A Nigerian lady, identified as Cynthia Adanne Agwu, has vowed never to date a man who makes less money than her.

Taking to Facebook to share her resolve, the farmer and entrepreneur said the stress of dating a man who doesn’t match or surpass her financial status is not worth it.

She said it was previously not a big deal for her to date a man she is richer than, but she has since changed her mind.

“One resolution I made this year – is never to have anything to do with a man whom I am financially better than. The stress is not always worth it. Before now I don?t mind but my choice have changed,” she said in a Facebook post on Monday, February 13, 2023.

A Nigerian woman who foretold the death of South African rapper, AKA, has shared a prophecy about Nigerian Grammy Award winner, Tems and American rapper, Future.

Following the death of the famous South African rapper, an old tweet that was shared by the woman via her Twitter handle, warning AkA about a gunshot that would take his life, surfaced online.

In 2021, the woman identified as Ahunna said God told her to warn AKA to avoid public gatherings or he would be the target of an assassination.

The quest for financial inclusion by the Federal Government received a boost on Wednesday, February 8, as frontline Payment Service Bank, MoneyMaster formally launched its market offering and flagship product, G-Kala, in Lagos.

G-Kala was unveiled by Moneymaster PSB at a special stakeholder event at Lagos Travel Inn, with regulators, market and trade associations, student union representatives, trade partners, and members of the press in attendance.

Amid the lingering scarcity of naira notes, the lady who made a statement in her perfectly tailored pink gown that people mistook her for the bride at the wedding devised a way to receive monetary gifts from guests.

In the viral clip, the lady had a wide, rectangular piece of paper with her account number on it on her hand while she danced.

Apparently, people who do not have cash to spray at the wedding due to scarcity were expected to make transfer to her account.

In related news, a celebrant has gotten people talking online about the ingenious strategy she devised for guests to spray money at her party.

in a bid to keep the longstanding culture of spraying money alive amid the lingering naira scarcity in Nigeria, the host went the extra mile to ensure her guests have money to spray.

She printed customized ‘naira notes’ with her picture on them and sold them to her party guests for a fee.

It was learnt that people who needed cash transferred the money they plan to spray to the celebrant, and received the equivalent customized notes.

A Nigerian man was recently captured on tape kneeling down to beg his ex-girlfriend to forgive and accept him back into her life.

In the video making rounds on TikTok, the man put his pride aside and went on his knees in a public gathering to plead for his ex-girlfriend’s forgiveness and acceptance.

Though the reason for their split is unknown, the man can be seen pleading with his girlfriend and groveling on the floor to express his regret.

However, the lady shoved him off when he held onto her leg and refused to give him audience. She also disclosed that it was too late for them to get back together.

In other news, Korra Obidi has finally revealed why she and her ex-husband, Justin Dean were banned from posting their children, June and Athena on social media.

Recall that a court in California, United States of America, recently barred the estranged couple from posting visuals of their children on social media.

In a court document dated January 19, 2022, the former couple, who are parents to June Dean and Athena Dean, were forbidden from posting videos, photos, or live-streams of their children or any content that has their children in it on social media until further notice.

However, Korra finally revealed the reason for the court injunction after a fan asked if Athena had started walking.

Ikenna Pope Nworah, the young man who was recently called out by his ex-lover for jilting her and marrying someone else, has finally broken his silence.

Recall that a Nigerian lady, identified as Chinesa Emmanule, accused her purported former lover, Ikenna, of abandoning her to marry another woman after she reportedly supported his migration abroad.

Chinesa was alleged to have paid a lot of money to enable Ikenna to move overseas with the promise of marrying her when he returned, but he married a younger lady instead.

Taking to her Facebook page, Chinesa demanded Ikenna to come and settle her or there will be no peace and happiness in his marriage. Read here.

Finally reacting to Chinesa’s allegations against him, Ikenna said he left her for his peace of mind and has no regrets about his decision.

He alleged that his ex-lover’s family has a history of severe mental illness, which is something he could not deal with.

Speaking further, Ikenna, who admitted that they were at one point living together as a couple, denied the claim that she sponsored his migration abroad.

He added that she wasn’t the only one spending in the relationship, as he also spent money on her as they were living together.

“I read on your wall where people are saying, she stole from her mother to send me abroad, And it’s really sad to see, her mother died before I even met her, if her mother had died before I met her, how did she sponsor me with her mother’s money that led to her mother’s death.

It all started after Anita took to her Instagram page to share photos of international music act Rihanna, congratulating her as she’s set to welcome her second child with her lover, A$AP Rocky.

Recall that the 34-year-old billionaire singer and businesswoman took everyone by surprise when she made the big reveal during her performance at the Super Bowl in State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday, February 12.

Lagos state government orders coroner inquest into the death of Chrisland student

The Lagos State Government has ordered a coroner’s investigation into the death of Whitney Omodesola Adeniran, the 12-year-old Chrisland School pupil who died on Thursday, February 9, during the school’s inter-house games at the Agege Stadium.

Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN), the Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice issued the decision in a statement today, saying that a comprehensive investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

“A Coroner’s Inquest has immediately been requested, in line with section 14 and 15 of the Coroner’s Systems Law, Laws of Lagos State 2015, to determine the cause and circumstances of death.
By Section 14(1)(d) of the Coroners? System Law of the State: ‘A report of death shall be made to any of the agencies for the report of death or the office of the Coroner and be subject to post-mortem examination where there is reasonable cause to believe that the cause of death was: violent, unnatural or suspicious.
Section 15(1) and (9) further enjoins the Coroner to hold an inquest whenever he or she is informed that the death of the deceased person was in a violent, unnatural, or suspicious situation or believes an inquest is desirable following the report of a reportable death”

, the statement read.

The commissioner stated that as a government, the security and well-being of citizens are of utmost importance while assuring the public that everything will be done to ensure that the cause of death is known.

Actress remanded in Kirikiri prison for spraying and stepping on newly designed naira notes

Nollywood actress, Oluwadarasimi Omoseyin, has been remanded in Kirikiri Prison for tampering with the newly redesigned naira notes at a party.

Omoseyin was arrested by operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) on Wednesday, February 1, and was turned over to the EFCC for investigation.

She was nabbed after a video of her spraying and stepping on the new naira notes at an event surfaced on the internet.

In her statement, the 31-year-old actress claimed she received the money from her fans at the party and has no idea how they got it.

She was arraigned before Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke at a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Monday, February 13, on a two-count charge brought against her.

One of the count reads,

“that you Oluwadarasimi Omoseyin on the 28 day of January, 2023 at Monarch event center, Lekki within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court whilst dancing during a social occasion tampered with the sum of N100, 000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria by spraying same in the said occasion and you thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 21 (1) of the Central Bank Act, 2007.”

She pleaded not guilty to the charges, and her lawyer, Adenike Goncalves, prayed the court to grant her bail.

However, Justice Aneke adjourned ruling on the bail application to Wednesday, February 15, and remanded her in Kirikiri correctional facility.

Popular actor and comedian, Ime Bishop Umoh better known as Okon Lagos, has lampooned men who abandon their lovers after collecting their money to relocate.

Reacting to the viral news of the man who married someone else after his girlfriend gave him her savings to travel abroad, he referred to them as weak men.

According to him, the traditional role of a man was to provide and protect his woman and any man who failed as such was not a real man.

He wrote;

A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ehioma also known as Fada Mentor, has warned people to be careful of the marriages they admire on social media.

Taking to Facebook on Sunday, February 12, the clergyman said some couples’ lives are different from the images they portray on social media, and if people are given the opportunity to watch their daily lives, they would be scared of getting married.

According to him, a good marriage is not about wearing matching outfits on social media, but what happens in reality.

He wrote,

Nigerian actress and Instagram slay queen, Esther Nwachukwu known as Esther Skyy, has stated that she does not indulge in prostitution as she leads her followers to believe.

During an interview with The Punch, she revealed that she posts overtly sexual content on social media just to be popular.

Esther also stated that she auditioned for Big Brother Naija six times and participated in several film auditions, but if one does not have a connection or is prepared to pay for roles, one may not become a celebrity.

She said;

“I am not a prostitute. I just decided to become controversial because I wanted to trend. I have been to so many auditions, but in the end, if one does not have money to produce one’s own movie or pay directors to give one a lead role, one would keep being a ‘handbag’ (being relegated). Veteran Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba has opened up on the difficulties that come with being a star and how it has affected his marriage.

Speaking with Sun newspaper, he revealed that as a celebrity, it was impossible to discern if people genuinely care about you or are simply attempting to use you.

The singer stated that, aside from those he met when he had nothing, he had to be cautious of people he met after he got famous since one cannot be assured of the motivation behind their connection.

He bemoaned that people forget celebrities are human and want them to constantly be on their best behavior.

He said;

“Most times you don’t have the ability to know somebody that genuinely cares about you, apart from the people you knew right from the time you started, when there was nothing. As a celebrity, most of the people I meet are those who I know through my celebrity status. So, you have to be careful because you don’t know the motive people have against you.
Sometimes people see me and make nasty comments. I would just turn around and ignore it. Many times, people forget that being a celebrity doesn’t mean you are not human.
Sometimes, I might just be in a bad mood and I’m probably at an airport. I might just want to walk straight into my flight quietly and people would be calling me for photographs. And, if I fail to do that and keep walking, they will tell me to go to hell; after all, my music is not good enough. On many occasions, some (Area) boys would ask, ‘Tubaba, is there anything for the boys’ and if I give them N1,000, they’ll say ‘Tubaba, you are bigger than that’. There are also other funny comments that I try to ignore.”

Addressing his marriage with his wife, the father of seven revealed that he had to change after marriage.
According to him, he no longer works late and must now return home to his wife and children. He also stated that he no longer parties as much as he used to. 2face also stated that he was initially opposed to getting married but eventually changed his mind.
In his words;

“To be frank, I was thinking that I would not marry. There was a time I said that I was not going to get married; but once the thought came, I decided to marry the woman who has been there for me when I had nothing.
And oh, I am happier than before. At least, I am more responsible now. When I was a bachelor, I could go out and come back anytime I wanted. But now, I cannot do that again. Now, once I am done with the day’s work, I have to go back home to my wife and kids. And then, the way I party before has reduced because I am married and getting older as well. Now as a married man, I have a sense of responsibility. I now know that I need to consult my wife before doing certain things, unlike before.”
