The wife of the Vice-President, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, has joined other well-meaning Nigerians to call for prayers for Nigeria.
She was speaking at the Arise 2016 conference which held recently at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David Parish in Lagos. With the theme, ‘Grace to Grace,’ the event brought together professional women under one umbrella.
In her remarks, Osinbajo noted that “Nigeria is a vibrant and virile land that is full of colour, gold and silver as well as various mineral resources.”
However, she added sadly that the country had not yet reached where it should be at the moment due to some inherent problems.
Mrs. Osinbajo said, “We need to pray for Nigeria because it is not yet there. What God intended for us as a country, we have not yet attained. We must therefore establish the fact that we need God at all times.”
She later offered prayers for the nation.
Also, the wife of the Kwara State Governor, Mrs. Omolewa Ahmed, who led one of the prayer sessions, admonished Nigerians to be forthright in their dealings with one another, if they wanted the country to move forward.
Dignitaries at the event included the wife of the Imo Governor, Mrs. Nneoma Rochas-Okorocha, and her Benue State counterpart, Mrs. Eunice Ortom.
Others were the former deputy governors of Lagos State, Princess Sarah Sosan and Mrs. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire respectively, Honourable Abike Dabiri, and the wife of the Minister for Solid Minerals minister,Mrs. Bisi Fayemi.
