Abdulmalik Tanko, the proprietor of Noble Kids Academy in Kawaji, Kano state, while being paraded on Friday, January 21, confessed to killing five-year-old Hanifa Abubakar with rat poison.

In a video, serving rounds online, a popular Kano-based cleric, Malam Abdallah Gadon Kaya, asked that the self-confessed suspect be publicly executed.
“His (Tanko’s) life is not more than this girl’s life, the way he took her life, his life should be taken also and let it be done publicly so that another person wouldn’t repeat such.” The cleric said.
The first lady reposted the video on her Instagram page, and in her caption, noted that she supports the punishment the cleric prescribed for the late minor to get justice.

A Nigerian lady, identified as Pamela Adie, has taken to Twitter to warn Nigerians against visiting Mozambique as she narrated her terrible ordeal with their immigration officers.
She said before her trip, she researched on the country and discovered that they issue visa on arrival. However, when she got to Mozambique after a 22-hour flight, she was told that they don’t issue visa on arrival and she needed a letter which would take one month to process before she could enter the country.
Sadly, she was put on the next flight back to Nigeria without a reasonable explanation despite it being on their website that they issue visa on arrival on Nigerians.
Pamela took to Twitter to share her agitation against the East African country and told Nigerians to desist from visiting Mozambique because they are not friendly.
Read her lengthy post below,
“I left Lagos to Mozambique last week. I planned to be there for about a week and return to Nigeria. As I always do before travel, I researched travel & visa requirements. What I found for citizens of Nigeria is that we can get visa on arrival.
In fact, I couldn’t find any information on a Mozambican embassy or consulate in Nigeria, which let me to believe there isn’t any. The logistics officer and travel agent found the same information that I did: “Nigerians get visa on arrival”.
My boss even wrote a letter confirming my employment, including a return ticket, and hotel reservation confirmation directly from the hotel. All paid for. I was ready to go! Well, that was until I got to Mozambique after a 22hr flight time with @flyethiopian
The immigration officer asked for my passport, hotel, and return ticket. I provided those. Then she asked me for my visa. I didn’t understand why she was asking for that when everything we searched said “visa on arrival”. She insisted that yes I’ll get visa on arrival but I will have to provide a letter of invitation.
I asked where/who the letter was to come from. She said it has to come from the Mozambican embassy in my country inviting me. Her English wasn’t really great so I often asked her to repeat her questions, which I think angered her.
But nowhere did it state that. With all our research, we didn’t see that information anywhere. So I told her that. She insisted that I need the letter otherwise, I couldn’t enter. So I asked if there was an address she could provide; she didn’t. I asked if there is a website that shows this requirement. She didn’t. So how was I to find this information if she couldn’t show me. She then showed me a sample of the letter, which I couldn’t understand because it was in Portuguese. That’s all she did. Next thing, she put my passport aside and asked me to wait.
I asked her what I was waiting for, she angrily just said “wait!”. So I stepped aside. After a few minutes, a man appeared. Took my passport and asked me for the same letter. His English was better so we communicated. I explained the same thing again; “all information online says “visa on arrival”. He said yeah, that’s why I should have asked someone who has been to Mozambique before comingFlushed face. For a country trying to promote tourism, that’s a shitty thing to say and an even shittier travel policy. What happens to people like me who know no one like that?
He said he’s sorry, but that’s their policy. I asked what can be done, and he said nothing because it takes one month to get this letterFlushed face. And since I don’t have it, I’d have to go back to my country. Just like that. Then he left with my passport. Came back a few minutes later to ask if I had any luggage. I said yes; one suitcase. This was when I knew things were getting serious.
I asked the woman again if there was anything I could do to solve the problem. She didn’t respond or even look at me. But she took pictures of my passport page, RT ticket, Hotel reservation, and COVID test result..with her phone. I don’t know if she sent it to someone, but when I peeped at her phone, it looked like a WhatsApp message. Then she kept her phone down for about 15 minutes and checked again. Then called another staff.
That person escorted me to get my luggage. I still asked her if there was anything I could do, she said that’s their policy and I cannot enter if I don’t have this letter. So, there I was, in the airport, no internet, no way of reaching the outside world, and no information on how to solve this problem. I asked if I can use anyones phone to let my people waiting for me know what was happening. They just asked me to follow them.
We entered a waiting hall, that was when an officer from the airline appeared and gave me a new boarding pass. I looked at it and it was an economy class ticket. I told him I traveled business class, so why was I given an economy class ticket. He said I didn’t have a choice in the matter, he told me that my passport will be returned to me when I arrive Lagos, like I was some kind of criminal.
The plane I came in was about to return, and I was to get on it. But I didn’t want to leave without letting anyone know what happened. So one of the officers agreed to let me use his phone. I called someone in Mozambique to let them know and to let my boss know.
Then they escorted me to the plane. The flight attendant saw me and asked what happened, I told her and when I showed her my new economy class boarding pass, she asked me pick any Business Class seat I like. That was the silver lining in my ordeal.
I was so touched by the kindness because she didn’t have to. But she could see my disappointment, sadness, and anger, and probably thought to make it a bit more manageable for me. So, I resolved that whenever I can, I will fly @flyethiopian.
When got back to Addis, I wasn’t allowed to leave the airport cuz they wouldn’t release my passport. Despite the 12hr layover, they made me sleep on a metal chair in the airport over night. Such inhumane treatment for someone who isn’t a fugitive. That was so unnecessary.
That was how I retuned after a pointless journey over 3 days. Now, I don’t know if this was personal, or if this is the treatment they give Nigerians or anything like that. I don’t know. But it’s unfair and unwise to have a policy that people find out about AFTER they’ve arrived or by being lucky enough to know someone who has traveled there before and knows of their policy. This is such a diplomatic failure and a very poor tourism policy. As I type this, I haven’t been able to find a twitter handle for the Mozambican government.
Such information should not be something only a privileged few have, unless they’re intentionally not making information public to prevent certain unsuspecting people from entering their country. It makes absolutely no sense.
As it stands now, if I wanted to visit #Mozambique again, I have no idea how to proceed or how to get that letter. Imagine the number of people like who they have turned back. Imagine if my life depended on making this trip, or I planned to go somewhere else after #Maputo. Hmmm
Anyway, I wish I could give you information on how to prevent this from happening to you, but I can’t and that’s the most frustrating thing about all of this. All I can say for now is, don’t go to #Mozambique. They are not friendly at all…at least not to people like me.
The worst part is that I don’t know where to file my complaint for this injustice meted on me. What I have now is social media to sound the alarm and to warn others who might want to visit their godforsaken country. #Mozambique”

Angry youths have razed the school 5-year-old pupil, Hanifa Abubakar, was attending before she was abducted and killed by her proprietor, Abdulmalik Tanko.
Hanifa, a student of Noble Kids School in Kano, was kidnapped on December 2 by Tanko, who killed her with rat poison after receiving 6 million naira ransom from her parents and buried her in a shallow grave.
Her corpse was discovered and exhumed recently from where Tanko buried her. Following subsequent investigation and interrogation, Tanko confessed to the crime and is currently in police custody.
In a new development, aggrieved locals have set the school located at Kwanar Dakata in Nassarawa local government area of Kano, on fire.

Meanwhile, Kano State Government has on Friday, January 21, ordered the immediate closure of the private school, and locals have been urged to desist from taking laws into their hands.
Kris Asimonye, wife of popular comedian, Bovi, recently underwent an emergency surgery for an ectopic pregnancy which ruptured one of her fallopian tubes.
The mom of three took to social media to share this while expressing gratitude to God for saving her life despite all odds.
She shared a video of the moment she was wheeled out of the theatre and narrated her ordeal which occurred on Friday January 14th.
Kris wrote,
“I had packed up my luggage preparing for my flight back to Lagos the next day being Saturday.
But then I woke up with an excruciating pain. I couldn’t move, I couldn’t even turn, I had to stay still to control the pain.
I typically have a high threshold for pain. A very, very, very high threshold for pain, but this was even beyond labour pain.
I couldn’t control it, I reluctantly called my husband. He had asked me to go to the hospital several times in the days leading up to this moment.
30 minutes later, this pain still wouldn’t go away. My husband again, asked me to go to the hospital but I said no.
“I’ll be fine don’t worry, tomorrow I’m back home”. I have a 10 O’clock at David’s school, I can’t miss it.”
I took some pain killers, and it seemed like the pain was finally beginning to go down. I could stand upright at this point.
About an hour later, I started to feel like I was going to pass out.
I called 999 but I couldn’t speak, then I passed out. Somehow, I miraculously woke up to numerous missed calls from the emergency service.
I got up, put on my wig and found myself heading to see my son in school whilst in pain. I had genuinely assumed the pain had subsided.
I promised I’d see my son by 10am and I wasn’t going to disappoint him, so I pushed my pain aside, ordered a taxi & found myself limping to his school.
The minute David’s school nurse saw me, she could tell that I wasn’t okay. God used this lady to force me into a car and she specifically asked the driver to take me straight to the hospital.
2 hours later, I passed out again while waiting to see the doctor and the nurses were not even aware of what was going on.
By the time I got back into the GP’s office, she was going to send me home. All the tests done for signs of infections came back negative and the last bit was to do a scan “There’s no opening for a scan for you today, they are fully booked, you’ll have to come back tomorrow”.
I responded with the little strength I had left; I can’t go home without seeing the doctor. I just fainted again, I had fainted twice today.
She placed a call to the gynecologist and the next thing I heard was; get her a wheel chair and take her to the gynecology & maternity ward.
God did it!! Suddenly, they said I could do a scan same day…..
The report;
“I’m sorry you have an ectopic pregnancy and it’s ruptured in one of your tubes. You are bleeding in your tummy.
You have to go into surgery immediately”
In a matter of minutes, they were prepping me for surgery. COVID test, setting up a line, just movements in and out of the room ….
I couldn’t process what was going on. I needed strength at that point, I couldn’t even pray. I couldn’t call anyone because the last thing I wanted was panic. So it was just Bovi, and 2 of my friends (Nwando & Kaine) who already knew what was going on.
For the first time in my life, I really craved for strength. And it was beyond physical strength.
I was physically, emotionally & mentally drained. Nwando and her mum had rushed down to the hospital the minute I told her, Bovi was in panic & I.. I just hoped in God.
Before I was wheeled into the theatre, all I could say was; “I am going to come out alive and stronger.”
I testify today of God’s faithfulness to me. I am grateful to be alive. I am grateful to be well, and most of all, I am very grateful to have good people, a strong support system around me.
“This new year, I am alive and well and I’d be back home to my family and this party called life; soon “

@Eederah_ claims that his brother’s wife-to-be, after the money was deposited into her account, used it to process her visa and travel out of the country.
His tweet reads,
”My brother deposited 3million Naira into his wife to be account in preparation for their marriage. The girl use the money to process Visa and travelled out ”
As expected, a couple of tweeps reacted to his claim — while a couple of them found his tweet hard to believe given that the sum of money might not be enough to get someone out of the country, others wondered why his said brother couldn’t keep the money himself.
