“Why I didn’t celebrate my wife’s birthday on social media” – Mike Bamiloye

Drama Evangelist, Mike Bamiloye has revealed why he refused to celebrate his wife on social media when she turned 57 on February 4th, 2021.

According to the Founder and President of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, he resisted the urge to shower praises on his wife, Gloria Bamiloye on social media for fear of backlash by “social media militants”.

Mike Bamiloye recalled how the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, received heavy backlash on social media months ago for praising his wife, Foluke Adeboye.

He opened up about restraining himself from showering encomium on his wife who has similar qualities with Folu Adeboye, when he remembered how feminists on social media attacked Pastor Adeboye, last year for listing out his wife’s wonderful qualities on social media.

In series of thread on Twitter, Mike Bamiloye wrote,

“Sometimes ago, when My Daddy, Pastor Enoch Adeboye said Mummy Folu Adeboye is very humble and submissive, the Internet and Social Media broke loose and some bees of people went after him.
talking against him and dragging him.

“When I saw what the Social Media militants did to him, I too could not Post the Post I wanted to Post about my Wife. I had wanted to Post that My Wife, Mummy Olusola Gloria, resemble My Mummy, Folu Adeboye in Humility and Submission and that is why I am still enjoying my Marriage of 33 Years.

“Up till now I am still not able to Post the Post I wanted to Post that Sister Gloria is very humble and Submissive in her husband’s house. I am still waiting for the day I will Post the Post I wanted to Post.

A young Nigerian lady has taken to social media to lament after facing several rejections and insults due to her skin colour.

The beautiful lady, Mariam Besty Sule who is dark skinned, revealed that the society has made her so uncomfortable in her skin, that she resorted to editing her photos before posting them on social media platforms.

According to her she has lost several job opportunities due to her complexion and some people jokingly call her names like “black board”.

In a lengthy Facebook post, she wrote,

“I’m very uncomfortable in my own skin, I edit my pictures lighter than my skin color because of how the society makes me feel about it,” she wrote on Thursday, February 18.

“A lot of time I was called different names as joke, but I noticed I was actually affected by it.. the ridiculous jokes of “black board or color of their black shirt” or you’re too black, I can’t give birth to a black child.

“I’ve gotten rejected for jobs because of my skin color and got insulted jokingly.

“Stop saying hurtful things to black women under the disguise of joke because they are colorist statements and you are a colorist,”

“Black is beautiful and I’ve learnt to love it and you will respect it.
Black is beautiful and deserves to be in all shows!”

A man, identified as Success Ikenna Umezina, has shed more light on the circumstances surrounding the issue of the pastor who allegedly cancelled the wedding of a couple who arrived late to church.

It was earlier reported that Essay Ogorry, the lead pastor of Fulfilling World Foundation, a popular church in Rivers state, reportedly died on Tuesday, February 16th, at the age of 55.

The report of the man’s death created a buzz on social media and netizens shared their two cents about the issue.

However, new details has been shared online by Success. According to him, the late pastor had been seriously ill before the wedding and was undergoing treatment in Abuja.

He alleged that due to the medical condition of the pastor, he wanted to delegate the officiation of the wedding to another pastor, but the groom insisted that he should officiate his wedding and he obliged.

On the wedding day, the pastor got to the church and waited for the couple to arrive but they were late. He placed a call through to them, but there was no response.

After waiting for a while, he retired to his office and asked the couple to be joined in his office after they arrived at the church. The bride, who was overwhelmed by the situation burst into uncontrollable tears, thus creating a scene.

Netizens have dug out an old tweet of popular Nigerian female singer, Tiwa Savage stylishly shooting her shot at colleague, Wizkid.

In the old tweet, dated far back 2011, the mother of one publicly wished she was younger, so that the ojuelegba crooner could take her on a date, while she professed her love for him.

Wizkid initially tweeted, “Happy birthday to my fav female vocalist out of [email protected] ur day mami..wizzy ♥’s u..bless!”

In response, Tiwa Savage wrote, “@wizkidayo my baby. Thank u sooo much. I wish I was a few years younger today so u can take me on a date lol. Love u hun”

Former Miss Nigeria, Helen Prest Ajayi has disclosed the trauma she went through after her husband, Dr Oluwatosin Ajayi’s death.

Dr. Ajayi, who died on April 26, 2020, was laid to rest on Feb 11 at the Ebony Vault in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Helen said she was accused of murdering him by his adult children and there was commotion during the funeral.

She wrote on Facebook ;

This is the first day of Lent a time for spiritual healing and cleansing. This will be my last word on this matter.

It was never my wish to talk about the passing of my late husband Dr Tosin Ajayi on social media, despite the fact that during this 10 month period, from his death on April 26th 2020, I was accused of murdering him by his adult children and their mother, after spending 42 days in St Nicholas Hospital Lagos, by his bedside and dragged to Panti police station, then to Coroners court and then to High court.

I am thankful that God delivered me from all these false accusations and gave me victory to bury my late husband in the manner he deserved.

I want to express my gratitude to those men and women of God praying with me during these trying moments. I am also grateful for the unflinching support of my family and friends all over the world, who stood by me, even the “Aprokos” propagating me to stardom.

Throughout this 10 month period my sole focus and objective was to ensure that I gave my late husband a befitting burial in accordance with his status as an Icon in the healthcare field in Nigeria, which I am happy I achieved in his honour. Love is at the heart of everything in life. For God is love and Love is God.

She shared screenshots of the chat between herself and the said legislator who identified himself as honourable Obinna.

Based on their chat, it was revealed that the man obtained her number by sending her an email regarding a business proposal.

According to reports, the accident occurred around 11.50am at Atoyo inbound Ogbere, along Ijebu Ode/Benin Expressway in Ogun state. Unfortunately, four persons were burnt to dead in the fire.

Residents of Texas have been seen in a viral video lining up to fetch water amid days of blackout in the state occasioned by failure in natural gas operations.

According to operators, the bulk of the power loss in Texas came from natural gas suppliers as pipelines froze, making it difficult for plants to get the fuel they needed.

Electricity is normally used to pump water into the homes of residents but since the outage, many have resorted to seeking alternative ways of accessing their daily needs.

A Nigerian digital strategist and influencer has surprised his girlfriend with an expensive present on valentine’s day.

The man identified as @Chemicalbrodar on Twitter, bought a brand new Toyota car and presented it to his woman on February 14.

He recorded a video of the moment he showed her the brand new car, which he described as a little Valentine’s Day gift.

In the clip, the young man used his hand to cover her eyes as he led her from inside the house to the street where the car is packaged.

According to him, the car was bought for her so that she would no longer be taking the bus. The excited girlfriend could be seen hugging the car and her man in appreciation of the gift.

Sharing the video, @Chemicalbrodar wrote;

”Little Valentine’s for her gift so she doesn’t have to use the bus again”

Nigerian singing sensation, Davido seems to not be in good terms with former Big Brother Naija housemate, Nengi few months after the latter made an appearance in his “jowo” video.

In December of last year, Davido premiered the visuals of his song, “Jowo” off his “A Better Time” album which featured Nengi alongside Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo.

Sharing details that led to the development, Nengi took to her Twitter page to share that Davido sent her a personal message, informing her that he wanted her on a project.

According to her, she had no idea what she was going to do specifically, but the Fem crooner asked her to contact his manager for further details.

Popular Nigerian comedian, Bovi Ugboma known better as just, Bovi has reacted after controversial investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo spoke abut dreaming of his death.

Madam Kemi recently took to her Twitter page to share that she dreamt about Bovi, and how everyone in her dream kept on saying he was dead.

She added that after she woke up, she googled his name only to find out that he is a Nigerian comedian.

A Nigerian guy recently took to Twitter to share of the time another man bought his girlfriend an iPhone X worth over N250k, insisting that his girlfriend deserves more than the N31k Infinix Hot 3 he was about to buy for her.

According to user, @Alan_YourNextBF who shared the story, he revealed that the incident occurred about three years ago at Computer Village in the Lagos state metropolis.

American magazine publication, TIME, released the much anticipated list on Wednesday afternoon, February 17.

Announcing the list on their verified Instagram page, they wrote,

“Introducing the 2021 TIME100 Next, featuring 100 emerging leaders who are shaping the future of entertainment, health, politics, business and more.”
