Nigerian Singer, Peruzzi, has finally reacted to claims that he is the brain behind most Davido songs.
Ever since Peruzzi got signed to Davido’s DMW, there have been claims that he’s worked a double shift as Davido’s de-facto songwriter, and it has constantly been a topic for social media debate.
In an interview with Beat99.9Fm, Peruzzi revealed that it is not such a bad practice.

Mixed reactions have trailed the report of two Nigerian “housekeepers” who reportedly converted to Islam in Tripoli, Libya.
The country’s local media, The Libya Observer, took to Facebook to share photos of the women after they converted to Islam on Wednesday, April 14.
However, the news has been met with mixed reactions on social media with some netizensexcited that the women chose Islam which is believed to be the “true religion”, while others claimed that the women were either under duress or converted because of money or work.

Controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze has reacted to the viral photos of a South African man who defaced his car to announce his divorce.
It was earlier reported that the man whose divorce was finalised on Monday, April 12th, defaced his car with several inscriptions to announce the end of his marriage. ICYMI
In reaction to the photos, Daddy Freeze, who also had a bad marriage which ended in divorce, took to his Instagram page to reveal that he was also excited after his divorce was finalized.
The on-air personality has once described his failed marriage as “horrible” and advocated for Christians to embrace divorce. According to him, divorce is a blessing and he is a living testimony.

Nigerian indigenous rapper, Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, better known as CDQ, has reacted after he was allegedly assaulted by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
Following his encounter with men of the Drug Law Enforcement Agency, the rapper via his Instagram page alleged that although some unnamed individuals are trying to set him up, although he did not give a detailed account of what transpired.
“No sleep for the wicked 👽 iyalaya yin o ni sun for dis Lagos… They tryna set me up today but Olohun wa”, he wrote.
Meanwhile, a netizen identified as wilmerafrica who claimed to have witnessed the incident also gave his own side of the story.

“I WAS THERE LIVE They stormed his house claiming right to search his place saying they are from NDLEA Lagos branch and that they were there to search for drugs based on the information they got. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has claimed that Nigerian Rapper, popularly known as CDQ was arrested for being in possession of Cannabis.
The spokesperson of the agency, Femi Babafemi, told PUNCH that the agency got intelligence that the rapper was in possession of the banned substance locally known as “Loud” and stormed his Lekki home and arrested him. Babafemi said he has been granted bail but is expected back into custody today as he is still under investigation.
In his words ;
“Yes, CDQ was arrested in his house at Lekki for being in possession of cannabis. He was arrested based on intelligence. As of last night, he was granted administrative bail, but he is expected back into custody today because it is an ongoing investigation.
Some substances were found and he mentioned some names of some other big artistes. So, it is an ongoing investigation.” Babafemi further noted that CDQ cooperated as he mentioned names of other big artistes who used the substance. The spokesman told The PUNCH that the outcome of the investigation would determine if the rapper would be charged to court or counselled by the agency.
The outcome of the investigation would determine what would happen. There are cases whereby the investigation shows some sufficient infractions, and then the case will go to court. There are other cases whereby if the quantity is insignificant, we will bring him in for counselling and possible rehabilitation. Those are likely scenarios that will happen.”

Barely a week after an upcoming artiste, Wisekid was called out for allegedly impersonating Nigerian singer, Wizkid, another artiste has been exposed for replicating Davido’s album.
The yet-to-be-identified artiste was exposed by media personality, Adesope, who shared a screenshot of the page as proof to back up his claim.
The artiste did a replica of Davido’s “A Better time” album on Apple music and named it A Best Time.
The cover art of the page shows the face of a child while the cover name has Davido’s name spelt as DaVIDO.
Taking to the micro-blogging platform, Adesope exposed the treacherous act and also reached out to the DMW boss’ manager, to draw his attention to the scam.
”What’s going on here ? This is crazyyyyyyyyyy. This has to be pulled down immediately cc @davido @AsaAsika @bizzleosikoya,” the media personality tweeted.

A 41-year-old woman, Oluwakemi Odugbesan, has been murdered only weeks before she was to relocate to Canada with her family.
According to reports she was murdered by suspected armed robbers around Oduntan in Ketu, Lagos. She was said to be returning from a vigil at 6am on Saturday, April 10th, which happened to be her husband’s birthday, when she was accosted by the robbers.
In an attempt to take her phone and handbag, she was stabbed multiple times on the chest and ribs.
According to The Nation, her attackers were the ones who called her relatives with her phone to inform them she was fatally injured.
On receiving the call, her relatives were said to have dashed to the scene and immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The deceased, her husband and three children were billed to relocate to Canada in few weeks before her unfortunate death.
Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Lagos Police Command, Spokesperson, revealed the case has been transferred to the homicide section, State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation.
A Nigerian man has advised people to be mindful of what they consume in public restaurants after he had an unpleasant experience.

Last Sunday, I left home for church as early as 7am. Service ended at about 11:30 am and I started my journey home. On my way, I decided to patronize a restaurant not too far from home because I needed to fix myself before settling down to prepare my favourite Sunday meal(Rice and Stew).
The previous day, (Saturday) was hectic for me. I was tired and hungry because I returned home late after a busy Saturday outing, went to bed hungry because I didn’t have the strength to start cooking and even if I did, it was too late to eat something heavy at 9:30 pm. So I held myself till service was over.
When I arrived, I ordered for eguisi mixed with bitterleaf soup. I began to help myself with the delicacy before me. Alas! See what I found midway. A big hook. I was completely taken aback. I was filled with shock, resentment and disbelief. What if I had ingested it innocently? What if it got stuck in my throat? Many questions popped up in a rapid succession.
Consequently, I quietly sought the attention of the lady that served me. In disappointment, I asked “madam, how could you guys be this negligent?” What a breach of duty of care! This is a new restaurant open to the general public. You ought to apply excellence in your service delivery and shun recklessness.
I just didn’t want to draw the attention of other customers to the conversation that was going on. She apologized and explained that it was stuck in the stockfish they bought from their supplier. I just paid her and left.
I have pondered over it in the last 2 days and have realized how much God loves and cares about me even in my imperfections.

Ghanaian actress, Rosemond Brown otherwise known as Akuapem Poloo has been convicted over the nude photoshoot she had with her 7-year-old son in 2020.
The actress who had shared her naked pictures with her son on social media on June 30, 2020, was arraigned on three count of publication of obscene materials, engaging in domestic violence, a conduct that in any way undermines another person’s privacy or integrity and engaging in domestic violence namely conduct that in any way detracts or is likely to detract from another person’s dignity and worth as a human being.
The Actress pleaded “not guilty” when was first arraigned but changed it “guilty” when rearraigned on Wednesday April 14. She was then convicted by Her Honour, Christiana Cann of Accra Circuit Court on her own plea.
Her sentencing will be read on Friday, 16th April, 2021.

A 25-year-old Nigerian man to death for illegally moving narcotic substances into the country from Cambodia.
The man identified as Unachukwu Chiluba Paulinus was arrested on February 19, 2020, in the Ta Pheng area of Thuan Tay hamlet in Loi Thuan commune, Ben Cau district, while transporting nearly 3 kilogrammes of methamphetamine.
Paulinus told police that he arrived in Cambodia in 2019, where he met an African man called Oscar who hired him to transport the drugs from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City for 2,000 USD. He was paid 650 USD in advance.
He also confessed to having earlier transported a backpack containing drugs from Cambodia to HCM City, which he delivered to an unknown man.

A trending video on social media has enraged netizens as it captured the moment a black man was harrasted by a white family for simply taking a walk in the neighbourhood.
In the video, Jonathan and his family are seen harassing and threatening a young black man, named Deandre, who explained he was just taking a walk in the neighbourhood in Columbia, South Carolina.
Jonathan asked the man to walk out of the neighbourhood and hinted at violence if he doesn’t.
The black man then went on to explaoin that he lives in the neighbourhood but Jonathan and his family rebutted his claim, saying ; “You’re in the wrong neighbourhood, motherf**ker.”
