Big Brother Naija season 4 housemate, Ella Nnabuchi, has seemingly accused her former colleague, Natacha Akide, better known as Tacha, of being on hard drugs.

Ella levied this damning allegation against the entrepreneur and political activist while ranting during a recent Instagram live session.

According to Ella, Tacha was always dehydrated during the show and her lips looked patched as well, which is one of the signs of drug use.

She also claimed that Tacha’s jaw was “locking” during the BBNaija ‘Pepper Dem’ reunion show in 2020, which is common among persons who use heavy narcotics.

Ella claimed all of this to refute allegations that she is a drug user, claiming that Tacha is the one who uses hard drugs.

She also dared Tacha to publicly reveal how she was able to lose so much weight in a short time if it wasn’t for drugs.

Ella, who was amongst those who claimed that Tacha had mouth and body odour during the show, also called her out for blocking her on social media.

Back in 2020, reality TV star, Venita accused Ella of being very deceitful and having bipolar disorder.

This came after Ella publicly seeked help online for her mum’s ill health, which she didn’t share details about in November 2019.

However, the other housemates revealed that Ella got money from some of them and still went public and begged for money, making them all look bad, as people kept asking why she was begging when the housemates could help.

Venita Akpofure in particular, was livid as she called Ella out, saying she suspects strongly that she is very deceitful.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie has set tongues wagging on the internet over the way he greeted the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, at a recent event.

The incident took place at the birthday celebration of Nigerian philanthropist and wife of Nigerian oil mogul, Tein Jack-rich, Elizabeth Jack-rich.

A video making rounds online shows Pete Edochie shaking the revered Osun monarch instead of prostrating or bowing down to him, as Yoruba custom dictates.

The 76-year-old actor attended the high-class celebration with his colleague, Kanayo O. Kanayo, and was taken to where the Ooni of Ife sat with his wife and other dignitaries upon his arrival.

Instead of bowing to the king in honor of his kingly status, Pete Edochie gave him three back handshakes and a firm one. Kanayo O. Kanayo also shook hands with the king before they were led to their seats.

The video has sparked a barrage of reactions on social media, with many claiming that Pete Edochie’s action was disrespectful to the king, while others defended him, stating that the septuagenarian is also a chieftain in his community.

Nigerian singer Joseph Akinfenwa Donus, popularly known as Joeboy, has revealed that he has spent approximately 50 million Naira on his girlfriend in the last two years.

The 26-year-old singer made this disclosure in a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos.

The “Alcohol” singer, who recently opened up about being in a committed relationship, expressed his penchant for lavishing gifts on his partner.

He noted that although he is uncertain about the exact figure, he is confident that he has spent at least 50 million Naira on his girlfriend in the past two years.

“That was a rough estimate. I said at least N50m. I don’t know for sure. It’s not like I’m counting [it could be more]. She [my girlfriend] has to enjoy. I’m enjoying too.” He said.

During the 8-day Fidau Prayer held in his honor, some Islamic clerics claiming to be members of the burial committee announced that Adunni Ade owed the deceased N250,000 and urged her to refund it.

They claimed that Murphy had sent the money to Adunni Ade as payment for a role in his upcoming movie before his sudden death.

Finally breaking her silence on the debt allegations through a statement issued by her team, Adunni Ade debunked the reports of being indebted to the late actor.

According to her, Murphy Afolabi had contacted her for a job in 2021 and had paid her the sum of N150,000.

However, she was unable to deliver the job due to the death of her brother and refunded the actor his money when he tried to make another agreement with her.

To support her claims, Adunni shared screenshots of her bank statement, which showed that she received N150,000 from Murphy in July 2021 and how she sent the money back to him in October 2021.

An old video of UK-based Nigerian YouTuber, Emdee Tiamiyu, recounting his struggles before his relocation to the European country has surfaced online.

Emdee recently faced criticism from Nigerians over his recent interview with BBC News, where he stated that most Nigerians use MSc degrees as a means to gain entry into the UK, without a genuine interest in gaining new knowledge.

During the interview, Emdee expressed his view that his fellow countrymen are not genuinely interested in education or the degree itself; they only want to relocate to the UK with their families.

His words,

“The student route is more like an answered prayer. It is a big bracket that’s able to take a lot of people, the ordinary people. We’re beginning to see that a lot of people just hide behind the studentship. So the student thing is not real, it’s not like they need the degrees.”

Emdee’s comments did not sit well with many Nigerians, and they criticized him for his unguarded remarks on an international platform.

Although he has since apologized to everyone offended by the claims he made in the interview, an old video of Emdee recounting his own struggles in Nigeria before eventually getting the opportunity to leave has resurfaced and generated fresh reactions.

Embattled Afrobeats singer, Seun Kuti has he broken his silence following his release on bail from prison.

Seun Kuti was granted bail and freed from jail by the Lagos State police command yesterday in the wee hours.

Confirming his release, the lawyer Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika told journalists,

“Yes, Ṣeun Kuti was released minutes ago. His bail conditions had been perfected since last Thursday, but the police asked for an extension to remand him in their custody until today (Tuesday), to conclude an investigation.”

Suen Kuti took to his page a few hours after being freed to express his gratitude to his defense attorney, his family, and loved ones who supported him and helped make his release possible.

A Nigerian man has taken to social media to lament bitterly after his landlord did shoddy plumbing work in his apartment and expects him to live with it.

The man, who rented the apartment two months ago, was shocked to discover two poorly installed pipes inside his room upon returning from work last week.

Apparently, the landlord passed toilet pipes from two other apartments in the compound through his room and kitchen, without properly covering it, leaving them fully exposed for anyone to see.

When he complained to the landlord, he allegedly dismissed his concerns and threatened to refund his rent if he can’t live in the apartment.

Lamenting the situation, the young man said he will be traumatized if he continues to live in the room, and called for justice.

A Nigerian lady, Vash Offo, has narrated how her best friend, who is a medical doctor, divorced her husband because of his controlling nature.

Vash, in a series of tweets, revealed that the husband imposed strict restrictions on her friend and stopped her from hanging out with her friends.

She said he once scolded her for visiting her own parents, who live in the same city as them, and ordered her to stop working night shifts.

According to her, her friend finally decided to leave the marriage when her husband locked her out of their home because she went for a group study at night.

Contrary to what y’all like to think, women are not divorcing men in Nigeria, enough!!! A lot of women are still putting up with so much rubbish. Believe it or not, a lot of women are suffering because of the shame of a marriage not working out.

If you see a divorced woman in Nigeria, biko applaud her. It must have taken a lot for her to decide to leave that marriage. A lot are still suffering. I will always be in awe of women that leave ugly marriages in Nigeria.

My friend’s dad actually told her, ‘if your husband wants you to stop visiting your parents house, respect him. He is your husband’ Her dad also said, ‘why are you even seeing your friends and going for weddings? Stay at home if that’s what he wants’ . Still it wasn’t enough.

We don’t talk enough about the loyalty that a lot of Nigerian fathers owe to the men their daughters are married to. They transfer the control they had as fathers to the husbands. It’s like women have no agency and are just property. Nigeria is WILD!

“We need to take away shame in Nigeria and I’m glad that the stigma that comes with being divorced, is being dealt with… but to be honest, just a tiny part of the surface has been scratched. Many more women are still putting up with a lot to just remain married.”

A UK-based gay Nigerian man, identified as Tosin Ojutalayo, has officially tied the knot with his lover, Andrew Odong.

The couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony held at Castle Bay in Hyères, France.

Tosin took to Twitter on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, to share photos from their wedding and also revealed how they first met ten years ago.

He disclosed that their love story began a decade ago when Andrew first slid into his DM while he was in a relationship.

Tosin, who prides himself on being a faithful partner, said he immediately shut down the advances. However, fate had a different plan.

Two months later, they unexpectedly crossed paths at a dinner party, reigniting their connection.

Sharing their unique love story on the platform, he wrote, “He slid into my DMs while I was in a relationship, and I shut it down, of course, because #YorubaMenDontCheat. Then, 2 months later (now single), I walked into a dinner party, and he was there. 10 years later, we’re getting married in 2 weeks.”

In another post via his Twitter handle on Tuesday, May 23 he revealed that they are now married.

A Nigerian clergyman, Iyke Ezekiel, and his wife, Doris Ezekiel, have welcomed a baby girl after 20 years of marriage.

Pastor Yinka Yusuf, the General Overseer of the Household of God Church in Lagos State, along with his wife, Rose Yusuf, shared the good news on Facebook.

They posted photos from the baby’s dedication ceremony, which took place on Sunday, May 21, 2023.

Pastor Yinka Yusuf wrote, “After 20 years of waiting, God blessed my beloved son, Pastor Iyke, the Pastor of our Abuja Household of Love Church, and his beautiful wife, Doris, with a wonderful baby. I was there in Abuja this morning to dedicate the baby. Miracles are forever, and you are next in line for a Miracle.”

His wife also expressed her joy for the couple in a Facebook post, saying, “What a joy as we dedicate our beautiful granddaughter, the daughter of our son and daughter-in-law, Pastor Iyke and Pastor Doris, after waiting for 20 years! Our God is a faithful God! Just because you haven’t testified doesn’t mean God has forgotten you. It simply means that God is on His way to you. Our God never fails! Miracles happen turn by turn. A lady has taken to social media to express her disappointment in her partner after he bought her a phone that had a lower value than the one she had requested.

According to the lady, she had informed her boyfriend that she wanted a particular brand of phone which costs N345,000 for her birthday. However, he ended up buying a phone worth N120,000.

Upon receiving the phone and realizing it wasn’t what she had wanted, she said she was heartbroken because she knew her partner could afford the phone she asked for.

In an attempt to address the issue, she sent him a lengthy note expressing her disappointment. Unfortunately, he did not respond to any of her messages, leaving her feeling ignored and further hurt.

“I’m 24 years old and this is my first relationship, my guy is good and spends for me, but during my last birthday I told him I wanted a phone, the cost then was 345k, I knew he could afford it, it’s less than his salary of 400k in one month, but he got me a 120k phone. I felt heart broken, cheated, jilted, I felt I wasn’t wanted, I felt disrespected.

I sent him a long text and asked for a break, he didn’t even reply. It’s been 4 months now, I’ve written to him almost ten times since last week, called him but he keeps blocking my calls, I wanted to tell him I’ve forgiven him so we can move on. I love him so much, I miss him and it’s affecting my health. I didn’t do anything wrong in my opinion, what can I do to get him back please? I will also like people’s opinion.” She narrated.

Reality TV star, Leo Da Silva, has spoken out in defense of UK-based YouTuber, Emdee Tiamiyu, who is currently facing heavy backlash for his recent interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

During the interview, Emdee claimed that many Nigerians enter the UK under the guise of studying but actually have a hidden agenda to ‘japa’ and find better opportunities in the country.

He made this statement shortly before UK implemented a policy restricting foreign students from bringing their family members along for academic programs below the PhD level.

The interview didn’t go down well many Nigerians, who didn’t hesitate to drag him to filth for ‘exposing’ the well-kept secret of Nigerians. Some also opined that the video evidence will be used against Nigerians in the future and will make it difficult for Nigerians to migrate to the UK.

Reacting to the saga, former Big Brother Naija, Leo Da Silva, took to Twitter to defend Tiamiyu, arguing that it’s not his fault because UK would have implemented the policy with or without the interview.

He explained that he lived in the UK for 10 years and knows for a fact that UK authorities always clamp down on anything that will benefit other nationalities in the UK.

According to Leo DaSilva, UK only needed the interview with Emdee as PR so they won’t appear prejudice or racist.

He wrote in a series of tweets,

“I just want to point this out, this also happened to us in England a few years after in 2010. Conservatives changed many immigration laws for us.
The UK have done this constantly and they just needed this PR not to seem prejudice/racist.
He is not at fault at all.
We will eventually have to focus on developing Nigeria.

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has reacted to her colleague Adunni Ade being called out over an alleged debt of N250,000.

Adunni Ade made headlines a few days ago when some Islamic clerics, during the late Nollywood actor Murphy Afolabi’s firdau prayer, accused her of owing him N250,000.

According to the clerics, who claim to be members of Murphy’s burial committee, he had paid Adunni Ade the money for a role in his movie before his sudden passing.

However, Adunni Ade has now come forward to deny the allegations, stating that she had already refunded Murphy Afolabi’s money prior to his death.

Adunni explained that Murphy Afolabi had approached her for a job in 2021 and paid her the sum of N150,000. However, she was unable to proceed with the job due to the death of her brother.

She said that she requested his account number and promptly refunded the N150,000 when he attempted to make another agreement with her.

In response to the saga, Nkechi Blessing took to Adunni Ade’s comment section to express her support.

She noted that when someone becomes disliked in the movie industry, those in positions of power will go to great lengths to see them fall.

“If they don hate person for that their industry they will go to any length to see that person fall. Thank God say man no be God…. It’s well!”, she wrote.

Recall that in February, Sandra accused Nancy of sleeping with her ex-husband. A Nigerian businesswoman has claimed that the late Nollywood actor Murphy Afolabi owed her a huge sum of money before his sudden passing.

The woman made this claim during the Firdau Prayer held in honor of the late thespian on Monday, May 22nd, 2023, in Lagos State.

During the event, the woman stepped forward and informed the Islamic clerics that she had a N1.4 million business dealing with the actor before his death, which he had not yet paid.

When asked what she wanted them to do, she informed them that a committee is already working on recovering the owed funds from the deceased actor’s family.

During the 8-day Firdau Prayer held in his honor, some Islamic clerics claiming to be members of the burial committee announced that Adunni Ade owed the deceased N250,000 and urged her to refund it.

They claimed that Murphy had sent the money to Adunni Ade as payment for a role in his upcoming movie before his sudden death.

Finally breaking her silence on the debt allegations through a statement issued by her team, Adunni Ade debunked the reports of being indebted to the late actor.

According to her, Murphy Afolabi had contacted her for a job in 2021 and had paid her the sum of N150,000.

However, she was unable to deliver the job due to the death of her brother and refunded the actor his money when he tried to make another agreement with her.

To support her claims, Adunni shared screenshots of her bank statement, which showed that she received N150,000 from Murphy in July 2021 and how she sent the money back to him in October 2021.
