A UK-based Nigerian man has shared a photo of him backing his child while his wife is at work, something he said he never saw himself doing back home.

Since moving to the United Kingdom with his family, the Benin-born man said he has had to humble himself and take on the responsibility of nursing their baby while his wife is at work.

Taking to Twitter, he discussed how very different the roles of a father and mother were in his home country, Nigeria, and not necessarily so in the United Kingdom.

Sharing the photo of himself backing their daughter, the father noted that he never thought a day would come when he would be the one babysitting their child while his wife worked.

In his words,

“If anyone had told me I will back a baby I will say is a lie… Well Bini man carry baby for back while madam went to work… UK will loyal you…”.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian man, identified as @KelvinOssai, has gone online to shower accolades on his father-in-law for teaching him a lot about fatherhood.

The first-time dad said his father-in-law came to the UK to visit him and his wife after they welcomed their baby, and he has been helping out with the baby.

According to him, his father-in-law bathes their baby, feeds him, changes his diapers and occasionally helps with the dishes.

“My father inlaw is teaching me a whole lot about being a father. This man came visiting, and has been helping us bath our baby, feed him and occasionally helps with the dishes. His presence alone, feels like its my mother inlaw who is around. Indeed, some men are real men!!!

Pastor suspended for allowing a political party hold thanksgiving service in his branch

An Akwa-Ibom-based clergyman has reportedly been suspended from the church for allowing a political party to hold a thanksgiving service in his branch.

Popular Nollywood actor, Moses Armstrong, made this disclosure in a Facebook post on Sunday night, October 2nd. He, however, did not mention the pastor’s name or church affected.

“A pastor is suspended for allowing a certain political party to hold her thanksgiving in his branch. Hummm. Christianity in the mud I cant even comprehend.” Armstrong wrote.

His Facebook followers, who confirmed the news in his comments, noted that the incident happened in an Apostolic church branch in Akwa-Ibom.

In related news, the Catholic Diocese of Gboko in Benue State suspended Reverend Father, Hycainth Alia, for expressing interest in the governorship contest of the state.

The Catholic priest is among the 12 governorship aspirants who purchased expression of interest and nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to participate in the party’s primary election.

In response, the Priest was suspended because his decision to join the Governorship race goes against the Church’s rule on partisan politics.

In a viral suspension letter addressed to all priests, religious and laity of the Catholic Diocese of Gboko, dated May 20, 2022 and signed by the Bishop, Catholic Diocese of Gboko, Bishop William Avenya, disclosed that the affected priest was earlier warned in line with the church’s rule on partisan politics.

Popular Nigerian singer, Davido went to church for the first time in three years today with his lover and son’s mother, Chioma Rowland.

This is just a few days after the singer’s logistic manager, Isreal DMW, revealed their reunion in a post.

Davido revealed on his Instagram story that he went to church for the first time in three years and from the post, it was quite Obvious that Chioma was with him.

The photo Davido shared led his friends and fans to believe that Chioma was the major motivation for him to go back to Church.

Soso Soberekon, a popular socialite, also had the same sentiment and he took to the comment section to praise Chioma for leading the brother back to God.

Award-winning movie producer, Kunle Afolayan has recounted how his late father, Adeyemi Afolayan otherwise known as Adelove, discouraged him and his siblings from delving into the movie industry.

Kunle, whose father was one of the pioneers of film-making in Nigeria and has three siblings in Nollywood, in a recent interview, disclosed that his father wanted them to pursue other careers because film-making was not lucrative in his time.

The ace film-maker however said he was hellbent on becoming a movie producer because he saw a gap in the industry that he wanted to fill.

Speaking about his father, the 48-year-old actor said,

“He said there was no money. Just go and be a lawyer.

“My father completely discouraged any of us from going into acting or filmmaking. He said do you want to be running around like I’m running around.

“And those were things I learned which helped me structure the business side of what I do because I don’t want to end up like them.

“I remember after he passed then Nollywood came and then I would see these films with beautiful stories then I would be comparing them to the film of my dad and Ogunde with the production quality but how come the audio is bad, how come the makeup is lousy, how can we do and this and I said ok I want to be a filmmaker, I never said I wanted to be an actor.

“I went to Tade Ogidan and he said ok when we have something I will call you.

“I also went to Tunde Kilani, he said who are you to say you want to make a film?

“That your dad was a filmmaker doesn’t make you one, you have to learn it. Go to school and complete your education and then when they wanted to do ‘Saworo Ide’ in 1998, he called me to come and I auditioned. I played the role eventually but still wanted to make a film.”

The moment Nigerian superstar singer, Burnaboy, bounced out a concertgoer at an event and immediately refunded money spent on his ticket has been captured in a viral video, and stirred reactions on social media.

The Grammy award winner was performing on stage when he noticed the attendee amid the cheering crowd looking unexcited and didn’t seem to be enjoying his performance like the others.

Seeing this, Burnaboy paused his performance, dipped his hands in his pocket for cash, handed it to the fan and asked him to leave the venue or better still, go to the back.

According to him, the front row is for his die-hard fans who understand his craft and would be ecstatic about his performance and not for anyone with negative energy.

“Go home, escort this guy out of this place. The guy is annoying me. You can go to the back though; the front is for my normal diehard Burna Boy fan; every one that understands that what I do here. If you want to do a fashion show or stand and look at me, go to the f**king church,” he said, as he called on the bouncers to escort the fan out of the venue.

A Nigerian lecturer who lectures at Umar Bun Khattab College of Education, Tudun Nufawa in Kaduna State, welcomed his 19th child and also married a fourth wife.

Mohammed Sulaiman became viral on social media after he shared photos of his three wives and 18 children during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Sulaiman, who had revealed that he won’t mind having more kids, took to Facebook on Saturday, October 1, 2022, to give an update on the latest happenings in his home.

According to his Facebook posts, he took a new bride, his daughter got married and one of his wives gave birth to a baby boy.

A Nigerian lady based in Port Harcourt has put fears in the minds of her friends after she dropped a suicidal notes on Facebook.

The young lady identified as Onwuzuruike Chidera, left suicidal notes on Sunday, October 2, 2022 where she bid herself farewell, saying that “they are here to take her home“.

“Rest In Peace, Dera. You have done your best. Rest, now.” she went on to add in another post.

According to an entrepreneur who is her friend, Chukwudi Iwuchukwu, Chidera has been battling chronic clinical depression.

He wrote on his page,

“Please, who ever that knows where Onwuzuruike Chidera lives in Portharcourt should please go and check up on her. My friend is battling chronic clinical depression and I came online to see her posing cryptic suicidal message on her page on Facebook. She is not taking my calls as I have been calling her for the past 30 minutes,” he said.

Popular socialite and Disc-Jockey, Dorcas Shola Fapson, is currently trending for the wrong reasons on social media and she is trying to mitigate the effects.

Miz DSF as she is fondly called, accidentally uploaded a video she was sending to singer Skiibii who she has been romantically linked to, on her Snapchat story.

Dorcas was responding to Skiibii’s message about “highness and ballon”, when she sent the video.

As one would expect, people took screenrecording before she could take down the video and she was ridiculed on social media.

Following the backlash that ensued, the actress offered an explanation. She disclosed that she was getting a wax and was sending the streak to Skiibii when she accidentally uploaded it on her Snapchat story.

Truly, some miracles are unexplainable just like the one I experienced but I’ve promised to come back to share the story. So, I’ll try my best

It has been my goal to work overseas. I signed into LinkedIn in 2018 because of this and I got my passport in 2020 with the hope of getting an opportunity

I started building a network around my preferred location and I was able to build more than 1700 connections from Canada here on LinkedIn in 2 years. I sent so many applications both on LinkedIn and Job Bank with no positive result

I would work during the day and still stay up at night because that is the best time to reach out to my prospects. I did this for more than 2 years

Long story short, on one faithful day around January 2022. I received a DM from one of my connections in Canada with a compliment about one post that I made that very day.

I can’t remember the time we got connected but I know it was around last year 2021

I thanked him for his compliment and I told him about my interest in coming to Canada

Before I knew it, he sent me his contact and we got connected on WhatsApp

He opened a WhatsApp group and named it ‘Oluwafemi’s Conquest’ and he added some people that could be of help.

He recommended me to an Employer in Canada and I was offered a job and sponsorship because of his recommendation

He supported me during the whole visa process and on the day of my arrival, He sent someone to come and pick me up at the airport to my destination. What would have cost me more than $100

He took me out for a lunch and not only that, he gave me a laptop so I can stay connected

The phone I brought from Nigeria didn’t work here. This same connection gave me an iPhone

He gave me some money and made sure everything goes well for me

And most importantly he gave me a note about how I can have and successful journey here in Canada and this helped me to be able to set another goal.

That is not all but it’s okay, I know he may not like to see that I came here to post about this

Big Brother Naija season 7 housemate, Adekunle, took a swipe at fellow housemate, Bella, during a fight over dirty plates on Friday morning.

The drama started when Bella spotted a plate Adekunle had used to eat dinner the night before on the table. She queried why he left a dirty plate on the table and accused him of being one of those who pile their plates in the house sink without washing them.

Adekunle then tried to explain that he deliberately left the plate on the table so he could wash it when he was ready and his plate wouldn’t get mixed up with the piled up dirty plates in the sink.

However, Bella wasn’t having his explanation as she continued to tackle him for not washing his plate after eating.

As they went back and forth with Adekunle trying to justify his action, he took a swipe at Bella, stating that she’s not intelligent.

As he left the lounge to the kitchen to do the dish, Adekunle said it was pointless trying to explain himself to Bella as she’s not brilliant.

“I’m just wasting my energy explaining to you, you are not particularly brilliant”, he told Bella.

Twitter personality, Sally Suleiman, has caused quite a stir on social media after she averred that a wedding that costs N10 million is a small wedding.

Sally, in her tweet, opined that N10 million is not enough to finance a big wedding in Nigeria considering the present reality and it’s for people in ‘middle class trenches’.

According to her, she planned a family member’s wedding with a budget of N10 million in 2014 and it didn’t do much, talk less of now.

She tweeted,

“10million naira in today’s world is not a big wedding. I would describe it as the people who are in middle class trenches. I can break that 10million naira down for you as someone who planned a fam’s wedding with 10million in 2014 and it was nothing fantastic, not to talk of now.”

A young man has faced heavy criticism on social media for the way he treated his mother at his graduation ceremony.

In a video serving the round online, the young man who was graduating and dressed in a black graduation garb walked out on his mother, who tried to offer him a ribbon.

The mum, who was visibly ecstatic that her son was graduating, dashed towards him with a floral ribbon to place on his neck, but he clearly wasn’t having it.

As his mother got to him with the blue ribbon and attempted to place it on his neck, he used his hand to shove the ribbon aside before he walked out.

According to him, it was embarrassing to see her bringing a ribbon to place on his neck amid the crowd during his graduation.

The mother glanced at the ribbon as he walked away, looking dejected.

Big Brother Naija season 7 winners, Chizzy and Rachel, have been evicted from the show.

You would recall that the duo were unveiled as Biggie’s riders two weeks into the season. As riders, Rachel and Chizzy could participate in the house tasks but were not allowed to compete for the grand prize.

Well, ahead of the grand finale on Sunday, October 2, last night Rachel and Chizzy’s time in the Big Brother house came to an end as the show host, Ebuka announced their eviction during a surprise visit to the house.

Ebuka had dinner with the housemates on Friday night, and moments after dining and chatting with them, he announced that Rachel had been evicted, although he didn’t mention that she wasn’t a real housemate.

After Rachel said her goodbyes to the housemates, Ebuka then added that Chizzy is also out of the show. He, however, also didn’t disclose his rider status to the housemates.

With Chizzy and Rachel’s exit, there are six finalists: Phyna, Bryann, Bella, Daniella, Chichi, and Adekunle, battling for the prize during the 100 million grand prize on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Chizzy’s eviction came after he won a brand new five-seater IVM Connect car during the Innoson task on Thursday.

Only a day after socialite and Davido’s close friend, Cubana Chiefpriest, shared a video of Chioma and Davido being cozy as they partied hard in a club, new photos of Chioma in Davido’s Banana Island mansion surfaced online.

Davido’s personal logistics manager shared the photos of Davido and his ex-fiancee, Chi, sitting together at a table in his multi-million naira home in Lagos.

In the photos, Chioma was rocking a sleepwear as she posed for the camera.

It was earlier reported that Davido and Chioma fueled speculations that they are back together following their breakup in 2021 after Chioma, who shares a son with the 30BG boss, was spotted at his concert in Lagos over the weekend rocking a 30BG customized pendant worth millions with the inscription “Chioma 002.”

A recent exchange between the pair on Chioma’s Instagram page also fanned rumors that they had reconciled and had their followers raving over the chemistry between them.

Nigerian man donates his 9 months savings to Peter Obi’s campaign

A Nigerian man has donated the sum of N500,000 to support the campaign of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

The young man identified as @RichMoney001, who revealed this on his social media page, urged Peter Obi not to disappoint if he wins the presidential election in 2023, and he added that the money he donated is his 9 months savings.

According to the staunch Obi supporter, he considers the donation as his contribution to a better Nigeria, and promises to donate more before the election.

“Am using my 9months savings to secure my future generation yet unborn. Pls @PeterObi when you become president come 2023 election pls don’t disappoint me and other youths that believes in you. 😥 My donation for @PeterObi campaign is not a mistake and i will donate more before the election, is my own little way of contributing for a better Nigeria. God bless Nigeria.” He wrote.

The young man’s gesture was however met with mixed reactions. While he was applauded by a number of Nigerians on the micro-blogging platform others tagged it as unnecessary.

A Twitter user @HassanT37248098 wrote, “Instead of you to look for one orphanage home or do giveaways to those parents that needs to pay their children school fees,or buy foodstuffs and donate to churches you dey waste your money on wasteful venture.”

A young lady had a horrifying microblading experience that left her with severe eyebrow injuries.

Apparently, the lady had paid for the popular cosmetic procedure that sees tiny needles pierce the skin with semi-permanent pigment to create strokes that resemble brow hair for fuller-looking eyebrows.

Sadly, the artist botched her microblading procedure. The lady who would have been excited to get her brows microbladed was left with major brow damage.

A video showing her severely injured brows is making the rounds online and generating a barrage of reactions from social media users.

Reacting, an Instagram user suggested that an infected tool was used on the lady.
