Netizens have dragged the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun for referring to Nigerians as sore losers.

Dapo Abiodun had said this while reacting to the number of Nigerians who trooped out to protest against the current government.

The governor mentioned that the protest is useless and anybody who has a problem with this current government should wait till 2027.

Recall, that Nigerians have trooped out in large numbers to protest about the state of the country’s economy and the negligence of the federal government.

Dapo Abiodun also claimed that the protest had been sponsored by opposing political parties who lost in the 2023 election.

He went on to say that;

“The medicine for a headache is not to cut off the head. We must all work together, join hands together, and speak to each other. Let us have a constructive dialogue whereby you have a responsive agitation in place.”

Lead City University student goes missing while traveling home from school

A female student of Lead City University named Sonia has been declared missing while leaving school for home.

It was reported that she was last heard from in Ijebu-ode while being conveyed to Lagos in a public transport.

Her twin was said to have called her once during the journey but hasn’t heard from her up until now.

At first, her mobile phone was turned off, then turned on around midnight hour and no one has been answering the call.

The text attached to the missing lady image read; “Missing person: my friend Sonia has been missing since yesterday, she was coming home from school (Lead City University) she boarded a bus at toll gate Ibadan and her twin sister spoke to her around 1 pm she said she was at Ijebu ode and since that time she has been nowhere to be found, her twin called her about 2 pm she wasn’t picking anymore around 3 am in the midnight her phone switched off. It has been on since 7 am this morning till now but still no one is picking up. Please help a friend repost.”

As of the time of this report, the young lady is yet to be found and hasn’t been heard from.

A young girl has garnered the attention of internet users after she joined fellow Nigerians to protest on the street of Lagos.

The girl who is said to be eight years old was seen carrying a placard and protesting alongside other Nigerians.

According to reports, the young child had joined the protest because her family could no longer afford to send her to school, nor could they afford their house rent.

Speaking to a reporter at the scene of the protest, she said;

“My Name is Emmanuella, I am here to protest because the government needs to reduce the price of things. My dad can’t afford my school fees and house rent. Also, Nigeria is no more like before, now if I want to buy a biscuit for 50 Naira they will say it’s hundred.”

Netizens who came across videos and pictures of the girl protesting have tagged her as a hero who wouldn’t be forgotten so easily.

A Nigerian woman has gone viral after she brought an empty pot along with her to the protest venue in Ojota, Lagos.

The picture which circulated quickly on different social media platforms generated different reactions from internet users.

Remember that Nigerians have trooped out to different locations in different states to protest about the hardship in the country.

The peaceful protest which has been set to hold from 1st August to 10th August has been trending on the microblogging platform X with the hashtag #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria

The woman who decided to join the protest went with an empty pot to signify that Nigerians are hungry and can barely feed.

The Nigerian pastor, Abel Damina has dropped another controversial statement about procreation and the role of God in it.

In a video teaching, he had said, “God does not give children. A young man on drugs rapes a girl on the road, and she gets pregnant and & gives birth to twins, while a couple that has been faithfully paying tithe, fasting and praying for 15 years do not yet have a baby, can it be said that God is responsible? God can never be like that. God has already set the system of reproduction, it is humans that’ll determine whether they want to get pregnant by engaging in the needful or not.”

An aggrieved student did a video addressing the online viewers on how a female lecturer did them dirty in the exam hall, thereby incurring curses upon herself.

It is assumed that the older woman had fastidiously refused to allow cheating or engaging in any examination malpractice, which angered the students.

Due to this, many rained curses on her and so the student had gone online to update whoever was concerned to pray for their strict mother.

In the viral video he made and shared online, the student said, “Everybody dey say they get the best father, they get the best mother in the whole world. Woman wey come invigilate us today ehn, if na your mama, every two two minutes just dey mention your mama name dey shout “blood of Jesus”. A young man has taken to X (Twitter) to share how his cousin never spoke again after he answered a phone call.

He stated that the incident which happened eleven years ago remains a mystery because his cousin still spoke to her mum that day.

The young man also added that his cousin passed away one year after the mysterious phone call, and up till now, they have no idea what the other person on the phone said to her.

His tweet read;

“Eleven years ago, my cousin answered a phone call and never uttered a single word again. Nothing happened to her physically. Before then, she was even discussing with her mother. In vain, we hoped that she’ll break free from whatever it was and tell us what she heard on the call. But sadly in 2014, she passed. We hoped that it was a spiritual thing so we took her to several churches, but no help came. My cousin’s call came on a Sunday evening. She was having dinner when her phone rang. Unlike how it is in some families, in their house, they do not gather at a table to eat dinner together. Everybody simply eats whenever they’re hungry. Hence, she was sitting alone on the table. Her mother said she was in the bathroom when she heard her shout, and then she ran out, trying to find out what happened. She stood, watching her on the call, hoping she’d hang up and tell her what happened, but after that call, she became cold and never spoke again till date.”

A US-based Nigerian software engineer and Facebook influencer, Daniel Tanimawo addressed his audience on how to treat deadbeat and absent fathers.

Sharing his controversial view on his Facebook handle, he captioned, “If your biological father abandoned you when you were young, abandon him when he’s old. Give him a taste of his own medicine”.

A Nigerian lady cries out after discovering dead ants inside the fruit salad she ordered from an online vendor.

The lady who identifies as @lydiaempress77 expressed her disappointment after she had ordered fruit salad but discovered a number of ants in the fruit.

She had paid for a plate of fruit salad consisting; of banana, watermelon, groundnut and cucumber.

Upon the delivery, she was shocked to discover dead ants lying in the fruit she was supposed to consume. She was left heartbroken as she couldn’t devour her fruit and the money spent wasn’t refundable.
