The Christian Post reported that romleigh McCleneghan said single Christians can have sex as long as it’s mutually pleasurable and affirming.

In her book, the pastor says no one should be forced to abstain if they find themselves single by circumstance.

McCleneghan backs up her argument saying single Christians don’t need to abstain from sex to remain pure since being chaste is all about moderation.

The pastor who is a married mother of three argues that single people can be faithful in unmarried sexual relationships if they exercise restraint.

McCleneghan believes it’s unfair to ask single Christians who haven’t been called to a life of celibacy to refrain from sexual intimacy when both men and women need sex.

If we refrain from having sex that isn’t mutually pleasurable and affirming, that doesn’t respect the sacred worth of ourselves and our partners,” she explained.

The pastor teachings are contrary to many Christian teachings which mainly urge single individuals to abstain until marriage and go against the Christian tradition that advises against extra-marital sex.

Sex outside marriage is viewed as a sin, that will lead anyone to hell.
