A Nigerian man, Jeremy has taken to Twitter to recount how being kind paid off for him years after a good deed.
According to Jeremy he housed a friend sometime ago because his rent had expired, however, the table turned and the man he housed years ago is now “housing him”.
Jeremy opined that one good turn deserves another, and urged his followers to be kind because the world is a small place.
Sharing the story, he tweeted,
“Sometime ago I housed someone because his rent expired. Today the same person is housing me because I got a new job in his city and I am still house hunting. The world is a small place, be kind to people.”
His tweet has stirred reaction on the micro-blogging platform, as many users have also shared their personal experiences of when kindness paid off.
“2015 when I was new here, someone housed me in his 1 room apartment for 7 months. I housed him from later 2017 to early 2019 in a bigger and batter apartment and he moved to a bigger and better one in late 2019”.
“A while back when I was starting a new job at Potchefstroom, one female friend said she doesn’t want visitors, the other said she’s got a guest, I was accommodated by my male friend for the whole month, guy gave me his bedroom while he used an Airbed”.
