Made In Nigeria Indomie Instant Noodles Is Not Affected By Issues In Malaysia And Taiwan

Made In Nigeria Indomie

Recently, there has been a lot of discussion on social media over whether Indomie noodles are safe for consumption. While this news is coming from Malaysia and Taiwan, we cannot ignore Nigeria because of the global village concept.

A recent statement issued by Malaysian and Taiwanese health officials claiming to have detected ethylene oxide, a compound in Indomie’s “Special Chicken” flavor noodles produced by Indofoods, has jolted the global noodles giant into a series of investigations to ascertain the health officials’ claim.

The Malaysian Ministry of Health (MOH) immediately issued a directive to hold, test, and release the Indomie Special Chicken Flavour instant noodles products from Malaysia at all entry points, and urged the manufacturer to voluntarily recall the affected products from Malaysian and Taiwanese markets.

Made In Nigeria Indomie

Despite the fact that this incident occurred in faraway Asian countries, it has raised a number of concerns among Indomie Instant Noodles consumers worldwide, particularly in Nigeria, which is one of the world’s largest consumers of noodles.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has told Nigerians that the importation of Noodles into the country has been banned for a long time and has not been lifted, therefore consumers should not be concerned.

NAFDAC employs stringent food safety measures in regulating noodle production in Nigeria.

In response to reports of detections in Malaysia and Taiwan, NAFDAC Director-General Professor Mojisola Adeyeye stated, “Instant noodles is on the importation prohibition list of the Federal Government. This variant or flavour is not registered by the agency, nor is it produced locally here, and has been banned from importation to Nigeria many years ago.”

“However, NAFDAC is working to ensure that the product does not come into Nigeria. The NAFDAC Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (FSAN) department has begun a post-marketing surveillance (PMS) investigation, and the Food Lab Services Directorate has also been notified.”

“NAFDAC’s Food Safety and Applied Nutrition Directorate will commence a random sample of Indomie noodles including the seasoning from the production facilities here in Nigeria and the markets to ascertain that the variants of noodles produced and marketed in Nigeria are safe for consumption.” She added.

When the manufacturer of Indomie Instant Noodles in Nigeria, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, was contacted about their position on the ongoing investigation in Malaysia and Taiwan, the Group Public Relations Manager, Tope Ashiwaju, stated that Nigerians have nothing to fear because no such detection has been found in Indomie Instant Noodles produced in Nigeria. He emphasized that Indomie Instant Noodles is manufactured locally in Nigeria using the strictest production techniques, which are regularly audited by government regulatory bodies.

He emphasized that the company has consistently met the standard procedures established by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON), and the International Standard Organization (ISO), as well as other international standards, and that it is highly rated as a healthy nutritious meal for the entire family. He emphasized that Dufil is committed to always providing the highest quality Indomie noodles to its customers.

The outcome of the random sample testing by NAFDAC which will commence today will go a long way in assuring Nigerians that their favourite Indomie Instant Noodle is truly safe for consumption.

Popular Nigerian singer, Zlatan, has revealed that he used the car he won in a music competition at 19 as a taxi.

According to him, after winning the car, it took him another four years to achieve career success after he was assisted by Olamide and Davido.

“I qualified among the two to go represent my school in the grand finale [of a music competition]. So, like tactically out of 140 candidates. With just two tracks, I just started rapping.

“I know nothing about music. I just started writing and downloading beats online. And out of 140 people, I don’t know how God did it, I won a brand new car when I was 19 years old.

My first semester in school. From there, I just sat down and said to myself, if I can win a brand new car, seems God is telling me something. I took it seriously from there.

“After that, it took me another four years after I won the car. I ended up using the car as [a] taxi because I could not maintain the car or maintain the lifestyle. Before, Olamide saw me one day and hit me up on Instagram. He called me up and made a song for me, for free,[and also] came for the video shoot for free. To me, that was like my breakthrough song in 2017.

“Davido saw the song [Body], and danced to it; the video was his first one million views on Instagram. And, he called me to come to his house. He made [a] song for me. I told him I don’t have money for [the] video. He gave me money for the video. After then, I made Zanku, and since then it has been blessings upon blessings.” He said.

“Ban the importation of human hair and its sale in Nigeria” – Reno Omokri speaks on how to cure inferiority complex

Reno Omokri speaks

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has shared his thoughts on how to combat the rising level of inferiority complex among Nigerian women.

Taking to his Instagram page, he proposed that the federal government should ban the importation and sale of human hair in Nigeria.

He stated that many women spend a lot of money to look like copies of Caucasian women, causing Nigeria to lose millions of dollars to the importation of human hair.

Reno Omokri speaks

The controversial social media commentator also called for the ban of bleaching cream in Nigeria.

He wrote,

“A Bitter Pill To Cure Nigeria’s Chronic Inferiority Complex

Why do we deplete our foreign reserves to import human hair into Nigeria? That is crazy! God gave our women hair.

We should ban the importation of human hair and its sale in Nigeria.

It may shock you to note that Nigeria imports multi millions of dollars worth of human hair annually. And much of that hair is unwashed, untreated human hair from Bangladesh. What a waste of our reserves.

And for what? To make our women look like very bad copies of European, Latin and Asian women?

And while we are at it, let us save another hundreds of millions of dollars by banning the importation and sale of bleaching creams into Nigeria, by whatever name, be it toning, organic, or exotic creams.

The degree of self-hate these products evince should have alarmed a responsible government ages ago.

A major cause, if not the number one cause, of skin cancer and kidney and liver diseases in Nigeria is skin bleaching. And that means that the close to $250 million we spend on these harmful chemicals annually is not the actual financial cost. You must add the loss of man hours to our economy, the medical expenses, and the cost of raising children who have lost one or more parents due to health problems arising from skin bleaching.

And beyond banning these hairs and creams, we can help our people, especially the younger generation, acquire a better self-image.

The NBC can introduce edicts that make it compulsory for Nigerian TV anchors to have natural hair and complexion and speak in Nigerian accents. This should also apply to Nollywood.

The reason Nigerian music is now popular worldwide is that President Obasanjo and Senator Ben Murray-Bruce came up with a mandate FORCING Nigerian radio and TV stations to play a minimum of local Nigerian content.

The reason Nigerians now head international oil exploration companies in Nigeria is not that the corporations were nice. No. It is because President Jonathan initiated and signed the Local Content Law mandating it in 2010.

If you put an unbleached Black African woman in her natural hair besides the most beautiful blond hair, blue eyed beauty, she will hold her own.”

“They be like, ‘You love her? You love when she does doggy?’ [Laughs]. I will be like, ‘Baba, she did that with you too?’ And they will like, ‘Ah! She bad o, no worry’.” He said.

Speaking further, he noted that many Lagos residents are unknowingly dating the same people.

“We all dey f*ck each other, we all dey date each other. No worry. I feel like this whole thing now, when it was business, some people will share it, some people won’t share it. When it’s relationship, some people will share it, some people won’t share it.

Again, back to Psychology, if that relationship is so important to you, maybe you won’t share it [the relationship on social media]. Because if you share it, problems will come. If you are ready to struggle through those problems, then you will make it. If not, don’t worry.” He added.
