In a confusing situation, a woman shared how her friend returned a carrot cake after a vendor mistakenly delivered it instead of the coconut cake she ordered.

According to her, the vendor checked their chats, confirmed the mistake was hers, but pleaded with her friend to accept the carrot cake instead.
When her friend called her to explain what had happened, she told her, “You don’t even eat carrots, so if you accept that cake and you call me crying after eating it, I’ll block you.”

The woman knew her friend would accept the cake after the vendor apologized, but she had to be open without hiding her thoughts so her friend would get what she paid for.
Her friend eventually returned the cake to the vendor, who reportedly tried to gaslight her before eventually issuing a refund and blocking her.
In response, the woman questioned why some business owners expect customers to bear the consequences of their mistakes instead of taking responsibility and making things right.
She added that although an apology is important, saying sorry does not automatically resolve the inconvenience caused to a customer.
