A Nigerian man whose love story with his older white woman went viral a while ago has revealed they are no longer together.

The young man identified as Michael, from Delta State, trended on the Nigerian web space in 2019, after he tied the knot with his older lover, Debby, who was born in Ireland but lives in New Zealand.

Meanwhile, Debby lambasted Nigerians who claimed Michael married her just to get a green card a few months after their wedding in 2019.

Some of the unflattering comments that accompanied their wedding post at the time included, “Finally na green card you need bro.”

Shutting down naysayers, Debby replied,

“When a person appears in the public limelight, no matter the level, they are always exposed to an element of negativity – the strength & courage is to not be baited or drawn in by peoples lack of common sense, shallowness & keyboard warrior judgement. So, instead I thought I’d try educating those who cannot see past the end of their noses.

Despite my husband having received his papers over 6 months ago, it has been his choice for us to remain here in Nigeria whilst we launch our Foundation which its aimed at changing so many lives here as well as investing in various areas of business. Intact, it is I myself who has benefitted the most by being granted my Niger Wife green card which is allowing me the freedom to enjoy this Country.”

Sadly, Michael revealed this morning, October 26, 2022, that their marriage has crashed.

According to him, he was planning to reunite with Debby and their son in New Zealand when Debby called to let him know that she had fallen out of love with him.

“I got a very well garnished cool breakfast with a cool lovely voice as ever, on the ground that she fell out of love for me. It’s actually better that living in lies of faking love and deceit”. He wrote in part.

Lady apprehended for allegedly defrauding three separate vendors with fake alerts in Abuja (Video)

A young Nigerian lady has been nabbed after allegedly purchasing goods from three vendors with a fake credit alerts in Wuye market, Abuja.

The slay queen is said to have bought a human hair wig, perfume, and clothes from different shops in Wuye market, where she paid for the items by using fake bank alerts.

From a video that was shared online showing the moment she was accosted, it was gathered that the lady first bought dresses worth N100,000 from a shop, went on and bought perfumes and a wig from two other shops.

However, after she was nabbed, the lady, who appeared unremorseful, claimed to have a twin sister, who had been the perpetrator and not her.

Just recently, another young lady stole was nabbed after she stole a wig from a store.

In a CCTV footage, that made the rounds, the lady who was well dressed and donned a Christian Dior handbag, pretended to be checking out wigs in the store when she shoplifted the wig.

She stylishly removed the wig from a mannequin put on display for shoppers and tossed it behind the table, and proceeded to hide the mannequin so the shop attendant would not notice that the wig was missing.

The yet-to-be identified lady, whose face was clearly visible in the video, then picked up the wig and hid it in her bag before walking out of the store. Unknown to her that the CCTV installed in the store caught her in the act.

Nigerian music executive, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has reacted to a video of his colleague, Portable, advising his followers about success.

The Zazuh star, who describes himself as “werey olorin i.e a mad singer”, had taken to his Instagram page to advise people to take charge of their life and not depend on other people for opportunities, and ultimately their success.

According to Portable, though he is not a good English speaker, he would still try to motivate and advise people on the right path to take.

A woman identified only as Gift has been arrested for fatally stabbing her lover, Eghosa after he caught her cheating on him with another guy.

According to information obtained, the event occurred on Monday, October 24 at Imafidon Street in Egor, Benin, Edo State. According to a source, the terrible occurrence took place when the deceased confronted her over seeing her with another man at his house.

“The deceased is my uncle. She had visited his compound to see another man and she was caught. Eghosa accosted her and it led to an argument. Before eyewitnesses knew what was happening, she picked up a knife from his kitchen and stabbed him in the neck. He passed on and she was almost sent to hell’s gate by neighbors who saw what had happened.”

“The irate eyewitnesses handed her over to security personnel while the deceased’s corpse was moved to the morgue” a source said.

Veteran actor, Ralph Niyi cries out over a blackmailer’s threats to leak his nudes Video)

Veteran Nollywood actor, Ralph Niyi, has revealed he’s being blackmailed by a yet-to-be identified person who is threatening to release his nude video online.

The thespian, who took to Instagram to cry out on Monday, shared his WhatsApp conversation with the blackmailer, who was asking him to pay a sum of 800K for the video not to be released online.

According to the 50-year-old, the blackmailer had been threatening to release his nudes if he does not grant his request.

He, however, disclosed that he told the blackmailer to go on with his threat, noting that he isn’t one to give in to blackmail.

His words,

“It is with a heavy heart that I come to you to tell you that I have a blackmailer on my tail, who is claiming to have a nude video of me. And for three days now, he has been threatening to go online if I don’t give him something.

“I am not one that will give in to blackmail. I have told him to go ahead. I have already spoken to a couple of friends and I want to thank them for giving me words of encouragement. My wife, and my family, I already told them when this happened. So please I just want to let you know.

“It is a perilous time out there. People are doing anything just to get money. In my line of work, anything can happen. I make videos. If by omission or commission, happen to get my nude, and then you are now saying you want money with it, I don’t think it will happen with me.”

Nollywood actor Kunle Afod’s wife, Desola, has seemingly backtracked on her initial claim that she and her husband had split.

Recall that the mother of four had, in an Instagram post on Tuesday morning, October 25, claimed that she and the thespian had parted ways.

“The good news you wanna hear. I left Kunle Afod.” She wrote.

However, this afternoon, in another post making a U-turn from her claim of a marriage crash, Desola shared a video showing her and her husband, Afod, on a video call.

She shared the video with Mayorkun ft Kizz Daniel’s True playing in the background, with the lyrics suggesting that reports that her marriage with the thespian has hit rock bottom are false.

World’s dirtiest man dies at 94 few months after taking his first bath in decades

An Iranian man dubbed ‘the world’s dirtiest man’ for not taking his bath for decades has passed away at the age of 94.

Amou Haji, who did not shower for 67 years and was unmarried, died in Dejgah village in the Southern Province of Fars on Sunday, October 23.

Haji stopped showering because he was scared of getting sick as he had an aversion to soap and water.

In conjunction with being dirty, Mr Haji also disliked fresh food and drink. His favorite food was rotten porcupine and he drank dirty water from a rusty oil can.

Haji, who spent most of his life in the village of Dejgah, also loved smoking animal feces out of an old pipe, rather than regular tobacco.

However, a few months ago, concerned villagers who were tired of his unkempt look, took him to a bathroom and forced him to have a wash.

They also built him an open brick shack to live in after discovering that he sleeps in a hole in the ground.

Mr Haji’s weird lifestyle was first made public in a short documentary film titled “The Strange Life of Amou Haji” published in 2013.

Few months after being forced to take a bath, Mr Haji has died at age 94.

A video of a man suspected to be Nigerian harassing his wife in public as he demands that she give him custody of their son has gone viral.

In the trending clip, the man made a scene at the Primary Place of Assignment (PPA) of his wife, who is a serving corps member.

The man, who claimed to be there to get his son, was quite aggressive as he held his wife by her dress and shoved her in different directions.

When the lady’s colleagues ran towards them to intervene, he yelled, “I need my son. I need my son. “

The wife, who was being harassed, broke down in tears as she narrated how she had fled their home due to incessant domestic violence from him.

In other news, a Malawian man, identified as Francis Banda, has demolished the houses he built for his wife and her mother after she dumped him for another man.

According to the aggrieved man who spoke in an audio recording shared online by Malawi 24, he and his wife have been married for 13 years and have three children together.

During the course of their marriage, he used his money and resources to build a house for his wife and another for his mother-in-law in her village.

However, things went south when his wife started cheating on him with another man, and recently moved out of their matrimonial home to stay with her lover.

Banda said he tried to contact his wife and mother-in-law to reason with them but his wife’s phone was picked up by her new man which infuriated him to the bone.

Nigerian businesswoman, Sandra Iheuwa, has been captured in a leaked voice recording making the rounds online begging her estranged husband, Steve Thompson to take her back.

Recall that the couple, who married in a lavish ceremony that reportedly gulped 45 million Naira in August 2021, divorced just five months later.

Following their split, royal hair boss, Steve Thompson, in a series of social media posts, gave reasons why his marriage to Sandra ended.

Steve alleged that Sandra, who shares a child with talent manager, Ubi Franklin, married him for social media and not for the home, among other damning allegations.

As the estranged couple recently resumed dragging each other on social media, the voice recording of her pleading with Steve to take her back after their split emerged online.

In the leaked audio, Sandra is heard begging profusely saying that she wants their marriage to work, but he refused.

Steve, while maintaining his stance, said he would never reconcile with her because of all she did to him, from alleging that he was having an affair to calling him out on social media.

Nigerian businessman, Steve Thompson has reacted after he was accused of threatening to kill his estranged wife, Sandra Iheuwa.

The couple, who tied the knot in August 2021 and separated barely five months after the wedding, have been at loggerheads since their marriage crashed.

Most recently, the divorce attorneys of the mother of one accused Steve of threat to life and inflicting grievous bodily harm on her in a petition to the Inspector General of Police and the American Embassy.

The lawyers also claimed Steve had extra-marital affair shortly after getting married to Sandra, and inflicted her with a sexually transmitted disease while she was pregnant.

Reacting to the allegation, Steve claimed Sandra begged him to reconcile with her but he refused and filed for a divorce. Following his refusal to patch things up, he claimed his ex-wife started peddling lies against him to anyone who cares to listen.

He further stated that the case in which he was accused of hurting Sandra and threatening her life was resolved in April, but she chose to revisit the issue again to get his attention.

Responding to Steve’s comment, Sandra said she doesn’t need his attention and only filed the petition to protect herself.

Rishi Sunak on Tuesday, October 25, officially became the 57th prime minister of the United Kingdom after meeting with British monarch, Prince Charles.

This comes few days after his predecessor, Liz Truss, resigned after spending only 49 days in office following a government crisis.

Sunak, a 42-year-old politician of Indian descent, has now become Britain’s incumbent Prime Minister..

Speaking outside 10 Downing Street after a meeting with Prince Charles, Sunak vowed to fix the mistakes made by Liz Truss and regain the trust of British voters after months of political upheaval caused by her controversial predecessor, Boris Johnson.

“Our country is facing a profound economic crisis. The aftermath of Covid still lingers, Putin’s war in Ukraine has destabilized energy markets and supply chains the world over.”

He paid tribute to Liz Truss who he said was not wrong to want to improve UK growth. He said some mistakes were made, not borne of “ill will or bad intentions” but “mistakes nonetheless” and he has been elected to fix them.

“I will place economic stability and confidence at the heart of the government’s agenda. This will mean difficult decisions to come. But you saw me during Covid doing everything I could to protect people and businesses with schemes like furlough. There are always limits, more so than ever, but I promise you this. I will bring that same compassion to the challenges we face today,” he added.

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has revealed that she is 43% Nigerian.

The former American actress made this known in the latest episode of her podcast, Archetypes, where she opened up about her genetic heritage and expressed a desire to know more about her roots.

Speaking with Senegalese-American actress and comedian Issa Rae, Nigerian-American comedian and writer Ziwe Fumudoh, and professor Emily Bernards, Meghnan said she took a genealogy test which revealed that she is 43% Nigerian.

“I just had my genealogy done a couple years ago. I’m 43% Nigerian, “she said.

Reacting to the revelation, Ziwe replied, “No way!”

A shocked Ziwe further asked, “Are you serious? This is huge. Igbo, Yoruba, do we know? “

“I’m going to start to dig deeper into all of this because anyone that I’ve told, especially Nigerian women, is just like, what?” Markel responded.

UI lecturer refutes report that he gave students $100 dollars for attending his first class

Dr. Bisi Olawuyi, a lecturer with University of Ibadan has taken to his social media page to refute the viral reports that he gave 10 of his students 100 dollars each for attending his first class.

On Tuesday morning, reports made rounds that the lecturer had gifted ten of his students the dollar notes for being the first students to attend his class following the suspension of ASUU strike.

Pictures of the dollar notes he had supposedly given them went viral, as students trooped to the lecturer’s page in droves to solicit for theirs.

It was also predicted that the attendance in the Lecturer’s next class would be massive.

However, the lecturer has dismissed the claim as false and has advised Nigerians to disregard it.

The Lecturer wrote:

“My attention has been drawn to a tweet circulating that I gave $100 each to 10 students. This is not in any way true. Please kindly disregard. Thank you.”

The young lady with Twitter handle @MissTinah_M, took to the microblogging platform to share the conversation she had with her partner that led to their breakup.

She had told her boyfriend about the standards she expects him to meet if they are to continue their relationship.

According to her, she wants him to give her grand romantic gestures like being taken on dates, receiving beautiful flowers regularly, and never splitting bills with him. However, her boyfriend said he can’t afford to give her that kind of lifestyle.

A woman who ended her marriage of 14 years for a man she met in a bar has narrated what transpired after getting ghosted by the new man.

Amanda Trenfield went viral on social media recently following news that she dumped her husband of 14 years for her ‘soulmate’ after she felt an ‘electric’ chemistry with him.

However, when she expressed her feelings to the man, named Jason, she was taken aback when he rejected her advances, leaving her single.

Amanda has now opened up on her decision in an interview with Moa Freedman on the ‘No Filter’ Podcast, where she narrated how it all happened.

According to her, she met Jason while she was on vacation with her husband to reignite their marriage. She and her husband had a chat with Jason over dinner, and then he invited them for a drink later on.

She said,

“It happened to be my favourite rose. And during the course of that evening, we just stayed talking – there was a depth of connection I just hadn’t felt before.”

“We enjoyed a body-hugging embrace where I whispered into his ear, ‘This isn’t over, I need to see you again.’ He put his hands tightly on my waist and pulled me close. ‘Yes,’ he replied. It was all I needed to hear.

“I had never felt anything like this before.”

The following day, Amanda approached Jason and expressed her feelings for him, and they shared a quick kiss.

“I opened the conversation with, ‘I felt strange and very connected to you last night’, and he said he felt the same way.

“He was there in those moments and felt the connection like I did. He felt the kiss like I did. But he decided to say no and move forward with his life without looking back,” she said.

Speaking on his rejection, Amanda said she has no regrets even though her life has changed completely.

A viral video has captured the moment controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, walked out of a show he was billed to perform at in Italy.

The Zazu Zeh star, who’s currently outside the country, was reportedly scheduled to perform at a show in Italy, but is said to have left his fans and concertgoers disappointed after he refused to perform and stormed out of the venue.

It’s alleged that Portable refused to perform and left the venue because the audience refused to spray him with money.

A video from the event making the rounds showed Portable hurling insults at the crowd while demanding that they spray him with money before he performs.

When the audience refused to do his bidding, the singer left the stage and tried to make his way out of the venue.

However, fans followed him to his car to insist that he return to the stage to perform, but again, he said they should first spray him with cash before he would return to the stage.

“Spray money, spray money, if you no get money go use your phone borrow money”, he said in part.

The singer ultimately entered the car and left the scene as his crew prevented the visibly enraged fans from attacking him.

Body of 13-year-old boy swept away by flood recovered in Abuja

The body of a 13-year-old boy, identified as Tosin Faisal Otun, has been recovered four days after he was swept away by floodwaters in Abuja.

The victim’s sister, Toyosi, had earlier taken to Twitter to announce that he was missing following the incident in their house along SCC Road in the Bwari area of Abuja on Friday October 14, 2022.

According to her, Tosin was last seen when he was sent to get a goat tied beside a drainage channel close to their house.

“Pls, help find my brother. His name is Tosin Faisal Otun, a 13-year-old. He was swept away by water on Friday around 4pm, 14th October, 2022. Pls, retweet till we find him.” Her tweet read.

Confirming the development to Punch on Monday, October 24, Toyosi said her brother might have slipped in the process of untying the goat while it rained heavily in their community.

“He was sent on an errand to bring our goat into the compound. I think he tied the goat close to the drainage. So, he went to get the animal when the rain started. I think he slipped, “she said.

The deceased’s father, Adewale, said Tosin’s corpse was found four days after the incident, and he had been laid to rest.

“The reason why the information was tweeted then was that when the flood swept him away, we could not find his corpse. Eventually, four days after, we were able to find his corpse and he has been buried. The incident happened around 4pm,” he said.
