Football legend, Kanu Nwankwo and his beautiful wife, Amara Kanu, are celebrating 17 years of marital bliss.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2004 and have 3 children together, marked their 17th wedding anniversary on Sunday, July 4th.
They took to their respective Instagram pages to celebrate their love and shower endearing words on each other.
Kanu shared a picture from their wedding and wrote, “Always and forever. Happy anniversary my love @amarakanu. God bless you and our smiles will be forever”.
A Nigerian lady has taken to her social media page to share her marital dilemma in her bid to find a solution to her failing marriage.
According to the lady, her husband wanted a boy-child, she could only give him a girl…then the husband became distant and after a while, his distance led her into the arms of another man (an old friend). The real problem now is that she is pregnant for the other man and she does not know what to do.

The family of late Lagos socialite, Kayode Badru has reportedly arrested his widow for allegedly conspiring with his pastor to burn him to death.
It can be recalled that the Dubai based Nigerian socialite died from a fire incident in May 2021 during a prayer session at a Celestial Church in Lagos.
According to report, “He was holding a candle then the prophet of the church, Felix Alebiosu, sprayed perfume on his body from his head to toe. Within a few minutes, his body caught fire. He suffered severe burns and was rushed to a hospital in Gbagada, Lagos, where he died hours later.”
The wife of late Kayode, Kofoworola Badru has alleged that following her husband’s death, his family accused her of conspiring with his pastor to burn him to death because of his property.
She noted that her husbands brother, Gbenga Badru assaulted her and wrote a petition against her at the police station.
Narrating her ordeal, the mother of two said,
“My husband’s younger brother claim that I conspired with the pastor to roast my husband to death, because of his properties.
He wrote a petition against me at Alagbon Police Station. In the petition, it was written that I don’t have family and I’m an orphan and that I conspired with the pastor to k*ll my husband because of money. They also accused me of moving and selling things from the house the night he died.
I was picked up on July 1, which is the first day I went out of the house after my 41 days mourning, I was made to sleep at the station, even after I told them I have a one-year-old baby. I was only released on bail the next day being July 2 and I have been asked to report at the station tomorrow, Monday.
On the night my husband died, while we were at the mortuary, my husband brother claimed that I didn’t greet him and beat the hell out of me despite knowing that I recently had surgery.
The whole family came to the house the following day and ordered everybody out that they wanted to lock the house. They arrested me even though they know I have no relationship with the pastor. They also claim I bribed police officers at Panti not to give them the autopsy report.
I’m very scared, I have two kids, age 3 and one, my body has been shaking since that day till now, I’m traumatized.”

@truthfully83 on Twitter, took to his page to recount story of a young lady who neglected the advice of her friends and family, lost her well paying job in Nigeria to be with the love of her life in Ghana following a ghastly accident that left him bed-ridden for months.
A young Nigerian man who is based in Ghana, travelled home for the Christmas holidays. While in Nigeria, he met this beautiful lady, whom he fell in love with. She was skeptical, because she wasn’t too sure if he was actually single, couple with the fact, he is based in Ghana.
Reluctantly she said yes, but they should remain as friends, to know each other properly. Dude was cool with that, they kept talking until his holidays came to an end. So he travelled back to Ghana, to resume work.
While in Ghana, he text or call her on a daily basis.
They kept talking until she knew almost everything about him.
She fell in love, and the young man reciprocated. They were longing to meet each other, because they were both deeply in love. But there was a problem.
She works in Nigeria, why he works in Ghana. 8am-5pm both sides.
They both agreed to meet in December, when he will visit Nigeria next for holiday.
This was in February. They had about 10 months to make this a reality. In April that year, barely 5 moths into their long distance relationship, he had a gastly motor accident in Ghana.

A teenage girl was killed by a stray bullet allegedly fired at the Yoruba Nation rally held at Ojota Park, Lagos yesterday, July 3 and today, the Lagos state Government confirmed the sad news.
The 14-year-old Jumoke, said to have been at her shop when a stray bullet hit her and she died.

Our attention has been drawn to the death of a 14-year-old girl in Ojota during the Oodua Republic Mega Rally on Saturday, 3rd of July, 2021.
We commiserate with the family of the deceased. The Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered a thorough investigation of the death. A Coroner’s Inquest has immediately been requested in line with section 14 and 15 of the Coroners’ Systems Law, Laws of Lagos State 2015, to determine the cause and circumstances of death.
By Section 14(1) (d) of the Coroners’ System Law of the State: “A report of death shall be made to any of the agencies for the report of death or the office of the Coroner and be subject to post-mortem examination where there is reasonable cause to believe that the cause of death was: violent, unnatural or suspicious.”
Section 15(1) and (9) further enjoins the Coroner to hold an inquest whenever he or she is informed that the death of the deceased person was in a violent, unnatural or suspicious situation or believes an inquest is desirable following the report of a reportable death.
As a government, the security and wellbeing of citizens are of utmost importance to us. The State assures the public that everything will be done to ensure that the cause of death is known. The findings of this investigation will be made public in due course and appropriate sanctions meted out to anyone found culpable.

Relationship expert, Blessing Okoro Nkiruka has claimed that 21-year-old Chidinma who allegedly killed Mr Ataga, the CEO of Super TV didn’t plan to kill him.
According to the controversial relationship expert, there is more to the saga that is yet to be uncovered.

A supposed Nigerian lady has shared her worry over how her boyfriend who isn’t so financially supportive to her, usually pays more money for tithes and offerings in church.
According to the lady, in her relationship of 3 years, her boyfriend has not given her N50k at once.

Nigerian celebrity blogger, Linda Ikeja took to her Instagram page to give a touching recount of how her dreams of becoming Miss Nigeria in 2003 was short-lived as she was evicted from the show.
The mother of one, in her post, shared that she broke down immensely after realizing she didn’t make top 10 pageants.
According to Linda, that night was one of the worst nights of her life as she felt all hope was lost for her. She went on to share how she cried for days before she made a resolve to move on with her life.
Sharing a throwback photo of her and other contestants on stage during the grande finale of the event, she wrote,
”Number 8 at the 2003 Miss Nigeria pageant. I thought I was going to win but I didn’t even make top 10. That night was one of the worse nights of my life. Nollywood actress, Peju Johnson has stated the reason why so many single ladies are avoiding getting married these days.

In other news, in an exclusive interview with NTA newsmen, Chidinma Ojukwu opened up on how she tied Usifo Ataga’s hands while he was high on drugs and asleep, because she wanted to steal from him, before stabbing him to death.
Her confession gives credence to the family’s claim that Usifo’s corpse showed signs of torture, tied hands and a broken neck even before he was stabbed.
Jumoke Monsurat Oyeleke, Ifeoluwa Oyeleke, the mother of 14-year-old girl, who was killed during the Yoruba Nation rally in Lagos on Saturday, says that up until now, she has yet to see the corpse of her child, according to The PUNCH.
She alleged that when she and her brother visited the Police Station where her corpse was believed to have been taken, the policemen on duty threatened to shoot her and her brother on the legs if they didn’t leave immediately.
She added that the policemen also threatened to fire a teargas canister at them. She, however, did not state which Police Station they had visited.
The distraught mother-of-four also disclosed that the victim was her first child.
Jumoke’s body was found sprawled on the ground in a pool of blood, with her stomach ripped apart. This was shortly after policemen had opened fire to disperse those at the rally who were agitating for a separate nation for the Yoruba nation.
The police have, however, denied playing any part in Jumoke’s death, saying that the blood found around her corpse was dry, and that it was an indication that the body was not fresh.
When The PUNCH visited the mother of the deceased girl on Sunday evening, she was barely audible as she narrated her relationship with her late daughter and other issues surrounding their family.
When she found the courage to speak, Ifeoluwa said, “I got a call while I was in Ikeja where I had gone to work.
“When I asked to know what it was about, I was told that there was no issue but that my presence was needed at home.
“It was when I got home that I learnt of what had happened. I was told that the bullet shot by the police killed my daughter.”
Ifeoluwa stated that she had yet to see the corpse of her daughter since she got the news of her death yesterday.
“They’ve not released her corpse to us. I and my brother, under last night’s rain, got there, but were not allowed in. We heard them saying that if we stayed too long, they will shoot our legs and fire a teargas canister at us.
“After a while, my brother discussed with them and they allowed us in to see their Area Commander who said he heard that shots were fired but that he didn’t know which station the officers behind it came from. “
“He said this could be determined when the extracted bullet is examined.”
When asked if the police had told her anything about her daughter’s corpse, she said no, adding that she didn’t know where they took it to.
She stated that she would love to have a lawyer who would help her seek justice concerning the death of her daughter.
Speaking further, Ifeoluwa revealed that Jumoke was an apprentice at an ice cream shop and had just concluded Junior Secondary School education.
“She usually sat in the shop and never hawked.
“She had three siblings who are all girls. Her dad is dead,” she said; adding, “Jumoke was a good girl who hardly got annoyed; she was hard working.
“Anyone who can rise to our defence should please do,” she pleaded.
Controversial reality TV star, Tolani Baj pettily reacted to the kiss that was planted on her cheek by her colleague and fellow former housemate, Kiddwaya during the round-off of the Lockdown reunion that’d been airing for weeks.
The BBNaija Lockdown Reunion show met its end on Saturday, July 3, during which the ex-Big Brother Naija housemates took turns glancing at photos of their former selves hung on a wall of fame, which was from their first time in the house.

In anticipation of his 60th birthday, veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) has disclosed how he has broken the specter of death in his family since he turned 59 years old.
In an exclusive interview with Nigerian journalist Chide Jideonwu, the actor has revealed that he had broken the specter of death ever since he turned 59 years old even as he anticipates 60 years in a few days.
He disclosed that his parents never lived up to 60 years old as they were both diabetic and hypertensive.
In his words;
“None of my parents lived to be 60, so life for me is just about to get started.”
“There’s been a specter of death around my life, that’s what I’ve been dealing with last year till this year. When I turned 59, it was a big deal for me, a big deal for me! My mom died at 59, my father died at 57/58.”
“So, it was like, can I break it? When people see me and I go on a weight loss, people think that… you know, it’s health. Both my parents were diabetic and hypertensive, I don’t want to be that. I don’t want to be diabetic and hypertensive, I want to be healthier. At least give myself a fighting chance to change that whole cycle. Yes, I’m a Christian now, so I’ve broken that yoke but I have to also help myself.”
“Becoming 60 for me is even a bigger deal, so when July comes and I become 60. You know how the Bible says old things have passed away, I will truly become a new man because that is when I’ll make a bucket list. So all these things that you think I’ve achieved or done, for me it’s nothing, like zero.”

BBNaija reality host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has spoken on why the organizers of the Big Brother Naija show censored some events that happened in the house and the assumed “hate” towards disqualified housemate, Erica Nlewedim.
According to Ebuka, if the show wasn’t a Nigerian show, everything would be on air for the audience to see. But because this is Nigeria, some scenes have to be censored because of the NBC regulations.
He also refuted claims that the organizers hated Erica, as he claimed Erica gave the Big Brother Naija show, good content, with her counterpart, Kiddwaya.
He said; “I like Erica; I really like Erica, which is also funny because people thought that I hated her. She gave us good content; she and Kiddwaya.
“First things first, we live in a country that has regulations. We all know about the NBC; there are certain things we can never show whether we like it or not. I always say that the show would be a different show if it was not a Nigerian show or if it was not in Nigeria because of the kind of things that we cannot show. Those things are not in our call; it is just legal issues.
“Secondly, this talk about what we showed about Kiddwaya and Erica; we actually did not show anything about them if anybody remembers. Nothing was shown about them. We did not show anything. In fact, it was even Ka3na and Praise that people saw under the sheets.

Obama DMW died at a Lekki hospital, Ever-Care hospital on Admiralty Way where he has driven himself to seek medical attention.
He was admitted at the clinic for treatment but unfortunately, died a few hours later.
In a text message exchange that has made it way online, Peruzzi shared details of what went down before his death.
According to that report, the crew had all going out with their boss, Davido before his scheduled traveling and everyone had appeared in good health and enjoyed a good time together.
Obama DMW was said to have left around 2:00 am. Afterwards, he woke up complaining of breathing difficulty.
He drove himself to the hospital to get help and after a while, his arteries reportedly stopped pumping blood and he couldn’t breathe anymore and he died.
It looks like cigarettes and alcohol might have played a role in the sudden demise of Obama as Peruzzi vowed that he was done with those moving forward.
Davido has now been seen for the very first time since the death of Obama.
