A 40-year-old suspected ritualist, Adeboye Moshood caught with human parts has been apprehended by The Osun State Police.

The suspect was arrested by a Joint Task Force (JTF) on Tuesday, February 16, in his house at Gbayarin, in Gbongan community, Ayedaade Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered that one of the suspect’s neighbours perceived the odour around his house and alerted others. They challenged him but he refused to answer them. He instead took the sack away from the house and hid it in a nearby bush.

The neighbours reported the matter to the JTF officials in the area. They discovered the sack where he hid it, found decaying human parts inside and arrested the suspect.

“We don’t know where Moshood got the human parts. We just perceived the odour and asked his wife what was smelling in their house. When Moshood realised that we were suspecting him, he took the bag out of the room and kept it at the backyard. That was where the policemen retrieved it.” said one of the neigbours.

Moshood was later paraded at the Police Command Headquarters in Osogbo with the human parts by the State Police Commissioner, Olokode Olawale.

Speaking to newsmen, the suspect said: “I went to Modakeke on Monday and while I was returning, I stopped at Iwaro when I saw a body on the road. I reasoned that some parts would be useful for me. Then I cut them out for money ritual.”

Rafi’atu, the girlfriend of final year student of the Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State, Bashir Abdulalhi, has denied cheating on him, saying it was the deceased, who actually cheated on her.

Recall that YabaLeftOnline reported that the Mathematics student, an indigene of Ungwa Uku Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State, committed suicide by drinking poisonous subsance suspected to be Sniper because his girlfriend allegedly cheated on him with another man.

The incident occurred at his Yalwawa residence, located on the outskirts of the state capital, around 5pm on Monday, February 15.

His friends quickly rushed him to the Rasheed Shekoni Teaching Hospital in the state capital, where he was confirmed dead by doctors on arrival.

Spokesman for the Jigawa State Police Command, DSP Zubairu Ismai, who confirmed the incident, said that the university had commenced investigation to unravel the circumstances that led to it.

Meanwhile, new reports have stated that the deceased took the drastic action because Rafi’atu ended their relationship on Valentine’s Day after she found out that he was cheating on her with another girl.

According to a local journalist, Ahmad Muktar Saleh, who spoke to Rafi’atu and other witnesses, the deceased spent Valentine’s Day with his girlfriend and her friends.

Rafi’atu later found out that Abdul had allegedly been seeing another girl and when she confronted him with an evidence he asked for her forgiveness. She refused to forgive him and ended the relationship there and then.

Same night he sent her a message that if she did not come back to him he will drink Sniper. She deleted the message because she didn’t take it serious.

The best friend narrated that they were together yesterday with both Rafi’atu and Abdul,”

They went to yahuza suya and ate meat and have some drinks on Sunday night. They went further to sahad stores and made some shoppings and return to their home, they separated peacefully on that same day.

What triggered the untimely incident was: he cheated on her; he went to another girl and said he love her after the promise they had earlier and the information came to Rafi’atu. Rafi’atu and her best friend confronted him and asked him why, he was trying to deny, they showed him their evidence.

He then started asking for forgiveness, Rafi’atu replied that she was no longer his girl friend because she can not be sharing him with another lady. She told him that their love relationship is over. They went back home. At same night he sent her a message that if she did not come back to him; he will drink sniper (poison). She deleted the message because she didn’t take it serious.

Consequently, unknown to them he drank sniper (poison) and died at the hospital. They started watching peoples status and they were shocked. They then quickly rushed to the hospital, one of their friends told them not to enter because his family are their and they accepted destiny and go along with the corpse for burial. They rushed to police station and report, the case is now with the police.

She narrated that all information that went viral was designed by someone who hates her. She didn’t spend Valentine with any one and she did not even go to Kano. She still said there are CCTV cameras in sahad that monitor their shopping in that same day. All information going round about cheating him and went to Kano for Valentine is misleading and fake which may lead to panic. They are in Dutse and up to now, they are just waiting for today to answer the call of student’s affairs. I spoke to them on phone and have detailed information about it.

He made a very big mistake, taboo, and abomination which is wrong Islamically and constitutionally wrong. She did not force him to drink sniper neither know when he drank. Justice shall reign on this innocent girl of level 200 (Rafi’atu).

Allah said, no one will be punish for the crime he did not committed.

Convicted international fraudster, Obinwanne Okeke, popularly known as Invictus Obi, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for fraud.

The Nigerian national was sentenced by Chief District Judge, Rebecca Smith, after he was convicted for involvement in a computer-based intrusion fraud scheme that caused approximately $11m in known losses to his victims, according to the judge.

“Through subterfuge and impersonation, Obinwanne Okeke engaged in a multi-year global business email and computer hacking scheme that caused a staggering $11 million in losses to his victims,” said Raj Parekh, Acting U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.

“Today’s sentence further demonstrates EDVA’s and FBI’s worldwide reach in vigorously pursuing justice on behalf of American victims and others and holding international cybercriminals accountable, no matter where they commit their crimes.” Parekh added

Obinwanne Okeke, 33, operated a group of companies known as the Invictus Group based in Nigeria and abroad.

He was listed on the Forbes 30 under 30 category for his business exploits and wealth.

From 2015 to 2019, Okeke and others engaged in a conspiracy to conduct various computer-based frauds. The conspirators obtained and compiled the credentials of hundreds of victims, including victims in the Eastern District of Virginia.

As part of the scheme, Okeke and other conspirators engaged in an email compromise scheme targeting Unatrac Holding Limited, the export sales office for Caterpillar heavy industrial and farm equipment.

In April 2018, one Unatrac executive fell prey to a phishing email that allowed conspirators to capture login credentials. The conspirators sent fraudulent wire transfer requests and attached fake invoices. Okeke participated in the effort to victimise Unatrac through fraudulent wire transfers totaling nearly $11m which was transferred overseas.

Additionally, Okeke engaged in other forms of cyberfraud, including sending phishing emails to capture email credentials, creating fraudulent web pages, and causing other losses to numerous victims.

Speaking after the sentencing, Brian Dugan, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Norfolk Field Office, said, “The FBI will not allow cyber criminals free reign in the digital world to prey on U.S. companies.”

He added: “This sentencing demonstrates the FBI’s commitment to working with our partners at the Department of Justice and our foreign counterparts to locate cyber criminals across the globe and bring them to the United States to be held accountable.”
