A Nigerian man, simply identified as Dr Okparaku, has shared his inspiring story on social media after he acquired a new home in Canada.
According to him, he first stayed in a one-room apartment and worked small jobs to survive and sponsor his education when he initially migrated to the North American country.
Dr Okparaku, who is now the latest homeowner in Canada, encouraged people to celebrate their small wins because the little efforts will eventually pay off with God on their side.
Sharing a photo of the house, he wrote,
– I started in this country in a 1 room apartment.
– Hustled small jobs to eat and pay school fees
Trekked in the rain, sun and cold
Celebrate your small wins and with God on your side, you will make progress in life.
A teenage girl who became pregnant at age 13 and claimed that her 10-year-old boyfriend was responsible, is expecting another child.
The Russian girl, identified as Darya Sudnishnikova, from Zheleznogorsk in Krasnoyarsk Krai, broke the internet last year following news of her pregnancy.
Darya had claimed her boyfriend Ivan, who was 10 at the time and still in primary school, impregnated her. However, she later confessed that she was raped by another 14-year-old boy.
She gave birth to a healthy baby girl, named Emilia, in August 2020 at the age of 14.
In a new development, Darya who is now 15, said she recently took a pregnancy test and discovered that she is 6 weeks pregnant.
Speaking on a Telegram online channel, the distraught schoolgirl broke down in tears and said; “The father of this child is Maksim (her 17-year-old boyfriend), because for the past five or maybe even eight months I have had no other sexual partner.”
“I don’t know what to do, I really do not.
I cannot decide on an abortion, because I do not know exactly how many weeks.
If it is really six weeks, it is already a foetus
But I cannot have this baby because I clearly realise that I am unable to raise another child.
I already have one. I will not have any time for the second one,” she added.
Darya revealed that her mother and boyfriend were infuriated by the news.
Speaking about her mother’s reaction, Darya said, <em>”She was deeply shocked and said: ‘Shall I beat you with a belt or…?’ I said – ‘No, please’.
Then she asked, ‘Who is the father?’ I said ‘Maksim’.”
She said her mother told her to take another pregnancy test and it also came out positive.
She also revealed that her boyfriend insulted her when he found out about the pregnancy. Darya reposted a message she received from her boyfriend which reads, “You are so stupid… You got pregnant and claim this is my child. You do not have brains at all…”

Serving overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has spoken up against the Buhari-led administration.
While preaching in his church recently, the popular clergyman recounted how he supported Buhari to get to where he is today, but he doesn’t listen to him anymore because he now has “smelly mouth”.
Pastor Bakare, who was Buhari’s running mate in the 2011 presidential election, cited how biblical prophets rose up against bad governments and said he’s no longer interested in meeting or having a dialogue with anyone because “this is war”.
He also dared the president to come after him “since that is his usual style”.
He said;
“Sovereignty is not in your hand anymore, you are commander-in-chief of nothing, except the people put you there. The highest office in the land is the office of the citizen. Nigerians are going to rise and demand for their rights.

Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has revealed that he stays in a three bedroom apartment in Aba, commercial capital of the state.
The Governor, who is expected to be living in the Government House in Umuahia, disclosed this while speaking with journalists on Monday, July 26.
According to him, he chose to live among his people because he wanted to imagine life outside power.
“I have spent time in my lodge in Aba. It is a three-bedroom apartment. I don’t know how many governors can reside in this kind of place.
“But I stay here because I want to keep my eyes on the fact that I’m the Governor today, but I will not be the Governor tomorrow.
“I won’t take myself too far away from how I live my life. I will work hard to the point that somebody coming after me will find it difficult to operate unless he is running on this same lane.”
Ikpeazu also addressed the subject of who will succeed him in the forthcoming general election in 2023. He said only God can decide because nobody believed he would also become governor in 2015 but God surprised everyone.

A married woman has taken to social media to cry for help after her husband’s side chick threatened her to stay away from her man ( her own husband).
The mother of three alleged that the side chick came to her office to warn her to stay away from her own husband and father of her kids.

The Police Command in Yobe has revealed that it had arrested four suspects in connection with the killing of one Hassan Abubakar, who was a staff of a commercial bank.
The Command’s Spokesman, ASP Dungus Abdulkarim, revealed this in a statement in Damaturu on Monday, July 26 where he gave the identities of the suspects as, Umar Shaibu, 21, Tajjuddeen Taufiq, 20, Ismail Mohammed, 17, and Bulama Modu, 17.
He stated that the suspects were apprehended following a report by a colleague of the deceased, Abubakar Musa, who said that Hassan didn’t report for duty and efforts to trace his whereabouts proved abortive.
“Consequently, detectives swung into action and his home and premises were searched and bl*od stains were observed on the floor with some iron rods covered with blood, probably used in the commission of the offence. On July 24, 2021 the principal suspect, Shaibu, who happened to be the house help of the victim, was arrested while carting away valuable items from the victim’s house.
Upon interrogations, he confessed to the crime, stating that on July 22, 2021, he and three other suspects attacked the victim in his house. They robbed him of money but ended up killing the victim, buried the corpse in the compound and fled. The following day, they began to sell the property until they were eventually nabbed by the police,” Abulkarim explained.

It was earlier reported that the 9-year-old suspect responsible for the fire that ravaged the supermarket on Saturday, July 17, was arrested by the police.
The minor was nabbed after a CCTV footage captured the moment she tampered with the gas section in the supermarket located at Lokogoma, Abuja, and started the fire which destroyed goods worth over N5 billion.

This is coming after Bolu addressed the controversy that arose after he came out as a gay man.
He had an Instagram live session where he vehemently kicked against the anti-gay law and stated that some of the legislators who signed the law are gay themselves.

One of the 11 female housemates of Big Brother Naija: Shine Ya Eye edition, Jackie B opened up on her journey as a young mother and some of the challenges she faced.
The 29-year-old single mother of one from Adamawa state melted the heart of many when she owned up to having her first child as a teenager.
According to her, she had her son, Nathan Jacqui Bent at age 19 with her first boyfriend. While she introduced herself to other housemates, she noted that her mother was supportive all through her journey of pregnancy and child birth.
In her words,
“I had my son when I was 19 years old. In 2010, I had my first sex with my first boyfriend and I got pregnant for him, it was a tough time but now I have the most amazing son who is like my best friend.
My mum was supportive while I was pregnant and didn’t disown me at that time. My son is 10-year-old and made this journey easy for me.”
Some hoodlums who have been suspected to be cultists reportedly killed a new graduate and caused many others to sustain injuries after they attacked Shoprite Mall along Ring Road, Ibadan on Sunday night, July 25, 2021.
An eyewitness, who preferred anonymity, spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday July 26, in Ibadan. According to the witness, the deceased identified as Akinola Babatunde, was shot dead by the hoodlums at the entrance gate of the mall.
The witness revealed that people at the mall at the time, began running helter-skelter after the miscreants struck which led to the injury of an unspecified number of persons.
The witness stated that the attempt by the hoodlums to use the opportunity to break the glass door of the mall to loot was unsuccessful.
He said the quick appearance of security operatives further prevented the hoodlums from gaining access into the mall.
“I suspect those boys were members of rival cult group, trying to prove superiority here at the mall,” the witness said.
“The incident started at a Club inside the Shoprite around 8:30 p.m. and those hoodlums later pushed themselves to the entrance gate where one person was killed,” the witness said.
Spokesperson of the Oyo State Police Command, Adewale Osifeso, who confirmed the incident on Monday, said it was a case of ‘cult related violence” and investigation is ongoing.
“The incident occurred; comprehensive investigations are ongoing to apprehend all the culprits involved; update will be provided in due course,” Mr Osifeso stated.
Nigerian actress and founder of ROK TV, Mary Remmy Njoku has defended Big Brother Naija season six housemate, Angel, after the latter has been subjected to heavy bodyshaming on social media over the nature of her bosoms.
During the launch show last Sunday night, Angel was the first female housemate to be introduced to viewers for the Shine Ya Eye edition of the reality TV show — appearing on stage, Angel donned a rather revealing dress which had a plunging neckline that had her boobs on display.
This resulted to her being heavily bodyshamed on social media with a number of people having one or two derogatory things to say about her body.
In reaction to this, actress Mary Remmy Njoku asked the guys who are bodyshaming Angel if their mother’s breasts haven’t fallen too.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD has taken to his social media page to dish out a piece of veritable advice to the youths as regards believing in themselves in order to go far in life.
The movie lord took to his Instagram page with over 2 million followers to stress the importance for young people to believe in their capability to make things work.
According to RMD, when a youth finally develop that spirit of self-confidence, everything will automatically begin to move swiftly for him or her.
In his words ;
“One of the greatest things you could ever do in your life is to wholeheartedly and unrelentlessly believe in yourself.
I tell young people, it takes a lot of courage to become someone that you can count on.
it takes alot of strength to become someone who will always believe in you.
But when you do, your entire world will shift. Suddenly, many things will become possible simply because you truly believe in your own strength.”
A video circulating on social media shows a Nigerian pastor urging his congregants to “bribe his angels” so his prayers can speedily work for them.
According to him, he needs money to facilitate his ministry work so anyone who gives to the cause will be supernaturally blessed. He gave this condition as a sure way of partaking of the blessing and grace he carries.
Thereafter, he encouraged his church members to be generous with their seeds and donations to the church.
”We need your money to come on my alter so that my alter will touch you. The only way the grace functioning in me will work for you is that you’ll come and bribe my Angels…” he said in part.
