The record breaking nonuplets born in Morocco to a Malian couple on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, have celebrated their first birthday.

YabaleftOnline reported that their 26-year-old mother, identified as Halima Cissé, welcomed all nine babies – 5 girls and 4 boys – in a single delivery in 2021.

The boys were named Mohammed VI, Oumar, Elhadji, Bah, while the girls were named Kadidia, Fatouma, Hawa, Adama and Oumou. Read here

Their father who is an officer in the Malian Army, Adelkader Arby, speaking in an interview with BBC Afrique, said all the babies are in good health.

“They’re all crawling now. Some are sitting up and can even walk if they hold on to something. They are still in the care of the clinic in Morocco where they were born,” he said, adding that their mother Halima, was also doing well.

“It’s not easy but it’s great. Even if it’s tiring at times, when you look at all the babies in perfect health, from right to left we’re relieved. We forget everything,” he added.

Mr Arby, who just returned to Morocco for the first time in six months with their first daughter, aged three, to reunite with his wife and the nonuplets, said they will throw a small party with the nurses and a few other people to celebrate the kids as they turn one.

Mrs Cissé and the kids are currently living in a “medicalized flat” owned by the owners of the Ain Borja clinic in Casablanca where the babies were born.

“There are nurses who are here, in addition to my wife, who help to take care of the children,” Mr Arby said.

“The clinic has given them a menu which says what to give them to eat at all times – night and day,” he continued.

He added that the babies have different personalities – while some are exceptionally quiet, others are noisy and cry a lot, while some others liked to be carried.

Mr Arby also appreciated the Malian government for its help, and revealed that many Malians are looking forward to seeing the babies with their own eyes.

Praying for couples trying to have children, he said, “I hope God blesses everyone who doesn’t yet have children – that they can have what we, the parents of nonuplets currently have. It’s beautiful, a real treasure.”

Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, has reacted after his logistics manager, Israel DMW, advised him to reduce his philanthropic activities.

The singer, who has given out millions of naira in charity and helped a lot of underground artistes rise to fame, took to his Instagram page to share a video in which Israel advised him to tone down his goodwill gestures.

According to Israel who is also a beneficiary of Davido’s good nature, people still drag the singer and criticize him because of his father’s wealth despite all his selfless donations to people in need.

‘Barbaric act’- President Buhari condemns beheading of Nigerian Army couple in Imo

President Buhari has condemned the gruesome killing and beheading of two soldiers in Imo state.

Gloria Matthew and Audu Linus, who were beheaded over the weekend by unknown gunmen in Imo, had visited the state for their traditional marriage rites when they were attacked by the gunmen who shot at them before beheading them and shared photos and videos of their decapitated bodies on social media.

In a statement released on Wednesday evening by his media aide, Garba Shehu, President Buhari condemned the act, describing it as a “barbaric act”.

The statement reads in parts;

“On behalf of the government and the entire nation, President Muhammadu Buhari expresses deep condolences to the Nigerian Army and the families of Master Warrant Officer Audu Linus and his partner, Private Gloria Mathew, who were beheaded after being shot by the terrorist group, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Saturday as confirmed by the Nigerian Army.

The corpses were inhumanely treated and gleefully posted on social media platforms.

The President joins fellow citizens in expressing deep sense of shock and condemns the barbarism of the perpetrators of this unfortunate incident, and similar acts of violence against law enforcement agents, describing it as alien to all cultures and civilisations”

The statement added that the President has directed security agencies to “do their utmost in apprehending the perpetrators of these barbaric acts and bring them to justice”.

A Nigerian lady ias found dead in a hotel in Ebonyi state with her private part reportedly missing.

According to Channels, the lady who is rumored to be a commercial sex worker was said to have been found dead found on Monday, May 2, 2022, a day after she arrived the hotel located at G-Hostel Junction, Abakaliki, the state capital, with some men.

According to a source, “The lady went to see a guy that invited her to a hotel at Presco Junction, fast forward to the next day, she was found dead in the hotel room.

Her two hands were tied to the back, her legs were also tied and her face was blindfolded. Her private part cut off. The culprit is no where to be found but the police are on the matter.”

Speaking during a press conference on Wednesday in Abakaliki, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Loveth Odah, said investigations are on to uncover the circumstances that led to the untimely death of the young lady.

In a very unexpected move, Canadian rapper Drake responded to a troll who made an unpleasant comment about his son Adonis.

It all started when Tee Morant, father of American professional basketball player, Ja Morant, after a recent NBA playoff game, declared his son had performed like “crap,” a comment many deemed as “annoying.”

In contrast, Drake was among those who defended Tee Morant. In an Instagram comment, he opined that he would do the same if he were in his shoes.

Kailia Posey, a 16-year-old pageant queen who appeared on the reality show “Toddlers & Tiaras” when she was 5 years old, reportedly took her own life.

The teenager’s mom, Marcy Posey Gatterman, broke the heartbreaking news of her daughter’s death in a Facebook post on Monday night, May 2.

“I don’t have any words or any thoughts. “A beautiful baby girl is gone,” Kailia’s mother, Marcy Posey Gatterman, wrote on Facebook.

A family source confirmed a day later that the teenager had committed suicide.

“Although she was an accomplished teenager with a bright future ahead of her, unfortunately in one impetuous moment, she made the rash decision to end her earthly life.

She won countless crowns & trophies after competing on the pageant circuit her entire life. Her highly acclaimed talent as a contortionist had already led to professional touring job offers, and she had recently been selected to be a cheerleader at her high school next fall.

Kailia also had a love for aviation that was taking her to possible get her flying license and eventually become a pilot. She will be sorely missed. May she rest in peace.” her family told TMZ.

Posey starred as a child actress in the TLC reality show from 2009 until 2013. She revealed on Instagram in January that she would compete as Miss Washington Teen USA in February.

Popular gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi, has taken to his social media page to mark his 18th year of living with HIV.

Reminiscing on how he discovered that he had the virus in a post shared on his Instagram page, Bisi disclosed that he was ashamed of his HIV status for years before he embraced and became vocal about it

According to him, HIV doesn’t kill but the stigma, shame and discrimination meted on people living with HIV is what kills.

The 47-year-old speaker further advised people to get tested and know their HIV status.

He wrote,

“Eighteen years ago, at the National AIDS conference in Abuja and with nudging from friends, I walked into a testing booth for the first time.

I walked out with HIV positive test result. Two years before then, I had just lost my best friend to AIDS, and he was around 26yrs.

I have been living with HIV since I was 29, this year I clocked 47.

Between 2004-2009, I kept quiet about my HIV status cos of shame and stigma.

Then I realised, HIV doesn’t kill, it is stigma, the shame and the discrimination that does.

Sharing the photos, Bashir noted that growing up he didn’t have much fun with the governor as his grandchildren were enjoying him because he was always busy.

“Baba and his children & grandchildren. I envy them I didn’t have this much fun with him as he was always busy as I was growing up”, Bashir captioned the photos.

In the photos, El-Rufai could be seen carrying one of his grandchildren on his belly and another with his legs.

According to @jon_d_doe, the man put the lady in a family way when they were both teenagers and denied the pregnancy with the support of his mom and sister.

Reality show star and brand influencer, Angel Smith has said she can never go down on her knees to propose to a man.

Angel made this known while responding to a question on micro-blogging platform, Twitter, a lady defied the societal norm and proposed to her man in a crowded shopping mall.

In a seeming reaction to the viral proposal video in which the courageous lady got a YES from her partner, popular vlogger, Sisi Yemmie, threw a question at ladies, asking if they can also propose to their lovers.

Responding, the Big Brother Naija star averred that she would rather lick all the mud in a popular market in Lagos before proposing to a man.

Since it’s an impossible task to lick all the dust in Mile 12, it is deduced that Angel can never propose to a man regardless of how much she loves him.

Governor Abiodun’s Former aide, Abidemi Rufai, pleads guilty to $350,000 fraud in U.S.

Abidemi Rufai, a former aide to Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has pleaded guilty to fraud and aggravated identity theft, in the United States.

Abidemi was arrested at the New York’s JFK airport on May 14, 2021, and he pleaded guilty at a District Court in Tacoma, AP News reports.

The 45-year-old admitted to using stolen identities to receive more than $350,000 in pandemic-related unemployment benefits from Washington state.

He also admitted earlier fr@uds: Since 2017, he had obtained identifying information for more than 20,000 Americans, submitted $2 million in claims for dis@ster relief and other federal benefits, and received more than $600,000, prosecutors said.

According to the plea agreement, since 2017, Abidemi Rufai unlawfully obtained the personal identifying information for more than 20,000 Americans to submit more than $2 million in claims for federally funded benefits under a variety of relief programs. The various agencies involved paid out more than $600,000.

Rufai faces up to 32 years in prison for wire fraud related to a presidentially declared disaster and aggravated identity theft.

Last August, a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, had ordered the interim forfeiture of the funds and properties traced to the suspended aide.

Justice Tijjani Ringim made the order sequel to an ex parte motion filed and argued by a counsel to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ebuka Okongwu.

Leke Adeboye, one of the sons of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has paid tribute to his older brother, Pastor Dare, on his one year death anniversary.

Taking to his Instagram page on Wednesday, May 4, the clergyman shared a post in remembrance of his late brother who passed away exactly one year ago.

It can be recalled that Pastor Dare, who was 42 years old at the time, died in his sleep at his home in Akwa Ibom on May 4, 2021.

Leke shared a graphically curated photo of his late brother and wrote, “Forever in our hearts”.

The 42-year-old died in his sleep at his home in Akwa Ibom where he resides with his family on May 4, 2021.

Shortly after his death, Leke Adeboye penned an emotional tribute to his late brother, Dare Adeboye.

Leke ahead of his birthday reflects on how his brother would have celebrated him if he was still alive. According to him, it was a tradition to give each other gifts on their birthdays, May and June respectively.

Sharing a photo of his late brother, Leke revealed the clergy man still had his fist clenched like he was holding a mic, as he lay lifeless.

In his words,

“Your fist was still clenched like you were holding a mic. But this time with your eyes closed and smiling. It’s my birthday on May 20. You would have sent me a cash gift as a little brother. And I would have retaliated on June 9.

I still will, as you have given me a gift of being my brother. Thank you for all the experiences. The goods, the grillings and the godly.”

A man has elicited sweet emotions after he shared the messages he received from his wife while he was moderating a panel session.

The man identified as Kwabena revealed that he recently anchored a panel session. Unknown to him, his wife was in the audience. She then wrote him a message to encourage him and congratulate him on a job well done throughout the session.

The romantic wife also asked her husband to look in her direction so that she could blow him a kiss.

Sharing a screenshot of the chat on Twitter, the man wrote,

“Lol I was at a work event yesterday and I had to moderate a panel session. LOML was in the audience”.

In other news, a Nigerian man based abroad has taken to Facebook to call out his wife’s boyfriend for refusing to leave her alone.

The aggrieved husband, who has been overseas for six years and left his wife in Nigeria with their two kids, disclosed that he had been tracking his wife’s phone and discovered that she was dating a certain Segun.

He then reached out to Segun to beg him to leave his wife alone, but his response was quite surprising as he remained adamant and advised him to officially divorce his wife so he can fully take over.

After running out of options on how to beg the man, he took to a Facebook forum to appeal to the general public to beg his wife’s boyfriend because he doesn’t want to lose her.

American singer, Justin Beiber has disclosed that he suffered emotional breakdown after realizing that marriage wasn’t going to fix all his problems.

The 28-year-old singer who tied the knot with his wife, Hailey, in 2018, made this disclosure in a recent interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden.

According to him, when he got married to Hailey, he was emotionally down because marriage didn’t solve the problems he thought it would solve.

“I remember when I first got married, I hit a little bit of an emotional breakdown because I thought marriage was going to fix all my problems and it didn’t,” he explained.

He said he felt like an hypocrite for expecting his wife to do “some things” that he was not doing personally, and this made him do some self-reflection.

“You want your wife to do something that you’re not doing and it’s like, it’s hard sometimes to look in the mirror and really have to realise, man, maybe you’re not the person that you necessarily thought that you were. And that’s just a result of trauma and life circumstances,” he added.

The “Baby” hitmaker who recently gave his life to Christ, however noted that his relationship with God has helped him not to be too hard on himself.

“Just the idea that I’m forgiven and that he’s walking me through this journey and day by day, I get to just get better and better and not be too hard on myself,” he said.

He also encouraged other people to form a relationship with God because life can be hard sometimes, and they would need God to get through life circumstances.

Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare, has attacked her colleague, Eniola Badmus, over a comment she made on her post celebrating her latest acquisitions.

Laide Bakare took to her Instagram page to flaunt her latest acquisitions, two luxury cars barely a month after she splurged millions of naira on a mansion. She revealed that she bought the luxury whips to reward herself for her years of hard work.

Several colleagues, fans, and Instagram followers flooded the comment section with congratulations messages, including Eniola Badmus, but it seemed like Laide Bakare was not pleased with Eniola’s comment.

“Pele ooo Iya LarinLord”, Eniola had written.

Laide, in no time, replied to Eniola’s comment, tagging her as the president of beefers, and stated that she’s not happy about her success.
