Unknown gunmen believed to be assassins have murdered the son of a PDP chieftain in Benue state, Prince Yandev Amaabai, Orkuma Amaabai.
According to reports, Orkuma was assassinated by some alleged political thugs last night at his residence in the state shortly after returning from a sit out with friends.
Prince Yandev Amaabai was the Director in charge of Security of the State PDP campaign council and was very instrumental to the success of the party in the just concluded general elections.
Confirming the incident, the state police command spokesperson, DSP Catherine Anene, said investigation into the matter is ongoing and appealed to anyone with useful information that will aid the police in its investigation, to come forward.
