A while back, Omoni Oboli posted a video showing the moment she was taken aback by the fluent American accent of Uche Jombo’s son, Matthew.

The movie stars are currently on vacation in Dubai with their friends and colleagues, Ufuoma Dermott and Chioma Akpotha.

At breakfast this morning, Uche was peeling a hard-boiled egg for her seven-year-old son when he suggested a different way of peeling eggs. However, Uche misinterpreted what he said, forcing him to repeat his statement.

Omoni, who witnessed the whole conversation, asked the adorable young champ if he was trying to teach his mother what to do.

In response, Matthew said NO, and began explaining what he was trying to say, but because he was speaking too fast in a foreign accent, Omoni, a mother of three boys, was taken by surprise and told him not to bother explaining because she doesn’t understand a single word he said.

She shared the video and wrote,

“Help! @uchejombo Mathew dey carry me go where I nor know o 🙆🏽‍♀️🙆🏽‍♀️🙆🏽‍♀️

Letting your parents decide who you marry is the biggest mistake you can make in life — BBNaija’s Eriata

Big Brother Naija star and Actress, Eriata Ese recently shared her thoughts on the issue of some parents choosing a spouse for their children.

According to the reality star, anyone who allows his/her parents decide who they are going to marry might end up making the biggest mistake of their life.

Her post reads ;

The biggest mistake you can ever make in your life is letting your parents decide who you should end up with.

How parents always think they know it all because they feel they have been there makes me wonder if they realize they are using their clock to set our time.

All they want is the best for you and what will favor the family.

But they neglect the part where they have to be sure if what they want for you is what you want for yourself.

I hear things like “I’m not into my marriage” and when you ask “why?” You hear things like “My parents wanted it”.

Do you know the regret that comes with ending up with someone you don’t want to be with?

Then they console you with “Don’t worry love will come along the line”

“We had to fly to Lagos to pick the Pilot taking us to London from Abuja.” – Nigerian lady shares bitter flight experience

A Nigerian woman identified as Marlene Onyeocha shared her terrible experience flying from Abuja to London.

According to her, the flight was delayed because they had to fly down to Lagos to pick up their pilot who couldn’t stay in Abuja because of the security risks, before embarking on their journey to London.

She urged Nigerians to vote right in 2023 to ensure a government that will stand for the people is put into power and prevent mishaps like these.

In her words;

“I first have to thank the Almighty for journey mercy then tell my experience with my so called favorite airline British Airways. It was surposed to be a six and half hour flight from Abuja to London but it took almost 11hrs.
Left Abuja on time 8.05 but because according to the airline, due to security alert in Abuja, the pilot refused to sleep in Abuja… Don’t ask me who flew the plane to Lagos. With all passengers on board, we had to fly to lagos to pick up the pilot not a laughing matter.
Touching down in Lagos, a passenger fell ill and we had to wait for he/she be escorted off the plain without no announcements made until a few of us exploded before apology came.
Why l’m l telling you this? Come 2023, we need a government that will stand for her people internationally. I used to boasts l only fly British Airways, been flying from when it was British Caledonian Airways but after the yesterday’s experience, will do a rethink.
The crew couldn’t even read the manuals properly as if under trained or staff still leaning were brought in by emergency. What was going through my mind at the moment, l can’t share here but I intend to file a report and hope to get some answers.
I’m happy to be back home.”

Drama as women confront an evangelist for calling their friend a ‘prostitute’ while preaching (Video)

A group of women at a popular market made a scene recently after an evangelist who was there to preach made an unflattering remark about their colleague in his sermon.

It appeared the clergyman who was in the market to preach to the people there had called one of the women a prostitute in his sermon, and the other women didn’t hesitate to tackle him.

A video from the scene currently making the rounds showed the women confronting the preacher as they queried why he made such a comment about another man’s wife.

The evangelist insisted that he address them according to how they were dressed, despite the women’s protests that the preacher had no right to refer to another man’s wife as a prostitute.

Man who arranged his kidnap reports his accomplices to police for cheating him

Men of the Adamawa state police command have arrested one, Israel Emmanuel, for planning his own kidnap and getting his father to pay ransom to the tune of N1 million (one million Naira).

According to the police command, Emmanuel was arrested after he visited the station to report his accomplices for cheating him.

He confessed to the self-kidnapping and said his accomplices lied to him that his father had paid a N500,000 ransom, whereas they received N1 million.

The Daily Post reports that Emmanuel collected his share of the declared N500,000, returned home, and told his family that he was released unharmed.

However, the story changed when he learnt that N1 million was paid for his ‘freedom’ as he could not contain the ‘betrayal’ from his accomplices.

Israel went to the Marraba Mubi Police Division to lodge a complaint and officers swiftly swung into action, investigated the matter, and arrested the perpetrators, including him.

Two of the three accomplices, Fartaci Kucol and Zakka Nuh, both from Mubi North LGA in northern Adamawa, who were also picked up, have similarly confessed to the crime.

They revealed that Emmanuel was kept in a village in Muvur within the Mubi North Local Government Area for six days and later Mubi metropolis where he spent another two days before the ransom was paid.

The third accomplice, Abdullhamid Mohammed, is still on the run.

We will sit down and talk about it because to be very honest with you, every man in this world cheats even; Pastors, Reverend Fathers too.

My girlfriend used to say, Ruth, your kind of mind is what is needed to go through this life. There is no man that is faithful. You’d see a man who cheated a day to his wedding day. He was going to wed the following day and they caught him pants down with his girlfriend. I feel it’s their nature and I will not leave a man because he cheats but I will leave a man when I see that you are temperamental, violent or toxic for my energy but if it’s cheating, I will not leave the man.” She said.

“My patient’s son ignored his N90k request for medical attention after he did everything to send him abroad” – Medical Doctor shares sad story

A medical doctor shared a sad tale of how her patient who needed 90k for imaging was abandoned in the hospital by his son.

The old man who lost the ability to walk and needed urgent imaging, reached out to his son abroad for funds but was ignored instead.

The hospital had to let him go after two weeks with no response from his son.

Read the tweet below:

“So I once had a patient some months back that required urgent Imaging for his sudden inability to walk. The cost of this was 90,000. For him to be able to walk again, he needs this imaging.
He messaged his son based abroad, who neither acknowledged the text nor called.

1 week into admission, no response. 2 weeks same. For a man that was walking a day prior to this, he needed urgent intervention. 2 weeks into admission, no response from the child. Not even a text. We had to discharge him cause we couldn’t do anything much for him.

On the day of discharge, he broke down in tears and said “HE WENT THROUGH HELL TRAINING HIS CHILD, sent this child for masters abroad. Paid through his nose. Did same to enable him leave this country after masters.

What wrong did he do as a father? Guys, this man was crying like a baby. I couldn’t even stand the agony. The hurt. He said “I’m not crying because he couldn’t send funds, but he refused to at least call to checkup on him” How did he become an ENEMY TO HIS OWN CHILD?

We tried to pacify him, he insisted the child is doing well abroad evidenced by his/her lifestyle and he recently relocated his whole family to the US.
I don’t know what to say, but please TAKE CARE OF YOUR PARENTS. Many of them sacrificed everything for us to be better.

PS: The information I’ve is only from the father. If there’s more to it, I’ve no idea. But no one should let his relative (parent) remain in such condition if he/she can help salvage it. My only concern is the man’s health. Thank you”

It may seem as though controversial actress, Nkechi Blessing, is not done dragging Nina, after the reality TV star set the ball rolling.

The drama started on Friday evening after Nina took to social media to slam Nkechi Blessing, tagging her a clout chaser over an Instagram post which she believed was a dig at her by the actress.

After news of Nina’s second marriage to an African American man identified as Chris Miller made the rounds, Nkechi, via her Insta-stories, shared her opinion on what it takes to make a marriage work.

According to Nkechi, keeping a marriage private and not flaunting it on social media does not guarantee it success.

“She kept her marriage off social media. Still no work. My darlings, do you. The world will adjust.” She wrote.

Nina, who believed Nkechi’s post was about her, called her out on social media and dubbed her a clout chaser. Nkechi then fired back, maintaining that the post wasn’t about Nina. Read here.

While one would have thought that was the end of the brouhaha, Nkechi continued to drag Nina in a series of posts on her Insta-stories.

Nkechi went as far as digging out an old post of Nina’s from two years ago, where the mother of one referenced her failed marriage to her former lover, Mike Adeyemi.

Nina had, in February 2020, used Nkechi and Adeyemi’s failed relationship as a reference while giving relationship advice to her fans and followers.

Pay the ransom or we go eliminate them — Purported voice note between a kidnapper and family member of a kidnapped victim leaks online

voice note between

A voice note purported to be a conversation between a member of a kidnap gang and a family member of a kidnapped victim has been shared online.

It was gathered that the victims went for a burial ceremony in Isuikwuato local government area of Abia State when they were abducted by the kidnappers.

In the viral voice note, the victim who spoke to his relative first, pleaded with him to find the ransom money at all cost to secure his release.

The victim then handed the phone over to the kidnapper to negotiate with his relative. The family member tried to appeal to the emotions of the kidnapper by saying everyone would die one day, including him (the kidnapper).

However, the kidnapper was not moved by his words and tackled him for telling him that he would also die, like he doesn’t know he has limited time on earth before choosing to become a kidnapper.

The family member proceeded to ask the kidnapper what he wanted and he responded saying, they should pay the ransom otherwise they would kill all the victims.

The kidnapper returned the phone to the victim to speak with his relative and the victim who sounded terrified, was heard saying “Please we are dying here. Biko. Please.’ Please save my life”, amid tears.

When the relative asked for the amount the kidnappers are demanding for, the victim said they asked for N30 million for one Edozie, N10 million for one Bamanganu and N20 million for one Sylva.

The family member was taken aback by the huge sums of money and questioned how he is expected to raise the money.

A follower had asked how she copes with being in the public eye and having people scrutinize her every move because of her celebrity status.

“How are you doing Lucy? like how is life having people in your business all the time?” the follower asked.

In response, the 32-year-old former Big Brother Naija housemate said it has been crazy and it’s more frustrating because finding a man with genuine intentions is difficult.

“This is not danfo , shut up!” – Passenger tackles Nigerian man preaching on an international flight

There was a mild drama aboard an international flight recently when a Nigerian man got up to preach on the plane.

According to a Twitter user, Yomi Kazeem, who claimed to have witnessed the scene as he was also on the plane, he was shocked by the event because he thought such things only happen on commercial buses in Lagos.

Kazeem said as the man was preaching another Nigerian on the plane interrupted him and ordered him to his seat.

The individual allegedly shouted at the man to be quiet and reminded him that the plane was not a danfo, a colloquial name for commercial buses.

Kazeem said, apparently embarrassed, the preacher silently walked back to his seat.

“For the first time in my life, I saw someone preach about Christianity on a plane. [I’ve only ever seen this in public buses in Lagos. It went well for the preacher. Until another Nigerian yelled at him: “Sit down and shut up! This is not a danfo. He sat down – and shut up.” The Twitter user wrote.

“For those asking: It was an international flight. Preacher was a Nigerian man . Person who asked preacher to shut up was a Nigeran woman”, he added.

Heartwrenching moment mum broke down in tears after teenage son spent her rent money on a girl (Video)

An African American mother has taken to social media to lament bitterly after her teenage son squandered the rent money she had been saving up to impress a girl.

According to the displeased mother, who tearfully narrated what happened in a video making the rounds online, her 16-year-old son took $2,000 off her credit card to buy expensive designer items for a girl.

She said she had been saving the money which her son squandered on a girl to pay her rent.

The enraged mother, who tried hard to fight back her tears as they flowed freely, said she had already sent him out and she was considering calling the police to arrest him.

She said she was so furious that she feared she might have done something she would regret in a fit of rage, so she decided to share her ordeal on the internet to calm herself.

In other news, Andrea Ekeng Inyang, the special assistant to Cross River Governor, Ben Ayade, on Strategic Communication, has shared his thoughts on a viral photo of a mother carrying her son’s locker.

The photo, showing a mother carrying her child’s locker on her head to his school, gained widespread attention on social media after it was shared online.

The image elicited a range of reactions from netizens, many of whom pointed to it as evidence of a “mother’s love” for her child.

Inyang, however, had a completely different viewpoint. He asserted that the mother’s act was pampering rather than a display of affection.

“This is not love please. This is pampering. I carried my locker to school alone and here I am on Facebook today, not dead,” he wrote on Facebook.
