Cynthia Obi-Uchendu, wife of Big Brother Naija host Ebuka, yesterday revealed that she couldn’t “stand” her husband while he was a housemate on the maiden edition of the show.

A couple have been arrested by the Kano State Police Command for kidnapping a day-old baby from a hospital in the state.
It was gathered that the 22-year-old woman, Maryam Sadiq and her husband, Abubakar Sadiq, abducted a baby boy from the Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital, Kano state.
Spokesperson of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, in a statement on Friday, September 10, revealed Maryam abducted one of newborn male twins when their aunt fell asleep while looking after them.
According to Kiyawa, the couple who seem to be desperate to have a male child in their family, threw a lavish party to celebrate after stealing the baby boy.
Upon questioning the woman claimed that she carried out the act under the influence of her husband who was desperate for a male child.
“On the 08/09/2021, at about 0300hrs, one Rabi’u Muhammad, ‘m’, of Gayawa Quarters, Ungogo LGA Kano, reported that on the same day at about 0130hrs, one of his newly-born male twin babies was missing.
“He said his wife delivered of the twins on the 07/09/2021 at Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital Kano and was admitted. That his sister in-law who was looking after the babies at the corridor of the Maternity ward slept off. She woke up and did not see the child.
“Upon receiving the report, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, fsi, raised and instructed a team of detectives led by SP Daniel Itse Amah to rescue the victim and arrest the culprits
“The team immediately stormed the scene and launched a search. The Hospital was sealed off and thoroughly combed, but the child could not be found immediately
“Sustained efforts coupled with intelligence sharing led to the arrest of one Maryam Sadiq, ‘f’, 22 years old, and her husband one Abubakar Sadiq, ‘m’, 50 years old, all of Rijiyar Zaki Quarters, Kano. The Child was recovered from them in their home”.
“On preliminary investigation, Maryam confessed that the child was taken away from Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital Kano and that she carried out the act under the influence of her husband who has been longing a male child
“Before their arrest, the suspects were said to have thrown a party to celebrate the arrival of a male child in their family, which triggered doubts since neighbours knew Maryam was not pregnant
“Meanwhile, the new born baby has been re-united with his parents. The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, fsi (Nagari-Nakowa) ordered that the case be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Command for discreet investigation. Suspects will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.” the statement reads.

The reality star who recently welcomed his first child with his wife, Khafi recently shared a photo of himself on his Instagram page.
Reacting to the photo Kemi Oluloyo teased the father of one about fatherhood, while referring to his son as her grandson.

Reality TV star, Chris Adah has opined that women who openly say they won’t leave their husbands over infidelity are only pretending.
The Ultimate Love star, in a post she shared on her Instastory, stated that in most cases, their husbands are already cheating on them and saying “they won’t leave him for cheating on them” is part of their coping mechanism.
According to her, such women are slowly dying on the inside from the pain of knowing their husbands are cheating on them, but will pretend that they are cool with it on social media.
This comes after Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing and Grace Makun, wife of celebrity fashion designer, Yomi Casual, revealed that cheating is not a deal breaker for them and they can never divorce their husbands over infidelity.

Former BBNaija Season 6 housemate, Kayvee has opened up on why he voluntarily withdrew from the reality show.
It can be recalled that Kayvee real name Ololade Olajide, left the show barely 2 weeks after he was introduced as a new housemate because he had a mental breakdown.
Speaking in a recent interview with Saturday Beats, the 25-year-old photographer revealed that he felt unwanted by his fellow housemates and found it hard to blend in.
According to him, he felt like an outsider so he deliberately reduced his interactions with the other housemates which sadly, triggered his mental health crisis.
His words, “One of the reasons I couldn’t blend in quickly was because some of the housemates had bonded already before I came in, so I felt like an outsider. It was hard for me to blend in because they had created their cliques, then I came in like a random person that was trying to fit into a society.”
Kayvee added, “I can’t pinpoint the time I felt like I could not continue the show anymore. What really happened was that while I was getting to know the housemates, it looked like I was talking too much. I was hearing rumours in the house that I was beginning to talk too much, so I had to restrain myself from talking too much. I didn’t want it to seem like I was trying to steal the show from them. That’s one of the reasons I was triggered. They did not really accept who I was.”
Speaking on how he regained his confidence after the show, Kayvee saidd,
“A lot of people said they cried when I left the house. It’s not bad for them to be sad but they knew I had to put myself first. Some people had banners on their cars just because of me and that made me so happy. It was one of the things that restored my self-confidence.”

A 400 level student of a University in Ghana, Abdul Majeed Sani has reportedly died while celebrating after his final exams.
It was gathered that Sanni a final year student of the department of Health, Physical, Education, at the University of Education, Winneba, (UEW) was doing acrobatic jumps when he fell to his death.
In a video that found it’s way to the internet, Sani who was in company of his colleagues gave the jump a first trial which was successful, but on his second move, he suffered severe trauma to the head after landing on his face.
The victim was immediately rushed to the Trauma and Specialist Hospital at Winneba for treatment and later transferred to a hospital in Accra where he died on Thursday, September 9, two days after the fall.
The final year student died two days after the fall and the Student Representative Council of the institution have released a statement confirming his death.

Businesswoman, Blessing Osom otherwise known as Lady Golfer, has reacted to allegations of being the girlfriend of former Akwa Ibom state governor, Godswill Akpabio.
A Journalist had taken to social media to allege that the politician looted N215 billion from a commission he heads and would be chilling with his girlfriend, Blessing Osom, at an Abuja Hotel.
He also alleged that Godswill gave the businesswoman $50k to stir a social media controversy against Emmanuel Udom, the current governor of Akwa Ibom State.
Reacting to this, Ossom in a now deleted post, warned the journalist against insulting her with a meagre $50k because she makes a lot of money daily.

A 31-year-old Nigerian woman identified as Amenze Rita, has allegedly been shot dead by her Italian husband.
According to reports, Amenze was killed in front of her colleagues in the parking lot of Mf Mushroom, a company where she worked on Friday morning, September 10, in Noventa Vicentina.
It was reported that the suspect, Pierangelo Pellizzar, 61, laid an ambush for the deceased at around 7:30am and shot her four times, killing her instantly.
After killing Amenze, he reportedly escaped from the crime scene aboard a grey Cherokee Jeep which was later found abandoned at his brother’s house.
However, the carabinieri are currently on hunt for the suspect, who is said to armed and dangerous. Italian media are reporting that Amenze was killed because she filed for a divorce after she returned from Nigeria a week ago.

The actor who has been nicknamed General Pere by viewers had a little chitchat with Liquorose and Angel on Friday night, where he revealed that he fell in love with the Dubai realtor specifically because of her personality.

THE Police in Enugu State has launched investigation into the case of its officer caught in a viral video assaulting a young woman.
In the video, the policeman is heard calling the woman a prostitute.
According to reports, the incident happened at a checkpoint in Obeagu Awkunanaw, along Agbani Road, on September 8.
