The is a prevalent gender war on Twitter Nigerian and it seems to be getting uglier with each passing day.
A young man on the micro-blogging platform ignited the wrath of many after he opined that most girls wouldn’t have has experienced some level of ‘enjoyment’ if it wasn’t for the male gender.

Late army commander identified as Col. Dahiru Chiroma Bako who was killed in an ambush by Boko Haram members in Damboa on Sunday, has been buried in Borno state today, September 22nd.
It was learnt that the Colonel and some soldiers were traveling when their vehicle was ambushed near Damboa, about 85 kilometres from Maiduguri.
He reportedly gave up the ghost at the military hospital in Borno state and Until his death, he was the commander of 25 Task Force Brigade in Damboa.
Speaking at the deceased funeral, the state governor, Babagana Zulum, commended the military officer and announced a house and cash donation to Bako’s family.
In his words,
“Indeed it is a very sad moment, this is not a loss to the family of Late Col. Dahiru Chiroma Bako alone, not to the Nigerian Military, it is a loss to Borno and indeed Nigeria.”
Col. Bako was a gallant and dodged military officer, under whose watch Damboa was never defeated. He humble and committed in discharging his duties, he is part of the success recorded in degrading boko haram insurgency in Borno State.”
He has been one of the greatest in trying to stabilize not only Borno but even the neighbouring Yobe State. We will remember his contributions forever, may almighty Allah reward him, and forgive him.”
To his family may they bear this irreparable lost. To all the soldiers and officers of the Nigerian Military that lost their lives, may Almighty Allah reward and forgive them. The injured ones we pray for their quick recovery.
I am reliably informed that Col. Bako did not have a house of his own. We cannot ignore the family he left behind. We share their grief and nothing can equal his life. Nevertheless, I am pleased to announce that Borno State Government will build a befitting house for the family of late Col. Bako. I was also told that the Nigerian Army under the distinguished leadership of Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai has offered a scholarship to his children, we will also support the family to compliment the efforts of the military.”
For the welfare of his family, Borno State Government will relase the sum of 20 million as support for them. A cheque to the effect will be ready later today or tomorrow morning”, he added.
Popular Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade has taken to social media to state that it’s never a woman’s fault that her man cheats.
According to the singer, no matter how good a woman is, she can never be good enough for men who already have cheating as a part of them.
Yemi in her tweet also faulted the society for finding it easy to blame the woman for the man’s misdoings, and tagging a woman who cheat “slut”, when the same energy is not used to reprimand a cheating husband.

Big Brother Naija ‘Lockdown’ housemate, Neo has admitted making a mistake by not proposing to Vee when he had the chance.
Recounting the mistakes he has made in the house, Neo mentioned the period he didn’t propose to Vee as one of the grave mistakes he has made and it hurts him.
According to him, his chances with Vee looks slimmer as Vee has already said she is not interested in being in a relationship with him anymore because he never proposed to her.

A teenage Anambra school boy has been arrested and paraded by the men of the state police command after he was caught with a double-barreled gun in school.
The 16-year-old cultist identified as Echezoma Metu is currently undergoing investigation after being caught with the deadly weapon inside his school compound at Igboukwu.
According to reports, Echezoma confessed to being a cultist.
Meanwhile, Operatives of the the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC), Ilorin zonal office, have arrested two lecturers of the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa: Abdulahi Opashola and Adebisi Ademola and twenty-eight others over their alleged involvement in offences bordering on internet fraud.
The twenty-eight other suspects are: Kingsley Essien; Tobiloba Adenuga; Tope Ayodele; Rasheed Mujib; Oladipo Opeyemi; Saadu Muktar; Oladejo Hammed; Hammed Tope; Ameachi Umenyi, Salauden Adam and Afolabi Gafar.

An Indian man who has 5 daughters, allegedly slit open his pregnant wife’s stomach in a bid to confirm the gender of the baby out of desperation for a male child.
The 43 year old man, identified as Pannalal, attacked his pregnant wife, Anita Devi with a sickle on Saturday night, Sept 19 at their home in Budaun in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, leaving her in a pool of blood.
Anita’s family told investigators that the husband attacked and sliced open her stomach to check the gender of the child.
Anita’s younger brother, Ravi Kumar said, “My brother-in-law used to beat up my sister often for giving birth to five daughters. Even my parents tried to resolve the problem, but no one had ever imagined that he would take such a cruel step.”
According to Time of India.com, Anita has been admitted to Safdarjung hospital with the help of the police. Fortunately, the baby in the womb is unhurt but Anita’s condition has declined due to severe damage and excessive bleeding from the attack.
The Civil Lines Police Station SHO, Sudhakar Pandey confirming the attack said the man got into an altercation with his wife who is about six to seven months pregnant over fear that the next child would also be a girl.
“A priest had predicted that their sixth child would also be a girl. Pannalal then attacked Anita with a sickle on her abdomen to kill the fetus after she refused to have an abortion.”
However, Pannalal said he did not intentionally hurt his wife as he is a father of 5 daughters and his action was a mistake.
He told local media that he threw the sickle at her but had no idea it would injure her so severely.
“I have five daughters, one of my sons is dead. I know that children are the gift of God. Now whatever is to happen, will happen.”
Controversial investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has claimed that she babysat popular Nigerian singer, Davido when he was a baby and his mum needed to go to the mall.
She made this revelation when a fan took to Twitter to plead that the journalist should treat Davido like a brother, adding that she should let go of every grievances between them.
Kemi reacting to the plea stated that the singer cannot be her younger brother because all her children are older than Davido.
She tweeted,
“Davido is not a younger brother to me. He is a young man I babysat when his mother needed to go to Lennox mall, Atlanta twice. My children are older than him?”.
Recall that kemi recently took to her Social media page to blast Nigerian Singer, Davido for reasons best known to her.

Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi-Wellington has revealed that she took almost 3 months off social media last year and might go off again.
Taking to her twitter page, she said those 3 months were very peaceful as she went on vacation with her husband, had fun, engaged in important meetings and spent quality time in the presence of God.

A 17-year-old boy identified as Pelumi Oloyede-Bello, have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly drugging and rapping a 14- year-old girl in Ejigbo area of the state.
It was learnt that, Pelumi who worked as an agent for an electricity company met the teenage girl when he went to install prepaid meters for some residents of Akinwunmi street, Ile-Epo area of Ejigbo.
The victim was trying to recharge her parent’s prepaid meter when Oloyede offered to help, he took her to the electric distribution company in Okota where the recharge was done.
On their way back, Pelumi reportedly took the girl to a hotel at Jakande gate, where he allegedly drugged her drink and raped her.
During questioning, the suspect confessed to have drugged her with 200 milligrams of tramadol.
In his words,
“I offered to go and recharge their meter myself but her grandmother asked her to follow me. On our way back, I bought her a bottle of soft drink. But before giving it to her, I went to the hotel where I dropped 200 milligrams of tramadol inside. I took her to the hotel where I paid N2,500 and had sex with her,” he said.
“She slept for too long because of the drug and by the time she woke up, it was late. When she got home, they asked what kept her long and in the process, beat her in order to extract the truth from her. That was how she opened up.
“I have never committed such a crime in my life. This is the first time. I used tramadol to sleep because of the noise of the power generating sets in my compound every night. My intention was never to end up in this type of trouble.
“I dropped out of school two years ago because my mother, a widow, didn’t have money to pay for my SSCE exam. I started installing prepaid meters and was paid N1,000 commission. I have been saving the money to enrol for the SSCE examination. My mother is working as a maid to keep the family going”, he said.
The Police Pubic Relations Officer of the state, SP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the arrest.
One of the top five housemates in the Big Brother House, Dorathy has revealed why she stopped being friend with evicted housemate, Lucy.
She stated in a conversation with fellow housemate Vee, that she ended her friendship with her one-time bestie when Lucy told Erica and other housemates that they were never friends.
Dorathy further revealed that she never supported Lucy during her fights in the house because she felt Lucy was using the fights to gain unnecessary attention.
She said,
“I felt Lucy was doing too much to get reactions and I don’t like stress. That’s one of the reasons I don’t like having female friends because it’s too stressful.
“I felt she was getting into fights to get attention so I backed off and never supported her but she took offence at that.
“For me, it’s never that deep. Lucy also told Erica twice in front of all housemates that I’m not her friend and that was how our friendship ended for me.”
Disqualified housemate BBNaija lockdown, Erica, says she didn’t dwell on her status as an established actress during her stay in the house.
Giving her reasons, the actress said she did that because she had yet to be at par with her mentors.
In a chat with CEO and publisher of Ovation magazine, Dele Momodu, a celebrity journalist, Erica detailed her life before BBNaija; her upbringing as an only child; and how her quest to break into the movie scene saw her study in the UK.
“People know me from BBNaija but I’m an actress. I’ve done movies. I’m a very ambitious person. I didn’t feel like I was a star because what I consider a star was like at the top level,” she said.

Back in the ‘Lockdown’ house, Erica had first broken the rules on whispering and misuse of the head of house (HoH) lounge.
She, thereafter, earned her third and disqualifying strike on three count charges of goading, threatening a housemate, and interfering with the production process after her verbal exchange with Laycon.
“During NYSC, I decided to follow my dreams. I always wanted to work in entertainment. While in university, I used to go for modeling, TV commercials,” Erica continued.
“My first commercial was in 2018 but my major job happened at around 2013/14. I started acting in 2015 and it was so difficult because there was the feeling that beauty pageant girls can’t act.
“My first movie role was ‘Secret and Scandals’. I did a few series and movies. 2016 was a dry spell. I did the only movie. That’s why I had to go back looking for an office job.
“In 2017, I started going for movie premieres, talking to directors. I would make monologues of myself and send them to them. Then I started getting little roles here and there.
“2018 was good. I shot a lot of movies and series. In 2019, I decided I wanted to go to film school. So I went to the Met Film School in London. And they said I was the best actress in my class.
“I came back towards the end of the year and started networking again. I got another movie role. Things were looking good and then I saw the Big Brother audition. And I decided to give it a try.”
Nigerian singer, Olawale Olofooro, best known as Brymo has taken to social media to share his two cents on how best to build a nation.
According to the Ara crooner, raising women who can think is the secret to ensuring that a nation is built and buil the right way.

A man, Seun has recounted how he left his wife while she was about to give birth in the hospital and went to have fun with his friends.
Seun in a recent post on micro-blogging site, Twitter, reminisced on the moment, in a bid to celebrate his daughter’s first birthday.
Sharing the story via his handle @MistaSeun_, the man revealed how he left her at the hospital and went to drink with his friends, only for him to get a message from her saying she was through with having the baby.

Former presidential aide and socio-political commentator, Reno Omokri has aired his opinion about how husbands should handle money in their home.
According to him, the husband’s money is meant to be spent by hos entire family, comprising of him, his wife and children. However, the husband has no business with his wife’s money.

After his eviction the consultant stated that, Ozo, he knows people would think he is a dumb person because of the way he was always around Nengi during his time in the house.
Speaking shortly after his eviction, he said he understood that the show wasn’t a love show but a reality show… however he got into the house, met Nengi and fell in love with her.
Ozo said he started feeling in a special way about Nengi around week three when he got close to her and knew what she was all about.

First class Nigerian slay king, Idris ‘Bobrisky’ Okuneye, has taken to social media to mock Nigerian celebrities who insulted and looked down on him when he was still ‘up and coming’.
