Nigeria’s first lady has openly questioned her husband’s work and said she may not support him if he runs again — comments that President Muhammadu Buhari laughed off, saying, “I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room,” AP reports.

His comments to reporters in Germany promoted German Chancellor Angela Merkel, standing at his side, to give him a short glare and then laugh. .

In an interview with the BBC Hausa-language service broadcast Friday, Aisha Buhari said her husband did not know many top government appointees, and she accused them of not sharing the vision of APC.

In his comments to reporters, Buhari also said he hopes his wife will remember that he ran for president three times before succeeding on the fourth effort.

“So I claim superior knowledge over her and the rest of the opposition, because in the end I have succeeded. It’s not easy to satisfy the whole Nigerian opposition parties or to participate in the government.”

  1. You get this answer when you interview a man without common sense. It’s was difficult for him at that moment to figure out a nice speech for his wife..so he went for easy one..who owns your kitchen n entire household before??..Just resign before oyibo will tie you with a rope one day and use you like a stupid animal..

    • They used to cover his ignorance with closed door meetings. Closed door meeting with John Kerry, closed door meeting with Obama, closed door meeting with Obasanjo. Open door meeting in Germany and he goofed.

  2. Are you people trying to be funny or what? Yesterday ur wife embarrassed u, today u re embarrassing her. Abeg pepe Jonathan is and will always wear Dat crown.

    • Yea is true when buhari’s wife was lamenting as she was no longer comfortable wit her husband style of leadership. People dat assisted her husband during d campaign r not benefiting frm his leadership. However, buhari responded dat his wife belongs to his kitchen n other rooms. Whc means dat his wife shd not intervene or kno nothing abt politics

  4. Hahahahaha we ve a deaf president ooo, if dis man cn say dis to his wife den no nid of we hoping dt dis woes will b over

  5. I don’t blame Buhari a bit. I understand that he has a mental problem and an ear virus, so I wouldn’t expect him to behave well. Even a mentally deranged person looking for food from a dustbin, understands the command ‘get out’. But it’s a pity that Buhari’s mental disorder is laced with deafness. Do we blame the gods? If Buhari’s official age is 75, then what is his actual age? His brain has shrink, and there is no known medications that can energize it. He can never make a good decision, not a better or great decision. His wife understands that Nigeria isn’t a ‘village meeting’ where the oldest man will always support the decision of a wicked man he loves. We voted for him, and we can also cast a vote of no confidence. May his brain transplant be possible.

    • The gods are not to blame. The blame goes to the people who voted him even when there is question mark about his educational qualification. You are responsible for the choices you make.
If you think education is expensive try ignorance. We have seen now that ignorance is much more costly than education.
No wonder they kerp having close door meetings with him in order to hide his ignorance. They were not there to cover him in Germany and he goofed.
