Veteran Nollywood actor and comedian, John Okafor popular known as Mr Ibu has narrated how he was poisoned by a family member.
In a video which has gone viral, Mr Ibu, his brother and his Wife who went viral for taking care of him on his sick-bed, were seen on the altar as he gave his testimony.
John Okafor revealed that it had been a boy from his family who had poisoned him and his brother because he wasn’t happy with his prosperity.
He said:
“The same boy poisoned my elder brother. We are the same family but since God started helping me, I started buying things, buy motors, dashing people, build house, he wasn’t happy.
He was really looking for means to eliminate me but God said no.”

This is not the first time Mr Ibu’s ‘kinsmen’ have reportedly attempted to kill him. In 2020, Mr Ibu raised the alarm about how his kinsmen paid his domestic staff to poison him because of his successful career.
In an interview with Nigezitv, Mr Ibu recounted how he was abducted and poisoned at an event in Nnewi. He also disclosed that his protruding stomach was a result of the poison.

Popular Nollywood actor, Akah Nnani, has shared an unpleasant an encounter with some men of the Nigerian police force.
The thespian in a video he shared on social media detailing his ordeal said it started after the car he was in, was flagged down by police officers along Ring Road Bridge.
According to him, around 20 police officers were stationed on the bridge, claiming to be conducting a stop-and-search operation with a shuttle bus rather than an actual police vehicle.
He claimed that one of the cops who approached his car cocked his gun and pointed it at him and the driver for no apparent reason.
Nnani said the officers who had a SWAT inscription on their outfit—the replacement of the disbanded police unit SARS—asked them to drive to a dark alley, away from the bridge and other road users.
He added that they insisted on searching him after he refused, and suspected him of possessing a charm after seeing his house key, which was adorned with a native drum.
Sharing the video on Instagram, he wrote, “I’m so pissed off!! I had a nasty experience yesterday night. The Nigerian Police Force @nigeriapoliceforce needs to look into this and stop the menace going on from 9pm every night on the Ring road bridge linking Osbourne from 3rd mainland.”

Passenger with no idea how to fly an aircraft safely lands plane after pilot gets sick mid-flight
A passenger who had no flying experience safely landed a small plane in Florida on Tuesday afternoon, May 10th, after his pilot suffered a medical emergency amidst the flight.
The passenger landed the plane at Palm Beach International Airport with the help of air traffic controllers, according to WPBF-TV.
“I’ve got a serious situation here,” the Cessna Caravan passenger was reportedly heard telling air traffic control about 70 miles north of his final destination.
“My pilot has gone incoherent. I have no idea how to fly the airplane.”
“Roger. What’s your position?” a dispatcher responded, according to the outlet.
The passenger replied, “I have no idea. I can see the coast of Florida in front of me. And I have no idea.”
“Maintain wings level and just try to follow the coast, either north or southbound. We’re trying to locate you,” the dispatcher said.
Controllers helped the plane descend and finally located it about 25 miles north of Palm Beach in Boca Raton.
From there, air traffic control coached the man to land the plane on the ground. It was said to be a safe and steady landing.
“You just witnessed a couple passengers land that plane,” a controller reportedly said over the radio when the incident came to an end.
One aviation expert said what the passenger did has never been heard of.
“This is the first time I’ve ever heard of one of these [Cessna Caravans] being landed by somebody that has no aeronautical experience,” said Aviation expert John Nance.
The Federal Aviation Administration reportedly said it believed the pilot suffered a medical emergency, as it continues to investigate.
Nigerian woman gives birth to triplets after 17 years of waiting
The Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) are in celebration mode as they felicitate with one of their members who gave birth to a set of triplets after 17 years of marriage.
The lady identified as Mrs Olabisi Akapo and her husband, Austin Akapo welcomed their children, two boys and a girl, last year.
The church Facebook pages shared new photos of mother and her triplets on Sunday, May 8, 2022, writing,
“Our triplets are fast growing. After 17 of years of waiting on God, He showed the family how wondrous He is, He is never late. May His name be glorified”
In related news, one Prophet Michael Ayomide earlier in the year, welcomed triplets with his wife after 13 years of waiting.
The excited new father took to his social media page to share the great news and thank God for turning his sorrow into joy with the arrival of his bundles of joy.
He shared photos of his pregnant wife and expressed gratitude to God for blessing them with children after waiting for 13 years.

A trending video of some ladies standing up to their father has stirred reactions on social media.
In the now viral video, the man who is said to be a pastor in Abuja, was accused of attempting to physically assault his wife when his daughters stepped in to defend her.
The rather enraged man was seen in the video holding a belt and one of the daughters is heard saying he had threatened to send their mum to her grave, however they stood up to protect their mum and stopped him from beating her.
The ladies have since been widely celebrated for protecting their mother.

Daddy Showkey slams boxing promoters who brought Floyd Mayweather to Nigeria (video)
Veteran Nigerian singer, Daddy Showkey has lambasted the boxing promoters who brought Floyd Mayweather to Nigeria.
The former boxing champion arrived Nigeria in a customized private jet over the weekend to promote his exhibition match against Don Moore in Dubai.
He also paid a courtesy visit to APC Presidential Hopeful and Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, at his Abuja residence on Monday morning, May 9.
There, he promised to set up a boxing academy in Nigeria to build young fighters like himself.
“The ultimate plan is to find the next Mayweather. I want to work with kids, I will come over to meet and talk to make sure we are all on the same page, and slowly start building these fighters.
“We just want to help. It’s all about giving back, helping the youths and the young generation coming up.” he said.
Reacting to the visit, Daddy Showkey speaking in a video shared on his Instagram page, expressed outrage at the promoters who organized Mayweather’s trip to Nigeria.
He criticized them for failing to carry along local boxers who have been championing boxing in Nigeria.
According to him, Mayweather could have met with them instead of visiting Amaechi – a politician who has never shown support for boxing.

In related news, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has explained why Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, is yet to be arraigned in court.
The IGP made this revelation during a courtesy visit by the Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Kedem Tallen, OFR, to his office at the Louis Edet House, Force Headquarters, Abuja on Wednesday, April 20th.
During the visit, the Minister spoke about the plight of Nigerian women, especially in regards to gender and domestic-based violence. She also mentioned the case of the late gospel singer who died on April 8, after she was allegedly physically abused by her husband.
The Minister who visited the IGP in company of some of late Osinachi’s family members, then asked to know what the police is doing to ensure justice is served for the singer’s untimely death.
In response, the IGP stated that the singer’s death is heartbreaking, particularly because her husband, Peter, has been accused by her family and other close sources of causing her death.
He however pointed out that the suspect was arrested on Sunday, April 10, at his residence in Lugbe, Abuja, and is currently in police custody at the FCT Police Command as they continue to investigate the controversial case.

Taking to her Instastories, the mother of two said these new generation kids are softer and built different from the older generation, and should be treated as such.

Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem winner, Mercy Eke, has responded to an allegation of fighting with singer, MC Galaxy, over money received from a politician.
A report was shared online on Tuesday, May 5, alleging that the reality show star was involved in a fight with the singer.
Mercy was said to have been invited by MC Galaxy to Akwa Ibom for a political event, alongside her co-star, Princess.
The event was the presidential declaration of Godswill Akpabio, a former governor of Akwa Ibom state and current Minister of Niger Delta Affairs.
However, it was alleged that Akpabio ignored Mercy and her colleagues at the event.
MC Galaxy then went to see Akpabio who reportedly gave them a N1 million to share among themselves.

Broadcaster arraigned for sharing viral video of 10-year-old Chrisland pupil on Twitter
A Nigerian broadcaster, Uche Igwe, who allegedly shared the controversial video of a 10-year-old pupil of Chrisland School, has been arraigned in court.
The 40-year-old was arraigned before a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State on a two-count charge of cyberstalking and breach of peace on Monday, May 9.
Prosecution counsel attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department Panti, Augustine Nwabuisi, told the court that the defendant committed the offenses on April 18. Nwabuisi told the court that the defendant intentionally posted a video of the 10-year-old female pupil engaging in sexual intercourse with another student in Dubai on his Twitter handle @uchedark.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Igwe’s alleged offences contravene Section 24 (1) (a) (b) (i) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition and Prevention) Act of 2015, and Section 168 (d) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Adeola Adedayo, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N10 million with three sureties in like sum. Adedayo ruled that the sureties must submit their National Identification Numbers and their Lagos State Residents Registration Agency cards.
“one of the sureties must be a land owner, and all the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction,” she added.
The case has been adjourned until June 13 for mention.

19-year-old boy sentenced to death by hanging for killing his five-year-old nephew in Kano
A Kano State High Court has sentenced a 19-year-old man, Ibrahim Khalil, to death by hanging for killing his five-year-old nephew, Ahmad Ado.
The presiding judge, Justice Usman Naabba, convicted Khali of two counts of kidnapping and culpable homicide.
In his judgement, Justice Na’abba sentenced the convict to 14 years of imprisonment for kidnapping and sentenced him to death for culpable homicide.
According to the prosecution counsel, Mr. Lamido Sorondinki, Khalil committed the offence sometime in 2019 at Karkasara Quarters in Kano metropolis.
Sorondinki said that the defendant kidnapped his sister’s son, Ado, and in the process used a sellotape to cover his nose and mouth before burying him in a shallow grave at Sabuwar Sheka in Kano.
Three witnesses and four exhibits were presented by the prosecution to the court during the trial.
Though the convict denied having a hand in his nephew’s death, his lawyer, Barr. Aisha Abdulkadir, presented him as a lone witness and pleaded for clemency on his behalf.
In other news, a Nigerian lady, identified as Ndiana Utuk, has been thrown into mourning after losing her sister, Nsisong Utuk, to the cold hands of death.
It was gathered that Nsisong was one of those who perished in a ghastly motor accident that occurred last month while travelling to Uyo from Aba.
Friends and family of the deceased have gone online to mourn her untimely demise as they paid tribute to her.
Her grieving sister, Ndiana, also took to Facebook to mourn her sister and wondered how death takes people away, never to be seen again.

The 40-year-old singer who is currently pregnant, had taken to her Instagram page on Monday night, May 9, to release the first batch of photos.
She captioned it,

A Twitter user took to the micro-blogging platform on Monday night to drag Saga and tagged him a “mumu” for being too clingy to Nini.
Saga had a great crush on Nini during the Big Brother Naija season 6 edition, as you may recall. They had a deep relationship and were always together. He did, however, propose a romantic relationship to Nini, but she declined.
