BBNaija housemate, Angel has revealed that her first boyfriend died in 2019 and his death severely affected her mental heath.
Angel, who has 11 tattoos in different parts of her body, disclosed this while introducing herself to her fellow housemates on Sunday night.
According to the 21-year-old, she battled with depression and started self-harming after her boyfriend’s death. However, she didn’t disclose the cause of his death.
She added that she came to BBNaija to find herself because she has been living a purposeless life.
She said in part, “Here’s a bit of my story , School has never been my strongest suit and I’ve always wondered where my place in the world was especially with a lot of the people I went to school with graduating , in 2019 I lost my boyfriend and it took a toll on my mental health , I started self harming . Zahra Ado-Bayero, daughter of the Emir of Bichi is set to get married to President Buhari’s son, Yusuf on the 20th of August, 2021.
According to a report by Daily Trust, a total of 145 people have been named on a committee inaugurated to coordinate the wedding.
The committee which was set up by the Emir of Kano, Nasiru Ado Bayero, will also organize a schedule of the Emir’s coronation and presentation of staff of office by Kano governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
A statement signed by the spokesperson for the emirate, Lurwan Malikawa, says the coronation follows a day after the wedding at the Emir’s palace.
The statement also reveals that the committee will be headed by the District Head of Bagwai, who is also the Madakin Bichi Alhaji Nura Ahmad and Falakin Bichi Alhaji Abba Waziri will serve as the committee’s secretary.
During the inauguration ceremony of the committee, the Emir of Bichi, represented by the Madakin Bichi, urged members of the committee to use their wealth of experience to ensure the success of the coronation as well as that of the royal wedding.
Nigerian singer, Temmie Ovwasa has shared what will be her regret if it doesn’t happen to her before she dies.

Angel and the other housemates gathered at the lounge to share a bit about themselves after the ladies joined the house last night.
According to Angel, she started self-harming at the age of 14 as she battled depression which emanated from her high school’s high academic expectations.
In her words ;
”I started out Education wise.. I graduated from Best Highschool, Merywood. Further down to University. I started out at the University of Lagos UNILAG. I was there for like two weeks. I didn’t go for any lectures because it wasn’t my vibe. I went to a really secluded high school so getting into UNILAG was kind of hard for me so I dropped out from there. I didn’t tell my parents. My mum doesn’t live in Nigeria. My mum came back, she found out so she put me in a foundation school to go to London. I went to a foundation programme for Mass Communication but I dipped again because I realized that I didn’t even know what I wanted to do and everything. So basically, I have been cruising through life because I had like a whole mental health thing.
“The reason why I wasn’t into school was because of how hard it was in Merywood because our A was like sixty nine and our F was sixty one, so that was really hard for me, and because I live with my granny because my mum doesn’t stay in Nigeria, whatever I was doing wasn’t really enough for her so there was some form of pressure.
“Then I started self-harming. When I was 14, I started self-harming. I guess I was depressed and everything. My mates have graduated now and I guess that is why I auditioned for Big Brother because it felt like everybody had figured out what they wanted to do except me so during the cause of me auditioning and me getting in and me making progress, I moved from a place where I felt I wasn’t sufficient to now feeling…”

On Sunday, July 25, a bizarre drama happened after a suspected thug hung on the bonnet of a lady while she drove from Ikoyi to Victoria Island, Lagos.
Apparently, the suspected thug was protesting that she parked on ‘his parking space’.
The lady who recorded videos from the incident noted that she attended an event with her partner and parked her car on a spot that she found available.
When it was time to go, the thug came out from nowhere, claimed that the spot was his. The thug who wouldn’t take no for an answer deflated her tyres and hung on the bonnet of her car as she drove from Ikoyi to Victoria Island.

Van Vicker has graduated with First class honors decades after his mates graduated from university.
The Ghanaian actor said when his mates were enrolling to go to the university in 1997, his single mother couldn’t afford to send him to school.
He said he should have graduated with his mates in 2000/2001 but he’s graduating in 2021.
“21 years later, here I stand before you with 3 achievements during my graduation,” the Ghanaian actor wrote as he shared a photo he took on his graduation gown.

The above is within the context of my 2021 post on social media and is in no way presumptuous but uprightly to inspire – I could not enroll at a tertiary institution in 1997 because my single mother did not have the funds. If free SHS was available back in the day, most likely I would have graduated in 2000/2001.
My career took off and I have been blessed but as someone who relishes education getting that degree was just a matter of time.
I complete my Masters program this December and I am sorely motivated and committed to go even beyond, God willing.

Barely hours into the BBNaija reality show, an old tweet of a female housemate, Angel, on how she can drain a man’s pocket has gone viral on micro-blogging website, Twitter.

It sure was an uncommon event as there was a medley of splendour, honour, vibes and pure entertainment at the El Raris (The Uncommon) dinner and awards party hosted by the Colphyssa cum Colbiossa committee of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta at the Banquet Hall, Conference Hotel, Abeokuta on Friday, 23rd of July 2021.
Students from the College of Physical & Biological Science of the varsity and across, all trooped to the Banquet Hall to partake in one of the most highly anticipated events of the session, with a number of them receiving meritorious awards for their remarkable personality over the last academic year.
The event was all shades of glamour with guests in attendance making exquisite fashion statements in their glittering and delectable outfits that gave the hall a variance of colour, style and long-lasting impressions.
Notable awards brandished throughout the night to various remarkable students who all gracefully and elegantly received their honours on stage and acknowledged it by spraying some cash before making away with the perfectly sculptured award, some of these awards ranged from “man & woman of the year” to “most influential, most fashionable, best fresher of the year” amongst others.
The Uncommon party was not all about the awards as it was complemented with electrifying performances from top Nigerian entertainers, T-Classic, Mohbad and Zinoleesky. The appearance and performance of this new wave of Nigerian entertainers had the guests excited as they plunged into party mode the moment the artistes were featured on stage.
These top artistes were not the only ones who brought the heat to the event as the hall was filled with so much energy with popular Nigerian Disc Jockey, DJ 4Kerty and well known hypeman, Toby Shang bringing their A-game into the hall. They were so much of an energetic duo as they raised the roof which was much to the delight and entertainment of the guests.
It sure was an eventful and remarkable program which according to majority of those in attendance, was the first of its kind in the history of social events in UNAAB.

The trial of Uduak Frank Akpan, the alleged killer of Akwa Ibom job seeker, Iniubong Ephraim Umoren, will begin at the Akwa Ibom state Hogh Court 6 in Uyo, the state capital on Monday, July 26.
According to a statement released by the media unit of the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Justice signed by the information officer in the ministry, Effiong Edet, says the state’s Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Uko Essien Udom (SAN), will be the lead counsel for the prosecution team.
Mr Akpan, who lured the 26-year-old graduate of University of Uyo (UNIUYO) with a fake job interview on April 29, killed her and buried her remains in a shallow grave in his father’s compound.
Ms Umoren was confirmed dead on April 30 and buried on Friday at her hometown, Nung Ita, Ikot Essien in Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
The statement added that the police investigating team had exhumed the deceased’s remains, which was buried in a shallow grave, showing her mouth gagged and the neck strangulated and squeezed, eyeballs bulging and tongue popping out, all allegedly pointing irresistibly to one direction, murder. The statement disclosed that the police had since concluded investigations and sent the case file to the Department of Public Prosecutions (DPP), which could not swing into action immediately because of the recently suspended industrial action embarked upon by Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN).

A Night of Tribute was organized in Lagos for the late Sound Sultan and friends, celebrities, and fans were all in attendance to honor the late singer.

Embattled American singer-songwriter, R.Kelly has landed in more problems as federal prosecutors reveal more sex trafficking allegations against him including one that he had sexual contact with an underage boy.
It should be recalled that Kelly faces multiple charges in New York, Minnesota and Illinois, with many of them related to his alleged abuse of underage girls.
In a court filing last Friday, July 23, the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York revealed that it believes Kelly also violated at least one male victim.
According to the filing, which includes new information but no new charges, Mr. Kelly met a 17-year-old boy at a McDonald’s around December 2006, and invited him to a party. When the teen showed up with his mother and stepfather, Mr Kelly allegedly asked him to come alone next time.
After that, prosecutors say he invited the boy to his studio, “under the guise of helping and mentoring John Doe #1 with his musical aspirations”.
“Kelly also asked John Doe #1 what he was willing to do to succeed in the music business and clarified that he wanted John Doe #1 to engage in sexual contact with Kelly,” the document says. “With that backdrop, Kelly then engaged in sexual contact with John Doe #1, in violation of Illinois law.”
Mr. Kelly has pleaded not guilty to the charges and denies ever abusing anyone.
Prosecutors, however, are accusing the musician of coordinating a vast criminal enterprise involving his bodyguards, managers, and other members of his entourage, all geared toward gratifying Mr Kelly’s sexual desires.
“The purposes of the Enterprise were to promote R Kelly’s music and the R Kelly brand, to recruit women and girls to engage in illegal sexual activity with Kelly and to produce pornography, including child pornography,” the US attorney’s office says.
Friday’s court filing spans 55 pages, and includes 20 “Jane Does” and two “John Does”.
Prosecutors say Mr Kelly also asked John Doe #1 to contact a juror in his 2008 child pornography trial, and to tell the juror that Mr Kelly was a “good guy”. They also allege that he tried to start a sexual relationship with a friend of John Doe #1’s, who was 16 or 17 at the time.
Mr Kelly’s New York trial is set to begin on 9 August.

Nigerian Rapper and DMW Signee, Dremo, has revealed that the designers shirt that recently caused controversy on social media is worth a whopping sum of 700 thousand Naira.
Recall that the rapper recently trended online after an Instagram blog known as Gossip Mill insinuated that Davido gave his old shirt to Dremo.
The insinuation spanned from the fact that Dremo wore the same shirt that was earlier seen on his boss, Davido’s body.
Reacting to this, Dremo wrote ;

Big Brother Naija 2021 officially kicked off last night and the house is already buzzing with the introduction of the first 10 male housemate, a different twist this time around.
The housemates are already settling down and getting to know themselves better and on one occassion, the housemate known as Yerins piqued people’s interest when he described the kind of person he is.
Yerins described himself as a “Polymath” and a “Renaissance” person.
A quick check into the dictionary defines a Polymath as a person of wide knowledge or learning. A renaissance person also means one with many talents or areas of knowledge.
Yerins description took the housemates by surprise and his fellow housemate, WhiteMoney gave an epic reaction that depicted he had no idea on what Yerins was talking about.
Big Brother Naija ‘shine ya eyes’ housemate, Saga, has opened up on his downside especially with his father whom he believes he is disappointed because of his career path.
According to Saga, art remains his zeal, unlike his dad’s desire for him to be an engineer at all costs because it was his dream before ending up as a banker.
In his words;
“I graduated with a second class lower but I was a disappointment to my dad. My dad wanted me to be the engineer that he wasn’t. He is a banker but an Engineer and an inventor.
“He wanted to take up that role and cajoled me into studying engineering but I like arts. I almost threw my certificates away because my dad talked down on me. This made me fall in love with drawing. I’m here for my mum because she loves arts,” he added.
