Chukwuemeka Emmanuel popularly known as Oga sabinus through his lawyer recently served lawsuits to peak milk and gala sausage roll over an alleged infringement of his intellectual property.
Sabinus through his lawyer has demanded for the sum of One Billion Naira from Peak Milk over the alleged usage of his trademarked phrase, “Something hooge”.
He also demanded the sum of N100M from UAC Food Limited for using his brand picture and other intellectual products to make adverts and promotions for their product, Gala sausage roll.

Popular Nigerian comedian, skit maker and content creator, Chukwuemeka Emmanuel popularly referred to as Oga Sabinus has threatened to sue popular brand, peak milk over the alleged usage of his trademarked phrase, “Something hooge“.
Sabinus, 27, also threatened legal action against UAC Food Ltd, a company that produces gala sausage for using his brand picture and other intellectual products to make adverts and promotions for the product.
A pre-suit notice dated 27 May 2022 which was signed by his lead counsel, Mr Stanley Alieke, the comedian demanded from Peak Milk the payment of N500m for the alleged unauthorised use of his intellectual property and another N500m for damages for the “emotional, physical, psychological and mental trauma our client has suffered for the trademark theft and the infringement of his intellectual rights property”.
In a pre-litigation notice to UAC Food Ltd which is dated 25 May 2022, Sabinus also demanded the payment of N100m “for the use of the picture which is the average fee our client charges for his picture to be used for adverts and promotions”.
According to the comedian, a company belonging to Peak Milk, Friesland Food Wamco Nigerian PLC, used his trademarked slogan “Something Hooge” for the advert and promotion of their product, Peak Milk.
He revealed that the advert was made on Peak Milk Nigeria’s verified Instagram page (peak_milk) on 24th of May 2022. The comedian stated that the said slogan was trademarked on 26 November 2021 with the FILE NINIBER: NG/TM/O/2021/48316.
Sabinus also revealed that UAC Food made a post on its verified Instagram handle (galasausage_roll) on 23 May 2022 with his “picture”. He revealed that the post which was his cartoon picture was captioned, “the way I calculate everything in my life”.
“The post gathered massive traffic, and engagements and attracted huge followership to your page which only happened because the picture of our client was used for the promotion and advert,” the notice read.
The comedian, who was recently recognised by the Africa Movies Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) as the Best Online Content Creator of the year 2022, gave both companies 14 working days to meet his demands or meet him in court.

Kunle Adeyanju, the U.K Based Nigerian biker who took on an adventure to travel from London to Lagos on his Bike has finally arrived Nigeria and he was heartily welcomed by Nigerians who praised his bravery.
The biker who set off his journey from London, United Kingdom on April 19 was greeted at the border between Nigeria and Benin Republic by a cheering crowd who had gathered to welcome him, after which, he proceeded to Lagos metropolis.

Last night, Nigerian singer, Davido took to his social media page to call out a show promoter who renegaded on their agreement and refused to pay him before the show.
In a post shared on his Instastories, Davido alleged that show promoters sold out the show he was contracted to perform but have refused to pay him his balance.
He however revealed that he’d go ahead with the show because of the fans who used their last money to get tickets in a bid to see him perform.
Davido’s post read;

Not less than eight people lost their lives in a ghastly car accident in Imo state on Friday, May 27.
Two cars, a Hilux and a mini commercial bus, crashed at Akabo market, along the Owerri-Okigwe Road in Imo state, according to reports.
The passengers and drivers of the two cars are said to have died on the spot.
In other news, tragedy struck as a 300 level student of Bauchi State University, Gadau, one Hauwa Abdullahi Shehu, lost her life in a fatal motor accident about a month to her wedding.
Hauwa, who was a student of the Department of Human Physiology, Faculty of Basic medical sciences, was killed in the fatal crash which occurred on her way back to school in Gadau.
The deceased who has been described by her friends and course mates as kind, gentle and generous, was set to get married to ASP Abdulmuhyi Bagel.
Bauchi State Commissioner of Power, Science and Technology, Hon. Maryam Garba Bagel, who confirmed the sad news, revealed the groom is her younger brother.

About thirty-one persons have been confirmed dead in a stampede that occurred at a church event in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, today, May 28.
It was gathered that Kings Assembly, a church in Port Harcourt, organized a charity event to give out gift items including food to residents of the area.
A lot of people flooded the Polo Club with some arriving a day before to wait, while others arrived as early as 6am this morning.
When the gate was finally opened, the multitudes rushed into the venue causing a major stampede, which led to the death of some persons.
The acting spokesperson of the State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirming the tragic incident, revealed that 31 persons died in the stampede.
“Thirty-one persons for now have been confirmed dead and those injured are responding to treatment. We are investigating to find out what really happened”, he said.
Following a disagreement, the suspect, Simon Maina, allegedly went berserk and repeatedly stabbed his lover, Jackline Irungu, murdering her on the spot on Tuesday night, May 24 in Ngurubani town.
Witnesses claim that Maina and his girlfriend arrived at their rented room on Tuesday evening. While inside, the two disagreed for unknown reasons, and a heated argument erupted.
The suspect then reportedly took a knife and fatally attacked his girlfriend.
Celebrity stylist, Toyin Lawani and actress, Carolyn Hutchings, are currently tearing each other to shreds on Twitter as they accuse each other of unspeakable things.

In March, Portable took to social media to thank God for his life after he rammed his Range Rover into a building’s railing.
According to him, the accident was an attack by some spiritual forces.

Nigerian professional dancer, Kaffy, has shared more details about her divorce from her husband, Joseph Ameh.

The family of David Imoh, a sound engineer who was lynched and burnt to death by a mob in Lagos State, has announced his funeral arrangements.
The sound engineer was killed on May 12 by alleged commercial motorcyclists following an argument over N100
The obituary reads: “The family of late Reverend Abraham Sunday hereby formally announces the death of their beloved son, brother and husband, David Imoh Sunday, which painful event took place on Thursday, 12th May 2022 at Lekki, Lagos.
“He is survived by his wife, children, mother, brothers, sisters and in-laws. The funeral activities are stated below; Service of Songs/Celebration of Life Thursday, 2nd June, 2022, at 5pm at the Church of God Mission Intl, Victoria Island Zonal Headquarters, Garden City of God, T. F. Kuboye Street, Oniru, Lagos.
“Interment (strictly by invitation) Friday, 3rd June 2022 at 10am; Thanksgiving Service Sunday, 5th June 2022 at 8am at the Church of God Mission Intl, Church4Real, 3 Afisman Drive. Off Akinremi Street, Anifowoshe by Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos.”
A distraught wife has taken to a social media page to seek marital advice as she revealed that her Mother-in-law’s love for her Son whom she is married to is having a toll on their marriage.
The wife shared shocking details about the Mother-in-law sleeping in between herself and her husband every night and when she complained to her Hubby, he explained that it has been the norm since he was an only Son.
She lamented that the situation has made it complex to have sex with her husband.

“I don’t know what to do again. I once sent a story when my husband and I was staying with my mother in law. After posting, I gathered courage, confronted my husband and his mum. Because of that, my husband and I decided to move out to our own house.
We rented a two bedroom. Just two weeks after moving out, my mother-in-law followed us. Before she sleeps in between my husband. When I complained, my husband claimed that was how he was raised as an only son that I should adapt.
We no longer have sxx at night but during d day or hubby will invite me to his office. Ceetee, now my mil visited and agreed to stay at the second room. But on several occasions I will wake up in the morning and still see her in between my husband and I.
My husband as usual is on boxer and my mum in law will be wearing only pant and bra. Sometimes will only wear pants. I’ve never caught them having sxx.
I’m so confused. I don’t even know if they drugged me . How was I not able to know when she came in. Ceetee, im not a deep sleeper.
Before, I confronted them and threatened to expose them that they are having sxx. Because of that hubby agreed for us to get our apartment.
This morning I woke up to prepare for church and saw my mother-in-law in between us. I locked the door last night. Meaning hubby opened the door for her. I woke up and started shouting at her to leave my house for me to enjoy my marriage. She opened her mouth I told me that I can’t come in between she and her son.
They no longer care if I tell the world what they are doing or not. My concern is why only in between us. Why not sleep at the edge. Please post anonymous. How do I handle this.”
Nigerian Singer, Habeeb Okikiola has apologized to the organizers of Nigerian Award show – The Headies – for his verbal threat to the co-nominees in his award category.
Shortly after Portable was nominated, he took to his social media page to issue a threat that he’d cause harm to his co-nominees if he ends up not clinching the awards.
This did not go down well with Smooth Promotions Limited, the organizers and they swiftly reported Portable to the Police.
In a public announcement the organizers shared on social media, The HEADIES wrote in part;
– The Headies condemns such acts and are vehemently opposed to the utterance of any threats on actions that contravene our laws.
– We have notified the Nigerian Police Force of Mr. Okikiola’s actions to fellow nominees of the awards.
The organizers also demanded an immediate retraction of the video from Portable’s social media platforms as well as a written apology to the nominees in the categories he’d threatened
Portable later took to his social media page to share a new video where he apologized to the organizers and explained that he was just trying to stand up for the streets because it’s a rare occurence people like him get that level of occurence.
A Rivers state-born differently-abled Nigerian lady, Dorathy Osaronu, has reacted after being a target of social media trolling.
Dorathy and her husband, Gabriel, had shared adoring photos of themselves on Facebook to commemorate their one-year wedding anniversary. The pair tied the knot in a grand royal ceremony on May 23, 2021.
Well-wishers trooped to the comments to congratulate the couple on their first wedding anniversary. However, social media trolls also seized the opportunity to drag them to pieces by making vile remarks about their marriage.
In a lengthy Facebook post addressing her critics, Dorathy noted that she constantly gets a lot of unflattering remarks on social media. Especially from fellow women who insinuate that her man married her for money.
The Rivers State University graduate dispelled the claim and noted that she and her husband, Gabriel, have known half of her life and they both love and adore each other.
She went on to ask the trolls to keep their unsolicited opinions to themselves as their opinion of them doesn’t define their relationship.
“My husband Gabriel Osaro is someone I have known half my life, We both love and adore each other and your opinions of us doesn’t count, so hush it. And if you look us with evil eyes my God go blind that eye. When people assume He married me for money We both laugh 😂😂 which money na?

Empress, a close friend of Burna Boy’s ex-girlfriend, Stefflon Don, has slammed those dragging the singer over a song she’s about to release.
Steff had on Thursday, May 27, announced that she wants to drop a song titled “First of all” to share her own side of the story.
Since it came shortly after Burna Boy released a track “Last Last” where he seemingly addressed his failed relationship with Steff, it was widely believed that the latter’s yet-to-be released track is directed at him.
This caused a huge stir among fans of the Nigeria singer and his PA, King Manny, also went online to call out Steff for sampling Burna’s song in her track.
He also claimed she has released four songs already to share her own side of the story, and is only trying to use Burna Boy to chase clout.
In an apparent reaction to the online brouhaha, Steff’s friend, Empress took to her Instastory to tell Burna Boy call his people to order because they were disrespecting his ex.
She further stated that Stefflon Don is the best woman he will ever date in his entire life.

Nollywood actor, Samuel Ajibola popularly known for his character ‘Spiff’ in sitcom, The Johnsons, has replied those claiming his 5-month-old son bares a striking resemblance with Olusegun Obasanjo.
The actor paid a courtesy visit to the former president along with his wife and son recently, and shared photos from the visit on his Instagram page.
However, the pictures was met with mixed reactions from netizens who pointed out an alleged resemblance between the young champ and the politician.

Responding to the speculative comments, Spiff directed those raising questions about his son to God because he’s the only one that can reveal why his son looks like Obasanjo.
He wrote,
“For those of you asking yourselves questions about the resemblance, you can direct them to the Almighty. If you are close enough to him, he will surely reveal to you.. One love.”
Meanwhile, it’s not clear if Spiff or his wife is related to Obasanjo.
