Media personality, Shade Ladipo has commended the character and values of popular singer, Florence Otedola aka DJ Cuppy.
Shade took to Instagram to rate the billionaire’s daughter on a scale of 1-100. According to her, DJ Cuppy’s music is poor but her values and character is topnotch. She stated that Nigerians need to give her more credit because she is a real one.
She added that a solid character will take a person further than talent and since DJ Cuppy’s character is great, she will eventually discover her true talent.

A 15-year old girl, Aisha Jibrin, who was allegedly locked up in a room by her parents for 10 years, has been rescued by the Kano state police command.
According to the spokesperson of the state police command, Abdullahi Kiyawa, Aisha was confined in a room at her parents home, in the Darerawa Quarters of Fagge Local Government Area of Kano State, without proper feeding and healthcare.
Kiyawa, revealed her mother, Rabi Muhammad, has been taken into custody but the father has fled.
A statement released by the spokesperson reads,
“The Kano State Police Command wishes to inform members of the general public that on the 19/04/2021 at about 1100hrs, information received revealed that one Aisha Jibrin, ‘f’, 15 years old of Darerawa Quarters, Fagge LGA Kano State was solitarily confined for ten (10) years in a room by her biological parents, one Mohd Jibrin, ‘m’, and Rabi Mohd, ‘f’, of the same address inside their house without proper feeding and health care.
On receipt of the report, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, fsi raised and instructed a Medical Team and a team of Detectives to proceed to the scene, rescue the victim and arrest the culprits.
The teams immediately swung in to action. The victim was rescued and rushed to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital Kano and admitted”.
“The case has been transferred to the Police Criminal Investigation Department for investigation on the order of the police commissioner”. He added.

The actress in a recent Instagram post revealed she decided to share her pregnancy journey with the public to prevent any doubt about her pregnancy.

A 20-year-old suspected kidnapper, Ahmad Muhammad, has opened up on how he and his accomplices carry out their evil act.
According to Muhammad who was arrested at Wasinmi, a village along Ife/Ibadan Expressway, he lives along expressways so that it will be easy for him and other members of his gang to abduct their victims.
While being paraded at the police headquarters in Osogbo, Muhammad said he is a member of a seven-man gang of kidnappers who abducts passengers on the expressway, adding that he was arrested during a shoot-out with police.
In his words,
“We kidnapped two people along Ibadan/Gbongan Expressway after we made a roadblock. The police were alerted and they faced my gang in a gun battle during which my other gang members ran away with the kidnapped victims. It is painful that my other gang members left me alone in that bush and ran away.
It was easy for the police to arrest me because I don’t know the routes in that bush and I could not trace my steps to the place where my other gang members escaped to.”
The suspect said his other gang members are Fulanis and gave their names as Alhaji, Buba, Siraju, Sadiq, Saidu.
“My gang members are all Fulani and they are not new in the business, it is a means of survival. I don’t have a shelter, I live along the expressway. I live on the road to make operation easy”, Muhammad said.

In an interview with BBC Pidgin, the 24-year-old lady, Rose John, said she and her husband, Monday Itu, dated for five years and that they met when she was 19-years-old. Rose said when their relationship became very serious, her family were against it because of his disability.
She said
“My boyfriend and I have been together for five years. We started dating when I was 19-year-old. I was in senior secondary school two (SS2) when I met him.
The first time he talked to me, I turned down his advances. The next day, he sent his friends to Ughelli, Delta state, where I was living at the time to plead with me on his behalf. It was at that point that I agreed to date him. After that, he came to meet me and we got along in a serious relationship.
When I took my boyfriend to my family house, they felt bad. They even slapped and cursed me before chasing both of us away from the compound.
They were questioning why I chose to marry such person when there is no one in the family with similar condition. So, they insisted that I cannot marry the man but I told them that he is the one that I want to spend the rest of my life with.”

The husband, Monday described Rose as a blessing to him, adding that his life would have been miserable without her.

A Nigerian fashion designer, Labi Rhodes, has taken to Twitter to share his survival story five years after he was diagnosed with HIV.
Labi, who is an openly-gay man, said he started taking his medication two months after his diagnosis and became undetectable within a year.
Undetectable viral load is where antiretroviral treatment (ART) has reduced HIV to such small quantities that it can no longer be detected by standard blood tests. People with HIV undetectable viral load can’t pass HIV on through sex. However, being undetectable does not mean the HIV is cured.
According to him, people ghosted on him, discriminated and blackmailed him when they found out about his status. However, he noted that has also received massive love and support from good friends and family.
He wrote;
“Today 5 years ago, I received my HIV diagnosis. From my sister! Technically everyone in my immediate family knew before I did. I was told my brother almost fainted when he was told. I was calm in the midst of it all. Started my ARVs 2months after.”
“And in less than a year, I became undetectable. Over the course of five years, I’ve had a range of experiences. There were people who loved me no matter what and for that, I’m grateful. There were people I had to educate and I’m thankful that they learnt one or two things.
“There were some that just didn’t get the gist. Some would ghost immediately I told them. Some would come with crazy excuses. Some tried to shame/blackmail me..lol. In all, I’m thankful for life. For growth. For friends. For support systems
