An African American couple, Chris Norris and Ka’shawndra have welcomed their first child after almost 17 years of trying.
The new dad took to his Facebook to share the good news and revealed they welcomed their bundle of joy, a baby girl on January 27, 2021.
“After almost 17 years of trying to have a child, my wife and I welcomed a baby girl into this world. Patience Elise Norris 1/27/2021. Our little Aquarius baby.”
“I didn’t know what life was until you were born my twin. If feels too good to see what your mom and I made. We love you so much!”
Chris’ wife, on her part, said almost 17 years of trying makes all the tears worth it. The couple unveiled their baby’s name as Patience Elise Norris.

The two siblings involved in the murder of a makeup artist, identified as Ijeoma Neke, in Enugu have been arrested.
Recall that the lady with Instagram page @wake_n_makeup, was last seen on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, after she left home for a job from which she never returned.
According to reports, she asked to know the venue for the job but was simply instructed to meet the client at a bus stop in Enugu.
After, the client picked her up from the bus stop and was taking her to the job venue, the makeup artist reportedly felt something was wrong and immediately texted the client’s number to her brother. That was the last time Ijeoma’s family heard from her.
People started raising alarm on social media few days after she didn’t come back as the search for her begun.
Unfortunately, after the missing person’s report started going viral, she was reportedly found dead around Maryland, Enugu and it was claimed that she had been doused with acid.
Friends of the deceased took to social media to call for justice for Ijeoma and fortunately, the culprits (a sister and her brother) have been arrested and charged with her murder.
The siblings identified as Ifezue Chiamaka and Ifezue Emeka were arraigned for the murder of Ijeoma, at Enugu State Magistrate Court on Wednesday, Feb 3.
It was gathered that Chiamaka allegedly lured Ijeoma to her home by inviting her for a makeup job. She thereafter conspired with her brother to kill Ijeoma for allegedly having an affair with her boyfriend.
On her arrival, Ijeoma suspected a foul play and sent a message to her friend, before being forced to drink a poisoned substance. The two siblings then allegedly poured acid on Ijeoma.
A witness at the court said he saw Emeka Ifezue pour acid on the body of Ijeoma after they dumped her body at the Maryland axis of Enugu Metropolis.
The boyfriend was also present in court and was willing to testify against the siblings.
The case has been adjourned till February 24, 2021.

In the viral video the businessman who added the luxury car to his fleet of cars was looking forward to bringing the car to Nigeria.
His friend is also seen in the video buying an expensive car too and saying he was bringing it to Nigeria.

However, Nestor reportedly died while in Dubai police custody, weeks after.

A popular Abuja-based businessman, Nelson was caught on camera assaulting his cleaner for asking for her salary.
It was gathered that the young lady, Precious was contracted to clean Nelson’s newly built house, and charged him N130,000 which he agreed to pay.
However, When the work was almost completed, Precious went to Nelson and asked for half of the money in order for her the boys that helped her with the job.
According to a report by Sapele Matters, Nelson refused to pay the cleaner and ordered her out of his compound. When she refused to leave, he threw out her cleaning equipment and mercilessly beat her with what looked like a rod or wood.
Nelson was arrested after the case was reported to the police, but was later released. The cleaner alleged that at the police station, the businessman boasted that he will use his money and influence to win the case.

Kidnappers have killed a US-based Nigerian man, Prince Eloniyo Dennis Abuda, after payment of N10m ransom to secure his release and that of other family members.
Abuda’s decomposing body was found in a bush near the small town of Agbanikaka, Ovia North East Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday, February 2, four days after he was kidnapped.
The businessman who came into the country for the Christmas celebration was abducted alongside some family members on Saturday, January 30, 2021, along the Benin-Akure road on his way to Lagos from Fugar, Etsako Central Local Government near Agbanikaka.
A woman who was travelling with him to Lagos to catch a flight back to the United States was also kidnapped.
According to a family source, the realtor and president of Fugar America Foundation was reportedly shot dead by the kidnappers after he slumped during the forced long march to the forest.
“Prince Abuda was shot dead by the abductors when he couldn’t walk anymore and slumped. The kidnappers didn’t want to leave him behind as they were afraid that he will reveal their hideout to security agencies and so decided to shoot him.” the source told Tribune.
The corpse has been deposited at an undisclosed hospital in Edo State, pending burial arrangements by the family.
A viral video has captured the moment a man carefully slipped a substance into another man’s drink while they party together.
In the video it appears the “victim” was partying with a group of people when one of them tactically slipped something into his drink.
Something was sprayed in the man’s eyes to distract him, while he battled to open his eyes his drink had already been laced.

In other news, A Nigerian man has shared screenshot of a message he got from a cab driver who refused to return his brownies, after he forgot them in his car.
A Twitter user, @thatsickdude who shared the story on the platform revealed he boarded a cab and forgot his cake in the car. He later begged the driver to return the brownies but he refused.
The driver later ate the cake which unknown to him was laced with marijuana.
From the message sent to Twitter user, the cab driver begged for forgiveness after eating the laced cake and complained of “strange sleep.”

Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo has taken to social media to appreciate God for saving his life from a helicopter crash two years ago.
Recall that on the 2nd of February 2019, the politician alongside eleven others narrowly escaped death after they were involved in a helicopter crash in Kogi state.
The Vice President remembered the incident today, February 3rd, and expressed his deep gratitude to God for overturning the outcome of the accident.

Renowned Nigerian writer,Chimamanda Adichie, has revealed why she stopped attending Catholic churches in Nigerian.
She revealed this in an exclusive interview with media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Bounce Radio earlier in the year.
Speaking in the interview, the 43-year-old writer explained that she does not attend Catholic churches in Nigeria because activities became “way too much” about money, fundraising, and thanksgiving.
She also revealed that she considers herself a Catholic, but is truly agnostic and questioning.
In her words,
“Nigerian Catholicism is way too much about money, fundraising, and thanksgiving. Some in the east even look at who’s wearing gold. I think the focus of religion should be things Nigerian Catholicism doesn’t focus on.
“I grew up Catholic. Catholicism was very important to me. It‘s almost like a culture, not just a religion. So even if you leave the Catholic Church, it’s in you. Today, I don’t like to talk about religion because I don’t know.
“I think of myself as agnostic and questioning. Catholicism holds you tight. There are many other protestant denominations that are not so. It’s all-inclusive. ‘You cannot eat before mass. You have to go to confession.’
“There are so many rules. It teaches you guilt in a way that I don’t think so many protestant denominations do. I’m Catholic, nominally. I still feel protective of some things about the Catholic Church. But I don’t attend it in Nigeria.”
Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu, who recently came out as gay, has taken a swipe at Christians condemning gays and homosexuals.
The controversial actor opined that Jesus was not against homosexuality in the new testament, so Christians shouldn’t as well.

An Ibadan-based photographer, identified as Victor, has taken to Twitter to narrate how he was assaulted by policemen in an unlicensed bus.
According to him, he was driving from the University of Ibadan to an area called Vine Branch in the state when he noticed that he was being tailed by a white bus.
In his defense, he said he thought the occupants of the bus were armed robbers so he sped off. Unfortunately, when he was close to his destination, he had to slow down, which made them catch up with him.
He said he was physically assaulted and harrassed by the men, who later identified themselves as police officials.
He added that he was whisked off in their bus, and later released after they had thoroughly searched him and found nothing.

I was so confused. What did I do?. One exclaimed “Why are you running?”
I am running because an unknown white vehicle is chasing me ! Damn it ! Do you think I will not stop if police was written on the bus?!
These guys threw me in the bus and two supposed officers without uniform got into my vehicle.
They took my phones and started asking questions. I was asked to unlock my phones.
They turned around and headed towards Jericho . I practically told them the whole story of my life even down to where my parents worked . I told them I just finished from UI, I told them I am a photographer and they believed nothing.
One asked how many accounts I got ,another asked for my Gmail. They even asked how I came about the money to purchase my vehicle. What the hell?!!!! After searching through the trip and they found nothing . They parked both vehicles in front of DStv office Jericho.
The so called “Head of Operation” looked at me and said “Say the truth now or we will go and run your phone through forensics!” . I told them there’s nothing else to say after I have said nothing but the truth. They handed my license and ID cards to me and asked me to go”

A beautiful Nigerian lady, Jessica Levi has taken to her Twitter page to share screenshot of chat she sent to international footballer Alex Iwobi, three years ago.
Jessica who was 18 at the time, had a crush on the Nigerian professional footballer, and kept trying her luck in his DM.
18-year-old Jessica sent several messages to the footballer on Instagram, as she constantly professed her love for him.
In one of the messages she sent to him the young lady was positive that Alex Iwobi will marry her some day.
Jessica who was 18 at the time, wrote,
“Good luck today on the world cup match I pray you score so many goals, I will be watching you all the way, you made me like football, and I really like you, I don’t care about the money I just want to be friends with you and still your wife also.”
Popular Nigerian comic actor, Onyebuchi Ojieh better known as Buchi has reacted to a viral video of his wife, Rukky being arrested by the police.
The comedian’s wife, Rukky was arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force, after she allegedly harassed the estate security personnel and vandalized items which she was charged N700,000 for by the estate, but she and her husband reportedly refused to pay for.
It was gathered that Rukky was arrested following the altercation on the charges of assault and vandalism.
However, the comedian has now reacted to the allegations levied against his wife, describing the incident as a gang up against his wife. He noted that although she was taken to the police station, he was able to get her out before the next morning.
Narrating what led to the altercation, Buchi stated that the issue began after his younger brother fought the estate security who harassed his niece.
He alleged that after he informed the estate management that he will be suing them after being fined, his power supply was cut off.
Buchi said after his wife went to the estate chairman’s house and demanded that the power supply be restored, residents of the association ganged up against his wife, and destroyed her vehicle.
In an exclusive interview with PUNCH, he was quoted saying,
“I would not want to go into it but I will just want to say that all the allegations are lies. We had an altercation with the estate because one of the security men beat up my niece. My younger brother fought the guy and they fined us. I disagreed because we needed to go into the reason for the altercation; the security people harassed a tenant. They should not fine me because my younger brother defended my niece as I was not around when it happened. They fined us and I said that is not right.
“I initiated legal action and I informed the estate that I will take the matter to court. They said that since I was taking the estate to court, they will not provide power. I am not around and I had already told my wife not to make any trouble with them. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic courts are not sitting so we cannot institute any action. I have a ten-year-old daughter and the heat was getting unbearable for her so my wife went to demand that they should give restore the power, that was part of the video online, this led her to go to the estate association president’s house.
“I think what really caused the problem was that she went to the estate association president’s house and she said that she and her children were not going to leave until they restored the power. That was what caused everything. In the process of trying to eject her, they got into an altercation. My younger brother had to step in. The president cried foul to the members of the association and it turned to a mob and they started manhandling my wife. They went ahead to destroy her car. I have video evidence. I am asking, what did her car do to them? Currently, I am not around but I have been making calls. They took her to the police station but I was able to get her out last night. My wife never embarrassed me in public. She did not sleep at the police station. It was a gang up against my wife.”
