A Tanzanian fisherman who rescued no fewer than 20 plane crash victims has been rewarded with a federal job by the President of Tanzania, Samia Suluhi, for his heroism.

Recall that on Sunday, November 6th, a Precision Airplane crash landed into Lake Victoria as it was approaching Bukoba airport from the Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam where it was supposed to land, killing 17 passengers and two pilots.

The fisherman, identified as Jackson Majaliwa, was one of the first responders who arrived at the scene and broke into the airplane to save the passengers.

Jackson, who spoke with a local news outlet, said he narrowly escaped being killed while trying to save the pilots, captian and first officer who were stuck in the cockpit.

Following his demonstration of bravery, Tanzanian President has in a statement released by Tanzania’s Prime Minister, Kassim Majaliwa, on Monday, November 7, recognized his bravery and ordered the Ministry of Home Affairs to employ Jackson into the Tanzania Fire and Rescue Force.

”I order the Interior ministry to recruit Majaliwa into the country’s Firefighting and Rescue Brigade, so that he can receive the required training for him to become fit for the job.

The fisherman should be trained in rescue mission,” the statement reads in part.

He was also reportedly rewarded with 1 million Tanzanian shillings for the role he played in the rescue mission that saved a total of 24 persons, including 22 passengers and 2 cabin crew members.

Nigerian trap rapper, Dablixx Oshaa dies of stomach complications few months after singing about his death

In a very unfortunate report reaching us today, November 8, fast rising Nigerian trap rapper, Dablixx Oshaa, has died of stomach-related complications.

Dablixx had complained of stomach pain on Monday evening, November 7, and was rushed to a hospital where he sadly gave up the ghost.

His death is coming few months after he revealed that his mother had a dream about his death in his recently released single “Pray we live long.”

A source who spoke on his sudden demise said,

“It’s as if Dablixx knew he was going to die as he had revealed in his song, ‘Pray we live long’ that his mother had a dream that he was going to die.

He had on Monday evening complained of stomach pain. He was rushed to a a hospital where he passed away.“

The budding rapper’s death has thrown the Nigerian music scene into mourning as his colleagues and fans have trooped to social media to pay tribute to him.

A viral video has captured a mother confronting a man who came to her house to see her teenage daughter.

The man had paid a visit to the girl’s home; unknown to him, the mother was around, and she was the one who opened the door when he rang.

On seeing that the grown man was the one who had been wooing her teenage daughter, she lashed out at him and accused him of trying to exploit her 18-year-old.

She said that she had seen the texts he had been sending to her daughter and queried why he wanted an amorous relationship with her teenage girl despite their age difference.

The enraged mother, while hurling insults at the man, also threatened to take the case to the police, claiming to have all of his photos and proof enough to bring charges against him.

The man, however, denied her accusations, insisting that she was mistaken about who she was accusing.

Embarrassed, the man hastily turned around to leave the area, but as he walked to his car, the mother followed him and continued to humiliate him.

A cab driver was left devastated and heartbroken after discovering that his girlfriend of three years has gotten married to another woman.

A Twitter user identified as @cassy_collins_ who shared the story online said she was on a trip with the cabbie when he suddenly broke into tears.

Out of concern, she asked why he was crying and he disclosed that his girlfriend who he dropped off at a car park on a Tuesday got married to another man on Saturday.

A young Nigerian man has narrated how he went broke and ran into debt after throwing an extravagant wedding.

The married man, who claimed to be earning millions monthly before the wedding, said things weren’t going as smoothly in the months leading up to the wedding, and since the wedding date had been fixed, he used his business money to fund the ceremony to save face.

He said instead of paying off over N5 million he was owing some people at the time, he was bent on holding a grandiose wedding, believing that all losses would be made up after the wedding.

Sadly, things didn’t work out the way he had hoped and only became worse after the wedding. He was in debt and went broke.

Speaking in an interview with media personality, Lucky Udu, the man who stated that he eventually regretted his decision described it as the “biggest mistake of his life”.

Man attacks cleaner who interrupted his intimate moment in a nightclub toilet (video)

A man was captured on camera attacking a cleaner when he was caught in an intimate session with a woman inside a disabled toilet.

Ex-army aircraft mechanic Billy Dean Fallon, 28, was getting down with a woman when the cleaner knocked on the toilet door and so he rushed out of the cubicle to beat up the cleaner.

Fallon admitted assault occasioning bodily harm at Southport Magistrates Court in Queensland, Australia today, Monday, November 7, and was ordered to pay the victim $1,500.

The horrific incident occurred at Nightjar nightclub in Burleigh Heads in January this year.

CCTV played at the court shows the 28-year-old clubgoer rushing out of the disabled toilet cubicle without a shirt and throwing a flurry of punches at the cleaner, who had been knocking on the door for about three minutes.

A woman walked out from the cubicle holding two drinks while watching Fallon beating the cleaner at the other side of the toilet.

Fallon was pulled away by a security guard, who came in with other witnesses, before he reported the incident to the police.

Defending, lawyer Angus Edwards said Fallon was in the cubicle becoming intimate with his partner, adding: “They were in the midst of becoming intimate when someone started banging on the door.

“He acted impulsively, he acted protectively and he thought he was protecting himself and his partner.”

Magistrate Michelle Dooley said the attack on the cleaner was uncalled for as he was simply doing his job.

“This individual was engaged in his normal employment, was clearly unaffected by alcohol and just going about his normal duties as part of his job,” she continued.

Fallon was sentenced to 12 months in jail but was given immediate parole. He was ordered to pay the cleaner $1500 in compensation.

Kano TikTok skit makers will receive 40 lashes in public, sweep court premises and wash toilets for defaming Governor Ganduje

The Kano State Magistrate Court presided over by Aminu Muhammad Gabari on Monday, November 7, 2022, ordered 40 lashes in public be administered on two skit makers, Mubarak Isa Muhammad (Uniquepikin) and Nazifi Muhammad Bala for defaming the character of the state’s Governor on their Tiktok accounts.

The court as well, ordered the duo to sweep and wash the toilets of Nomansland Magistrates Court premises for 30 days.

“They will receive 20 lashes each, to be administered in the public. They should also sweep and wash the toilets of Justice Aloma Mukthar Court Complex in No-man’s-land,” the judge ruled.

The convicts had pleaded guilty to a two-count charge of defamation and inciting public disturbance slammed against them.

The First Information Report indicated that both TikTokers posted on their Tiktok account that Ganduje does not see a land without selling it and he sleep a lot.

Based on that, the prosecutor, Barrister Wada Ahmad Wada and Principal State Counsel, Kano State Ministry of Justice applied for a summary trial against the duo.

When the case resumed on Monday November 7, for judgement, Magistrate Gabari ordered the convicts to pay a fine of N10,000 each for defaming the character of Kano State Governor.

Magistrate Gabari also ordered them to pay another fine of N10,000 each for inciting public disturbance. He then similarly administered non-custodial terms against the convicts.

Consequently, he ordered the convicts to make a video on social media tendering an apology to Ganduje. The skit makers were taken to court after they were captured in a viral TikTok video calling out Ganduje.

In the video, they referred to Ganduje as a “corrupt politician” who sold every available plot of land in the state.

“This is a chapter that is talking about Ganduje. And who is this Ganduje? He is a husband to an influential woman and a father to an Arabian. And he is also from Kano state. The qualities of this Ganduje are as follows: He is a governor that loves to sleep,” they said.

“But he has become a suspect in the eyes of the people of Kano. To say a few of his qualities and talents, whenever he sees a piece of land in Kano he is definitely going to take his share. To explain this further, it is either he makes it available for sale or sells it off completely, but in the end, something questionable must occur.”

The woman who recounted the experience on Twitter said she was wheeled into the hospital this time last year, thinking she had a severe liver problem, only to discover she was 32 weeks pregnant.

According to her, all along she showed no pregnancy symptoms and had no idea she was pregnant until she was told at the hospital that she was 32 weeks & 2 days pregnant.

She noted that she had no reason to suspect and when she was 5 months pregnant, she stumbled on a Twitter thread where women shared how they didn’t know they were pregnant until it had fully developed, and she thought it could never be her, not knowing she was pregnant already.

Recounting the experience, she wrote on Twitter,

“It was around this time, on this same day last year that I was wheeled into the hospital with my family thinking I had a severe liver problem, only to be told I was 32weeks & 2 days pregnant.

A Nigerian woman identified as Debbie has shared the sad tale of how her friend’s brother married a swindler.

She claimed that after getting married earlier this year, the couple made plans to travel abroad.

To pay for their relocation, the man sold most of his properties but kept the money in her account. They agreed that the woman would fly to the United Kingdom first, followed by the husband.

Unfortunately, when she arrived in the UK, the woman, who obviously had other intentions, filed for divorce from her husband.

A young woman used her dance talents to take possession of someone else’s husband and cause drama at a wedding.

A video making the rounds on social media showed a young lady dancing seductively with the man who was apparently married.

The wife, who recognized her husband from afar, ran as fast as she could to save her husband from losing focus.

Popular American Comedian, TV Host and Author, Steve Harvey has taken to his social media page to share some inspiring words about his career and rise to stardom.

Steve Harvey opened up and said he did not start comedy until he’d gotten to the age of 27 and he was also homeless for three years from when he was 30 years old.

He used himself as a point of reference to urge his fans to never give up on their dreams.

His post on Twitter reads ;

I didn’t get into comedy until I was 27. I was homeless from 30 to 33. I lived in a car for three years. Don’t give up on your dreams 💯
People see me today, they don’t know where I come from. I tell young cats all the time, the key is you can’t ever give up…

Fashion stylist, JekwuTheStylist has accused his ex-wife, Nikki Anyansi of exposing and educating their son to her LGTBQ lifestyle.

In 2018, Jekwu and Nikki welcomed their son. They allegedly separated due to Nicki’s sexual orientation.

Jekwu has now taken to his social media page to claim that Nicki’s lover lives in the same house as their son, and that their son shares a bed with his mother and her partner.

He warned his ex and her partner to keep his son out of their romantic relationships.

He wrote;

“Be gay on your own I honestly don’t care, infact if you prefer dogs or even horses
it doesn’t matter to me but when you try to inductrinate my 5yr old son in any manner or form
then we have a big problem I don’t care if you birthed him.

Took me a while to get here but I guess sometimes people or situations push far enough just to see how much you can take sometimes you have to do what you have to do even if it means going out of character.

Fake mentally challenged man caught with sack filled with dead babies

ON Sunday the 6th of Novemeber, 2022, a mob descended on a man adjudged to have feigned a mental illness after he was caught with a bag filled with dead babies.

The yet-to-be identified man was caught along Cele Expressway, Lagos.

According to reports, the suspect who was shabbily dressed giving the aura of a mentally challenged person, was seen carrying a sack which had a subtance thaat looked like blood dripping from it.

IT was gathered that the man’s movement arose suspicion from passers-by who demanded to know the content of the sack. The suspect in a bid to evade interrogation, quickly jumped into a lake nearby but was caught by the eyewitnesses who were already getting angry.

“We noticed his sack was dripping blood and we enjoined some people to help us query the man further. He quickly ran into a lake but he was caught. We opened the sack and saw fresh dead babies. When we interrogated him on what he was doing with the gory items, he refused to answer but noted that he killed the mother of the babies.

Sonia Ekweremadu, the daughter of former deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, appeared in a UK court today, November 7, to answer claims that she trafficked a homeless man into the country to harvest his organs for herself.

Recall that the lawmaker and his wife, Beatrice, were arrested in June this year and have been standing trial alongside their doctor, Obinna Obeta, for allegedly bringing in a 21-year-old man into the UK for a procedure where his kidney was to be harvested and transplanted to their daughter, who has kidney disease and has been on dialysis for some time.

In court today, the prosecutors told the court that the Ekweremadus and their doctor were arrested after the young man, who previously lived on the streets of Lagos, turned up at Staines police station, claiming he was a victim of trafficking.

Prosecutors claim David told police officers he had arrived in the UK on February 20 of this year and had been taken to the Royal Free Hospital for tests, none of which he consented to. After these tests, he said he had returned to the house he had been staying in, where he was “treated effectively as a slave.” Prosecutors claim he escaped the address and was homeless for three days before going to the police.

Ike Ekweremadu and his doctor are currently on remand in HMP Wandsworth and HMP Belmarsh, respectively. Ekweremadu’s wife, Beatrice, who was granted bail at a hearing in July, appeared in court today alongside their daughter, Sonia.

The Ekweremadus and Obeta will next appear at the Old Bailey on December 16 of this year, and a trial date has been set for January 31, 2023.

Baby born weighing less than a loaf of bread finally goes home after spending five months in hospital

A baby who was born weighing less than a loaf of bread at just 535g has finally returned home after battling for her life in the hospital for five months.

The child was born on the 4th of March 2022 after her mother, Lauren Ormston, 27, went into premature labour at just 23 weeks at St Peter’s Hospital, Surrey, UK.

Due to the frailty of her condition, doctors informed Lauren and her fiance, Oliver Dewey, 31, that baby Isla had a 10% chance of survival as she was very small.

After she was born, she was rushed to the neonatal unit where she was later diagnosed with level two bleed on the brain and a hole in the heart.

The new mom, speaking on her experience said,

‘I started getting terrible stomach pains and I just thought the baby was moving around, but when the pain intensified, I knew something was wrong.’

‘They suggested getting transferred to a bigger hospital which would increase the chance to 30%.

‘It was terrifying.

‘But I had to take the chance, and I’m so glad I did.

‘The birth was easy, and I only had gas and air.

‘I could only cuddle Isla for six minutes before she was taken to a ventilator.

‘She looked so small and fragile, like she would snap at the slightest bit of movement.

‘I was so worried, but I knew my baby girl was a fighter.

‘Her skin was transparent, I could see every little vein within her body.

‘I lived each day, never knowing if she would make it, day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute.

‘After six weeks, she came off the ventilator but needed an oxygen mask over her face.

‘We had our first cuddle, and her little hand was barely the size of the tip of my husband’s pinky finger.’

Baby Isla spent five months in the hospital and was finally discharged on July 12th 2022 at 10lb 8oz.

However, she lost one of her eyes during an unsuccessful surgery but Lauren, the new mom, said losing an eye isn’t the worse thing that could have happened to Isla and she’s excited that her daughter survived despite the slim chances.

Popular Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye, has carpeted a troll who attacked him on micro-blogging platform, Twitter.

The singer had taken to his verified Twitter handle last night to react to the absence of some presidential candidates from the Presidential Town Hall meeting organized by Arise TV on Sunday, November 6.

“The mumu with white bear bear is somewhere outside the country while the town hall series is taking place in Nigeria and also his candidate is not present, still has the Gods to be attacking PO oga where is your principal?” Paul tweeted.

Reacting to the singer’s tweet, a Twitter user took to the comment section to attack him and pointed out a spelling error in his post.

“Olodo pquare its spelt guts not Gods ..otondo ..na person like u wan convince me to vote a failed governor like peter obi.” the troll wrote.

Paul Okoye, who apparently wasn’t having it, fired back at the troll by asking him to compare their lives. He also urged the troll to vote wisely in the forthcoming elections.
