A passenger who had no flying experience safely landed a small plane in Florida on Tuesday afternoon, May 10th, after his pilot suffered a medical emergency amidst the flight.

The passenger landed the plane at Palm Beach International Airport with the help of air traffic controllers, according to WPBF-TV.

“I’ve got a serious situation here,” the Cessna Caravan passenger was reportedly heard telling air traffic control about 70 miles north of his final destination.

“My pilot has gone incoherent. I have no idea how to fly the airplane.”

“Roger. What’s your position?” a dispatcher responded, according to the outlet.

The passenger replied, “I have no idea. I can see the coast of Florida in front of me. And I have no idea.”

“Maintain wings level and just try to follow the coast, either north or southbound. We’re trying to locate you,” the dispatcher said.

Controllers helped the plane descend and finally located it about 25 miles north of Palm Beach in Boca Raton.

From there, air traffic control coached the man to land the plane on the ground. It was said to be a safe and steady landing.

“You just witnessed a couple passengers land that plane,” a controller reportedly said over the radio when the incident came to an end.

One aviation expert said what the passenger did has never been heard of.

“This is the first time I’ve ever heard of one of these [Cessna Caravans] being landed by somebody that has no aeronautical experience,” said Aviation expert John Nance.

The Federal Aviation Administration reportedly said it believed the pilot suffered a medical emergency, as it continues to investigate.

The lady identified as Mrs Olabisi Akapo and her husband, Austin Akapo welcomed their children, two boys and a girl, last year.

The church Facebook pages shared new photos of mother and her triplets on Sunday, May 8, 2022, writing,

“Our triplets are fast growing. After 17 of years of waiting on God, He showed the family how wondrous He is, He is never late. May His name be glorified”

The excited new father took to his social media page to share the great news and thank God for turning his sorrow into joy with the arrival of his bundles of joy.

A young lady has been praised online after a video showing the moment she stood up to her father after he threatened to kill her mum during a heated argument was shared online.

According to viral reports, the man in the viral video is an Abuja pastor who has allegedly repeatedly physically abused his wife in their 26 years of marriage.

In related news, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has explained why Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, is yet to be arraigned in court.

The IGP made this revelation during a courtesy visit by the Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Kedem Tallen, OFR, to his office at the Louis Edet House, Force Headquarters, Abuja on Wednesday, April 20th.

He however pointed out that the suspect was arrested on Sunday, April 10, at his residence in Lugbe, Abuja, and is currently in police custody at the FCT Police Command as they continue to investigate the controversial case.
