Nigerian talent manager, Ubi Franklin has paid a special tribute to singer Davido’s late son, Ifeanyi.

Ubi, who shared a close bond with the three-year-old prior to his tragic demise, had his nickname tattooed on his arm in his honour.

The music executive shared a photo of his new tattoo on his Instagram Stories moments ago.

Showing off the tattoo, Ubi wrote in his caption the date of Ifeanyi’s passing along with a dove emoji.

Recall that Ifeanyi died by drowning at his dad’s Banana Island home on October 31st 2022. He was rushed to Evercare Hospital in Lekki where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The couple had traveled for a family gathering to Ibadan yesterday and had left Ifeanyi with his minders who can’t explain how he entered the pool without being noticed and drowned.

Meanwhile, Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his partner, Chioma, have taken their love to a whole new level as they tattoo each other’s names on their fingers.

The couple who are reported to have secretly tied the knot went beyond using just wedding bands as a symbol of their love and got tattoos of each other’s names on their ring fingers.

Chioma’s name was inked on Davido’s finger, while Chioma also had her lover’s name, Davido, boldly written on her finger.

Popular Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye has addressed the age gap between him and his wife, Lola Omotayo Okoye.

Speaking in a recent interview, Peter Okoye, who showered praise on his wife, noted that not many people know she’s much older than him—Lola turned 50 in September 2022, while Peter and his twin brother clocked 41.

According to him, before they got married, people told his wife that he was going to dump her for someone younger, but he made his decision and married her because she was truly the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

Singer Sina Rambo’s mother-in-law, Queen Ojanga Korth has called out misician, Davido Adeleke over an alleged threat made to her daughter, Heidi.

She took to her Instagram page to share an alleged conversation between the singer and his cousin discussing Heidi mentioning Chioma who was mourning her son, Ifeanyi in the ongoing saga between herself and Sina Rambo.

Recall that Heidi threw shade at Chioma a few weeks back when a troll described Chioma as the true definition of beauty and claimed that she and some others were jealous of her. See here.

Heidi’s mother raised an alarm to the fact that Davido said he would deal with her daughter for involving Chioma in her rants and claimed that her daughter never insulted Chioma.

The thespian made this disclosure in an exclusive interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, where she opened up on some mysteries surrounding her life.

Ireti, who shares six children with her ex-husband, clearly stated that they are officially divorced. According to her, she shouldn’t have gotten married at the time she did, and to the man she married.

Mercy, who had veteran actress Joke Silva on the show, had asked about her husband, Olu Jacobs’, health, and that led to the conversation about Mercy’s own health struggles.

She narrated how she was put on medication for life and had her thyroid removed.

“… Odi [her husband] and I have actually been here and I have never discussed it where we had, like uhm, a scare. I had a cancer scare in quote and I had like my thyroid removed. And it was like a journey for us because we had kids.

My last was six months at that time and then we kept on saying “okay, we have to understand that this is the new us, let’s go get the surgery done”. And then we got there, they said I was going to be on medication for the rest of my life and it was a reality that we had to sit down.

You know, them giving me a timing and telling me you can’t miss your medication. Once you wake up that day, that’s the first thing. Telling me all of the side effects. So I’m reconciling with this you’re saying, it’s the truth. At the point you realize this is where we are, let’s grow from here, let’s live in this comfort zone.” She said.

Dora Akunyili’s daughter, Ijeoma becomes first black Chief Medical Officer of US hospital

Ijeoma Akunyili, the daughter of former director-general of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and ex-minister of information, Dora Akunyili, has been appointed as the new Chief Medical Officer of the Jersey City Medical Center in the United States.

The announcement was made in a statement released by the medical center on Wednesday, January 11, where it was disclosed that Dr Akunyili is its first Black Chief Medical Officer.

“RWJBarnabas Health is proud to add Dr. Akunyili to its executive clinical leadership team. Her experience managing multi-specialty physician groups in integrated health care systems will help support Jersey City Medical Center in providing comprehensive health care throughout the community,” said Andy Anderson, MD, Executive Vice President and Chief Medical and Quality Officer for RWJBarnabas Health. She will be a tremendous asset to our team.”

“Dr. Akunyili has a wealth of experience and knowledge, and as our Chief Medical Officer, we look forward to creating a world-class experience for every patient at Jersey City Medical Center. I am confident that Hudson County will benefit in a great way from her leadership, and that her presence will have tremendous impact,” said Michael Prilutsky, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Center.

Billionaire daughter, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has responded to a Twitter user who called her “stingy.”

The Twitter user, identified as Babatunde Temitope, had taken to the popular microblogging platform to throw jabs at the singer.

Babatunde called Cuppy a stingy person, and the “Gelato” crooner, who wouldn’t let the comment slide, gave him a befitting response.

“How far stingy cuppy”, he wrote.

Responding, Cuppy called the Twitter user an entitled person.

A Twitter user has narrated how a lady’s old tweet got in her way of landing a juicy job opportunity at her organization.

The Twitter user, @Accoid, a consultant and agency manager who shared the story online, said a female friend had reached out to her to help find her sister a job in her company, which she obliged.

However, she decided to run a search on the applicant, and, to her shock, she found old, malicious posts the applicant had made about her.

She claimed the lady, via her Twitter handle, had previously shared false stories about her being a hooker who supposedly sleeps around with people’s husbands.

“A friend sent me CV of her sibling 4 placement. I said tell applicant to DM me, here’s my twitter handle. Applicant said I’m on private/probably blocked. I went in search myself from applicants handle, I read the story of my olosho job and how I’ve been sleeping with ppls husband.” She narrated.

In other news, a young Caucasian man has gotten people talking on the internet after he revealed a bizarre fact about himself on the microblogging platform, Twitter.

The man with handle @samaoxcx, disclosed that he always microwaves his underwear before wearing it in reaction to a viral tweet asking people to share an unsettling fact about themselves.

According to him, the major reason why he microwaves his underpants is because he loves the warm and ‘toasty’ feeling he gets after wearing it.

He went on to share a photo and a video demonstrating how he microwaves his underwear to prove that he was not bluffing.

Iniko, who now identifies as ‘they/them’, wrote,

Erica shared this while responding to a follower who asked her about marriage after she revealed her age following the controversy that trailed her co-star, Chichi’s claim of being 23 years old.

Taking to the microblogging platform, Twitter, the former BBNaija star said she won’t be rushing into marriage because she has the rest of her life to be married.

Speaking further, she said marriage is more favourable to men than women because they don’t have to change much about their lives unlike women.

Popular Nollywood actress, Chika Ike has gotten people talking online after she posted photos with her ‘god father’ in a private jet.

The thespian visited Kumasi, Ghana, recently to attend the launch of a philanthropic project by the African Union Aviation called “My Home Town”.

While there, she took to her Instagram page to share a photo of her posing with two older men in a private jet, and penned a sweet tribute to one of them whom she called her ‘god father’.

She appreciated him for being a great support system to her, and said he and his family keeps her grounded.

Taking to Twitter, the billionaire son shared his thoughts on what it takes to have a female partner, and his opinion elicited a flurry of comments.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has finally reacted to the leaked private video scandal involving actress Empress Njamah, one of its members.

Recall that Empress’ estranged fiancé, Wade, whom she had claimed was blackmailing her with her nudes, reportedly created a WhatsApp group where he allegedly leaked her private videos. Read here.

Reacting to the saga, the association called for the arrest of Empress’ ex-lover, Josh Wade.

In a statement signed and released by its Director of Communications, Kate Henshaw, the guild said that it was standing with Empress Njamah.

“This act of blackmail calculated to smear the image and publicly ridicule her by a man who claimed to be her lover is not only criminal but also evil and unacceptable. It is worthy to note that exposing nude videos and photographs of a person that injure her right to privacy is a serious offence.

“We have been in forefront of campaign of violence against women and we view the action of this so-called evil lover man as an act targeted at eroding her dignity and self-respect.

“We call on the law enforcement agents to apprehend the culprit and ensure he faces the full wrath of the law for violating the right and dignity of Empress Njamah. We urge her fans to give her their full support at this time. She will come through this stronger and better”. The statement read in part.
