The video of a little Nigerian girl praying for her terminally-ill father who needs money for kidney transplant has melted hearts on social media.

The emotional moment which was filmed and shared online shows the little girl laying her hands on her dad and offering prayers of healing for him.

In the video, the frail man laid in the backseat of the car and the door was wide open as the little girl placed her hands on his head and prayed for him in inaudible words. A lady, who is believed to have recorded the video, could be heard saying Amen to the prayers.

A driver who had the learner sign on his car reportedly crushed six children to death in Edo state.

According to eyewitnesses, the six children which included four girls and two boys said to be siblings, were playing football on the street when the driver while trying to dodge a pothole swerved to where they were and crushed them to death.

It was gathered that the tragic incident happened in Arue-Uromi, Esan-North East Local Government Area of the state.

Following the tragic incident resident of the community immediately blocked the road and set the car ablaze.

The Edo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Henry Benamaisia, confirmed the incident.

In other news, A 50-year-old trader, Mrs. Tuale Iwejim, died after she was hit by a 16-year-old boy who was using his mother’s SUV to test his driving skills at the Arena Shopping Mall, Oshodi, Lagos State.

According to a report by Punch, Tuale was in the shopping complex to purchase some items for her shop when she was knocked down by the SUV. The teenager and his mum were in the shopping complex to pick up some items.

His mother went back to pick their remaining items and asked him to wait in their vehicle. While waiting, some persons began to complain that the SUV was obstructing the free flow of traffic in the complex. Instead of informing them that he couldn’t drive, the teenager took the keys from his mother’s bag and hopped on the driver’s seat. He was said to have put it in reverse and hit the 50-year-old two times

A Nigerian lady identified as Adaobi Eze, has been commended by social media users after she made intentional efforts to help her man get a job.

She took to microblogging platform, Twitter with her handle @Adaobieze2, to announce that she is looking for a job for her man.

Adaeze also mentioned the area he has experience in, which is Logistics and Administrations, adding that she would love it if people could tag her to job vacancies around her man’s area of expertise.

A pregnant Nigerian lady has allegedly been married off to an old man traditionally after the man who impregnated her absconded.

Photos from the wedding ceremony is currently making rounds on social media and have sparked a conversation about the practice, which is said to be a norm in some cultures.

According to Twitter user @TheOliviaLife, the lady’s parents arranged with the old man to marry her so that she can “give birth under his protection and the child will answer his name.” She further revealed that it is one of the practices she is trying to fight against in her community.

Another lady @Kylareetarh also made a shocking revelation related to the controversial topic. She revealed that it is also a common practice in her community and old women are also permitted to marry pregnant young ladies.

The lady is said to have ordered a gift box worth N865,000 as a valentines day present for her lover.

A Nigerian senior citizen has gone viral on social media after she was filmed hijacking a commercial bus following a hot exchange with the bus driver.

Twitter user @iamprofstar who shared the video on his page, said the incident happened because the driver failed to drop his passengers at Orile Bus Stop along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway and blatantly refused to give them their ”change”.

A Nigerian man identified as Imbul Dooyum Kelvin, and his wife, Mimidoo Rufina, have called out a Lagos Hospital, Gbaja Randle Mother and Child hospital in Surulere, Lagos, over alleged negligence which led to the death of their two-month-old twin-daughter, Zoe.

The heartbroken father disclosed the unfortunate incident occurred on Friday, January 15, 2020, two days after they arrived the hospital.

In his words ;

“We woke-up on Wednesday morning and my wife said our baby wasn’t eating well again so we took her to the hospital, the doctor examined her and said she was ok but let us run a blood test to confirm if there was an infection.

Shortly after they took blood from her, my daughter cried for two-hours nonstop. We called the attention of the doctor and they rushed her to the ER and placed her on oxygen.

She was responding very well not until on Friday, the doctor came in and asked my wife to breastfeed her because she was stable for breastfeeding, after breastfeeding her, my baby started crying and my wife ran to the nurses to please come check our daughter but instead they sent her away, telling her she disturb too much.

My wife begged them with tears that please she’s not understanding her daughter but they neglected her, it was after the baby gave up that my wife started crying that they came to check her but by this time she was far gone already.”

The University of Ilorin Teaching hospital recorded a major feat recently as a set of conjoined female twins were successfully separated by a team of medical experts on Thursday, January 14.

The babies were separated by a 66-member all Nigerian team of paediatric surgeons, paediatricians, paediatric cardiologist, anaesthetists, cardiothoracic surgeon, nurses, pharmacists, behavioral scientists and many more.
