Late Nigerian Televangelist, Prophet T.B Joshua, has been laid to rest in his church premises on Friday, July 9.
The ceremony was an elaborate one befitting of the popular cleric. He was laid to rest in a Mausoleum that could easily pass off as a tourist attraction.
The church shared the photos and wrote ;
This is the mausoleum on The SCOAN premises housing Prophet T.B. Joshua’s tomb. Indeed, Prophet T.B. Joshua leaves a legacy of service and sacrifice to God’s Kingdom that is living for generations yet unborn. #TBJoshuaLegacy
Media personality, Daddy Freeze, has berated General Overseers of Nigerian Churches for not attending the funeral of the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations SCOAN, Late Prophet T.B. Joshua.
TB Joshua was buried on Friday, July 9 and despite the fact that he was a popular Televangelist, the only notable clergyman who attended his funeral was the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Lagos state chapter, Rt. Rev. S.T.V Adegbite.
In a video shared online, Freeze said that no matter what may have transpired between them when T.B Joshua was alive, they should have had a forgiving heart and attended his funeral.
In his words ;
”Prophet T.B Joshua has been laid to rest. May his soul rest in peace. I worry with the turnout of Christians to this man’s funeral. I worry. If we truly are Christians, every church should have sent a delegation.
I must say I am disappointed whether you like to admit it or not. I am disappointed.
He wondered how someone can die and Christians cannot extend their condolence or commiserate with their families. He pointed out that when some persons died, the same TB Joshua in his lifetime did farewell for them and also commiserated with their families.
”I am disappointed, disappointed in you all. You have not shown a legacy of love. None of you..I tried to monitor. None of you could wear your clothes and fly your private jets and attend the funeral?
If you ask me and you expect me to be honest, I am entirely disappointed in all the big daddies that we have. You people are our daddies. If you behave like this, how are we the children going to behave? If we are fighting, it should be during when someone dies. You people have turned gods of Men. He offended you, so?
You don’t know what you have done…especially our daddies. ”
The governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu in his tribute to late clergyman, TB Joshua has testified of some of his benevolent deeds before his passing.
Akeredolu who was present at the funeral ceremony of the SCOAN founder which held in Lagos today, July 9th revealed that late pastor helped in restoring electricity to some parts of Ondo State.
According to him, the Ondo State born cleric paid the electricity bills and bought transformers for four local governments in the state.
In his words,
“When the Northern senatorial district of our state was in darkness, he came to our aide. He paid the electricity bills of four local governments and bought transformers for them because the government could not afford it”.
The governor also disclosed that the late prophet gave him and his wife some money after he emerged victorious in the governorship elections.
“When I won election to be governor of Ondo State, T.B Joshua drove to Ondo State to wish me well and when he was leaving, he put money in my pocket and said, ‘as a governor, you’ll need money to entertain people.
“He also gave me money to give to my wife. I must testify openly to what T.B Joshua did for me.” He said.
Tekno took quite the tumble, landing on his back after he suffered an accident on Friday, July 9.
The singer who is currently based in the United States shared a up of his accident on his Instagram page with a warning to folks.
Tekno revealed that this was his first time taking on the skate board and from video evidence available, the skate board took him out.
Tje amateur skater who took on his first experience in an outdoor skating rink was enjoying a slow and leisure ride when he hit a wall and was unable to to regain his balance, hence landing flat on his back.
“First time skating! Don’t try this at home,” he captioned the video of himself.
The remains of Late Prophet T.B Joshua, have now been laid to rest in his church premises in Lagos state yesterday, July 9th 2021.
It is said that when beggars die, there are no comets seen; the heavens themselves blaze forth the death of princes. The late Prophet T. B. Joshua may not have been a prince, but he was royalty in every ramification, reaching out to the lowly and mighty, as he grew his ministry of love, healing and philanthropy. Gboyega Alaka captures the mood of his faithful and beneficiaries during the week-long burial celebration which climaxed yesterday.
It was a carnival probably never witnessed before in this part of the world, as the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All nations (SCOAN), Prophet T. B. Joshua, was laid to rest in the premises of the massive worship edifice, yesterday. Name it: Republic of Benin, Togo, Ghana, Cote d’ivoire, Malawi, South Africa, Southern Sudan, to the remotest parts of the world like Hawaii, Haiti, Dominican Republic, The Bahamas and as far flung as Australia, Indonesia, South Korea, Argentina, Russia and Jamaica, were all represented.
The carnival played out both within and outside the huge Synagogue Church auditorium. Citizens of various countries proudly waved their national flags and flaunted their cultural identities in their manner of dressing. For those who have been on pilgrimage to Mecca or perhaps Jerusalem, their-in lie the closest comparison.
Even neighbours and all groups of people who benefited from the philanthropist preacher took turns to demonstrate their appreciation, some carrying banners with his picture and message of appreciation and drumming and dancing. For them, it was celebration of a life well-spent
Governor Rotimi Akeredolu probably captured it most succinctly, when he described the scenario at his funeral yesterday just before he was interred, as the greatest congregation of world citizens in one place.
“I am not too sure we have had the world congregate in this number on account of any one man. Probably that of Nelson n Mandela, but the world is even more represented here than when Nelson Mandela was buried. Indeed he was and is being globally acknowledged today.”
He cited the example of the Argentinean priest, Bishop Williamson from The Bahamas who officiated before he mounted the stage, President of the Economic Centre for Peace in the world all the way from Isreal, Ayoub Karo and several others from all over the world and concluded that “though he was from Arigidi Akoko in Ondo State, Nigeria, the late Prophet T. B. Joshua was a global citizen.”
It is for this reason that the governor said he pleaded with the paramount ruler of Joshua’s hometown, who for minutes, appealed to him to help prevail on the family and church to bury the remains of the prophet in his home-town, to which he told His majesty that the matter was beyond him, even as a governor.
Extolling the virtues of the late Man of God, Akeredolu said, “He contributed greatly in emancipating the downtrodden, widows, orphans and special people. He touched their lives economically and spiritually.”
The governor however stirred a thunderous applause from the global audience, when he said the late Man of God not only showed love to the less-privileged but also to the privileged, proceeding to share his personal experience.
“Even those of us who are privileged also benefited from his love. I can testify personally to the good things I benefitted from him. When I won election to be governor of Ondo state, Prophet T. B. Joshua drove all the way to my hometown in Owoh to congratulate me.
“He said he had come to wish me well, prayed for me; and when he was leaving, he put something in my pocket. I won’t tell you how much he put in my pocket but it was a great thing he put in my pocket. He said, ‘As governor, you will need to entertain people, take.’ I’m privileged, so it is not only the privileged he extended his generosity to.
“Not only that, my wife was not around, but he said ‘she would also need to entertain people, give this to her.’
The governor finished off the story with a funny line: “I can tell you, I delivered it, you can ask her.”, drawing a roaring laughter and applause from the well entertained audience.
That account, he said, underlined another reason why he had to be present at his burial, aside from being governor of his home state. ‘I owe him,’ he said.
He went further to speak about his numerous scholarships to students, youth empowerment, settling electricity bills owed by four local governments, buying them transformers and ensuring that they are connected to the national grid.
He also talked about his support for the police and even Amotekun, the Southwest security outfit.
“As I speak with you, Arigidi Akoko where he is from and Ondo State people will not forget his goodies which he brings to them every year.
“He was not born with silver spoon, but from what I heard from his pears, he was a special child. … He was one who would tell a player ‘don’t go and play because you can break your leg;’ and if such kid proceeds to play, he would indeed come back with a broken leg. So he is special. “
Akeredolu was not alone in such testimonies. Several top dignitaries and celebrities, including former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani Kayode, civil liberties activist and former Edo State Attorney-General, Osagie Obayuwana, Aare Ona kakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams, who is also from Joshua’s hometown, King Mswati Gomani from Malawi, representatives of former president of Ghana, John Mahama, Ovation Chairman, Dele Momodu, crossover Nollywood actor, Femi Branch, Ojo Arowosafe popularly known as Fadeyi Oloro, Jumoke George, Ronke ‘Oshodi Oke’ Ojo.
Aside himself, a large contingent of Ondo State government, including the deputy governor were also present.
Fani-Kayode at the All-day tribute on Tuesday, spoke about how the man of God reached out to him on phone while he was in incarceration, praying for him, offering him words of encouragement and prophesying that he would be released in three days. Indeed he was released three days after that phone conversation.
Obayuwana spoke about how he also supported the civil rights movement, stating that the group was actually there to pay their last respect to a man who reached out to the common man.
Speaking at the funeral, Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by his Commissioner for Home Affairs, Anofi Elegushi said “his demise will certainly be remembered in the chronicles of the Synagogue Church of All Nations… We celebrate the life of this global evangelist who fought the good fight of faith, a visionary prophet and a General of God’s army.
He went further to say that “His love for God and humanity made the difference. He lived with the common man but became an uncommon minister. He was a man with humble beginnings who never forgot his roots. Even after he became a renowned preacher and global evangelist, he still identified with the poor, fed the widows and played the role of a father to the orphans.”
Wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Olori Naomi Silekunola representing His Majesty brought the audience ‘greetings from the throne of Oduduwa’.
She said, “It is my prayer, standing here to commiserate with the family that the lesson his life has taught us will also bring out the good seeds in every one of us.
“We will keep talking about him. It’s a privilege to have come from Ondo State, same as this great man. He’s a true son of the soil.
He was a true reflection of the life Christ led–Nollywood stars
Nollywood actor, Femi Branch, leading three other actors, Ojo Arowosafe (Fadeyi Oloro), Jumoke George and Ronke Oshodi Oke, said they had no choice but to be present to pay their last respect.
Said Branch: “The Bible said Jesus Christ who is the template of Christianity went about doing good and healing those who were sick. How many of those who are labelling and demonising him did any of such? Rather they were buying mansions, wearing designer outfits and building universities their church members could not attend.”
He went on to say that though he never benefited from him directly, he could not deny the generosity he had seen and heard the late prophet exhibit.
Ojo Arowosafe, who was almost in tears, spoke of a relationship that dates back over 30 years and how he once lived with Joshua, who was his boss, Jimoh Aliu’s friend in Ikare, Ondo State.
“Because we look alike, many would even see me, as his popularity grew, and call me T. B Joshua. Even when he moved to the first sight of his church, I used to visit him; even in this Synagogue, and he would always pray for my success.”
As for Jumoke George, who said she, along with some of her colleagues, saw Joshua the very night he passed on, “If I don’t come and pay my last respect, I would not forgive myself. What pained me was that I saw the prophet the very last day he exited this world. It was Sokoti who called me, ‘Jummy, they said the prophet we went to visit yesterday is dead.’
“My first thought was, ‘Is this a kind of expensive joke?’ However, when the reality dawned on me, I was shattered and completely broken. But for the understanding of the producers on the set I had gone to Lekki, I would have flopped.”

Her post on Facebook reads ;
We Side Chicks Association of Nigeria (SCAN), an umbrella organization of unmarried ladies (girlfriends, mistresses, concubines, baby-mamas etc) who are amorously and financially attached to married men wish to state that: Our attention has been drawn to the trending tragic news of a young lady alleged to have murdered her rich CEO Man friend. We hereby state categorically that the said young lady is not our member and totally condemn the criminal act which in fact runs contrary to the objectives, interests and principles of our great association. For us as a group, Daddies, Aristos, and manfriends are treasure pots that are more useful being alive than dead. Indeed, many of us will go to great lengths to ensure that no harm come to our benefactors even more than their legally-married wives. We therefore want to use the medium to assure our men of their safety in our care. They should not on account of this unfortunate incident be discouraged from continuing or engaging in this mutually-beneficial, age-long, social alliances. SIGNED NATIONAL PRESIDENT Princess Bukky Osude
A young Nigerian lady who recently wrote her final exams alongside her father who has been her classmate for the last 5 years.
She shared the video from the sign out occasion, and attached a amazing thread how she coped being in the same class with her father for the last 5 years.
What he said!!!!!!!!!!! This man!!! We fought very well sha I remember the first time he told me he was going to be in my class! Omo I cried! It was bad enough I was studying so close to home then to have my actual dad with me Every time he was asked a Question he will first introduce me, it was as if the ground should open and swallow me. Then I became the girl whose dad was in her class. This man would leave work and come to class everyday. If I’m a minute late, I’m in trouble. He saw my results before Me, he pays my fees first before his. So many stories to tell, or how he fell sick and couldn’t walk for days, or how he stood by me when I thought I’d be suspended from school. God thank you for my daddy This man is proud of me! And I am proud of him!
But this man gave me privileges, my house was 5 mins away from school and he taught me to drive and gave me my own car! He said I want my daughter to have what I had! God the drama!!!!!!! E remain small he would have been slapping me
I must greet him every morning when I come to class. Mehnn!!!! I hear of people having their parents in their school with them but not the same class. And I did it for 5 years. I kept it in for 5 years!!!!! God I was so angry sometimes
But this final moment made it worth it. You won’t see this but thank you Daddy.
If you’re in my school you’d understand boys couldn’t even talk to me!!!!!! The man was a force to contend with! How did I even do it?
The special treatment I got because of him. His presence gave me grace. Daddy and daughter are barristers!!!DADDY!
And should I mention that it’s a private uni for the fees were over the roof. Paying over 1m twice and I never owed a dime!!!!! I never lacked a thing. He never made me feel the pressure. God I have no words to thank you.
Nigerian award-winning gospel artiste and music minister, Afy Douglas, has criticized those who wear nose rings, waist beads, multiple ear piercings and other adornments.
According to the Gospel Artiste, said such female adornment represent rebellion, witchcraft, unnatural sexual orientation.
His Facebook post reads ;
“On nose rings, waist beads, multiple ear piercings and other adornments… It is rather not complementary that Teachers of the Bible still respond to issues (big or small) with a traditional wave of hand. We have become lazy from preaching and teaching from other people’s messages rather than personal study and research,” he wrote.
I am personally turned off when I see such adornments because I grew up with the notion and assumptions of what they represent: Rebellion, Witchcraft, unnatural sexual orientation…
Will that stop me from taking an objective and spiritual look at it when it is raised? Will I wave it off because of a traditional, non scripture supported mindset even when surrounded by people who need me to make clarity because of God’s appointment on my life?
Why do we still shy away from conversations that have become the biggest issues in our counseling rooms and behind the scenes?
Why do we like mystery like this? Why do we try so hard to repair veils that tore when Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice?
If you are not equipped to speak, by all means refrain. Don’t jump into a public discourse with a hard stance you cannot defend, then resort to insults, curses and abuses when superior argument is made. It gives you off as illiterate and limited in intellectual expression. I know spiritual is superior to intelligent. Lol.
It is a poor representation of the Christ, His Apostles and His body.
You are afraid people will become too liberal and freewilled… Abi you are afraid people will begin to ask too many questions about everything. Hmmmm.
It is too late, the ship already sailed. It is time to wake up and ask the Holy Spirit to take us deeper so we can answer and become answers to the questions of the world.
It is the Truth that sets free NOT something similar to the truth. The call on us is beyond us. Brace up.
PS… This is not directed in support or against anyone but if it picks your heart… By all means, it is yours. I love you.
American rapper, Bia has cleared the air after Nigerians dragged her for claiming she doesn’t know Nigerian A list singers, Davido, Burna Boy and Wizkid.
Bia came under fire by a number of Nigerians on social media for claiming she doesn’t know who Nigerian superstars, Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido are, during a live session on hip-hop queen, Nicki Minaj‘s Instagram page.
During the live session, Nicki Minaj who was the host had given Bia the options of the International super acts and much to the surprise of many, including Nicki herself, Bia claimed that she knows neither of the three superstars.
This didn’t sit well with Nigerian netizens who took to different social media platforms to drag her to filth, with many claiming they don’t know her either.
Following the backlash, Bia has now taken to Twitter to declare her love for Nigeria and tender an apology as she explained that she’s familiar with Davido, Wizkid and Burna’s songs but doesn’t know what they look like.
In her words,
“I said I don’t know what they all look like doesn’t mean I don’t know their music 🤗🧡🇳🇬 I didn’t mean to offend anyone 🙏🏾 #LOVE”.
The Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners’ Association has suspended Yomi Fabiyi over his recently released movie, “Oko Iyabo”, which many claim trivialized the sexual assault case of his friend, Baba Ijesha.
The association announced Yomi Fabiyi’s suspension on Friday, July 9, in a statement titled, “TAMPAN suspends Yomi Fabiyi indefinitely for gross professional misconducts & unethical practices.”
Reacting to this, Yomi took to his Instagram page to write ;
I am ORIGINALLY ANTP MEMBER, worst case I will renew my membership there.
I have never obtain or sign any form with TAMPAN or joined any GUILD. I was made to pay for registration which I did but no form collected or formal procedure.
The letter is inappropriate, not valid for me as a Filmmaker. Any reaction if necessary will be on the basis of Human Rights Violation if I so wish to seek judicial redress. You don’t loose what you never had.

An American woman is currently overjoyed as she gets a visa to travel to Nigeria only after one week of application.
According to the lady who is a missionary travelling to Nigeria, getting the visa with ease can only be a miracle, as it took her friends close to one month or more.
In an interview with SaharaReporters she revealed her visa processing cost a total $850 (about N350,000) noting that it was indeed a miracle” the visa got through in one week and without paying the officials kickbacks.
She said,
“It took my friends three and a half weeks to get their Nigerian visas. It can take a while to get. I don’t believe it’s that hard though; this is my second time using this office. They are more pricey, but it’s not that difficult. It’s a simple process.
The first time it was hectic; if you are not providing right documentations, that puts longer delay. God’s done it. The officials didn’t demand money as kickbacks. They have a good relationship with a travel agency.”
My Nigerian visa story this time is; someone went to Washington. The agencies closed. She paid close to $350 but by the time she added travel and computer costs, it was close to $550. My visa came out to $850. That was the total amount spent. The travel agency has a good relationship with Nigeria. I got this Nigerian visa in less than a week. It is a miracle. It showed up at my door. Glory to God”. She added.

A Nigerian pastor, Abel Damina has countered the popular belief that the word “Hallelujah” is a heavenly language.
The cleric, who is the lead pastor and founder of Abel Damina Ministry and Power City International in Akwa Ibom, stated that Hallelujah is not a heavenly language because the Bible was originally written in human language like Hebrew, Greek and Latin.
Pastor Abel stated this while preaching on the topic “WHO IS GOD”. According to him, speaking in tongues is the real heavenly language, not “Hallelujah”.
His words,
“In the days of Moses, people worship many things call God. That’s why when you read the Bible, you will come across ‘Lord God’. The word could mean a judge. Remember that the Bible was written within human culture.
The Bible is not an abstract book that fell from the sky. It was written based on what happened in time in the interaction between God and man, men and men, circumstances, events etc. This is because it was written in human language.
“Since the Bible was written in human language, like the way people sing in church, “Hallelujah is our heavenly language’, stop that. Don’t let illiteracy undress you in public. How can Hallelujah be heavenly language, what makes it heavenly in the first place? It is human language.
If you want the heavenly language, speak in tongues. Therefore, speaking in tongue is heavenly language”.
