“They said I was not born again enough” — Lady recounts how she was physically abused by her biological parents

Lady recounts

A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to recount how she was physically abused and tortured by her biological parents for years.

The lady, identified as @Love24Kay on Twitter, said she was subjected to inhumane treatments by her religious parents because they felt she was not “born again enough”.

Detailing some of the agonizing punishments she suffered, the lady said she hated Jesus, the church and her parents for years, and battled with low self-esteem issues.

According to her, she got married at the young age of 18 because she wanted to leave her parent’s house by all means. She added that she still finds it difficult to forgive them till date.

Read her heartbreaking post below,

“My mom beat me and out pepper inside my vagina for going to my neighbor who is a boy house. My dad beats me till I faint bleeding from my nose, I’ve fainted in school due to beating, eyes, mouth and body swollen for smallest mistakes.
They refused to send me to the university.

Because to them I’m not born again enough, or good Christian enough, if I go to the university, the freedom there will move me farther from Christ. I’ll be beaten like a criminal if I don’t go to church.
I hated Jesus, church, religion, my parents for years.

I had serious case of low self-esteem, couldn’t walk with my head up high, I still can’t till now, attempted suicide thrice.
Became hateful, spiteful, I would imagine evil things happening to them. I even thought of setting the whole house on fire once.
Couldn’t heal.

I got married at 18, to leave the house yeah. Didn’t call or contact my parents for 4 years after my marriage.
I’m still healing, picking up pieces of my childhood, trying not be the same with my kids.
Trying to find a way to let go and forgive. We talk once in a while now.”

He wrote;

“Opinionated people:
They have little awareness of how they’re coming off or how others are emotionally reacting to them. Often they have the best of intentions to help whomever they’re speaking to and can’t understand why the other person isn’t happy to hear what they have to say.
Keep your opinions to yourself,
I don’t care how anyone feels about how I have decided to live my life.
Just focus on you and leave I and those I have decided to love out.
Beacuse we are very pretentious about showing real love, when we see real love we call it clout.”

It does no good. Stay away from drugs!!
Hang in there if you are going through a lot.

It is not always in the place of a man to make approaches. I feel every lady should walk up to a guy and express her feelings. If any guy turns me down, it is fine, at least I tried. According to her, as per the Isoko tradition, the first meal she made for her husband was to be very special, so she was asked to cook outside the compound using firewood and serve him while kneeling on both knees.

She added that her husband was not spared, as he was also asked to tie a wrapper around himself and shower her with prayers while he ate the food.

“May death take me before my time if I am gay or nurse any idea to sleep with men” – Yomi Casual says as he denies rumors about his sexuality

Fashion designer, Omoniyi Olorunyomi Makun popularly known as Yomi Casual, has finally reacted to rumors from some social media users about his sexuality.

In a post shared on his Instagram page this afternoon, the fashion designer denied the claims while raining curses to befall him if it was true that he’s into men.

Yomi said if the rumors are false, may the same curse befall those peddling the rumors.

He wrote;

“It is always easy for friends and family to reach out and always say, “Ignore them… Silence is golden… they will get tired and move on to the next person.” But I am the one wearing the shoes, and I am the one feeling all pains and damages to my reputation as a father, husband, and businessman.

Coming out of church today and having reflected on all the lies against me, I want to say I am not too good a Christian who would turn and take a slap on the other cheek. Enough is enough. Should I Omoniyi, Olorunyomi Makun be gay or nurse any single idea of sleeping with a fellow man, may death take me before my time, may everything that God has blessed me with be taken away from me. May I not prosper in anything I lay my hands to do. May failure become my portion in everything that concerns me till death.

On the other hand, if these are fabrications borne out of envy, jealousy, wickedness, and insecurities, I pray for the same God to vindicate me. May those of you who enjoy and share such lies against me be also entertained with the pain you bring to my family. May that thing that has kept you jobless remain in your lives till death. Today, i pronounce death, doom, and destruction on anyone who would continue to incite lies designed to assassinate my character. I also pronounce the same on those who fall and fly with it without confirmation.

MAY ALL THESE CURSES RETURN TO ME IF I AM TRULY GAY. Enough is enough!

Note: As you come here to say NO BLOG MENTIONED YOUR NAME, but some of you remembered to tag me or put in a comment with my name in their comment sessions… May you and your entire family suffer from depression and untimely death!”

“We should learn to be comfortable with divorce” – Aisha Yesufu

Popular human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu has given her opinion on marriage and its longevity.

Reacting to the news about Patrick and Iretiola Doyle’s marriage, she stated that the focus of marriage should be the happiness of the couple and not longevity.

According to her, people should be comfortable with divorce and understand that they can go their separate ways when the marriage no longer worked out and be happy.

She tweeted;

“We should learn to be comfortable with divorce. The longevity of a marriage should not be the prize. The prize should be happiness, fulfillment and mental well being of the couple involved. Where it is no longer optimal, people can decide to go their separate ways and be happy.”

A while back, Aisha Yesufu reacted to a Twitter user who said he has never seen a fine Edo man in all his years of existence.

The Twitter user shared his observation while reacting to a picture of a former governor of Edo state, Lucky Igbinedion, and the current governor of the state, Godwin Obaseki.

Reacting to the viral tweet that caused quite a buzz on the microblogging platform, Aisha, an Edo-born activist, agreed that men from her state are seldom handsome but stated that they are “fine where men are supposed to be fine”.

According to the mother of two, she can attest to this because her husband is also from Edo state.

“Edo men no dey carry am for face. Na where men suppose fine dem dey fine. As an Edo woman married to an Edo man I confirm to you, dem fine where man suppose fine. 🚶🏿‍♀️🚶🏿‍♀️🚶🏿‍♀️🚶🏿‍♀️”, she tweeted.

“Igbos should accept Brymo’s apology, he’s sincere” – Management

Olawale ‘Brymo’ Ashimi’s manager, Ortega Kakawa has revealed the singer tendered a sincere apology following his comments against Igbos on Twitter.

Recall that Brymo tendered an apology on his Instagram live for his comments about the Igbo people.

He said;

“It is very important you understand that this entire fracas began with me seeing in the media that Chimamanda Adichie (popular author) refused some national honours and had picked up some traditional title in the East at home. And I suggested that for me, it says a lot about the Igbo presidency because that actual seat is what the region should be eyeing right now. I have clamoured for Igbo presidency in the last few years, you wouldn’t believe it. It will pop in your mind when you hear the news that Igbos do not actually want the presidency. I did not insult the tribe, I am sorry to anyone who it sounded as such to. I was trying to weigh into a very important matter.”

However, many people failed to accept the musician’s apology because they believed it wasn’t genuine.

His manager, Ortega Kakawa in an interview with The Punch assured Nigerians that his apology was sincere and not under duress.

In his words;

“Brymo has apologized to the entire Igbo on his Twitter space and Instagram live, where he addressed the fracas and miscommunications he may have caused online. His apology was not under duress but at free will in his personal space. The entire management also sends heartfelt sincere apology to every Nigerian in the country and in the diaspora that may have been affected. We hope every petition signed against him is nullified in good light.”

“Ladies need to know there’s nothing wrong with wooing a man” – Ugoccie.

Nigerian singer, Ugochi Anosike, popularly known as Ugoccie, has reassured ladies that there is nothing wrong with making advances at men.

Ugoccie shared this during an interview while recalling how she once asked a guy out and he agreed to date her.

According to her, the relationship worked out well for the period they were together.

In her words;

“I have told someone that I liked him before. I told him because most of the time people have this notion that if a lady walks up to someone and says she likes him, she is cheap. If one doesn’t tell a guy about his feelings, how is the guy supposed to know?
It is not always in the place of a man to make approaches. I feel every lady should walk up to a guy and express her feelings. If any guy turns me down, it is fine, at least I tried. I once asked out a guy who did not say no and the relationship worked. However, the guy and I are no longer together.”

She also revealed that she once gave a guy some money she was supposed to give to her family.

“At that point, my family needed the money. I had absolutely no reason to give the money to that guy. The guy and I are not together anymore,” she said.

The clergyman made this statement in a lengthy post shared via his Twitter handle while advising people to let their friends get romantically involved with someone they dated in the past.

“Unpopular Opinion – Let your friends and family date your ex.🧵

A friend approached me to ask for my blessings. He wanted to date someone I once dated but ended the relationship amicably.

Despite the fact that I was deeply hurt because I couldn’t date her. I mean, I had emotionally invested my being into this relationship for 18 months, still, I gladly gave him my blessing and have been excited about the two of them ever since.

Do not let “bro code or sister code” prevent your friends from dating amazing people who aren’t just your match or fit.

When someone dates or marries someone you’ll have loved to be with, learn to be excited for them.
Wish them well, Pray for them.
Show and share in their joy.

It might take some work but it important work. Don’t be the wicked sad uhmmm… witch. Jokingly serious. Lol.

Except that ex was a terrible person.

Bdw, did he need my permission or blessing to proceed with the relationship? Absolutely not.

But I appreciate the maturity he displayed in doing that. He had earned my respect forever.

Think of it this way; Would you prevent your friend or family from dating someone who you know is an amazing person just because you both once dated?

We find it awkward because we do and share things only married people should 🌚 not because it’s bad.”

“We are very pretentious about showing real love, when we see real love we call it clout” – Ubi Franklin writes after being criticized for tattooing Davido’s late son’s nickname on his hand

Music executive, Ubi Franklin has finally replied to those dragging him for tattooing Davido’s late son, Ifeanyi’s nickname on his hand.

Recall that Ubi took to Instagram to share a photo of his tattoo. It spells “Popsicle,” the nickname he gave the late Ifeanyi. The tattoo also includes a drawing of a dove with an olive branch in its beak.

However, some Nigerians were displeased with the tattoo and dragged Ubi online, tagging him as a “clout chaser.”

Taking to his Instastories, Ubi said most Nigerians are miserable and see one showing real love and call it clout because they are pretentious.

He wrote;
