“I’ve been looking for ways to become wealthy since 2007” – Suspect narrates how he severed head, hands of 12-year-old boy for money ritual

A 35-year-old self-confessed suspected ritualist has disclosed that he had been planning to amass quick wealth through money rituals for 15 years.

The suspect, identified as Wasiu Omomose, was apprehended with the severed head and hands of a little boy in Kwara state on Sunday morning.

Wasiu and one Akanbi Ibrahim were arrested during a police patrol on OkeOyi/Jebba Road on Sunday, April 24.

In a interview with Nigerian Tribune, Wasiu confessed that he severed the body parts of the deceased 12-year-old boy for money ritual purpose, because he believed that knowing about the death and burial of the boy was divine.

According to him, the deceased’s uncle had told him about the death of the 12-year-old, so he decided to go back to where he was buried at a later time to remove his body parts for use in his money ritual plan of 15 years.

He said he was taking the fresh human head and hands to an Alfa in Ilorin for ritual purposes, when he was apprehended.

“The boy whose head and hands I severed was brought to Share Town for care from Lagos State when he became so ill. I learnt this from his cousin (name withheld) when I picked him as a passenger and we got talking. I’m also related to the paternal grandmother of the passenger,” he said.

“On Saturday, as I was riding with the passenger, he informed me of the death of his cousin who was about 12 years old. After the discussion, I dropped him off, but the boy’s death struck my heart as an opportunity to get body parts for money ritual.

“I had a native doctor (name withheld) who was also a hunter. He was living at Oju Ekun area, close to Adangba area. We had been together for a long time and were members of Oodua People’s Congress (OPC).

“Since 2007, I have been looking for means of having wealth. I discussed with the native doctor but never made the move to look for things needed to perform the ritual. This was the first time I did such.” He said.

Speaking on what led him to the act, he added,

“I bought a motorcycle from the father of the deceased’s cousin, one Alhaji (name withheld), for N350,000. I just finished paying but the motorcycle was giving me a lot of worries over constant repairs. I decided to sell it but it was so bad that instead of its being bought for at least N180,000 to enable me purchase that of N550,000, it was being priced for N120,000.

“When I learnt of the young boy’s death, I thought of what the native doctor told me many years back and decided to seize the opportunity to act on it. After leaving the cemetery, I kept the bag containing the human parts in the bush in front of where I live with the thought that at daybreak, I would take them to the native doctor. Before then, the last time we spoke was about a month ago.

“At dawn, one of the boys with the native doctor called and told me that he was dead. Immediately, my phone dropped from my hand. I believe that the spirit of the deceased exposed my act.”

He, however, insisted that the man arrested with him was innocent, as he was just a passenger who wanted to follow him to Ilorin to purchase paper rolls.

In his words,

“The man asked where I was going and I told him it was Ilorin. He asked me to help get paper rolls from the post office when coming back, but I told him that it would take a long time before my return. That was how he decided to follow to do the purchase himself”.

Until men realize women nag because of love and women realize men shout at them because of love, marriages will continue to break – Shan George

Shan George

Veteran Nollywood actress, Shan George has taken to her social media page to share her opinion on why married couples divorce easily.

In a post shared on her IG story, the thespian opined that marriages end because men and women haven’t come to the realization that they nag and quarrel with each other out of love.

According to her, until both husband and wives realize that their fights and quarrels are done out of love, marriages will continue crashing.

She wrote on Tuesday, April 26,

“Until men begin to realise that women nag bcos of love, and women begin to realise that men quarrel and shout at their wives bcos of love, marriages will continue to break as easily as clay plates.”

Shan George

A while ago, Shan George made a case for ‘Babymamas’ all over the world.

According to Shan, there is no such thing as a single mother, rather it is society that brings up words to make people feel small about themselves

No woman is a single mother. There’s mother and there’s father. Simple. Society is always looking for words to use for people to feel small and inadequate about themselves.

“A father must call his son-in-law before visiting his married daughter” – Northern Nigerians say

Northern Nigerians say

People from the Northern part of Nigeria have started a conversation on micro-blogging platform, Twitter, about how the dynamics of a father’s relationship with his daughter changes after she gets married.

The conversation began after a Twitter user identified as Gimba Kakanda, shared his experience with his father-in-law.

He tweeted: “When my father-in-law visited us and learnt I had stepped out, he told his daughter he won’t go into the house without my permission. When I answered his call and learnt this, I felt embarrassed. But I got that he was only trying to make us understand the institution of marriage.”

Surprisingly, many Northerners corroborated his story, noting that it is customary for a father to call his son-in-law to request for permission before visiting his married daughter.

They added that it’s not necessary for a father to know where his daughter lives with her husband after he has handed her over to him in marriage.

They then went ahead to share their personal family stories. One revealed that his sister has been married for four years and their father doesn’t know where she lives.

Four kids electrocuted after an electric cable fell on a container shop in Ondo State

Four children, including two siblings, have lost their lives after getting electrocuted in their aunt’s shop in Ile Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The Public Relations Officer of the Ondo state police command, Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, who confirmed the incident to newsmen, said an electric cable fell on the metal container shop inside which the children were playing, killing them.

An eyewitness who gave a detailed account of the incident to Punch, said

“The electric cable fell on the container inside which the children were playing. They were rushed to the hospital, but there was no sufficient oxygen they could use for five of them. Four later gave up the ghost. But the case of the sixth child was not serious as she can walk and talk.

“The remaining two were taken to Trauma Centre in Ondo for treatment. One has been discharged, but the second child has been referred to OAU Teaching Hospital for treatment. Two of the victims came for holiday with aunt.”

Michael Barnabas, the BEDC’s Ondo State Corporate Affairs Manager, claimed the incident was fatal because the metal container store was under a high tension electric cable.

“Sadly, we received information about the electrocution of four little children within our network in Ile-Oluji due to an 11kv line that snapped. As a company, we condole with the families of the children because life is very sacred and should not end prematurely this way.

“According to information available to us, the children were in an iron container shop that was directly under an 11kv line that snapped which led to their electrocution when they had contact with the wire. The deaths would have been avoidable if there was nothing within the 11meters right of way statutorily required for such line.” Punch quoted him as saying.”

How my Landlord told me to park out of his house at night because I complained of the bad bathroom Tap – Nigerian Man recounts sad experience.

A recent thread on micro-blogging website, Twitter, has exposed the unsavory conditions some tenants put up with in the hands of their Landlords.

One particular story took netizens aback as a man disclosed that his Landlord once sent him parking from his house at 10PM simply because he complained about a bad Tap in the bathroom.

His post on Twitter reads;

Omgg! Akindele House with my full chest!

I left this man’s house by 11pm on 3 September 2019, WITH MY LOADS

Wetin I do? I told this man that the tap in the bathroom was bad, & apparently I committed treason

He said I should park out of his house that night,I think say na joke

The bad tap was one among the multifold of things wrong with that house.

The walls were peeling off, the roof was leaking, you and rats go dey live like say them contribute house rent, how bout the road leading up to the house? I chop curses from Uber tire

That’s how this man entered my apartment around 10pm that night and said I should leave. I’m sorry what?!

He said I should give him my account number let him refund my 3 months left. I hesitated, na so Baba carry tiles to hit me, said he will kill me and nothing will happen.

I was still thinking pe I’m in a movie, na so Baba break the door handle, broke tiles on the floor, said he will call boys for me that night.. Omo I give an account number, he sent the money and said I should get out

Omo me and my roommate that night begin find where to sleep😭

Omo I wish I was joking.

Just avoid that house by all means, you’re better off squatting in a hut in Ikorodu.
The man is evil, the house is terrible and you can be thrown out in the middle of having sex!

Adorable moment female Nigerian envoy walked her son down the aisle (Video)

Nimi Akinkugbe, Nigeria’s ambassador to Greece, has shared a video of the special moment she walked her son down the aisle on his wedding day.

In an Instagram post on Monday night, the excited mum said she was honored when her son reached out to her prior to his wedding day to ask her to walk him down the aisle.

According to her, walking her son down the aisle on his wedding day was a special moment for her, as the role of the groom’s mother was usually limited during wedding ceremonies.

Sharing photos and videos from the wedding, which was held in New York, and recounting how she felt walking her son down the aisle, Nimi Akinkugbe wrote,

“Traditionally, the role of the Mother of the Groom is much more limited than that of the mother of the bride. It’s usually at the discretion of the couple.

It was thus such a pleasure to receive a lovely message from my son on 23rd March asking if I would like to walk with him down the aisle! I’m more used to the groom walking with his best man, but i’ve never said yes so fast!!

It was one of the most special moments of my life being escorted by my son to my seat in the front row and then on to his position ready to receive his beloved Rekha! We were followed closely behind by my husband and the bride’s mother. A lovely touch.

I walked with the confidence that his choice of a life partner, our beautiful daughter Rekha, is perfect, by God’s Grace. Choice of music for our mother-son dance was a no-brainer. “Blessed” by @wizkidayo!

I feel truly blessed and pray that God will continue to bless their union and keep them through life’s journey. Look forward to celebrating them the Nigerian way in due course.”
