Reality tv star, Venita Akofure has stirred reactions from netizens after sharing an emotional and educating video with her 5-year-old daughter.

The actress revealed that her daughter thinks that marriage is basically for making babies and gender reveals.

She, however, took the liberty to explain to her daughter that marriage is all about partnership. She apologized to her for not having a father figure in the picture and promised to get married soon.

Venita wrote;
“I get asked questions all the time about balancing Motherhood and Work. Truth is I’m also forging ahead blindly and trusting in God. I hardly post these kind of things but I just want those Queens who are doing the damn thing on their own to be encouraged.
My kids are brought up to hold people accountable and take accountability. As much as you may try all things are not perfect. And that’s ok.
Don’t fall under that microscopic pressure. A happy Parent is always best. I’ll never deceive or lie to my kids about the reality of Life. It’s a huge flaw in African Parenting. Tell the truth to your seedlings. Prepare the child for the road, NOT the road for the child.”

Officers of the Ogun State Police Command detained 43-year-old Abiodun Oladapo on March 24 for reportedly having an affair with his 19-year-old daughter.

The suspect was detained as a result of a complaint made by one Oluwatoyin Idowu to the Mowe divisional headquarters, who claimed that her son Michael Idowu had been falsely accused of having an unplanned pregnancy and that she had thoroughly interrogated her son to find out that the victim was not telling the truth.

According to a statement from the state police command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the victim—who is five months pregnant—was contacted after the report and invited to the station, where she told the officers that although Michael Idowu had slept with her in December 2022, her father, Abiodun Oladapo, was actually the one responsible for her pregnancy.

“I don’t try to be unnecessarily nice or friendly with people” – Actress, Kiekie

Nigerian comedienne and actress, Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, has stated that she does not make an effort to be friends with everyone because it is impossible to win everyone’s approval no matter what one does.

She shared this while speaking on Taymesan’s Tea With Tay show, where she confessed that she is not a people person by nature, a fact that many people struggle to accept.

Kiekie also emphasized the need to work diligently to succeed in her job because she does not believe in receiving favors.

The mother of one said;

“I don’t believe that things should be handed to me. I believe in owning it. I believe that I am enough. I don’ try to be unnecessarily nice or friendly with people. That is one reality many people are not really open to. No one likes everybody or everything. There are some foods that one does not like. So, why should everybody like one?
I said to myself if I was not given a platform, I would create one myself. As of that time, I had started posting fashion content, and I had 20,000 followers on Instagram.”

According to Kiekie, she was also very naughty as a young child, but aside from that, her father and mother knew she would grow up to be a child of wonders.

She said;

“I am the last child. Being the last child comes with a lot of mischief. I was very mischievous as a child. And, that made me to get away with many things. I attended a girls only school, and I stayed in the hostel. Since I was very young, my parents had known that I was going to be a child of wonders. At no point did they try to stop me.”

“Davido has always been a terror and genius” – Lawyer, Prince recounts childhood experience

Popular Nigerian singer Davido’s lawyer, Bobo F. Ajudua popularly known as Prince, has recounted how they met in school and their happy times together.

He claimed that although Davido was two grades below him at the British International School where they both went, his music regularly disturbed him.

Prince claimed that Davido was and still is a musical prodigy and that he was a terror in school, but he wished for him to put his studies before music or any other pursuits.

The attorney, who disclosed this in an interview with The Punch, also recalled how Davido approached him several years after graduation when he had already achieved fame, and requested that he serve as his business manager and attorney.

In his words;

“David and I go back many years. We attended BIS together. He was one of my school sons back in the day. He was a terror then, and he is a terror now. There was a two or three year gap between us. At that time, most seniors did not relate with their juniors, but I had my favourites. Though we did not have much in common, we bonded in a weird way. Whenever school was on break, we used to keep in touch through MSN messenger.
Once in a while, I would login to the messenger service and receive messages from one annoying junior student (David Adeleke ) saying, “Hey big bro, I have started singing, and there is this cool song I want you to listen to.” As cool as I was back then, I did not need to be speaking to any junior, but something in me was just never rude to him. I was always warm and receptive; and I would tell him to send the song.
I recall that some of the melodies back then were not bad. As far as I’m concerned, David has always been a genius; but, I thought he was better off facing his books. Another time, he sent me a message, saying he had started taking vocal lessons. Till date, I have a lot of old and unreleased songs from him from back in the day when we were teenagers. When I left BIS and moved to Cambridge, we kept in touch and have been good friends. He always respected me as a senior that he could trust, and I always had a fondness for him.
Some years down the line, he had started doing music and was making waves. On my part, I went to the university to study. After I graduated and moved back to Nigeria, he popped out again from the woodwork, and said he wanted me to be his lawyer.
At that time, nobody was trying to be an entertainment lawyer. Lawyers were trying to go to court, get the big briefs, work for big companies, and defend successful people. When I moved back to Nigeria, we met and continued our relationship. The next thing I knew was that I became his personal lawyer and that of his family. After a while, he got me to come onboard fully as part of his management team. A lot of people do not know that Davido is co-managed by me and Asa Asika. This is, in fact, the first time I will be saying this publicly. The structure is a seamless one. Asa is his entertainment manager, while I am his legal and business manager. We spread the work between ourselves.
To sum up our relationship, I am David’s friend, brother, lawyer and manager. Our lives are intertwined in many ways. Inasmuch as I am older than him, sometimes, he gives some quality advice that I obviously won’t be sharing with you. I can assure you that my relationship with him is one I will not trade for anything. He has actually turned out to be one of my best friends ever.”
