A Nigerian man, identified as Eguveso Enifomee, has taken to social media to lament after a DNA test allegedly revealed that the girl he thought was his daughter, is not his.

Enifome, in a video he shared on his Facebook page, revealed that the young lady claimed the baby girl was his when she was 2 years old. According to him, he was sceptical about being the girl’s father but he still accepted her and began to play his role as her dad.

However, he decided to carry out a DNA test to prove that he is truly her biological father. When the result came back, he discovered that he is not the father of the little girl.

Sharing a photo of the DNA test, he wrote, “After a DNA confirmation from western hospital Warri to the United States of America this child is NoT MY child”

In the video he shared, the disappointed man said,

“I have always said it from day one that the possibility of this child being mine is very low because when she was pregnant I was not aware. She was pregnant, two or three years later that she came saying she is your child. I was the one who even reach out to her to say I heard you have given birth. She said ”It is your child”. I was like ‘ which dirty child?’. She said a pastor told her that the father would ask of her.

I agree when we were in school we were together for sometime. She was not dating only me. We were many. I was just a side nigga, She had a boyfriend.

When she was pregnant, I was not aware. Two years later she came saying she was my child. She took the baby to my dad, my dad accepted., saying the child resembled me.”

400 level UNILORIN student commits suicide after two failed attempts

A 400 level student of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Elijah Jude Anuoluwapo has reportedly committed suicide.

It’s said that this is Elijah’s third attempt at taking his own life and unfortunately he succeeded this time.

According to report, the 26-year-old died on died on Thursday morning, August 26th, at the hospital where he was rushed to by his colleagues for medical attention.

It was gathered that the deceased consumed illicit drug substances.

Close friends of the deceased noted that he was a very brilliant student and his reason for attempting suicide multiple times was over alleged rejection by members of his immediate family after the death of his mother.

“His father had abandoned his mother since she was carrying Jude’s pregnancy which later led to his mother’s death out of depression.

“Jude was a very brilliant student and even one of the very best with mastery of languages in the whole of the university campus. Many of us pleaded with him and even referred him to the school counselling unit after the second unsuccessful attempt which was about three weeks ago.

“It came to our surprise that he later proceeded with another attempt around 8:15 pm Wednesday evening. We actually tried to save his life as usual, but to no avail, as he finally gave up the ghost earlier today in the hospital. If he didn’t die, he should have been one of the very best writers of the next generation.” Elijah’s friend told Tribune

EFCC arrests a man who impersonated them to defraud ‘yahoo boys’.

Anti-graft agency, The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos Zonal Command, have arrested a man identified as Ladeji Kelvin Babatunde for allegedly obtaining over N38million from suspected internet fraudsters in order to prevent their arrest by the Commission.

According to a post on the EFCC’s official page, the defendant allegedly impersonated officers of the Commission and obtained the sum of money by false pretence from the suspected cybercriminals.

Upon his arrest, a four-bedroom uncompleted apartment located at Ikola Road, Alagbado, Lagos, which was developed with the proceeds of the perpetrated fraud, was recovered from him.

Nigeria has won her first gold medal at the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, thanks to powerlifter, Latifat Tijani.

Latifat came top place in the women’s 45kg powerlifting on Thursday, August 26, after defeating China’s Zhe Cui to lift 107kg.

She was a gold medalist at the Brazzaville 2015 Africa Games and silver medalist at the Rio 2016 Paralympics.

Brume jumped 6.97 metres with her very first jump to claim bronze just behind America’s Brittney Reese’s 6.97m, who came second, and Germany’s Maliaka Mihambo’s 7.00m, who came first.

This is Nigeria’s first track and field medal at the Olympic Games since 2008 when Okagbare won a silver medal in Beijing.

Brume, who is the African record holder in the women’s Long Jump event, leapt to a distance of 6.76m, 1cm more than the required mark to seal her place in the final on Sunday.

She finished with the fourth overall best jump among the finalists before going into the finals on Tuesday to win Nigeria’s first medal.

The woman identified as Immaculate Nantongo and her ex-husband who have two children together revealed they are celebrating friendship, co parenting and maturity between them.

In photos from the dinner shared on social media the ex-couple had a ‘happily divorced’ cake to celebrate that their divorce has been finalized after 6 years of separation.

A young Nigerian lady has come under heavy fire on social media after she claimed that she would leave her husband on her wedding day, to follow Wizkid to his home if he ever attends her wedding.

The lady identified as @IamKylaSamuel on Twitter who seem to be a staunch fan of Grammy award winner, Wizkid noted that if she’s lucky to have the singer at her wedding she would gladly leave her husband and follow him home.

“If Wizkid comes to my wedding, I’ll follow him home and see my husband after 2 weeks,” she tweeted.

The Tweet was not well received by tweeps who dragged her to filth.

A Twitter user @ganry20 wrote, “Imagine your future husband seeing your tweets? then you say “its just a tweet” . basically you showing the world who you really are.This is how companies make money from your thoughts and cravings online. but its not that deep right ?”

Big Brother Naija star, Nengi Hampson has bagged a movie role with legendry Nigerian actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD).

Taking to her official Instagram to share the news with her fans and followers alongside a photo with RMD on a movie set, she wrote,

“Guess who got another amazing opportunity to work with the LEGEND @mofedamijo .. In an actual movie this time.. I’m Blown .. Grateful .”

Big Brother Naija season 6 housemate, Michael has stated that fellow housemates, Angel and JMK act like they don’t want to be in the house.

Michael said this on Wednesday, August 25, during his diary session with Biggie when he was asked why he nominated the two ladies for possible eviction.

According to him, he nominated Angel and JMK because they don’t take tasks seriously and mostly act like they don’t want to be in the house.

In his words,

“I nominated Angel because she doesn’t participate in housemates tasks, she’s one of the slowest persons when we’re doing activities

“She’s either slow or sleeping off during one of these activities in the house and that gave me the energy that she doesn’t want to be in the house.

“JMK is also similar to Angel because I get the energy that she doesn’t want to be in the house, it was nothing personal.”

Nollywood actress, Destiny Etiko and her colleagues, survived a fatal car accident on their way from actor, Stanley Okoro’s burial.

The late actor passed away on Wednesday, August 11, from suspected food poisoning and his colleagues went to his hometown to pay him their last respect.

However, while returning from the burial, some of his colleagues including Destiny Etiko and movie producer, Prince Kevin Uvo, were involved in a car accident, thankfully, they all survived the crash.

The actress shared photos and a video of the dented car on her Instastories and thanked God for preserving their lives.
