An Economic and Financial Crimes Commission investigating officer, Adariko Michael, on Tuesday, 10th November, 2020, alleged that N2.2 billion was spent on prayers in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia to win the war against Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria.
He was giving evidence as the first prosecution witness (PW1) in the trial of Sambo Dasuki, former National Security Adviser (ONSA) to President Goodluck Jonathan, in the alleged two billion dollars arms deal fraud.
Others charged with Mr Dasuki, a retired colonel, are a former General Manager with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Aminu Baba-kusa, Acacia Holdings Limited and Reliance Referral Hospital Limited.
They were charged with 32 counts bordering on misappropriation, criminal breach of trust, dishonest release and receiving various sums of money before Husseini Baba-Yusuf.
“Between September 27, 2013, and April 16, 2015, N50 million was credited to Reliance Referral Hospital’s account.Based on responses from the banks involved, as investigating officer, we found out that money was transferred to several individuals and companies.
When we went through the account statement, we asked the second defendant (Aminu Babakusa) the reason for this.He informed us that the money was used to hire clerics to pray for the nation as regards Boko Haram crisis,” he said.
A Nigerian lady has shared the conversation she had with her landlord who told her to sleep with him and his two sons, so she can be free from paying rent to him for two years.
The quite annoyed lady lamented on a FB group chat and asked for her details not to be disclosed, as she revealed the encounter between herself and her landlord.

This is coming after a Nigerian activist, Kenechukwu Okeke filed a lawsuit against him and 49 other celebrities for their involvement in #EndSARS protest.

A Ghanaian man left shocked after he bought a new smartphone on the streets of Accra, only for him to get home and realize that he bought packaged wood.
The victim’s brother called Thomas Tag Amenyo shared the details on Facebook where he also uploaded pictures of the ‘wooden phone’.
Thomas sounded so disappointed by what was done to his brother by the fraudsters.

The female doctor who accused her UK-based colleague and popular social media commentator, Dr Olufunmilayo, of allegedly raping her during a visit to the European country, Dr Bola has been accused of dashing away on a bike after a defamation lawsuit was refiled against her before a federal high court.
It should be recalled that the rape allegation case took another twist after the UK police cleared Dr Olunfunmilayo of any wrongdoing following an investigation.
It was later reported that 24-year-old Bola Aseyan was arraigned before a Yaba Magistrate Court in September on a five-count charge bordering on a false accusation, criminal defamation of character and offensive publication likely to cause a breach of the peace, following a lawsuit filed by the UK-based doctor.
Giving an update on the case, popular Nigerian Twitter influencer Pamilerin alleged that Bola fled on a bike after the case was withdrawn from the magistrate court and refiled before a Federal High Court.
Pamilerin also revealed that the police now has an arrest warrant for her.

Some quite enraged Nigerians trooped to the Facebook page of a man who was accused of attacking his wife with a cutlass in Lagos on Tuesday.

Governor Seyi Makinde has declared that he does not want anything to do with the bill that supports the regulation of social media.
The Governor said this while making a clarification on a report of South-West leaders supporting the regulation of social media.
He stated that contrary to media reports, their position remained that since there’s already an extensive Cybercrime Act, there’s no need for any other bills to regulate social media.

A young Nigerian man, Kolomafe Tope Emmanuel has been celebrated online after he returned a lost wallet containing N20,000 cash and other important documents to the owner.
According to the owner, Pharez Okpere, we lost the wallet last Sunday along airport road in Benin City, Edo State. Thankfully, he was able to get everything he lost because of the good Nigerian who found it.
Okpere took to his social media page to share :
“THERE ARE MILLIONS OF GOOD PEOPLE IN NIGERIA.
On Sunday 8th November 2020, I went to airport road and somehow misplaced my wallet with about 20,000 naira cash, my driving licence and 5 ATM cards and other documents, it was a personal disaster for me as I lost hope of ever recovering my wallet,” he wrote.

According to him, she had a boil at the back of her ear due to an allergic reaction, and it kept growing bigger, which eventually caused the swelling on her face.
