Popular social commentator and Author Reno Omokri has said that the ideal family is one where the husband works to provide while the wife cares for the home.
His post on Instagram reads ;
Dear men,
The ideal family is one where the husband provides for the family, and the wife cares for the home. Wokeness rejects this, but wokeness did not create marriage. God did and Scripture is very clear. So stop accusing women of gold digging when they look at your income when you look for their hand in marriage.
Man was created by God as a provider. Woman was created as his helper. If you as a man have nothing to provide, you need a job, not a helper. Don’t marry when all you can be is a sufferer, rather than a provider! Women who refuse your suffering are not gold diggers.
In a rejoinder post, Reno commended Mothers as he noted that it is the most tasking job on earth.
In his words;
The most tasking job on Earth is the job of being a mother. From the delivery room, to the living room, a mother works. Being a mother is a full time job that is physically tasking and emotionally draining.
A lot of damage is done on Earth when women have children and leave them to nannies and maids to raise while they pursue money. Nobody can look after your child like you. A wife who looks after her children deserves financial support from her husband. It is a partnership.
I believe you saw what happened in some schools of late. A lot of that would not have occurred if those children had parents who gave them the required nourishing.

I am a medical doctor & my hubby is a software developer. We both had good jobs till my husband lost his job & getting a new paid job was hard, we decided that I travel to Canada till we’re stabilized, he would join us with the kids. We have 2girls.
Dec 2018, I decided to come to NIGERIA for the festivities to celebrate & our 20th wedding anniversary.
When I arrived, I noticed a tensed atmosphere between my daughters and their father. I thought it was the teenager – parent’s issue, so I ignored it but when I noticed that my daughters would sometimes be rude to their father, I demanded to know what was going on. This became a matter of concern cause, my daughters used to adore their father.
I tried severally to get my girls to speak but all they had to say was for me to talk to my husband.
I had to ask my hubby what was going on. He told me it was nothing he couldn’t handle & that our girls were keeping bad company in school & cause of this, he decided to disallow them from going out & attend parties. He drops them in school & creates time to pick them from school.
I was happy as such strong hand is needed for my girls. I ignored their attitude. Few days to when I was to travel back to Canada. I called my girls to talk to them. After a long talk, they told me that daddy did not want them to go out cause he was having sex with both of them.
When my husband came back from the office, I confronted him and they repeated what they told me in his presence. My husband denied vehemently but the girls insisted that it was the truth. I was confused and I sought the counsel of our pastor and his parents.
They called our girls & they said the same thing. I didn’t know who to believe. My husband kept begging me to believe him but I just was not ready to listen cause I could not see reason why our children would lie about such. I made arrangement and took my children back to Canada with me despite the loans I had to take, for the extra costs. While I filed for divorce. I raised my children alone for about 3years.
Then I heard the news that my now ex husband was getting married to someone else. I mentioned it to the girls and expressed how sad I was that
a man that would do that to his daughters went scotfree because there is no evidence to push a case. I bursted out crying while apologizing to my girls about what he put them through. It was there that they confessed that their father did not touch them.
That they lied cause their father did not give them freedom to do what they desire & they wanted to leave NIGERIA. My world shattered. Where do I start from? How do I beg my husband? What do I say? Probably, I should have trusted my husband, but I was just trying to be a good Mom I lost a good man. How do I get him to forgive his children and I ? Can I still save my home ?
Who will you blame in this story? The Children who lied on their Father cause of Freedom or the wife that didn’t trust in her husband despite him pleading he was innocent? 😢😭😢”

A Nigerian man using a John Doe alias, has taken to Twitter to explain why men shouldn’t wait till they have money before finding a wife.
@jon_d_doe asserted that if a man waits until he is financially stable before finding a wife, there is a higher chance that he will marry the wrong woman.
According to him, it’s better for men to settle down with the woman who stood by them during their struggling days, instead of looking for a new woman to marry when they eventually make money.
Read his full post below,
“If you wait until you think you’ve gotten money before you start to look for a wife, the probability of finding the wrong wife is high. Let me not sound like a broken record. A lot of you in relationships have actually found your wives. But because you’re broke, unstable, you lack the confidence & conviction to make that woman believe in you,
It may sound somehow, but one reason she may leave you is because you’re “throwing things open”.
You’re afraid to commit to her & not fulfilling it when things look up for you. So you don’t want to “promise” her anything. I was also advised this way too. I also understand why a lot of men will rather not promise anything as no one can predict the future.
But come to think of it….
Wouldn’t you rather want your day one ride or die chick to be your future wife?
Trust me, all these marriage fanfare and engagement will only just be formalities. You’ve long been married just not official.
When she’s eating your money, you’ll be happy because you know she worked for it with you.
She drank Garri with you, why not eat chicken with you?
Why must someone else enjoy it and why should another man enjoy yours?
Didn’t you guys have a plan? Or you Just wanted to be fuck buddies? Common that’s waste of years.
You’ll always meet beautiful women, even as a married man, they’ll chase you.
But there will always be that missing “spark” if you don’t marry that woman who knew you from day one.
Just cast your minds on how your parents met. Most, had nothing but they worked things out.
I may be wrong, as I can’t prove it, but let’s not doubt it much if our fathers met our mothers as mostly virgins before marriage.”

A 21-year-old Zambian student, Rebecca Ziba, has been arrested by the police in Russia for twerking at a war memorial.
Ziba had taken to her social media page to share a video of herself twerking on a World War II memorial in Khanty-Mansiysk and captioned it; “Shaking ass for the dead, I’m sure they are sleeping well tonight.”
The Russian Government didn’t take kindly to her actions and described it as “obscene” and “insulting”, the caption was also tagged “offensive”.

In another video shared online by the Russian Investigative Committee, Ziba is seen in what looks like an interrogation room, apologizing profusely for her actions, while stating that she didn’t mean to offend anyone with the video.
She said,
“I want to apologise to everyone for the video that I posted on the 16th of April. Without knowledge of knowing what it meant and who it was going to hurt or upset, I posted a video of me dancing on a monument,” she said
“The video that I posted, I didn’t intend it to be offensive, neither did I mean it to offend anyone or to be disrespectful to those people that died. And because I did not know what exactly it meant, I never thought it would be this big. I am very very very sorry to everyone, I didn’t know. And if I knew I wasn’t ever going to post it. I hope I am understood and forgiven.”
