Popular Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye otherwise known as Rude Boy, has disclosed the staggering amount he now spends to power his house in Lagos.
His shocking disclosure follows the recent increase in the price of diesel and current reports that the national grid has collapsed leading to power outage across the country.

Five months after being abducted by bandits along the Kaduna-Abuja road, a Nigerian man has been reunited with his family.
According to a Twitter user, @aleeyudikko who shared the story on Twitter, another man who was sent to deliver a ransom to the kidnappers was also abducted and held hostage.
Sharing the men’s photo, he wrote,
“Alhamdulillah my uncle Musa Dikko was released after 5 months of been hostage, he was kidnapped along kaduna Abuja road, as you reunite with your family May Allah continue to guide and protect us from those merciless and evil people”.

Nigerian filmmaker, Ugezu Ugezu, has reacted to a viral video of a Mercedes Benz spotted on the road with plate number “Ego Obala” which literally means “Blood money”.
Ugezu shared the video on his official Instagram page and described plate number as “strange”. He also questioned why any sane person would register his car with the controversial phrase.

Robber arrested after falling asleep inside car he broke into
A suspected robber was apprehended after falling asleep in a car that he reportedly broke into in Palmview, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
According to a statement by Arrive Alive, the man was attempting to steal valuables inside the car when he seemingly decided to take a nap, which resulted in his arrest.
The incident reportedly occurred on Monday morning, March 14.
“KZN VIP was alerted to this after the resident noticed his vehicle had been broken into. The suspect was detained by KZN VIP and handed over to SAPS,” the statement reads.
In related news, Police in West Texas say a robbery suspect is in custody after he was caught snoozing at the scene.
According to Abilene police, Kanyoni Sedekiya, 20, was armed with a gun at his apartment complex early Friday when he argued with his roommate, whom he then bound as he demanded money.
Authorities say Sedekiya then fell asleep.
The roommate managed to get free around 4 a.m., slip away to a neighbor’s apartment and summon police as Sedekiya was sleeping. Sedekiya surrendered without incident.
Taylor County Jail records show the Abilene man was being held Sunday on an aggravated robbery charge, with bond set at $60K. Jail records do not list a defense attorney.
Unfortunately, this act of criminality and stupidity is not the only incident to have happened recently. In Harrison, Ohio, near Cincinnati, a thief broke into a home, made himself a snack, and fell asleep.
It happened while the people who live in the house were inside it. It was three in the morning on Saturday, March 11, and Doreen Snow woke up after falling asleep on the sofa, to see a man sleeping at her kitchen table.
“My boyfriend woke me up and asked me who the strange man was in our house and I had no idea who he was,” Doreen told WKRC in Cincinnati. “There was chocolate milk still on the table and a cheese stick and french fries and he had gotten into the cabinets and got paper plates out to eat on and cooked in my microwave and I was literally asleep like three foot away from him.”

Lady allegedly stabs ex-boyfriend to death over N3,000 gift from a yahoo boy
A 26-year-old lady, Oluwatoyin Joshua, has been arrested by men of the Lagos State police command for allegedly killing her ex-boyfriend over N3,000 in the Shangisa area of the state.
The spokesperson of the state police command, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, while parading the suspect before newsmen said that the money in dispute was given to them by a “Good Samaritan.”
The suspect who claimed to have regretted her action said that she killed her former boyfriend in self-defense.
“I am Oluwatoyin Joshua, I am 26 years old. On the day of the incident, I went to see Olayinka Adebayo who was my ex-boyfriend at the place, where he was selling hard drugs.
When one of his friends, Olalekan, an internet fraudster came and gave me N3,000. He was about travelling when he gave me the money. The guy (Olalekan asked me to take N1,000 and give my ex-boyfriend N2,000.”
After Olalekan gave me the money he left, I went to meet my ex-boyfriend and told him that his friend said I should give him N2,000, he said it was a lie that he owns the whole money.
I told him he cannot collect the whole money from me and I dropped his own N,2000 on the table. Thereafter, my ex-boyfriend picked the money, threw it back at me and he then called the guy that gave us the money.” The suspect told newsmen.
Speaking further, Oluwatoyin said,
“Before I knew what was happening, my ex-boyfriend started beating me. I went to report him to an elderly person in the area who warned him and I was advised to leave where he was staying and he was dragged away. After he was dragged away from my side, he came back to continue to beat me, it was in the process I went into the kitchen to pick up a knife to scare him.
While I was running away from him he hit me at the back of my head with a broken tile. I then stabbed him in the neck and he was rushed to the hospital where he later died two hours later. I was the one who paid his hospital bill.”
CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu said the suspect is in police custody while awaiting Legal Advice from DPP.

Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa has taken to Twitter to slam people who belittle her numerous achievements.
Her outburst was necessitated after a Twitter user named Ayomide questioned what she does for a living that makes her qualify to be called a celebrity.
“Kim Kardashian is a reality TV star. And she’s a global brand, socialite, model, and businesswoman. Please tell me what Toke does?” Olamide wrote.
Reacting, Toke lambasted the troll and asked him to google her name to see what she does. She went on to list some of her jobs and warned Nigerians to stop disrespecting her.

Let me help you small, I am a radio presenter, a television presenter, I have a pan African talk show the biggest talk show on Tv with an African audience Actor, Author, Vlogger, entrepreneur, and the list is endless. Nigerians should really stop disrespecting me.

She noted that she’s human and people dropping prescriptions of how they think she should run her life or family are starting to piss her off.

The doctor whose marriage to the professional dancer is on the verge of crashing, took to his Instastory to state that people who refuse to apologize when they hurt others are a bad sign.
According to him, this pertains to friendships, marriage and business relationships.

Media personality, Oloye has schooled popular singer Davido over his outburst on social media after a troll made an unflattering remark about his son, Ifeanyi.
The troll had insinuated that Ifeanyi is not the singer’s son, but his signee, Peruzzi’s son. This infuriated Davido and he lambasted the troll and seemingly threatened to deal with him. Read here
Reacting to his threat, Oloye took to the Twitter to berate the singer for responding to the troll, instead of ignoring his tweet.
According to him, trolls and insults comes with his status as a celerity and he shouldn’t have responded to it. He also chided him for threatening the troll because his die-hard fans can act on his threat and harm the troll.

Woman shares horrific ordeal after she boarded ‘one-chance’ bus in Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos
A Nigerian woman simply identified as Adunniade has narrated how she was dealt with by one chance operators in Lagos state.
TTaking to her Instagram page to recount the horrific incident, Adunniade, who lives in the Iyana-Ipaja area of Lagos state but works in Yaba, said she was on her way home from work on Thursday, March 10, when the incident occurred.
According to her, she boarded the bus going to Ipaja-Ayobo from Iyana Ipaja. She added that an elderly woman entered the bus, so she followed. But immediately after they got in, the men in the bus attacked her and the elderly woman, beating them and collecting all their valuables.
She said the chance bus passed a police checkpoint during the operation, but the men made her lie down on the floor of the bus and put a bag over her head. Adunni revealed that when she lost consciousness as a result of the torture she was revived with a blow.
