The corpses of an hotelier, Olugbenga Owolabi; one of his employees and a final year student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Rachel Opadele; and a bike man have been recovered from the bush.
Last week, the hotelier and Rachel were abducted by kidnappers who demanded for N5 million as ransom to secure their release.
The ransom was raised and an okada rider was contracted to take a family member to the designated spot in the bush along Ogbomosho-Ilorin Expressway where the kidnappers asked them to drop the money.
After collecting the money, the kidnappers killed the okada rider on the spot while the family member sustained injuries. They also killed the kidnapped victims and dumped their corpses in the bush.
A family source said the kidnappers became angry and killed the victims because of the increased military presence at the LAUTECH area.
Unknown to them that the soldiers were not there because of the kidnapped victims and were only there to beef up security in Ogbomosho due to the increasing rate of kidnapping.
In a new development, the bodies of the victims have been recovered from the bush and deposited at the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital mortuary.
Meanwhile, angry students and youths of the community, on Wednesday, staged a protest in Ogbomoso over the killing of the victims.
The Federal Government of Nigeria has defended President Buhari’s decision to purchase vehicles worth N1.145 billion for the Republic of Niger.
Speaking on the controversial decision that has sparked outrage from Nigerians, the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, while responding to questions from newsmen after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by the President at the State House, Abuja, said it’s to enhance Niger’s capacity to protect their country as relating to security.
She added that this is not the first time Nigeria is offering assistance to its neighboring countries.
“Let me just say that overtime, Nigeria has had to support its neighbours, especially the immediate neighbours to enhance their capacity to secure their countries as it relates to us. This is not the first time that Nigeria had assisted Niger Republic, Cameroon or Chad.
The President makes an assessment as to what is required based on the request of their Presidents. Such requests are approved and interventions are provided.
It is to enhance their capacity to protect their countries, as it relates to security and also to Nigeria.
Nigerians have the rights to ask questions, but also the President has the responsibility to make an assessment of what is in the best interest of the country and I cannot question the decision myself.
I have said this is not the first time and that Nigeria as a country has provided an intervention to our neighbours. It is in the best interest of Nigeria to do so.”

The mother of one, in a video recounting her life before her rise to stardom, noted that there was a point in her life when she was so destitute that she depended on neighbors for food.

Bisola urged her fans and followers never to give up and to reach for any level of wealth they desire.
In her words,
“I just say let me drop this, it is unsolicited, but I said let me tell you guys something. I used to think like that before but not anymore. Firstly, there is no award for the best in suffering.
I can tell you that I have been extremely poor, poor in the sense that I can’t feed myself. I literally have to wait for neighbours to cook so I can greet them and be on the side where I can afford to purchase any kind of food that I like to eat.
Comfort is beautiful; comfort is essential for you mentally; it puts your mind at ease and at peace. If after comfort you decide to go for luxury, it is beautiful, don’t let anybody make you feel bad for desiring luxury things”.

Internet celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha, popularly known as Mompha, has reacted after he was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Recall that the anti-graft agency, in a statement on Wednesday, August 3, declared the billionaire businessman wanted for alleged money laundering and called on members of the public with useful information on his whereabouts to contact the nearest police station.
The EFCC claimed that Mompha failed to appear in court for his money laundering trial.
Reacting, in a post titled “MOMPHA WANTED BY THE EFCC ‘-THE TRUE STORY”, Mompha explained that after his arrest and arraignment on the first case at the federal high court in Lagos, in 2021, the court ordered the EFCC to release his wrist watches and other valuables in their custody. However, the EFCC, in dissatisfaction with the judgment of the court on the release of his wristwatches, came up with another trumped up charges against him.
Mompha accused the EFCC of being corrupt. He added that the agency is a “charade” and he has come to the conclusion that he can’t get justice “within this corrupt-laden system”.
He insisted he had not committed any crime and had only paid money to his co-defendant, Nappy in the normal course of his Bureau de Change business.
In his words,
“MOMPHA WANTED BY THE EFCC’ – THE TRUTH STORY
After my arrest and arraignment on the first case at the federal high court Lagos, on the 10th of December 2021, the court gave me judgment and ordered EFCC to release my wrist watches and other valuables in their custody to me for been unlawfully seized. Being a bitter agency, the EFCC in dissatisfaction with the judgment of the court on the release of my wristwatches came up with another trumped up charges against me. On the 10th of January 2022 while I was at there office at Okotie Eboh to retrieve my wristwatches in compliance with the judgment of the court and immediately after collecting my wristwatches, they held me down at their office and charged me to court the following day on the frivolous charges. I was arraigned before a familiar Judge to the EFCC and in effect I was given a very difficult bail to meet as a result of which I ended up spending over two months in prison custody while making efforts to meet the difficult bail. After several attempts to meet the bail conditions failed, I successfully applied for the bail conditions to be reduced which eventually led to my release.
Upon my release I traveled outside Nigeria to check on the welfare and wellbeing of my family and returned to Nigeria shortly only for the EFCC Corrupt lawyer, Rotimi Oyedepo rather than focus on the establishing his criminal case against me along with the EFCC operative Kaina Garba, chose to capitalize on the fact that I travelled to blackmail me into entering plea bargain with EFCC else he would inform the Judge I travelled and ensure my bail is revoked therefore making me have no choice than to dance to his tune. I initially refused but after so much blackmail and intimidation by Rotimi Oyedepo, I succumbed and was told to pay N142 million naira to EFCC as compensation and also sign for a one year imprisonment sentence which I was uncomfortable with and they thereafter reduced it to N40 million naira and one year imprisonment.
When it became obvious to EFCC that I wasn’t going to sign the plea bargain and play to their game, they informed the Judge I travelled and the Judge without any concrete evidence and disregard.”

A businesswoman identified as Asiata Oladejo told a Mapo Grade A Customary Court, in Ibadan, Oyo state to dissolve her marriage on the grounds that her estranged husband, Abidemi, was unreliable and abandoned her and their children during a robbery attack.
Oladejo submitted her counter argument in the divorce suit filed by her husband.
”My Lord, I am yet to recover from the shock I experienced when a gang of thieves raided our house. He hid in the toilet, leaving me to pant in front of the armed robbers, who terrorized the entire residents of the house.
My lord, when the thieves arrived at around 1am. on that night, my husband was nowhere to be found to defend the children and I.
Unknown to me, he hid in the toilet. He only came out when they had gone. My husband wanted us to continue living in that house,” she said.
Abidemi in his defense said that his wife was ill-tempered.
”She comes to my shop unannounced to torment me. It is true that I hid in the toilet when armed robbers attacked our house. All the attempts made to bring her back home failed, because she said she was unnecessarily scared,” he said
He prayed the court to grant him custody of the three children because he had been a responsible father.

Akintayo granted custody of the three children to Oladejo, adding that she was in the best position to cater for them.
“Both petitioner and respondent shall be responsible for the education and other welfare of the children. In addition, Abidemi shall pay a monthly feeding allowance of N20,000 for the children’s upkeep. Both of you must maintain peace and order,” Akintayo held.
She, however, noted that there was no marriage to dissolve between the couple, because their union could not be considered as a marriage. She stated that their marriage was not in accordance with laid down customary laws of Nigeria.

“Yesterday was my honeymoon…I dated this lovely girl for three years before we got married, for us we believe in chastity so we decided to have no intimacy whatsoever. When we met into the room on the wedding night, then she started giving excuses…My wife has a penis, she has both, she’s an hermaphrodite, now I’m confused I don’t know what to do”. He said in part.
A lady has opened up about her unusual sex life, as she reveals her boyfriend has up to 100 erections a day and it’s tiring for her.
Vikki Brown, 31, and her boyfriend, Lucas Martins, 39, met by chance in a supermarket queue and have since then enjoyed a passionate and intense sexual relationship.
However, Vikki says her boyfriend’s erections are so frequent they can happen at any time, and even in places like a shop or when they go for coffee.
Lucas even went to a doctor to discuss the issue but was told it was not a medical problem. According to him, he never experienced this before meeting Vikki, and says she being a ‘goddess’ makes him get erect often.
‘She only needs to look at me and speak to me and I get hungry for it,’ he said.
‘If that pheromone and testosterone just link together correctly, I can easily come to bed and look at Vikki and have an erection. I fall asleep with one and wake up with one.
‘She is basically a forbidden fruit and for that reason I just want to eat it.’
Lucas said he has ‘always believed in good intercourse with his woman and wife-to-be’ and that she agrees it brings the relationship closer.
‘I do believe that too, he just wants me all the time,’ Vicky said.
She revealed that his sex drive is beginning to get in the way of her chores and appointments. She says she now rests from sexual activity because they live separately for now in Stoke-on-Trent, UK.
Vikki, who met Lucas during lockdown in 2020, says she wants to know if this is something that other people are also experiencing.
‘Through the whole relationship he’s always had an erection – in shops, restaurants, the gym – there’s no rest from it at all and I just wondered if any other couples are the same,’ she said.
‘We actually met in my favourite childhood supermarket Morrisons – I was in my uniform with wet hair and a mask on and as we were queuing up he walked around the corner with a massive piece of fillet steak in his basket and said “wow aren’t you beautiful”.
‘We got speaking and I turned down three coffee dates at the start because I was so happy being on my own – we would never have met unless we bumped into each other in Morrisons.
‘In bed it’s the same, he can go to sleep with an erection and wake up with one, even though he does night shifts there’s no change in it at all.
‘It’s every single place we are – we can be having a perfectly normal everyday conversation like “shall we go and climb this mountain next weekend” and he has an erection.
‘I can come down the stairs and walk past the glass door and be in the next room and it still happens.’
Lucas said, ‘It just seems to be natural, I’ve got a wonderful woman next to me – she’s a goddess.
‘After a year when most couples would die down, months and years go by and we get hungrier for each other.
‘It’s how she makes me feel, I’ve never experienced before how she makes me feel, our bodies are so connected and that is so easy.’
