The socialite took to his social media page to state that people are quick to insult him, yet they have less of what he has and cannot meet up with his exotic lifestyle.

According to the lady, her daughter made a new friend on the playground so she asked the child’s dad if they could plan another playdate. However, he told her to ask his wife instead which pissed off.

A British-owned company, Timbuktu Global, is currently under fire on social media for trademarking the word “Yoruba” and opposing anyone else using it.

Outrage as British-owned company

Timbuktu Global, an outerwear clothing retailer owned by two Brits, trademarked the word “Yoruba” in 2015, thereby making it impossible for anyone to use it, not even Yoruba people.

The company also claims that Timbukutu, a city in Mali, Africa, is a “fictional location which literally means ‘the middle of nowhere’, a location that has intrigued mankind for centuries.”

This was brought to light by CultureTree TV when they tried to trademark their programme that teaches children Yoruba Language, called “Yoruba Stars”.

Outrage as British-owned company

CultureTree TV took to Twitter to share their discovery and call the attention of Nigerians to the company’s action, despite the fact that they don’t offer any services, products or have anything to do with Yoruba at all.

The discovery has sparked outrage on social media as Nigerians have joined CultureTree Tv to accuse the company of “robbery” and “cultural appropriation”.

Nigerians have also stormed the social media pages of TimbuktuGlobal to demand an explanation.

Empire actor, Bryshere Gray sentenced to jail for assaulting his wife

American actor, Bryshere Gray, has been sentenced to 10 days in jail after pleading guilty to felony aggravated assault on his wife.

Gray, 27, who played Hakeem Lyon on the Fox TV series, Empire, entered a guilty plea in his domestic violence case, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.

Gray was arrested on domestic violence charges in July last year after a woman said her husband had assaulted her for ‘several hours’.

When cops got to their home in Goodyear, Arizona, Gray refused to come outside and barricaded himself inside the house overnight.

Police said the woman had multiple visible injuries on her body and that she said Gray strangled her at one point until she passed out. The actor has been sentenced to 10 days in a county jail and three years probation as part of his plea agreement.

A man nabbed for stealing bunches of plantain has claimed that he committed the offence to meet his girlfriend’s demand.

According to the report shared online on Monday, May 24, the young man was caught in Ebedebiri, Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa state.

During his interrogation, the suspect claimed that he stole because of his girlfriend. According to him, his girlfriend requested for the sum of ten thousand naira (N10,000) to buy makeup and had given him a deadline to get the money.

The suspect said he became frustrated when the deadline was approaching so he resorted to stealing.

He revealed that he entered people’s farms in Ebedebiri and harvested their plantains, which he planned to sell in order to raise money for his girlfriend.

However, the suspected thief has pleaded with the community leaders to forgive him.

Meanwhile, a 15-year-old girl is currently at large after she allegedly stabbed her 18-year-old brother, Anthony Nganga to death with a kitchen knife over N765 (Ksh200).

A beautiful young lady identified as @Bae_Tee_ on Twitter, has revealed she once broke up with a guy she was dating after she saw his monthly pay slip.

According to the young lady, her boyfriend was broke but she never noticed until she saw his pay slip because she never asked him for anything.

In a series of Twitter thread the lady narrated how she called it quit with the young man because she discovered she was richer than him and could conveniently pay his monthly salary four times.

In her words,

“There’s this guy i once dated two years, i saw his payslip, realized i could pay him his monthly salary 4 times a month. I tried to stay in the relationship but I failed, MEN HIDE YOUR PAYSLIPS.

Popular Nigerian lesbian, Amara, has recounted how a landlady refused to rent out a house to her because she’s a lesbian.

Amara revealed that she found a house which she wanted to rent, but the landlord insisted on having her social media handles for background check before he can lease out the house to her.

Nigerian Singer, Timeleyin Olorunyomi, popularly known as BadBoyTimz, has slammed his ex-label with a N200M lawsuit for defamation of character.

Recall that last week, a video made the rounds on social media, and it showed the singer cuffed with his hands behind his back. It was reported that he was arrested for “defrauding his label and show promoters”.

However, in a new twist, it has been revealed that the truth was far away from that accusation.

The accomplished singer who recently got married to his heartthrob was casually dressed on his big day and wore a straight face in all the photos.

The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), has suspended actors, Nkechi Blessing and Kehinde Adams better know as Lege.

The Nollywood stars in the last few weeks have been at loggerheads over the alleged child molestation saga involving their colleague, Baba Ijesha.

Nkechi Blessing and Kehinde Adams better known as Lege who dragged each other to filth on social media over Baba Ijesha’s alleged child molestation saga have now been sanctioned by the association.

Tampan in a statement released on Sunday, May 23rd, ordered directors in the film industry not to engage the services of the suspended actors.

The statement read in part,

“The attention of the National body of TAMPAN (Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria) has been drawn to to the unruly acts, exchange of detrimental verbal utterances and other acts that is causing disrespect to the image of the association and our noble profession in general.

“All guilds under TAMPAN has been directed to henceforth desist from having professional dealings with Sunday Nkechi Blessing and Mr Adams kehinde(Lege) until further notice”.

15-year-old girl on the run after allegedly killing her 18-year-old brother over N765 (Ksh200)

A 15-year-old girl is currently at large after she allegedly stabbed her 18-year-old brother, Anthony Nganga to death with a kitchen knife.

Kenya’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations has launched a manhunt for the juvenile, meanwhile, CI detectives based at Githunguri took up the case after the juvenile’s uncle, John Wangendo filed a report at Kibichoi Police Station.

Wangendo alleged that the juvenile killed her brother after they disagreed on how to spend ksh200 their mother had given them to buy food.

It was gathered that Anthony was immediately rushed to Kigumo level four hospital by his uncle, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. His body has been preserved at the same facility for postmortem.

The agency’s statement read,

“The uncle recounted to our officers how a bitter confrontation ensued between the two after the 15-year-old girl demanded to be given the money to make her hair, instead of buying food. But when her elder brother would hear non of it, she picked a kitchen knife and stabbed him leaving him unconscious in a pool of blood. She then fled the scene leaving the murder weapon behind.”

Emir of Kontagora’s son, Alhaji Bashar Saidu Namaska, reportedly tied the knot barely two weeks before he was gruesomely killed by armed bandits.

The monarch’s son was murdered on Thursday, May 20, when some armed bandits invaded his father’s farm in Masuge Village, along Kontagora-Rijau road.

In new reports, the Webster University, St Louis, Missouri graduate and Sardauna of Kontagora, is said to have gotten married shortly before his untimely demise.

An acquittance of the family, identified as Samaila Ibrahim, had on May 8, 2021, shared photos from the wedding ceremony on Facebook to wish the couple a happy married life.

In related news, a young Nigerian man was murdered in cold blood by armed bandits, exactly five days to his wedding in Kaduna state.

The groom-to-be identified as Francis Jonathan Ayuba, was set to tie the knot with his his fiancée on Saturday, April 17, 2021, before he met his death.

It was gathered that Francis was killed when bandits attacked Wawan Rafi II village, in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State in the early hours of Monday, April 12. Continue reading here.

Wizkid’s first baby mama, Sola, has hinted that her son with the singer, Boluwatife, is set to make his music debut with a freestyle track he recorded himself.

Sola via her official Twitter page hinted that Boluwatife is set to release his first song.

According to the mother of one, the 10-year-old boy mixed and mastered the freestyle himself, and is ready to take over the world with his talent.

”My baby mix and mastered his first solo freestyle. I’ve been shedding tears of joy all morning… the lyrics came straight from the heart.. Sooo DEEP!!! unbelievable yet so beautiful.. IT IS ALMOST TIME TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD”, she tweeted.

This is coming after Boluwatife Balogun, the son of international music star, Wizkid, has proven that an apple doesn’t fall from its tree as he shows off his impeccable rap skills.

The youngster took to his Instagram page to share a video of him rapping along to a rap song “On me” by American rapper, Lil Baby.

Bolu said he loves vibing to the American rapper, whom he described as one of his favorite artistes, whenever he returns home from school.

Ghanaian musician and guitarist, Kwabena Kwabena has averred that Ghanaian women are more unfaithful in relationships and marriages than men.

The singer stated this while he shared his experiences from his three failed marriages in a recent interview with Sammy Kay.

The accomplished draftsman who maintained that people do not speak the truth, added that he can state for a fact that he is one of the faithful men any woman can ever have.

Speaking further, Kwabena noted that he takes the blame for everything that went wrong in his past relationships because he is the one in the limelight as a singer.

Kwabena also refuted claims of being a womanizer, and stated that if any lady he has dated comes out to say he was irresponsible and unfaithful to her, God will seriously deal with that person.

Meanwhile, gospel singer, Gifty Osei, popularly known as Empress Gifty has averred that cheating in marriage is not a sin, but an integral part of marriages.

The multiple gospel singer in a recent interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, advised intending couples not to consider their partners as saints and void of temptations. She urged them to accept that their partners are humans who can falter at anytime.

In her words,

“If you are a married man or a married woman, cheating is part of marriage. If you don’t come to terms with it, when it happens to you, you can go mad.

“Don’t see your partner as Holy Ghost or the Virgin Mary, look at them as human and accept that they can falter at any time.

“When you’re getting married, have it in mind that divorce is also existent. There are advantages and disadvantages so never think that your husbands will never cheat. Otherwise, the day you find out, you may drink DDT.”

Nollywood actress, Yetunde Bakare has clashed with a follower who expressed concern about her waist after she showed off her twerking skills.

The mother of one had taken to her Instagram page to share a video of herself twerking and whining her waist.

While some fans applauded the actress for her dressing skills, others chastised her for posting the video on social media.

However, a follower stated that the actress shouldn’t break her waist while trying to prove a point on the gram.

“Sha don’t break your waist in proving what I don’t know”, she wrote.

The comment caught the attention of the movie star and she warned the follower against making unflattering comments on her page. She further stated that she has the freedom to do whatever she wants with her body.

She replied, “Please respect yourself and know what you say to me! This is my page and my body… whatever i do with it shouldn’t bother you.”
