“May death take me before my time if I am gay or nurse any idea to sleep with men” – Yomi Casual says as he denies rumors about his sexuality

Fashion designer, Omoniyi Olorunyomi Makun popularly known as Yomi Casual, has finally reacted to rumors from some social media users about his sexuality.

In a post shared on his Instagram page this afternoon, the fashion designer denied the claims while raining curses to befall him if it was true that he’s into men.

Yomi said if the rumors are false, may the same curse befall those peddling the rumors.

He wrote;

“It is always easy for friends and family to reach out and always say, “Ignore them… Silence is golden… they will get tired and move on to the next person.” But I am the one wearing the shoes, and I am the one feeling all pains and damages to my reputation as a father, husband, and businessman.

Coming out of church today and having reflected on all the lies against me, I want to say I am not too good a Christian who would turn and take a slap on the other cheek. Enough is enough. Should I Omoniyi, Olorunyomi Makun be gay or nurse any single idea of sleeping with a fellow man, may death take me before my time, may everything that God has blessed me with be taken away from me. May I not prosper in anything I lay my hands to do. May failure become my portion in everything that concerns me till death.

On the other hand, if these are fabrications borne out of envy, jealousy, wickedness, and insecurities, I pray for the same God to vindicate me. May those of you who enjoy and share such lies against me be also entertained with the pain you bring to my family. May that thing that has kept you jobless remain in your lives till death. Today, i pronounce death, doom, and destruction on anyone who would continue to incite lies designed to assassinate my character. I also pronounce the same on those who fall and fly with it without confirmation.

MAY ALL THESE CURSES RETURN TO ME IF I AM TRULY GAY. Enough is enough!

Note: As you come here to say NO BLOG MENTIONED YOUR NAME, but some of you remembered to tag me or put in a comment with my name in their comment sessions… May you and your entire family suffer from depression and untimely death!”

“We should learn to be comfortable with divorce” – Aisha Yesufu

Popular human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu has given her opinion on marriage and its longevity.

Reacting to the news about Patrick and Iretiola Doyle’s marriage, she stated that the focus of marriage should be the happiness of the couple and not longevity.

According to her, people should be comfortable with divorce and understand that they can go their separate ways when the marriage no longer worked out and be happy.

She tweeted;

“We should learn to be comfortable with divorce. The longevity of a marriage should not be the prize. The prize should be happiness, fulfillment and mental well being of the couple involved. Where it is no longer optimal, people can decide to go their separate ways and be happy.”

A while back, Aisha Yesufu reacted to a Twitter user who said he has never seen a fine Edo man in all his years of existence.

The Twitter user shared his observation while reacting to a picture of a former governor of Edo state, Lucky Igbinedion, and the current governor of the state, Godwin Obaseki.

See here.

Reacting to the viral tweet that caused quite a buzz on the microblogging platform, Aisha, an Edo-born activist, agreed that men from her state are seldom handsome but stated that they are “fine where men are supposed to be fine”.

According to the mother of two, she can attest to this because her husband is also from Edo state.

“Edo men no dey carry am for face. Na where men suppose fine dem dey fine. As an Edo woman married to an Edo man I confirm to you, dem fine where man suppose fine. 🚶🏿‍♀️🚶🏿‍♀️🚶🏿‍♀️🚶🏿‍♀️”, she tweeted.

“Igbos should accept Brymo’s apology, he’s sincere” – Management

Olawale ‘Brymo’ Ashimi’s manager, Ortega Kakawa has revealed the singer tendered a sincere apology following his comments against Igbos on Twitter.

Recall that Brymo tendered an apology on his Instagram live for his comments about the Igbo people.

He said;

“It is very important you understand that this entire fracas began with me seeing in the media that Chimamanda Adichie (popular author) refused some national honours and had picked up some traditional title in the East at home. And I suggested that for me, it says a lot about the Igbo presidency because that actual seat is what the region should be eyeing right now. I have clamoured for Igbo presidency in the last few years, you wouldn’t believe it. It will pop in your mind when you hear the news that Igbos do not actually want the presidency. I did not insult the tribe, I am sorry to anyone who it sounded as such to. I was trying to weigh into a very important matter.”

Watch the video here.

However, many people failed to accept the musician’s apology because they believed it wasn’t genuine.

His manager, Ortega Kakawa in an interview with The Punch assured Nigerians that his apology was sincere and not under duress.

In his words;

“Brymo has apologized to the entire Igbo on his Twitter space and Instagram live, where he addressed the fracas and miscommunications he may have caused online. His apology was not under duress but at free will in his personal space. The entire management also sends heartfelt sincere apology to every Nigerian in the country and in the diaspora that may have been affected. We hope every petition signed against him is nullified in good light.”

“Ladies need to know there’s nothing wrong with wooing a man” – Ugoccie.

Nigerian singer, Ugochi Anosike, popularly known as Ugoccie, has reassured ladies that there is nothing wrong with making advances at men.

Ugoccie shared this during an interview while recalling how she once asked a guy out and he agreed to date her.

According to her, the relationship worked out well for the period they were together.

In her words;

“I have told someone that I liked him before. I told him because most of the time people have this notion that if a lady walks up to someone and says she likes him, she is cheap. If one doesn’t tell a guy about his feelings, how is the guy supposed to know?
It is not always in the place of a man to make approaches. I feel every lady should walk up to a guy and express her feelings. If any guy turns me down, it is fine, at least I tried. I once asked out a guy who did not say no and the relationship worked. However, the guy and I are no longer together.”

She also revealed that she once gave a guy some money she was supposed to give to her family.

“At that point, my family needed the money. I had absolutely no reason to give the money to that guy. The guy and I are not together anymore,” she said.

“Let your friends and family date your ex. Don’t let bro or sis code prevent your friends from dating amazing people” – Nigerian pastor advises

Nigerian pastor advises

A Nigerian pastor, Tolulope Oludapo, has stated that there is nothing wrong in allowing your friends or family date your ex.

The clergyman made this statement in a lengthy post shared via his Twitter handle while advising people to let their friends get romantically involved with someone they dated in the past.

He said people should not allow “bro code” or “sis code” prevent their friends from dating amazing people, simply because they once dated them.

According to him, people only find it awkward because they engaged in premarital sex before the relationship ended.

“Unpopular Opinion – Let your friends and family date your ex.🧵

A friend approached me to ask for my blessings. He wanted to date someone I once dated but ended the relationship amicably.

Despite the fact that I was deeply hurt because I couldn’t date her. I mean, I had emotionally invested my being into this relationship for 18 months, still, I gladly gave him my blessing and have been excited about the two of them ever since.

Do not let “bro code or sister code” prevent your friends from dating amazing people who aren’t just your match or fit.

When someone dates or marries someone you’ll have loved to be with, learn to be excited for them.
Wish them well, Pray for them.
Show and share in their joy.

It might take some work but it important work. Don’t be the wicked sad uhmmm… witch. Jokingly serious. Lol.

Except that ex was a terrible person.

Bdw, did he need my permission or blessing to proceed with the relationship? Absolutely not.

But I appreciate the maturity he displayed in doing that. He had earned my respect forever.

Think of it this way; Would you prevent your friend or family from dating someone who you know is an amazing person just because you both once dated?

We find it awkward because we do and share things only married people should 🌚 not because it’s bad.”

“We are very pretentious about showing real love, when we see real love we call it clout” – Ubi Franklin writes after being criticized for tattooing Davido’s late son’s nickname on his hand

Music executive, Ubi Franklin has finally replied to those dragging him for tattooing Davido’s late son, Ifeanyi’s nickname on his hand.

Recall that Ubi took to Instagram to share a photo of his tattoo. It spells “Popsicle,” the nickname he gave the late Ifeanyi. The tattoo also includes a drawing of a dove with an olive branch in its beak.

However, some Nigerians were displeased with the tattoo and dragged Ubi online, tagging him as a “clout chaser.”

Taking to his Instastories, Ubi said most Nigerians are miserable and see one showing real love and call it clout because they are pretentious.

He wrote;

“Opinionated people:
They have little awareness of how they’re coming off or how others are emotionally reacting to them. Often they have the best of intentions to help whomever they’re speaking to and can’t understand why the other person isn’t happy to hear what they have to say.
Keep your opinions to yourself,
I don’t care how anyone feels about how I have decided to live my life.
Just focus on you and leave I and those I have decided to love out.
Beacuse we are very pretentious about showing real love, when we see real love we call it clout.”

“All I wanted to do was act and be seen, but it struck me that this ‘work of my hands’ was supposed to bring me fortune” – Ireti Doyle

Nigerian actress Ireti Doyle who recently confirmed her divorce from veteran actor and broadcaster, Patrick Doyle, has explained why she decided to focus on money after a few years into acting.

Taking to the microblogging platform, she disclosed all she wanted when she started out was just to act and to be seen. However, it dawned on her that her career was supposed to bring her fortune, and this turned her focus to money.

She continued by saying that this affected her judgment and how she moved.

Ireti went on to say that she realized that “fame & fortune” came with a particular amount of responsibility that should direct the way one moves after her first viral video received a number of interpretations, some of which were completely off the point.

She tweeted;

“In the beginning, all I wanted to do was act; to perform and be seen. It was about 5 yrs in that it struck me, omo, this “work of my hands” was supposed to bring me fortune. Then I began to focus on the money, and that’s where strategy began.
“I became selective and it informed how I moved. I think it was another 5 years in, a bit of fame & fortune had found me. I can’t remember what the public post was about now, but that’s when I experienced “going viral” for the 1st time.
Oh, the different interpretations – many of them totally off the mark. Then it hit me again; whether I realised, liked, signed up for it or not; with “fame & fortune” comes a certain level of responsibility which should guide the way one moves. Wisdom, not cowardice.”

“I disguise to avoid being recognized abroad” – Yoruba movie star, Lepa Shandy

Yoruba movie star, Folashade Omoniyi-Adewale, popularly known as Lepa Shandy, has revealed what she does to hide her identity now that she lives abroad.

The actress who no longer stays in the country or features in movies said people who knew her from the old movies still reacted in excitement whenever they met her.

Lepa Shandy said she had to start disguising her appearance whenever she went out for fear of Nigerians making a scene when they see her abroad because she valued her privacy.

In her words;

“For instance, when I moved abroad, I didn’t want people to recognize me and I don’t also like staying around our people because they don’t mind their business. I sometimes don’t use make-up so they won’t recognize me. I just disguise. There was a day I heard a guy singing Baba Ara’s song in a shop, I had to run away because I thought he’d recognize me. Most of our people are very funny.
When I was going through my divorce, someone was recording me and I had to go to the person to say I saw what he did and I asked him to delete it. Thank God my lawyer was with me and my brother, who is an army officer. I don’t know if it’s a journalist or someone that wanted to just record and post online. It’s not even about posting it online but the reaction that it will generate from people online.
When I got a property, someone asked me why I didn’t post on social media and I said why should I do so? I don’t have to do that if every other person is doing that. A Yoruba adage says that “Ti Isu eni ba ta, a ma n f’owo bo ni”. It means that if God blesses you, you don’t have to blow your own trumpet. Most people that are making noise on social media don’t have anything or some are from homes that they’ve not seen that kind of life before. It’s not everything you must post on social media and that’s why you see a lot of Yahoo boys and ritualists who will do everything to make sure that they achieve that too. Many people live fake lives on social media.”

The 51-year-old veteran of Nollywood also recalled how a movie she starred in gave her the nickname Lepa Shandy, which has remained with her ever since.

She said;

“It happened that I was offered a role in a movie by Gbenga Adewusi, Bayowa Films and the title of the movie was ‘Lepa Shandy’ and the funniest thing was that the name of the character in that movie was Shade, which is also my real name. So, after the movie, some began to call me ‘Lepa Shandy.’
I can recall that even before I took that role, I had a friend who used to call me ‘Lepa gawu.’ He took the name from a popular song that trended then. I was so mad with him each time he called me that. When I then acted that movie and it became a brand, that friend of mine was the first person to comment about it. There is a saying that there is power in the tongue and I will say that I am a testimony to that.”

“Ooni doesn’t like polygamy, he was forced to marry more wives” – Sister, Princess Folashade Ogunwusi-Fadairo

Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi’s elder sister, Princess Folashade Ogunwusi-Fadairo has revealed that the traditional ruler has never been a believer in polygamy.

Oba Adeyeye is married to six women, five of whom he tied the knot in 2022.

Princess Folashade explained during an interview with The Punch that circumstances forced her brother to take more wives.

She stated it was not her place to interfere with the monarch’s choice to accept polygamy against his personal conviction, but she realizes it must have been difficult for him to do so.

In her words;

“My opinion is that what you have to do, you just have to do it. Meanwhile, that’s his personal life, I can’t meddle in it. What I can say is that I don’t know if you were there during his wedding anniversary or so, if you heard the speech he made, it was very touching and it was something that personally he didn’t like but he had no choice, he had to do it. Where the Yoruba are coming from, polygamy is expected. And being the progenitor of the Yoruba race, inu e ni won bi wa si (we were born in it). For instance, my grandfather had eight wives, that’s paternal and my maternal grandfather had about seven or eight wives too. So, it’s something he had to do, although, I think he avoided it.”

“I did not say anything that didn’t happen” – Brymo apologizes to those offended by his tweet as he addresses accusations of insulting the Igbos (video

Nigerian singer, Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ, better known as Brymo, has apologized to those who may have been offended by his opinion on the Igbo presidency and revealed why he did not apologize earlier.

Recall that the singer who supports APC’s presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu declared that he would rather have an ailing president than an Igbo president that could lead the country into anarchy.

This statement did not seat well with the Igbo people and Peter Obi supporters who raised a petition to cancel Brymo and stop him from winning the AFRIMA award.

Brymo who had refused to address the issue finally apologized when someone raised the issue on his Instagram live yesterday, 13 January.

According to him, the whole issue started with him hearing that Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie accepted a chieftaincy title in her hometown when she had refused some national honors.

He said this behavior was strange as it suggested the Igbo people themselves were not interested in national recognition and he merely pointed that out.

Brymo explained his careless choice of words as him insinuating disinterest in the topic and apologized to all offended parties.

“l and my daughter do not have any problems with Davido or his wife” – Sina Rambo’s mother-in-law clarifies post on alleged threat from Davido

Queen Korth, mother of Sina Rambo’s estranged wife, Heidi, has clarified her recent post calling out singer, Davido over an alleged threat made to her daughter.

Davido’s cousin, Sina Rambo’s former in-law, had taken to her Instagram page to share an alleged conversation between the singer and his cousin, discussing Heidi mentioning Chioma, who was mourning her son, Ifeanyi, in the ongoing saga between herself and Sina Rambo.

Recall that Heidi threw shade at Chioma a few weeks ago when a troll described Chioma as the true definition of beauty and claimed that she and some others were jealous of her.

“I see why you people are jealous of Chioma. She is the true definition of beauty”, the troll wrote.

Responding, Heidi lambasted the troll while also appearing to make a subtle jab at Chioma.

“Abeg abeg did you get lost in my comment section? Carry your endurance group elsewhere pls.” She replied.

However, in the screenshots that Heidi’s mother shared the Singer expressed displeasure over Heidi’s response and questioned why she mentioned Chioma’s name.

Heidi’s mother then raised an alarm to the fact that Davido said he would deal with her daughter for involving Chioma in her rants and claimed that her daughter never insulted Chioma. Read here.

Queen Korth’s post triggered backlash from fans of the 30BG boss, who dragged her into filth for involving their favourite in the drama.

Following the backlash, Queen Korth clarified her previous post in a follow-up social media post, claiming that Davido did not directly communicate with her and that she has no issues with him or his wife, Chioma.

“For those of you saying i posted an old chat l’d like to make it clear to all that Davido did not send me that screenshot or ever chatted with me. l and my daughter do not have any problems with Davido or his wife.” She wrote.

She further disclosed that it was Sina Rambo who sent his chat with Davido to her elder brother, who forwarded the screenshots of their conversation to her.

“After several calls to Sina Rambo as to why he would send his chat with his cousin threatening my daughter to my family member . My calls were declined by Sina Rambo.” she added.

“They made me cook with firewood, poured powder on me” – Newlywed bride shares experience with in-laws after wedding (Video)

A newlywed Nigerian bride has taken to social media to share the traditional things her in-laws asked her to do after she got married to her husband.

In a video she shared on TikTok, the lady revealed that, immediately after getting married, her husband’s family, who are apparently lovers of culture and tradition, made her and her husband do things today’s generation would ordinarily consider archaic.

According to her, as per the Isoko tradition, the first meal she made for her husband was to be very special, so she was asked to cook outside the compound using firewood and serve him while kneeling on both knees.

She added that her husband was not spared, as he was also asked to tie a wrapper around himself and shower her with prayers while he ate the food.

Recounting the experience, she wrote,

“In line with the Isoko tradition, my mother gave me some fish to cook my husband’s first meal. Emphasis was placed on cooking with firewood, pouring powder on my body, wearing beads and tying wrapper😂.

Husband man was not spared too. He was instructed to tie rapper why being served by his new bride😂. where you guys need to complete any traditional rights after your wedding?”

In other news, media personality, Emmanuel Ugolee, has urged people to stop judging a woman’s attitude based on her relationship status.

Emmanuel took to his Instagram page to address individuals who believed that married women are the ones with excellent character and unmarried women are the ones with terrible character.

According to him, being single was not a punishment for having a bad attitude and that being married was not a reward for having a good attitude.

He wrote;

“One of the most commonly believed notions right here.How unfortunate then it will be, to on an umbrella note “yimu” at that guy who got divorced at 42 and say he was “too irresponsible to handle marriage” or to the lady divorced at 39 and say for sure “no man can live with her type”.

Meanwhile in reality, the 42 year old had a promiscuous wife and the 39 year old, an abusive husband.
On the contrary, A late homecoming, wife bashing, addicted to gambling and no providing guy is at least still a husband they’ll argue. So he gets the pass on “Responsibility”. Same goes for woman who makes the home h*ll but works out a cohabitation plan with her spouse. She gets to keep the “Responsible” tag too. And would be quick to remind you, “its Mrs K please” when you dare make the tittle omission while addressing her.

The power of marriage to protect in this regard is a mirage. So if you use it for that plastic cover, its only a matter of time, the heat called reality would melt it away. If you are also guilty as charged for labeling people based on the marriage status and not their real character, we change that today. Do not forget that one person cannot make a marriage work. Just what if you have labeled wrongly the one who tried the hardest to make it work?

Shout out to all those who have truly stuck it out in marriage because of the true reflection and impact of their characters and sense of responsibility. But please never again label a single person whose story you do not know.”

Husband catches his pregnant wife pants down with another man in hospital

A man has been left heartbroken after he caught his pregnant wife having intercourse with a 24-year-old man in Apac District, Uganda.

It was gathered that the wife, who was heavily pregnant, was down with malaria and had been on admission for five days when her husband walked in on her and caught her pants down.

Her ‘lover’ reportedly visited the female ward of the Apac Hospital, and they were having an intimate session, but luck ran out on them when the woman’s husband, Mr. Alex Okuta, decided to check on his wife and caught them in the act.

The Apac District police commander, Mr. David Wills Ndaula, who confirmed the incident on Thursday, January 12, 2023, said the man who was caught with Okuta’s wife was charged with constituting a public nuisance.

Ndaula told the Daily Monitor that the police have commenced investigations into the matter.

“We have preferred charges of causing public nuisance against the suspect, but we are still investigating and will update you at an appropriate time,” he said.

However, Mr. Joseph Onuk, Apac Hospital’s administrator, who claimed that the situation could have been avoided, blamed the husband for leaving his pregnant wife at the hospital for days without checking on her.

“I put the blame on the husband of this woman. How can you send your wife to the hospital and you take long without checking on her? Some men always say that they are so busy. Somebody who is not busy will take away your wife.” he said.

The woman’s husband, a resident of Abwal Village in Chegere Sub-county in Apac District, confirmed that his sick wife cheated on him.

“I made a surprise visit to the hospital to check on my wife then I found that man in bed with my pregnant wife,” he narrated.

Comedian Basketmouth reacts after he was called out for fixing his UK tour on election day, February 25

Basketmouth reacts

Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has been dragged to filth on social media for fixing his UK tour on election day, February 25.

Basketmouth posted the schedule of his upcoming UK tour on his social media page recently, and the date for his appearance in Hamburg clashes with the presidential election.

This didn’t sit well with a lot of people who didn’t hesitate to lambaste him for fixing his show on a day that would decide the future of Nigeria.

A Twitter user also dug out his old tweet where he criticized his colleagues who were outside the country during the 2015 presidential election, and called out his hypocrisy.

See some of the reactions below,

Basketmouth, who was unfazed by the backlash, explained that he has been hosting his UK tour in February for years, and it’s only logical for him to host 2023’s tour in February as well.

He added that the electoral body, INEC, should have consulted him first before fixing the election in February because he picked the month first.

In his response that seemed like satire, Basketmouth wrote,

“I’ve been hosting my UK tour every February for the past 12yrs. Interestingly, there have been times when the elections coincided with my shows.

Unfortunately, INEC has never deemed it fit to check with me before fixing the date for the elections. Since I picked February to host my tour first, I think it’s only fair for me to go ahead with the dates. Thank you. Please don’t forget to buy tickets “

Celebrity stylist Yomi Casual’s wife, Grace reacts to claim of him being ‘gay’

Grace Makun, the wife of celebrity stylist Yomi Makun, better known as Yomi Casual, has reacted to claims that he is gay.

Taking to her Instagram page, Grace told those making such disrespectful assumptions about her husband to stop.

She stated that while the Western fashion world is engulfed with such traits, it is not enough to tag her husband with what he is not.

She further averred that it’s also not a crime for a man to look good, represent his brand, and pay quality attention to himself.

In a quite lengthy Instagram post, she wrote,

“I want to address those of you tagging and sending me DMs concerning a very disrespectful assumption and the indirect rumours, orchestrated against my husband’s personality and my Household to PLEASE STOP.

Even if most of you enjoy seeing others go down, i think it is too early in the year to subscribe to all these ‘super stories’ designed to work on your minds, and create unnecessary trends and engagement. With the permission of my husband, I am daring the so-called blogger and anyone of you who insinuate to know too much to bring out proofs that confirm Yomi “gay” as speculated without fact by your devilish camps within 24 hours.

We all know that the Western fashion world is engulfed with such traits and it’s stigmatizing but it is not enough to tag him what he is not even planning to become or be in another world. It is also not a crime for a guy to look good , represent his brand and pay quality attention to himself. It shouldn’t be translated to being gay simply because the majority of men out there pay less attention to their looks and suddenly his appearance and amiable characteristics represents name callings ? STOP WITH THE DEFAMATION ALREADY .

Having said that, our family is intact without any form of chaos or a single reason for my husband and i to drag ourselves anywhere over a NON EXISTING issue. STOP tagging me & go ask your favourite blogger to save you all the stress and suspense by unleashing his or her show of shame within 24 hours or die for making you all waste your hard earn money on data for no reason . More so, to those of you who love gossip, you can continue to spread your drama and lies as fans of negativity until being a victim of it would lead you into knowing how much it hurts and destroy people’s peace and joy .

Beyond all the lies, we shall continue to be guided on the path of truth, love, and respect for each other. Any blogger or individual who would not stop spreading fabricated and hurtful news about this man i have known in the last 5 years of marriage and for 13 years of friendship. I pray for calamity to come upon them all one by one in JESUS NAME. AMEN”.
