“He should have left her!” – Man slams his father for forgiving his mother after she cheated on him

Man slams

A man has taken to Twitter to berate his father for being ‘weak’ after discovering that he forgave his mother’s adultery.

The man with handle @Vhoyde disclosed that he recently discovered that his mother cheated on his dad before he was born, and his dad forgave and accepted her back.

According to him, this has changed his perception of his dad because he was too soft and should have dumped his mother for cheating.

He averred that a woman should never be forgiven for cheating because it is worse than a man doing same.

“I found out my dad took my mom back after cheating and I never looked at him the same again. Soft.

I wasn’t even born yet but I still think he should’ve left her

I’ve always believed that a woman cheating is worse and should never be forgiven. Thank you for validating this 😂” he tweeted on Tuesday, February 7.

When asked if his mother should have stayed if it was his dad who cheated, he responded in the affirmative, explaining that it is “tradition”.

“Nigeria’s economy will boom if government takes Nollywood seriously” – Ini Edo

Popular Nigerian actress Ini Edo has remarked that if the federal government provides the entertainment sector the attention and support it needs to prosper, it will significantly influence the economy.

The thespian said this during an interview with the Punch when asked to expatiate on her comment that the film industry is a doorway to Nigeria’s developmental problem.

According to her, despite the entertainment industry being the highest revenue-generating industry in the country, some of the major challenges included inadequate public funding and a lack of the right structures.

In her words;

“It is one of the highest revenue generating industries in the country. It provides employment for millions of youths, not to mention the number of people taken off the street, and the huge investments. If only the people (in leadership positions) understand what the movie industry can be to Nigeria’s economy, I think the government will see to it that the right structures are put in place, so that the sector can thrive.
It is one thing to see (potential); it is a different ball game to do something about it. Imagine me having a production like Shanty Town, and I had to fund it myself. There was no support from anyone. The poor electricity supply is a problem, and the cost of production is very high. There is no way that it favours one.
I mentioned the government part of it. Another aspect is funding. Funding seems to be a big challenge in the industry but I think things are changing because people can actually work up to one and say they want to invest (in the industry).
A couple of people have said that to me in recent times since Shanty Town was released. What that means is that if we keep improving and growing as an industry, funding would become less of a challenge.”

“CBN will not be used to frustrate 2023 polls” – Governor Godwin Emiefele tells INEC

The governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emiefele, has stated that the CBN would not be utilized to frustrate the next general elections.

Yakubu stated during the conference that while most election-related service providers are paid electronically, there are some important areas where cash payments are required, such as transportation and emergency circumstances.

In response Emefiele said,

“This issue of paying logistics for people who are going to be transporting election materials to wards, certainly I give it to you that because we regard the INEC project as an urgent national assignment, it cannot fail.
The central bank will not allow itself either to be used or to be seen as an agent that frustrated positive outcome of the election.
If you require cash to pay some of your service providers, we will make it available to you.
I will make sure that we will not allow ourselves to be seen as an agent that frustrated a positive outcome of the election.”

#BBTitans: “The people I roll with are deadly and they are watching” – Nana threatens following fight with Khosi (Video)

Big Brother Titans housemate, Nana recently got into a heated argument with fellow housemate Khosi.

The squabble that eventually had all the housemates interfering started on Monday night, when Khosi played cards upstairs and Thabang, who’s Nana’s paired partner, decided to talk to her.

Nana, who already feels Thabang‘s closeness to Khosi is the reason they have been twice nominated for eviction in a row, joked about his movement.

Khosi apparently wasn’t having it, and she rushed to confront Nana.

However, moments after the fight, Nana, in a chat with Thabang, bragged about how deadly the kind of people she relates with outside the house can be.

According to her, she knows deadly people who can deal with Khosi, and they are watching what’s happening on the show and will definitely come for anyone who upsets her.

“Sade Adu is the first Nigerian female artiste to win Grammy and not Tems” – Reno Omokri clarifies

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has corrected netizens for making claims and praising Tems as the first Nigerian woman to win a Grammy award.

Recall that Tems was nominated in the ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ and ‘Best Rap Song’ and won the ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ category on Sunday night, at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

Reno Omokri, however, has refuted claims that Tems is the first Nigerian woman to win the award, stating that Nigerian-British singer Sade Adu has always identified herself as a Nigerian.

According to Reno, Sade has spent 40 years promoting Nigeria and it would be wrong to give her credit to Tems.

He wrote”

“Sade Adu has always identified with Nigeria. When interviewed, she stressed her Nigerianness. She did not funkify her name to make it sound European.
In interview after interview, she asserted the fact that she is a Nigerian born in Ibadan. So, let us appreciate her. She is the first Nigerian female to win a Grammy in 1986. In honouring another female who eminently deserves to be honoured, let us not dishonour Sade Adu.
By saying someone else is the first Nigerian female to win a Grammy, what we are telling Ms. Adu is that she is not a Nigerian. I know many people will rush here to insult me. But before commenting, take a minute to put yourself in Sade Adu’s shoes.
You have spent 40 years promoting Nigeria. Insisting to the British media that you are Nigerian when they proudly claimed you for Britain. Then today, you read that someone else is the first Nigerian female to win a Grammy. How would you feel? If after you have put yourself in Sade Adu’s shoes you still feel the need to insult me, then please go ahead.”

“I love education, not so much traditional education, but I love to learn how the world works and how the human mind operates. So getting a degree in Mass Communication seemed congruent with my profession.

“Writing a headline is similar to writing a chorus. They both have to be catchy and evoke some emotional reaction. Music and news are both languages of emotional connection. So, it is a good thing to be educated on your passion. I have observed that you can be the most famous or richest person on earth and still be unhappy or unsatisfied on the inside.” He said.

High court restrains CBN from extending deadline on use of old naira notes

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has been barred from extending the deadline for the use of obsolete naira notes by a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) high court.

On January 29, the APEX bank extended the deadline for withdrawing obsolete naira notes from circulation until February 10.

Justice Eleojo Enenche, in a judgment delivered on Monday, February 6, in a matter titled FCT/HC/CV/2234/2023, instructed the CBN not to extend the deadline until the outcome of the litigation.

The action named the CBN, President Muhammadu Buhari, and many banks as defendants.

“An order of interim injunction is hereby made restraining the defendants whether by themselves, staff, agents, officers, interfacing banks or whosoever not to suspend, stop, extend, vary or interfere with the extant termination date of use of the old N200, N500, and N1000 bank note being 10th day of February, 2023, pending the hearing and determination of motion on notice,” the court held.

The judge also made an order of interim injunction “directing and mandating the defendants whether by themselves, staff, agents, officers, interfacing banks or whosoever described to comply with, implement and give effect to the currency redesign and restructuring of the old N200, N500, and N1000 bank note on or before the last day of 10th of February, 2023, pending the hearing and determination of motion on notice”.

The court further directed the bank heads, chief executive officers, managing directors and/or alter egos “to forthwith show cause as to why they shall not be arrested and prosecuted for the economic and financial sabotage of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by their illegal act of hoarding, withholding, nor paying or disbursing the new N200, N500 and N1000 bank note, being the legal tender of the federal republic of Nigeria to their respective customers, despite supplies of each such currency note by the 2nd and 3rd defendants, thereby leading to the present scarcity of currency notes in circulation”.

The order will be in effect for seven days until the request for notice is considered on February 14.

Banky W reveals how his wife, Adesua Etomi, reacted to his political ambition (video)

Banky W reveals

Nigerian music executive cum politician, Banky W, has revealed how his wife, actress Adesua Etomi, reacted to his decision to venture into politics.

The 41-year-old singer, who will run for the House of Representatives seat for Eti-Osa constituency under the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming election, shared this on his Instagram page while paying a touching tribute to his wife.

He said when he informed his wife about his ambition, she hated it because of how dirty and dangerous politics is in Nigeria.

 Banky W reveals

In response to her reservation, Banky W stated that if all the good people leave politics to the wicked, it will remain a dirty game.

According to him, Adesua eventually agreed with his decision after much deliberation and prayer, and she has been a huge pillar of support since he began his political career.

He posted a video from their visit to women leaders in Eti-Osa, Lagos, and wrote,

“Susu always hated politics… So when I began talking about the burden I had to run fos office, I’m sure you can imagine how she felt. She said “Banky I know you, and I know your heart… and if you’re given an opportunity, I’m sure you would do a great job and make a difference… BUT politics in Nigeria is dirty and dangerous. And I don’t want anything to soil you or harm you.”

My response was that our politics will always remain dirty and dangerous if the good people always avoid it. If the people who truly care about the state of our country don’t begin to participate in politics then we will never turn things around. We have to move past pointing fingers and complaining…to doing something about it.

So Susu and I did a lot of talking and praying together, and thank God she finally agreed. So I began this journey…one that I would never have been able to withstand, if she didn’t stand with me.

The life of a genuine public servant is tough. And it’s tough on your spouse too. There’s so much required of you… your time, talent and treasure… your sacrifice, tough skin and strength… your faith and finances. This much is certainly true – truly running for office, with the right intentions, is physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually the most draining thing you could ever do.

There’s no way I’d have been able to do this without Susu. So today please take a moment to help me say thank you to Mrs W. My friend and lover. My personal person and purpose partner.

Thank you Shuga. Thank you for everything. I love you, and I’m grateful to God for you.

– B.W.

PS: the video us a highlight reel of when we met with the women leaders of Eti-Osa. Truly a beautiful day.”

“I haven’t spoken to my father in 6 years” – Nigerian lady reveals years after losing mother to domestic violence (video)

A Nigerian woman has tearfully narrated how her mother died as a result of domestic violence at the hands of her father.

She shared her heartbreaking story during a service at Harvesters Church, Lagos, recently.

According to her, the experience has made it difficult for her to forgive her father, and she hasn’t spoken to him in six years.

She further disclosed that she now despises men and the idea of marriage because she had a bad experience with her father.

Her words:

“About my father, I grew up in a broken home basically and I kinda grew up with the fact that getting married is trash because I grew up with a father that is actually a domestic violent person.

“Then, I lost my mum to it. She had a brain tumour from too much hitting. For close to 6 years now I have been in denial about the fact that it didn’t hurt me and I didn’t forgive him for close to four years.

“I noticed that while I was battling with forgiving him I was travelling at work my work wasn’t moving properly. Like I would work and I won’t be able to receive what I work for and I didn’t know that that was what was happening.

“So one of these days I was watching a prayer and there was a prayer that said we had to let go. It has affected my dating life because I stay away from the gender honestly. I think I have a friend somewhere here. She could say it I’m always like I don’t want to talk about them.

“My friends are talking about marriage as I’m like “na una wan marry oh. Me e no dey my top 10 list”. I do that, I still do it. I’m sure they’re watching me live right now and they’re saying thank God she’s talking about it finally.

“I was finally able to forgive him but I have not been able to communicate with him. I haven’t had the courage to pick up my phone and call him, like I’ve not spoken to him in 6 years. I try whenever I call him it rings once he picks up the phone I end the call.”

Recall that a court in California, United States of America, recently barred the estranged couple from posting visuals of their children on social media.

In a court document dated January 19, 2022, the former couple, who are parents to June Dean and Athena Dean, were forbidden from posting videos, photos, or live-streams of their children or any content that has their children in it on social media until further notice.

In her words,

“Is Athena walking yet? You will never know, you will never know if she’s walking, you will never see her again because some of you were foolish enough to be calling from the UK calling child services 50 times.

“Now they have blocked you, you can’t see them anymore how does it feel to be a fool? You can’t see them anymore, they are gone. Out of the media eyes period.”
