Obafemi Martins has finally broken his silence on his alleged beef with Burna Boy, a story that was reported by rapper, CDQ.

CDQ, had taken to Twitter to call out Burna Boy for reportedly disrespecting Obafemi at the club.

In CDQ’s words ;

”I still can’t phantom this an artist just disrespected Obagoal on thinking he’s now bigger n say e don get mouth pass Obafemi Martins and I imagine how he was able to go back home n sleep comfortably without conscience in this same Lagos igbagbè manshe awa eda ooo

Burna for the first time I’m disappointed in u!!!!! U and ur boys need to go apologize to Obagoal now! No let dem dey deceive u wit ur village title say african gi-ant com dey disrespect Oba Eko lonpe bi. Obafemi Martins is not anybody’s mate. if we dey cry make we dey see

Martins confirmed that there was a misunderstanding but he played it down saying it was resolved that same day and it’s

Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu has claimed that $2 million and N17 million were stolen from his palace during the #EndSARS crisis in 2020.

The Monarch who spoke at the Glover Hall Memorial in Lagos on Wednesday March 3, stated that the loss Lagos suffered during the crisis is so enormous than in any other part of the country.

In his words ;

“I will support anything that will move Lagos forward. I have appealed to the Federal Government to assist Lagos with what we have suffered. The incident that happened here from October 20th to 23rd is so saddening.

“The destruction we suffered in Lagos is so enormous than in any other part of the country.

“Many buildings were burnt, including vehicles used to generate income. I can now say publicly that they stole away from my palace $2 million and N17 million.

“Those who committed the offence would not have done that if they knew the implication. But as a father, I won’t place any curse on them.”

Veteran Nollywood actor and TV broadcaster, Sadiq Abubakar Daba, known simply as Sadiq Daba has reportedly died on Wednesday, March 3.

According to NTA2 Lagos Network Centre, he died this evening around 8:30pm after battling for leukaemia and cancer for years.

In 2017, the veteran was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia and later prostate cancer for which he underwent several treatments.

May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Rapper, CDQ claims he was stabbed by Burna Boy’s squad over Obafemi Martins drama (Video)

A video making the rounds on social media shows the moment Nigerian Rapper, CDQ bled profusely from a stab wound he reportedly sustained from Burna Boy’s squad over the Obafemi Martins saga.

Recall some days back, CDQ had taken to Twitter to call out Burna Boy, claiming he disrespected former Super Eagles player, Obafemi Martins.

More details were not given as regards the issue but they were later seen in another post, having fun at the same club and people thought the hatchet had been buried.

However, going by the voice recording in the video, it is gathered that CDQ was reportedly stabbed by a guy who is always with Burna. He was hospitalized and needed two pints of blood to recover. He was later invited to the club appearance as damage control.

Speaking in Yoruba, he says, “It was Burna and his squad, led by a guy named Richie who later got stabbed as well. I made sure that he bled. [My People] questioned Burna’s sanity to do this in Lagos; not Port Harcourt or London.”

Popular Nigerian OAP, Victor Nwaogu, better known as Nkubi and his wife, Ofoegbu Vivian Nkeiruka, have shared their love story on how they met. The couple who revealed they’re married traditionally after dating for two years, told BBC Pidgin that they met on Facebook.

According to Vivian, she saw Nkubi on her Friend’s Facebook wall and went through his profile, and decided to send him a friend request. He responded and they began texting.

Though she reached out first, Nkubi said he was the first one to say, “I love you.”

Vivian admitted that people may give them funny looks because of her husband’s physique but she doesn’t care.

Reactions have trailed popular Nigerian singer, Davido’s performance on American late-night talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The DMW boss gave fans a thrilling performance of his hit songs, ”Assurance” and ”Jowo” on Wednesday, March 3. He rocked the mic and gave a satisfying show with his live band.

However, Netizens have taken to social media to peddle speculations that the singer performed “Assurance” in reaction to the heated “cheating” allegation that trended over the weekend.

Recall that the father-of-three was spotted holding hands with an Instagram model and Young M.A’s ex-girlfriend, Mya Yafai, which sparked outrage on social media.

Sequel to the allegation, Davido made a tweet about ” valuing one’s peace of mind” but he didn’t address the issue directly.

Nigerian man dies a day after his wedding

A young Nigerian man identified as Ango Adamu has died mysteriously just a day after his wedding.

It was gathered that the deceased got married on Friday, February 26 in Matumbi, Niger State and died the following Saturday, February 27.

A friend of the deceased identified as Usman Mohd Chiroma, said it was a “sudden death”

In his words ;

“Indeed, death is the destroyer of pleasures. The first frame is the face of late Adamu and his beautiful Bride; he died a day after his wedding. The second picture was taken during his Janaiza prayer,” Chiroma wrote on Monday, March 1.

“May Jannah be his final abode and may Allah give his new wife ( Now Widow) and the entire family members fortitude to bear this shocking loss”

Nigerian comedian and actor, Debo Adebayo popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has gone all out for his mother as he celebrates her birthday in a grand style.

The Instagram skit maker engaged the services of a professional gift and surprise company to organize a mini-ceremony in her honour.

The human rights activist gifted his mom a tall money cake and hired a Yoruba ‘oriki’ chanter to eulogize her with words of praise. In one of the videos spotted online, she knelt down with her hands on the floor as she worshipped God.

Macaroni’s mother danced with joy and excitement as the drummers played beautiful tunes and at a point, she broke down in tears at the overwhelming display of love by her son.

In other news, Popular Nigerian Instagram comedian, Mr Macaroni has revealed he once tried auditioning for the BBNaija reality show, and has taken to social media to share his experience.

According to comic act, he went for the Big Brother Naija audition on February 1st, 2019, as he believed the reality show would bring him to limelight and help his career.

Recounting his audition experience in a lengthy Facebook post titled, “this is my story”, Marcaroni revealed he got to the audition center as early as 4:01am but still met over 800 people already at the venue.

After much waiting, the entrance gate finally opened and everybody rushed, including himself to gain entrance into the hall.

The struggle for the golden opportunity of auditioning was much, and was indeed the survival of the fittest.

However, after a lot of struggle, the comic actor didn’t get auditioned and was left with no choice than to quit his BBNaija dream.

iROKOtv boss, Jason Njoku has said that school fees of 4.6 million Naira is cheap and he pays more for his 3-year-old’s Montessori school.

A Twitter user with handle @ugodre had taken to the platform to share a photo of the provisional bill for a school in Epe, Lagos State, with school fees of 4,643, 901 Naira.

The man noted that the school is great but questioned if the exorbitant fee is actually worth it.

Reacting to the post, Jason Njoku, who has 3 children, said the N4.6 million naira fee is super cheap for a boarding school and he pays way more for his kid.

He wrote,

“Most Nigerians don’t realize but most things in Nigeria are actually super cheap by African (forget global standards). For Tier 1 education in Africa (forget about globally) this for boarding school is cheap. I pay more for my 3-year old’s montessori school.”

Lady treks from Ikeja to Mile 12 after man she met on social media punished her for refusing to get intimate

A Nigerian lady has taken to Twitter to lament after she had to trek from Ikeja to Mile 12, when a man she met on the platform refused to give her transport fare back home.

According to the lady identified as Horlamide, she visited a male friend she met on Twitter in his house in Ikeja, an act she regretted. Horlamide noted that on getting there, the man tried to touch her, but she declined which made him refuse to give her transport fare to go back home as promised.

She revealed that the man had promised to pay her transport fare on her visit as she was broke at the time.

However, she turned down his repeated sexual advances, and this got him angry. To punish her, he refused to give her the fare as promised.

Horlamide who vowed never to visit any man she meet on the app, revealed she trekked from Ikeja to Mile 12 that day as she had no money on her.

Lagos pastor accused of raping 14-year-old member allegedly sells church building and flees to unknown location

A Lagos-based pastor, accused of raping a member’s 14-year-old daughter for years, has allegedly sold his church building and fled to an unknown location to start another church.

Chris McDouglas Omosokpea of Peculiar Generation Assembly Church, Oshodi, Lagos, is facing a charge for the rape of his member’s teen daughter.

It was gathered that the pastor had allegedly sexually abused the girl over the course of four years.

He was arrested in June 2020 by officers of the Makinde Police Station where the family of the victim reported the matter. He was then granted bail on health grounds before the Lagos High Court.

The case came up again on Tuesday, March 2, before the Presiding Magistrate, Kubeinje, at Ogba Magistrates Court, Lagos, but Omosokpea was conspicuously absent while the complainant and some members of his church were present, according to SaharaReporters.

The matter was adjourned till April 21, 2021.

The publication adds that when members went to the church, they were shocked to find it had been demolished by the new buyer.

Some members of the church expressed their shock over how Omosokpea sold the church without informing them after he had convinced them that he was innocent of the allegation of defilement.

Before he was arrested, the victim claimed the pastor deceived her with fake prophecies and she kept the abuses away from her parents, who had been members of the church for over 12 years.

However, when she became suicidal, her parents persuaded her to open up.

It was then she told her parents that Pastor Douglas had abused her for the past four years and instilled fear into her not to tell anyone.

Omosokpea has allegedly established another church in an undisclosed location at Lekki, Lagos, SaharaReporters claim.

Burna Boy set to perform at the 2021 Grammy Award premiere ceremony

Award-winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy is set to perform at the 2021 Grammy pre-show which will be livestreamed on the official website, GRAMMY.com, on March 14.

The self acclaimed “African Giant” will perform alongside Lido Pimienta, Poppy, Rufus Wainwright, and others.

Burnaboy is also one of the nominees in the Best Global Music Category, with Tuareg desert rock group Tinariwen, NYC afrobeat outfit Antibalas, Brazilian-American Bebel Gilberto, and British-Indian sitar player Anoushka Shankar.

The Best Global Music Category was previously known as international category of Best World Music Album, but was renamed in the 63rd annual ceremony to “make it more modern and inclusive.”

This is the singer’s second Grammy nomination. Recall that his previous album, African Giant, was nominated at the 62nd Grammy Awards for ‘Best World Music Album’, but he lost to Angélique Kidjo.

In other news, Popular Nigerian singer, Burna Boy has acquired a brand new Rolls-Royce Dawn estimated to worth about 140 million naira.

The two-time Grammy nominee, took to his Instagram page to flaunt the new convertible twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V-12 engine with 563 horsepower to his collection of cars.

MC Oluomo’s son, identified as king_westt on Instagram, took to his Insta stories to send an important message to people who tag his father “a tout”.

According to King Westt everyone needs a father like his, while he listed the outstanding qualities MC Oluomo portrays.

The actress who welcomed her baby in December 2020, had earlier taken to social media to share an adorable video of her daughter, Christabel, trying to suck her grandfather’s breast.

Apparently, the little one thought the breast was her mother’s so she was struggling to put it in her mouth and suckle on it.

However, this didn’t go down well with social media critics who read meaning into the adorable video and dragged the actress for posting such on the internet.

An Instagram critic, mb_nationz wrote, “Nor be everything dem suppose dey post for social media o”.

Another critic, Phil Best wrote, “I can understand been grandad. Why topless carrying a grand child. Baby girl for that matter. To me not funny”.

Controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye a.k.a Bobrisky has once again taken to social media to brag about his extravagant lifestyle.

In a post shared via Instagram, the self acclaimed “Nigerian Barbie” shared a screenshot of his airtime and data balance notification. From the photo, he had N148k worth of unused airtime on his mobile phone.

Bobrisky went on to brag about how his airtime balance is some people’s bank account balance. He added that the balance is equivalent to some people’s house rent.

However, Bob noted that he was only joking with the post and he remains his humble self.

Some Nigerians rendered help to an elderly woman who started convulsing while driving along the Lekki-Epe expressway on Tuesday night, March 2nd.

According to a Twitter user, @OgbeniOloyede, who took to the platform to raise the alarm, the woman was driving along the Lekki-Epe expressway when she started convulsing.

“If you can send help, a woman on lekki epe express way ( after chisco bus stop ) she’s having combustion, she’s not responding to anything, her doors are locked as well as windows, 767 is not responding, we need ambulance and police”. He tweeted.

However, @ogbenioloyede in an updated post, revealed they were able to reach the woman’s son who was close by and came to take her home.

In his words,

“We’ve been able to get her son to take her home, just know that this isn’t a country Thank y’all”.

He also disclosed that it was the fuel in the elderly woman’s tank that caused the convulsion.

Popular Nollywood actress, Mosun Filani Oduoye, has shared her thoughts on people depriving themselves of some things in order to save.

According to her, once they die, someone else would spend all the resources they saved.

Mosun said they should buy that hair, shoe or clothes they like because problems never end

Taking to her verified Instagram page, the film maker said that it is a good thing to save but also reminded them that the money they were saving, thereby depriving themselves of things, would be spent by other people once they die.

Sad! 35-year-old woman and her four children die in Jos house fire

A 35-year-old woman, identified as Ebere Precious Ogbodo and her four children lost their lives to a deadly fire house fire in Jos, Plateau state.

It was gathered that the tragic incident happened on Thursday night, February 25th in Gyel community, Jos South Local Government Area of the state.

The children died instantly while their mother was rushed to Dee Medical Center in Bukuru, where she passed away the following day.

The cause of the fire is still unknown but speculations attributed it to electrical fault.

Recounting the sad incident, the husband and father of the children, Philip Ogbodo said the fire gutted the house an hour after he left to watch a football match at a viewing center in the area.

He revealed that on his way back he saw neighbours battling with the flames in his house.

The deceased mother and her four will be laid to rest on Thursday, March 4th, 2021, in their hometown, Ndiagu Amodu Awkunanaw in Nkanu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
