A heartbreaking video of late five-year-old pupil, Hanifa Abubakar, who was murdered by her school teacher has been shared online.

It was earlier reported that Hanifa was kidnapped and killed by her school teacher, one Abdulmalik Mohammed Tanko, in Kano last December, despite having collected part of the N6 million ransom.

Her corpse was discovered and exhumed few days ago at the location where he had buried her remains.

The school teacher who has been arrested by the Kano State Police Command and is currently in their custody, has now disclosed that he killed her with N100 rat poison.

Before her tragic death, the innocent little girl was filmed asking everyone to protect themselves, and the heart wrenching video is currently making rounds on social media.

“We should protect ourselves, we should follow the rules,We should protect our health Arewa24 is our own.” she is quoted as saying

A Nigerian Twitter user has shared his chat with his neighbor, who asked if he’s gay because she’s never seen any female visit him in his house since he moved in.

According to him, he and the female neighbor who accosted him to ask about his sexuality have the barest minimum relationship in the compound.

“I know it’s none of my business, but since you moved in, you haven’t had any female visitors, only males. I was wondering if you are gay”. She asked him.

Femi Otedola promises to give Super Eagles $250,000 if they win AFCON 2021

Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola has promised to give the Super Eagles team $250,000 if they win the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

His promise was disclosed by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, who represented CACOVID during a visit to the team’s camp in Cameroon.

He also said CACOVID will reward them with $120,000 for the six goals they scored in the group stage of the tournament – $20,000 per goal.

He further noted that they have increased the reward to $50,000 per goal in the round of 16.

His words,

“I came with a message from the CACOVID. The CACOVID is the coalition of private-sector companies that was set up to fight COVID-19 in Nigeria and they have been happy with the performance of the team,” Emefiele said.

“During the meeting, I had with the captain (Ahmed Musa) and the coach (Austin Eguavoen), I delivered a message from CACOVID and the message is that, for every goal that is scored, the team will receive the naira equivalent of $20,000 so far, you have earned for yourself the naira equivalent of $120,000.

“We held a CACOVID meeting again because everyone is overjoyed for everything you’ve done so far, CACOVID has asked me to raise the ante.

“From the round of 16, for every goal scored, you will earn for yourselves as a team the naira equivalent of $50,000.

It was indeed a moment of celebration for the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, as his daughter, Adedoja Adeyemi, emerges as the best graduating Masters Student from the University of Lagos.

The Princess graduated with a distinction (4.63/5.0 GPA) from the department of History and international studies, under the Institute of African and Diaspora Studies.

Suraj Sulaiman, the uncle of the 5-year-old pupil who was allegedly abducted and killed by her schoolteacher has recounted how the suspect cried bitterly when he visited the family for condolence.

It was earlier reported that the Kano State Police Command apprehended a school teacher, one Abdulmalik Mohammed Tanko, for abducting and killing his 5-year-old pupil, Hanifa Abubakar, despite collecting part of the N6m ransom he demanded.

Hanifa was abducted at Kawaji, in Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Spokesperson of the command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the arrest in a statement on Thursday, January 20, revealed that Tanko, the proprietor of a private school, poisoned the child to death on December 18, after she recognized him.

Speaking of the arrest, Hanifa’s uncle revealed that Tanko was among the first group of people who came to sympathize with the aggrieved family following her abduction.

“He was full of tears when he visited the family to console them over the abduction,” Sulaiman, the victim’s uncle said.

In a post shared on Facebook by the Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor, Amb Ahmed Umar Bolori, he said the man got married to his househelp because his wife frequently travels out of the country for business and hardly has time to take care of him and their six children.

A video serving rounds online has shown the moment a woman confronted a man for sexually harassing her on a bus.

In the video which found its way to the internet, the lady brings out the pepper spray after the man who sat next to her on the bus was touching her inappropriately.

When confronted, the man said he was touching her because he cared. He went on to say that her anklet was a sign that she was available.

According to him, wearing a leg chain means “I’m married but available.”

He asked her to put away the pepper spray and stated that “he has money and will make her happy“.

The lady, who was clearly not having any of it, scolded him and demanded that he first use the money to take care of himself because he needs help.

In related news, there was quite a drama in a bus in Lagos recently after a lady went wild and fought dirty after she was allegedly sexually harassed by a co-passenger.

Unfortunately, it was the lady who fought back after a co-passenger allegedly sexually harassed her that was left behind as the bus driver drove off.

Sharing the video, an Instagram user @Tolulopelonge wrote, “The craziest thing happened today. This woman claimed the man touched her and just went berserk in the bus. Conductor and passengers had to find a way to discharge her”.

Nollywood actress, Chizoba Nwokoye, has taken to social media to call out her PA, Success Bright, for allegedly stealing her car, all the money in her bank account and taking over monetized YouTube account.

Taking to her Instagram page to call out the suspect amid tears, Chizoba noted that she entrusted Success Bright with her passwords and valuables since he was her PA.

She claimed he stole her ATM card wiped her bank account leaving her with only fifty-five naira.

According to her, the incident happened while she was at a movie set.

She begged members of the public with information that can lead to the suspect’s arrest to reach out to her.

“Pls help me and repost 💔💔💔😭😭😭😭 he get mind log me out of my monetized YouTube channel and changed password after stealing my money 😭💔💔💔”. She wrote.

Her colleague, Chioma Nwaoha wrote, “WANTED ! WANTED ! WANTED…This is Evil and heart breaking please anyone with this boy information should Dm @chizoba_nwokoye The thief Instagram handle is @successful7344”.

Veteran Nollywood actress, Eucharia Anunobi, has berated Nigerians who build magnificent houses in their villages where they rarely stay.

In a video she shared on her Instagram page, the thespian said that it’s a waste of money to spend so much money on building a house in a place where one rarely stays.

She suggested that rather than building palatial houses in the village, people should build estates and lease the houses out at a subsidized rate. According to her, in that way, they’re helping humanity.

“You may not like it but that’s truth…You go and sink in your village where you rarely stay house, houses or an empire that you’re spending billions to build where you and your family will rarely stay. Is that not foolishness?” She asked.

Eucharia Anunobi questioned the sanity of such people.

According to her, there’s no point in buying cars worth millions of naira to impress people when one is living in a rented apartment.

She advised them to use the money to buy or build a house, instead of splurging it on a luxurious car.

The 56-year-old actress who also tackled people who spend heavily on ‘aso-ebi’, advised her followers to be financially responsible in 2022.
