Nigerian lady shares her interesting experience in a church in Toronto, Canada (video)
A Canada-based Nigerian lady has taken to social media to share her interesting experience in a church in Toronto.
In a video she posted online, the young lady said she decided to attend the church because she is not a pagan who would stay home on a Sunday.
Upon arriving the church, she pointed out that outside the church was quiet while the service was going on – which is a stark difference from what is obtainable in Nigerian churches.
After the service, the congregants were told to go downstairs for ‘fellowship’ and she went along. According to her, she was surprised to discover that fellowship is for wining and dining.
She captured the platter of food and fruits made available for the congregants, and said she even went for second rounds. She said she was also given free ride back home.
After her enjoyable experience at the church, the young lady said she has been won over and would attend the church again.

“Leave me alone” – Suicidal woman fights off witnesses as they try to stop her from jumping off third mainland bridge (video)
A yet-to-be identified woman was prevented from jumping off the Third Mainland Bridge into the lagoon.
While it’s yet to be ascertained why she wanted to end it all, a video shared online showed concerned commuters getting out of their cars and rushing to the woman’s aid to prevent her from jumping off the bridge.
“Why do you want to commit suicide?”, one of the witnesses asks as they make an effort to restrain the woman who is bent on jumping into the lagoon despite their best efforts.
“What is going on?” another person asks the woman.
The suicidal lady yells at the worried bystanders, “Leave me alone,” and attempts to push them away.

Sonia Chinonso Ekweremadu, one of the daughters of Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has taken to social media to publicly beg for a kidney donor.
The 25-year-old explained that she had to drop out of her postgraduate studies in 2019 because she was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease known as FSGS Nephrotic Syndrome.
According to Sonia, her family has battled to save her life and this led to her parents facing charges directly connected to her illness.
She then begged Nigerians to come to her aid, writing: “I, Sonia Ekweremadu, hereby appeal to the general public to come to my aid and save my life.”
“I am appealing to anybody to whom it may please to assist me willingly with a kidney donation in the name of God.
The last 3 years have been extremely challenging. The charges being faced by my parents in London presently are directly connected to my illness and have complicated matter for me and my family.
This appeal would have been utterly unnecessary as every member of my family is eager to donate their kidney to me, knowing that I would do the same for any of them. Regretabbly, comprehensive medical examination showed that my case of nephrotic syndrome is a genetic illness and doctors advised against donation from any of my family members, as it would likely reoccur.

Wizkid’s personal bodyguard, Roy Emmanuel Obinna has taken to social media to expose a lady who ‘obtained’ his phone at a nightclub in Lagos.
Roy disclosed that he forgot his iPhone on a car at the parking lot of popular club, Quilox, last Friday and the said lady, who donned a brown outfit, picked it and walked away.
He shared a CCTV footage which captured the moment the young lady stole his phone, and asked anyone with useful information about her identity to contact him or the management of the club.
He also offered to reward anyone who helps him find his phone and promised not to reveal the lady’s identity.
He captioned the video,

Identities of Senator Ifeanyi Uba’s two aides killed by gunmen in Anambra revealed
The identities of the slain aides of Anambra South lawmaker, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, have been revealed.
On Sunday, unknown gunmen attacked the lawmaker’s convoy in Enugwu-Ukwu community, Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, and opened fire at the occupants of the vehicles.
Sadly, a yet-to-be identified number of persons, including two of the Senator’s aides were killed in the attack. The slain aides have been identified as Goodnews Mathias and Odum Ikechukwu, the senator’s Regional Manager.
Friends and colleagues of the deceased have taken to social media to mourn their unfortunate demise.
One Amb Adichie Izuchukwu said he and Mathias were at an event together last Thursday.
“On Thursday , we were all together in Ekwuluobia for the reception of Cardinal Peter Okpaleke and yesterday being Sunday, I was with Goodnews Mathias in the morning before I went to church.
“Late Odum Ikechukwu was Senator Ubah’s oldest staff, his Regional Manager and Goodnews, a Personal Aide who joined in 2012/2013. May the souls of my former colleagues and the souls of the security details that lost their lives yesterday RIP, Amen”
Another Facebook user, identified as Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia, said he met the slain aides few hours before the attack.
“I met these two friends yesterday around 2 pm at an event in Ozubulu. I had about 10 minutes of friendly engagement with one of them, Odum Ikechukwu. While I was exchanging pleasantries with Senator Ubah yesterday at Ozubulu, late Goodnews was one of his team snapping us. So sad that 5hours later, they were dead. RIP Goodnews and Odum. May God’s mercies take care of your souls! May God heal your families while we hope that those behind this barbaric act are arrested and face the law,” he wrote.

It would be recalled that in 2020, several warehouses housing relief materials for Nigerians during the COVID-19 lockdown were uncovered in different parts of the country.
Well, another warehouse has been discovered around Ede town, Osun state.
A video shared online today, September 12, shows the large quantity of food items in the warehouse, and a man speaking in the background claimed they are palliatives meant for the people of Osun state.
Packs of food items, including noodles, tomato paste, salt, rice, and other items, can be seen in the now-viral video.

Big Brother Naija level-up housemate, Sheggz, has gone on a rant about his well-being in the house.
Sheggz, who received a first strike for flouting Big Brother’s orders on Sunday afternoon, and Ebuka addressed his relationship with Bella during the live eviction show, told Hermes this morning that he’s not well.

The Made in Lagos star, who was donned in white, was on stage miming his hit track Essence, when a fan who desperately wanted the singer to record himself with his phone tossed his phone at him.

Retired DSP allegedly caught having carnal knowledge of mentally-ill girl in Enugu
A retired Deputy Superintendent of Police, identified as Gamy Ugwu, was paraded after he was allegedly caught having canal knowledge of a mentally-ill girl in Enugu.
A Facebook user, Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, who shared a video of the suspect being interrogated after he was allegedly caught in the act, said the incident happened in Igbo Eze North local government area of Enugu State.
“A Retired Deputy Superintendent Of Police from Amufie named Gamy Ugwu was caught having affair with an imbecile Called Ugo Nwa Eke in Amufie Community.” He wrote.
Members of the community, Eze Hillary Oluchukwu and Nnaemeka Omeh, also confirmed the incident on Sunday.
“The said man in the pictures raped/slept with a mad woman beside him. The man is a retired police officer in Umuopeke.” A member of the community wrote.

Trippie Redd who appears to be impressed by Portable’s style of music had earlier posted a video of himself vibing to Portable’s ‘Clear’.
Utterly fascinated by Portable’s talent, Trippie shared his song on his Insta-stories and captioned it, “Wow @portablebaeby”.
Well, in a latest development, Trippie has disclosed that he will like to work with the Nigerian singer, Portable.
Trippie made this revelation when he replied to Portable’s message thanking him for acknowledging his work on Instagram.
“We gotta work Brother,” Trippie told Portable.
Replying, an excited Portable expressed his eagerness to get in the studio with Trippie for his first international collaboration.
He shared snapshots of their exchange on social media and wrote, “I’ve got Chorus for you. Let’s give them the street vibes Zazu”.

The singer, who bagged nominations in the “Rookie of the Year” and “Best Street-Hop Artiste” categories in the Headies, had his double nomination rescinded for threatening his fellow nominees.
The much-coveted music award was held on Sunday, September 4 in Atlanta, the United States, and the singer appeared to throw jabs at those criticizing him for missing out on the awards because of his attitude in a video he shared on social media.
In the video, Portable says he’s not in competition with anyone, and warns that henceforth no one should advise him on his attitude.
He says he is a human who is imperfect and asked God to provide him with a helper that wouldn’t mind his character.
Speaking further, he noted that when he faces challenges, he believes something better is coming his way.

It’s a season of double celebration for the CEO of Patricia, Fejiro Hanu Agbodje, as he gets engaged and is also set to welcome a child with his girlfriend.
The 27-year-old entrepreneur proposed to the love of his life, who is currently pregnant with their first child, at their gender reveal party held recently.
Fejiro took to his Instagram page to share a video of the beautiful moment they found out they are expecting a baby boy.
According to him, he wanted a boy while his girlfriend (now fiancée) wanted a baby girl so she was evidently not happy about the discovery.
He then went on his knees to pop the question amid the gender reveal celebration, and got a resounding YES from his girlfriend after moments of throwing a tantrum.

A suspected internet fraudster better known as “Yahoo boy” took to his social media page to give a breakdown of how he spent the proceeds of a supposed fraudulent transaction that gained him N2m.
In the video he shared on his TikTok page, the young man revealed how he “spent the N2m his client gave him” as he shared series of screenshots showing how he disbursed the money.
According to him, he first got himself an iPhone 13 pro max, and then transferred N30k to his cleric “Alfa”, N5,100 to his mother, N9k to his father, N2k to his girlfriend, N21k on clothing, and N3k to an area brother.

A while ago, Wendy Shay alleged that some upcoming Nigerian artistes are sleeping with top Ghanaian female celebrities.
Speaking in a recent interview on Accra-based radio station Peace FM, Wendy Shay claimed that she knows some female celebrities who are dating and sleeping with “underground Nigerian singers”.
According to her, it is sad because Ghanaian singers can’t easily penetrate the Nigerian entertainment industry, talk less of dating a Nigerian celeb.
She chided the Ghanaian celebs and urged them to stop the act because it is disrespectful and could also be the reason why Ghanaian music isn’t doing well.
“Our top stars not only musicians… all you see are an underground artiste from Nigerian who comes and is dating a top female star in Ghana. I can’t mention names but it’s the female celebrities I’ve seen do that. It’s heartbreaking.
I can’t mention names because if I do that, it will be like I’ve personalized the issue but it’s an observation I’ve made for some time now. Even the country as a whole, you’ll realize that we support outsiders than we support our own,” she said.
“The results were wrong” – Wife insists after DNA tests revealed all her five kids are not for her husband
A mother-of-five has reacted after DNA tests conducted on her children revealed none of them is biologically related to her husband.
A Twitter user, @Meyeownboss, who shared the story on the micro-blogging platform, revealed that the couple had been married for thirty years, with their oldest child being 32 years old.
Paternity tests were recently carried out on the children. Sadly, the results showed that none of the couple’s five kids belong to the husband.
@Meyeownboss said when confronted, the wife, in her defence, insisted that the five DNA test results were wrong.
“I’m back here to say I watched an interview with a 55yr old man married over 30 years 5 children, youngest being 15yrs oldest being 32yrs… None… I repeat, none were his. When confronted the wife said all the dna tests were wrong. I repeat, she said, ALL 5 DNA TESTS WERE WRONG.” Her tweet read.

The quinquagenarian is said to have been married to his wife for more than two decades, and the union has produced five children. However, he recently learned the children are not his.
A Facebook user, Henry Shield, who shared the man’s predicament on the platform, said the man is being advised ‘to be a man’.

The mother of three recounted how people turned their back on her and how her own mother called her a ‘seductress’ trying to bring the clergyman down, and said people told her that exposing the clergyman would ‘destroy’ her.
Ese said she rushed into marriage in 2014 because of the ‘fear of destruction’ but she couldn’t sustain the marriage.

As much as I tried to act like her talk didn’t bother me, the words haunted me many times when I’d be in the kitchen making a meal or when I’m up at 2am tending to a newborn.

A Twitter user has told men that it’s wrong to propose to their partners when they are being celebrated for an achievement.
Racquel Gates, an associate professor of film at Columbia University, asserted that it is inappropriate to make a romantic proposal to a woman on the day she’s being celebrated for a feat she worked hard for.
Speaking further, she advised women to break up with their partners if they ever do this.
“Men, if your girlfriend is finishing a marathon, accepting an award, walking the runway to close out the collection that she designed, or taking a moment to celebrate any big individual accomplishment that she worked hard for -this is not the time to propose to her.” She wrote.
Racquel Gates’ tweet elicited varying reactions on the micro-blogging platform; while some agreed with her, a number of social media users disagreed.
