Nollywood Actress, Tonto Dikeh and Kemi Olunloyo have been involved in a social media fight and both women are going at each other’s throat.
The drama started after Kemi Olunloyo and Tonto Dikeh’s ex-lover, Kpokpogri, during an Instagram live session, spoke about her reaction to the demolition of Kpokpogri’s mansion in Abuja.
During the live session, Kemi noted that although Tonto was gloating over the demolition of Kpokpogri’s multi-million naira mansion, she had no hand in it, and was only doing that for clout.
Tonto Dikeh wasn’t happy with Kemi’s utterances and she took to her social media page to warn Kemi to keep her name off her mouth.
Kemi Olunloyo then issued a response to Tonto’s rants, and in the process alleged that the Actress bought a gun to use on her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill.
Reacting to Kemi’s claim, Tonto said if Kemi does not provide proof that she really purchased a gun, she is going to “run up on her on the streets.”

“Kidnapping anyone, especially a law enforcement officer on duty, is a felony. This man is already a suspect” – Lagos Police PRO speaks on viral video
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, has reacted to the viral video of a female officer screaming for help after a motorist zoomed off with her in his car.
In a now viral video, the police officer who had reportedly entered the man’s car without consent is seen dragging the steering with the driver as she yelled out for help. However, it’s unclear what transpired between the duo.
Hundeyin, reacting to the video in a post shared on his official Twitter page, said it’s a crime to kidnap anyone, especially a law enforcement officer on duty regardless of their perceived offence.
According to him, the man in the video is already a kidnap suspect and the Police has already commenced investigation into the incident.
Hundeyin wrote,
“Irrespective, I repeat, irrespective of whatever the police officer must have done (un)professionally, kidnapping anyone, especially a law enforcement officer on duty, is a felony. This man is already a suspect. Investigation has commenced.”

Five-year-old boy drowns during swimming lesson in Lagos
A five-year-old boy, Chidera Eze, has drowned during a swimming lesson organized by his school in Ikeja, Lagos state.
The victim, a pupil of Redeemers Nursery and Primary School in Ogba, Lagos State, went to the Ivory Health Club on Ogundana Street in Ikeja on Monday, May 16, for a swimming lesson organized by the school.
Chidera and other students were claimed to be playing at the pool’s edge when he slipped into it during the session.
Chidera’s father, Anthony, said the teachers, caregivers, and lifeguards were not aware that his son had fallen into the pool until he drowned. Punch reports.
“I dropped my children at the Redeemers Nursery and Primary School on Acme Road, Ogba, on Monday morning, and I went to work. At 10.52am, I got a call from their head teacher, Mrs Adeola Oladipo, and she told me that my son was involved in an accident and that he had been rushed to the Ikeja Medical Centre.
“I rushed down there, but what I saw was the lifeless body of my son. I asked the head teacher what happened and she said she did not know. I asked the doctor what happened and he said he was brought in dead. I asked the teachers, caregivers and workers at the club what happened and they gave no explanation.
“As I was crying, my wife came in; I was trying to manage the information, but the head teacher also informed her and as she ran into the hospital, I became totally confused. I went to the Area F Police Station and after the policemen took pictures of my son’s corpse, we went to the club.
“When we got there, we discovered that it was the adult swimming pool section that they took the pupils to. I was alarmed and while the policemen were investigating, we realised that CCTV was installed at the club. So, we demanded to check the CCTV footage and it revealed everything.” The bereaved father said.
According to Anthony, the footage revealed that his son was in the pool for over 30 minutes before he died. He added that his son’s corpse was discovered by another person, who came to swim in the pool.
“In the footage, we saw that the school brought more than 15 children, took them to the adult side of the swimming pool and made them sit at the tip with their legs in the water and without wearing any kits. We saw only one caregiver in the video and she was just going in and coming out, leaving the children unmanned.
“My son was at the tail end of the line when he slipped into the pool the first time but he was able to bring himself out of the pool. But the second time he slipped into the water, he could not come out. All these happened and none of the teachers, caregivers, and lifeguards took notice of what was happening.
“My son was under the water for over 30 minutes and we were all shouting as we watched the video. Another pupil also fell into the water, but her colleagues raised the alarm and they pulled her out and while this was going on, nobody noticed my son was inside the water.
“My son died because of the recklessness of these people who were supposed to take care of him. I want justice to forestall this kind of thing happening again. The caregivers, lifeguards, school management and the Ivory Health Club can’t go unpunished. My son’s corpse has been deposited in the morgue.” He added.
Hemp seller allegedly slits his girlfriend’s throat for wearing his slippers
A hemp seller, simply identified as Toba, has been accused of killing his girlfriend and dumping her corpse in a bush in Kara-Kekere community, Ogunrun, Mowe, in the Obafemi Owode area of Ogun State.
The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, May 18, after Toba sent his girlfriend, Tunrayo Odubanjo, on an errand to buy an alcoholic drink for him.
She was said to have worn his slippers while heading out, which infuriated Toba and he allegedly attacked her for it when she returned.
Peju, an eyewitness who spoke with Punch, said,
“He told her to pack out of his house, but she kept begging him and when she decided to leave the house, she could not see her slippers. She asked him for the slippers and Toba said he threw them into the bush. She pleaded with him to help her retrieve them from the bush, but he refused.
“I tried to intervene, but he threatened to use broken tiles on me. So, I withdrew and continued with what I was doing. The girl later asked me for slippers, but I told her I had none. Suddenly, he pursued the girl again, dragged her into the bush and started beating her.
“I heard the girl begging and thought it was just beating. After a few minutes, I suddenly saw him sitting on the lady. I quickly called people at the site and the son of a chief in our community and they rushed down to apprehend him as he abandoned her corpse in the bush and wanted to run. Toba used broken tiles to slit his girlfriend’s throat.”
It was gathered that Toba moved into the apartment two days before he allegedly killed his girlfriend.

A Twitter user has taken to the platform to narrate how his friend’s girlfriend gave out her number to another man while they were on a date.
According to @Yemihazan, he went to a recreational spot with his friend and his girlfriend when a rich guy walked in and seemingly sent signals to the lady.

Young Nigerian lady dies in Kano explosion
A young Nigerian lady has been identified as one of the victims of the tragic explosion that occurred in the Sabon Gari area of Kano State.
There was pandemonium in the area on Tuesday morning, May 17, after a blast said to be gas explosion rocked the area killing at least nine persons.
Emmanuel Belletti, a friend of one of the victims who was simply identified as Mary, have taken to social media to mourn her untimely demise.
“RIP dear. May God Almighty grant your eternal rest. She is a victim of yesterday incident that happen yesterday in sabon gari” he wrote.
The deceased was identified by the institution’s spokesperson in a statement on Tuesday as a Higher National Diploma (HND) student in the department of Civil Engineering, while the identity of his lover is still unknown.
Adewole acknowledged that the incident happened off-campus, precisely in the Idi-Ito area of Ibadan, Oyo state.
It was gathered that the door of the apartment was forced open by the fellow students after waiting for several hours for them to come out.
The lifeless body of the deceased was seen on the floor while his lover was found unconscious. The lady was rushed to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan where she’s currently receiving treatment.
Some of the students who pleaded anonymity attributed the incident to the use of sex enhancement drugs.

In the viral video, the police officer who had stopped a motorist on the grounds that his vehicle papers were incomplete, emphasized that he is a man of God and that God ordered him to halt the driver.
The officer spoke in tongues to prove to the motorist that he was indeed spirit-filled and asked the man to “package something” for him.
When the motorist refused to buckle and insisted that his papers were complete, the officer said the man had disobeyed “the speaking of the lord” and asked that they go to the police station for more senior officers to intervene.

A Nigerian man has taken to his social media page to narrate his horrifying story of how he escaped a ritualist camp.
According to Oluwafemi-Eden, he boarded a campm headed to Bodija but to his utmost shock, he woke up almost unclad, tied in an unknown location.
He recalled seeing blood on the ground and when he looked around, he saw that some passengers who were in the cab with him had been killed.

So, on this fateful day, the 8th of December 2020,
I had just relocated to Ibadan from Lagos and stayed in Akobo, Ibadan.
I woke up this morning with the desire to see my younger sister. She is a student of the University of Ibadan and works at Joke Plaza, Bodija.
My phone was dead, and I couldn’t inform anyone of where I was going or my whereabouts. So I got dressed, left the house, got to the junction of my house, and waited a long time for a bike, but I couldn’t get any after a while. I decided to take a cab.
A little less than a minute later, I saw a “Micra cab” called Bodija. I waved to stop it, and it did. I entered, and I was the second person in the back seat, with another woman with me. After we moved a little, we had another passenger join us. We became three in the back seat.
The cab was at its maximum capacity; we were ready to move. We got to the general gas bridge, and that was the last thing I remembered until I woke up later and found myself almost naked with just my shorts and singlet on me.
I was shocked to find myself somewhere I didn’t know. I could untie myself, and I saw blood on the ground when I looked around. In front of me, the woman and the man who had been in the back seat with me appeared to have been killed.
I was scared to death; I tried walking around to see where I was, and boom, I saw human parts stacked across the hut (privates, legs, hands); after seeing this, I almost peed on my body. I didn’t see any other people, so I decided to find a way out of the place; as
I was tiptoeing around, I started hearing a conversation outside. It was in Yoruba.
Please allow me an attempt at a translation: “Return that boy; we can’t use him at all; I don’t know how you guys were able to bring him here; there is a lot of damage he will cause if he stays here longer,” but Baba, “he fits the description perfectly; the other two people dead are just collateral damage, what can we do with this?” Baba:
The Baba was hesitant to return me to wherever they picked me up. They brought the suggestion,”Can we erase his memory?”Maybe we should just waste him. “He told them he was begging them if they didn’t want everything they had worked for to no avail, they should return me in peace
I must be whole, and he told them that if I woke up before they returned, there was nothing he could do to make me sleep again because initially, I shouldn’t have slept off.
They later agreed to return, but they were finalizing some arrangements.
I tipped around until I saw an opening where I could run into the bush, and I did. I saw the Micra driver and the other man in front, but they did not see me. The door was behind them, and they did not know I had escaped.
So I started running into the bush;it’s not like I knew where I was going,but I just wanted to run as fast as possible away from the place.I got to an untarred road; I tried waiting for a while,but I couldn’t see any buses, cabs, or bikes;I was praying in tongues under my breath.
After a time, I kept running until I got to another road, but this was tarred. A few minutes after I got there, I saw a rickety jalopy bike approaching me from afar. I waved, and I stopped the motorcycle. The man was old.

Veteran Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola has given a rather unpopular opinion about Feminism.
The 51-year-old actress, in an exclusive interview with PremiumTimes, at a movie set in Lagos, said feminism is too toxic.
“My passion for the girl-child and the women does not make me a feminist; I am a humanist,” she said.
“I don’t like this feminist idea because I think there’s a focus on this wing of feminism that is extreme. It’s toxic. I don’t want to be part of that. I want us to realise that you care about humans if you say you are a humanist
Bimbo also spoke glowingly about the growth Nollywood has experienced over the years.
She said: “I think we are growing, change is constant, we have changed in terms of our technical know-how, we are taking more time, we are putting more effort into our movies, we are trying to make them perfect for the audience, that’s what has changed, we have evolved.”
“Comparing when I started my career till now, this industry has grown; at that time, the industry was only but a baby, and as a baby, I think we were crawling, and we also had great quality then, it was a much smaller industry, now its a much bigger industry with all sorts of people. It was easier to judge then because we had a small group of people, few actors and few producers, but now we have lots of people experimenting.”

“I already went for vasectomy consultation” – Nick Cannon reveals amid reports he’s expecting another child after 7 children
American TV host, Nick Cannon has revealed that he has had a meeting with a consultant to discuss having a vasectomy.
The 41-year-old actor has had seven children with four different women and is currently expecting his eight child with his girlfriend, Bre Tiesi.
Speaking on his ‘situation’ in a recent interview on E! News’ Daily Pop, Nick said he is in the process of undergoing a vasectomy.
“I don’t know if I would’ve designed it this way, but it’s one of those things when you’re blessed with the gifts of children — and as we all know, I’ve been through so much, I find solace, I find peace in my children and I find purpose. So, I’m not out here looking.”
He continued: “I already went and got my vasectomy consultation. I ain’t looking to populate the Earth completely, but I’m definitely looking forward to taking care and loving all the children that I currently have.”

“File charges reflecting the gravity of the situation” — NBA tells Sokoto government after Deborah’s killers were charged with Criminal Conspiracy and Inciting Public Disturbance
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has ordered the Government of Sokoto State to file charges reflecting the gravity of their offence against the killers of Deborah Samuel, who was killed and burnt by her fellow students over a blasphemous message.
This comes after a legal practitioner, identified as Ebun Adegboruwa, slammed the government for charging the suspects, Bilyaminu Aliyu and Aminu Hukunchi, who were arraigned before a court on Monday, May 16, with Criminal Conspiracy and Inciting Public Disturbance.
Reacting to this report, NBA released a statement signed by its President, Mr. Olumide Akpata, to call on the Sokoto State Government to take the case seriously and rethink their prosecution strategy.
“The government should immediately commence the prosecution of all suspects involved in these brutal and arbitrary killings in order to send a strong signal that such acts will no longer be tolerated in Nigeria.
The NBA also believes that the prompt and effective prosecution of the alleged killers will instill confidence in the citizens, promote accountability, and signpost the government’s commitment to the rule of law.
With particular reference to the murder of Miss Deborah Yakubu and related developments in Sokoto, we note that some arrests have been made by the Nigeria Police and that the suspects are now being prosecuted.
We are, however, worried by yet-to-be confirmed reports reaching us that the suspects have been charged with mere breach of public peace in an episode that cut short Deborah’s life in her prime.
The NBA is strongly opposed to a banalization of the situation, and if these reports are true, then we call on the Sokoto State Government to immediately rethink its prosecution strategy and file charges that truly reflect the gravity of the situation”, the statement read in part.

National Hospital dismisses claims of Osinachi’s corpse singing ‘Ekwueme’ at night
The Management of National Hospital, Abuja, has reacted to claims that the corpse of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, sings her hit song ‘Ekwueme’ at night in the morgue.
The hospital addressing the claims in a statement released by its spokesperson, Dr Taiwo Haastrup, dismissed it as false, while stating that it’s just the imagination of people.
“Medically, there is nothing like that; it’s just an imagination of people. Somebody that is dead and is a corpse, how would such a person be singing in the night?
“There is no medical backup to that; it’s an imagination that may be due to the church she attended while alive, and the songs may just be giving people ideas, but there is no proof in any way. It just can’t be proven in any way.
“Somebody that is dead is dead and has become a corpse; it’s inside a morgue, it can’t sing and can’t move so it’s an imagination of people.”
Speaking on the result of the post-mortem examination conducted on the deceased singer, Hasstrup said,
“It’s a coroner case, and it’s confidential; we can’t reveal anything there. The IPO in charge will give it to the IGP, who will turn it to the court.
“The result has been submitted all the same, and our people did it confidentially.”
Osinachi died on April 8, 2022, from injuries she sustained when she was allegedly physically assaulted by her husband.

A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to disclose that she has quit her day job as a sales representative to become a full-time runs girl.
The yet-to-be identified lady, speaking in a video making rounds online, said she arrived at the decision after she was paid N50,000 by a client to service him for one night.
According to her, she has not earned that much in her three months of working as a sales representative, and sees no reason to return to the job.
The lady, who was flaunting some naira notes in the video presumed to be her earnings from her night-out, said she didn’t know prostitution is that lucrative and pays well.

The lady, identified as @jaipurlan on Twitter, had noticed that the man was putting up an attitude and pressing his phone during the date, and asked what was wrong.
To her surprise, the man asked her to start walking back home since she didn’t agree to go back to his house with him.
Responding, she pointed out that he drove her to the location and should take her back to her house, but the man insisted that there’s no point taking her home and ‘wasting gas’ when she won’t go to his house with him. Watch the video here

Popular Nigerian singer and music executive, Davido’s daughter, Imade, has noted that she doesn’t know what “hard times” means.
The 7-year-old stated this when her mother, Sophia Momodu, read out a fan’s question during an Instagram live session.
A fan had asked Sophia during a live session if she’d ever gone through a hard time, and Imade, in response, noted that she doesn’t know what that means.
“I don’t know what that means.” Imade said.
Imade’s statement astounded her mother so much that she dropped the phone she was holding. Sophia then prayed for her daughter, that she would never face difficulties in life.

A pregnant woman identified as Princess has died a few weeks after her baby shower in Abuja.
Family and friends of the deceased have taken to social media to mourn her demise, including Nollywood actress, Sonia Ogiri.
Princess had her baby shower a few weeks ago, according to actress, Sonia Ogiri, who shared photos from the event on her Instagram page.
Unfortunately, she passed away before her due date.
“RIP Princess.
I haven’t been able to understand the story behind your passing. How princess? You were the first set of people I met in Abuja years ago. You can’t leave in Abuja as a girl/woman and you don’t know Princess or her shop. I have been confused cause you were not sick, no signs, no notice, you were full of life as you began your day.
