Bukom Banku is Ghanaian professional boxer with an undefeated record. He was dark skinned but totally bleached and his pictures have now gone viral.
The comments come after a picture of the professional Ghanaian boxer made rounds on social media with people asking questions.
He recently took to Facebook to lash out at critics asking how it concerns them if he bleaches..He refers to himself as Africa’s Mayweather..See Below:
Recall, Bukom Banku in an interview with Radio Gold spoke about his ‘bleaching’ pictures:
“I am bleaching my skin because when John Mahama wins 2016 elections, he will make me Ghana’s ambassador to Germany. I am bleaching myself for German people to know that German people and Bukom Banku are one.
“Bleaching can’t affect my skin because I have a very good skin. Again, rashes can’t affect me because I am using Cleaning Claire and I am taking medicine as well.
“So if you see me now, you will observe that I am from Germany. I want Ghanaians to know that I am a German now. I am at Ho right now with the President, John Mahama, at Okudzeto Ablakwa’s constituency.
“If I don’t bleach they won’t give me that position. And if you see me now I look fresh because of President John Mahama.”
The boxer also asked fans and the people of Ghana not to worry as he has a plan for his bleaching.
Bukom Banku continued:
“People shouldn’t be worried. I am changing my system for a while. I want to tell Ghanaians not to worry about me. I will bleach till August and then stop.”
Banku also stressed he was putting his boxing career on hold to campaign for President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC government for the 2016 elections.
The boxer has been a major figure of media spotlight over the years with most of them emerging from his rivalry with another Ghanaian boxer Ayitey Powers.
