A Twitter user who is in search for an apartment in Lagos state has taken to the platform to share photos of a house he was shown.
The house has a narrow hallway that can barely take a fat person and will be definitely be impossible for two people to pass at the same time.
Sharing the photos of the house, the prospective tenant lamented how Lagos landlords build houses without considering the comfort of the people that will live there.
“Lagos houses are built to frustrate you”, he captioned the photos.

A Twitter user has taken to the platform to lament bitterly after he sent a MacBook Pro from London to Nigeria, only for the receiver to find a doll in the package.
According to the man identified as Victor on the micro-blogging platform, he bought the laptop for over 700,000 Naira and paid an extra N55,000 to clear the package at Nigeria customs office.
However, when the package got to the receiver and opened, a doll was found in the box rather than a laptop.
Narrating the bizarre incident on Twitter, Victor wrote,
“I sent a MacBook Pro from London, UK to Nigeria and the receiver got a baby doll…. Nigeria custom billed me 55k for clearance. Whooping 55k to clear a doll? Nah! A laptop worth over 700k naira”.

“My flight from Jos to Lagos was scheduled for 12pm but I got to the airport at about 11am only to be told the flight was rescheduled to 10am and it had left as at my arrival time at the airport. I didn’t want to spend an extra day in Jos so I called the office to book a flight from Abuja to Lagos for me so I could travel by road to Abuja to connect with the flight to Lagos. I took a cab from the park in Jos and we headed to Abuja as planned.
We were about 35km into Abuja when all of a sudden I became restless. I was seated at the back and for some weird reasons, I told the driver to park and allow me seat at the front. We had barely moved 400m when I noticed the car was jerking profusely and I asked the driver what was wrong with the car.
He said it was the nozzle and I told him to park let’s check what was wrong. Instead of parking, he called someone on the phone, presumably a mechanic as he was speaking Hausa which I didn’t understand but I remember he kept mentioning nozzle.
The car that left Jos in perfect condition was completely burnt in an instant. While I was seated at the back, I used the seatbelt and because people hardly use the back seat belt, it was a bit rusty and difficult to unhook at the time I switched my seat.
It was God that made me feel uncomfortable as I probably wouldn’t have switched my seat neither would I have noticed the jerking car which in turn made the driver place a call that reduced his speed & allowed the other road user to catch up and alert us.
When fire starts, the seat belt becomes very difficult to unhook. Now imagine if I was trapped at the back seat with my seatbelt on? I couldn’t sleep for 3 good days as I kept imagining how things could have gone south if not for God.”

A Nigerian lady took to Twitter to narrate how she was almost sexually violated by a stranger who offered her a ride when it was raining heavily during closing hours in the ever busy Lagos city.
In a series of tweets on her page, she narrates how she was stuck in the rain on the roadside and a stranger who saw her from his car, offered to give her a ride, which she accepted… but what seemed as a kind gesture later turned south during the course of the ride and the encounter according to the lady identified as @nimigeorge_, has been one that’s left her traumatized over the past few days.

This is my story.
On Thursday, 11th November, 2021, after work, I was standing in the rain at about 6pm when an SUV pulled over to offer me a ride. I accepted, it was a short ride from Maryland bus stop to Ojota. 10 mins into the ride (there was little traffic), he said he didn’t like the way he felt whenever it rained. I was asking questions trying to understand what he meant but he couldn’t explain himself.
Few minutes later, he’s like “look, this is what I mean”. He brought out his pen*s! I was so frightened & was wondering if he was going to hurt me but I choose to be calm. I began to talk about seeing again and exchanging numbers instead. My heart was racing, hoping that technique would work for me.
He soon pulled over at ForU terminal, just before Ojota bus stop and said I should help him out with his erection. I tried to open the door but it was locked. He said if I couldn’t touch him, I should at least look at him while he masturbates. He even asked if I was married & I said yes (though I’m not), but it didn’t change anything.
I was able to convince him that we could see another time and he gave me his phone number. When I got off the car, I was too terrified to take pictures, plus it was still raining heavily. I walked down to Ojota bus stop from there thanking God that he didn’t drive away with me.

I have screenshots of our chat where he admitted to the crime and a 20min voice recording of the call I made to him on whatsapp on the 16th. I put the call on speakers and recorded with another phone. I feel violated. I’m still terrified. I have not been sleeping and eating well, and as a result I’ve lost at least 3kg in the last one week.
My anxiety has heightened and I find myself having panic attacks when I remember the incident or when I’m close to or around the location of the incident.
