Nollywood Actress, Omoni Oboli has showered praises on Iyabo Ojo, eulogizing her for her feminine strength, sound parenthood and congratulated her on her newly acquired mansion.

Omoni Oboli took to her Instagram account to recognize and pour encomium on the single mother. She referred to her as her Man Crush Monday, a boss lady and tiktok queen, praising her for her career successes.

According to her, Iyabo Ojo is a source of motivation and inspiration to her. Adding that the actress brings smiles, joy, encouragement and goodwill.

A tweet that’s currently serving rounds on social media shows how a debtor was desperately begging his creditor who he mistakenly sent money to after ghosting him for a while.

Apparently, the debtor had been owing his creditor for a very long time and and when there didn’t seem an intent to pay up, the creditor refused to return the money that was erroneously sent to him by his debtor.

Sharing a screenshot of their chat on microblogging platform, Twitter, the user said he’s less bothered with the bickering of his debtor who’s seen desperately pleading that he returns the money.

The user wrote,

Someone that owes me money just mistakenly credited my account. Money don turn my own sha , all this shalaye no concern me

He later went on to share that he’s feeling guilty with the way the debtor kept begging but didn’t reveal whether or not he reverted the money.

As Nigeria prepares to celebrate its 60th independence anniversary, President Buhari has described Nigeria as the most prosperous black nation in the world and the largest economy in Africa.

The President said this when he spoke at the unveiling ceremony of the theme and logo for the nation’s 60th independence anniversary in Abuja today September 16.

A statement released by presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina, quotes President Buhari as saying

“Today, we stand on the threshold of history as we formally begin a series of activities commemorating Nigeria’s Diamond Anniversary. The task history has saddled me with today is to proclaim a theme that will keep us united, help us forge ahead and unveil a logo that will form the critical pillars which our 11-month modest commemorative activities would rest on.

Celebrating sixty years of independence really calls for pomp, but the global COVID-19 pandemic, which has forced all nations in the world to think and act differently, has also foisted on us the imperative of a low-keyed celebration.

Operating within the limitations placed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we created an internet challenge for Nigerians to make a choice from a set of four pre-selected logos that would appropriately define the theme.

Of these four options, Nigerians from all walks of life participated in making a choice and I am happy to let you know that the logo I would be unveiling is a product of choice from the Nigerian people.

A 22 year-old man, identified as Murtari Husseini has been reunited with his family after he was found chained and dumped behind a mosque in Kwali Area Council, Abuja.

According to reports, the young man was found with his legs and hands chained and dumped behind Kwali Central Mosque on September 4.

He was immediately rescued and rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

In an update, the Facebook user who shared the story of the incident said that Muktar has been reunited with his family after he was discharged from the hospital.

Nigerian rapper, CDQ has made a very interesting statement about late Dagrin’s impact on the Nigerian Hip Hop music scene.

CDQ made this known while speaking on the first episode of Henessy’s Hip-Hop Docu-series, “The Conversation”.

The rapper alongside Vector, M.I Abaga, DJ Jimmy Jatt gave their respective opinions on the evolution of Hip Hop in Nigeria.

According to him, since Dagrin’s untimely death, Hip Hop suffered a major decline even till now. He further buttressed his point saying the rapper was the only artiste in his own opinion that stayed true to the genre.

He died on April 22, 2010. He was just 22 years old, but his unique style of rap music was already very popular.

In the early hours of April 14, 2010 Dagrin had been involved in a lone accident, colliding with a stationary articulated vehicle in front of Alakara Police Station, off Agege Motor Road, Mushin, Lagos.

Before he gave up the ghost, he had first been treated at Tai Solarin Hospital, Mushin but was later transferred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba, where doctors declared him dead after efforts to save his life failed.

Though he lived a short life, his style of indigenous rap is still influencing the Nigerian music scene. Artistes like Olamide, lil Kesh, Phyno, Reminisce and many others are some of the best examples of Dagrin’s influence on the Nigerian music scene.

According to Terry Waya, he was given the job to develop the area before he handed over the contract to Chagoury to do the job.

Terry hails from Benue state but moved to Kaduna where he got married and brought up his kids before sending them off to a boarding school in London.

“That Banana Island was given to me. Not many people know that I discovered that Banana Island. I brought Chagoury to do the project. Nobody knew that there was a Banana Island there.

“One day, I visited one of my closest friends called General Adisa who was the minister of works at the time. I, then, saw a big poster behind him with the words Banana Island. I asked him about it and he said that they were looking for a partner to do the work and then sell the land together.

“He said that the government will have their share and the partners too will have their share. I told him I was interested and he said no problem. And that was how Banana Island came to live”. He added.

It is indeed a thing of honor for a lady to decide to follow the career path of her mother and see it through to completion.

The poster shared two pictures, a “before and after” portrait of the beautiful women who bear a striking resemblance and have the same smile.

According to her, the throwback picture was taken in 1998 when the lady was still a little girl while the second photo was taken on September 5th, 2020.

In the first picture, the cute little girl was sitting on her mother’s laps. The second photo was taken in a studio with the mother and daughter wearing their full barrister regalia.

BBNaija Lockdown housemate, Laycon revealed he was planning to do my masters and also study law before I entered the house.

He made this revelation while having a late night conversation with Ozo and Nengi.

The upcoming artiste also revealed that he had planned to study Law in school before he got into the Big Brother Naija house.

A few days after he got into the house, there were claims that he was the best graduating student of his department in Philosophy from the University of Lagos.

His desire to study law comes as no surprise to his fans and even the housemates as many attest to his brilliancy.

He noted that he was idle during his NYSC and decided to further his education, however, when the opportunity to get into the house came, he decided to jump at it.

Laycon also talked about his plans for his music career when he finally leaves the BBNaija house.

Reality star and ex contestant of BBNaija ‘Pepper Dem’ season, Khafi Kareem has returned to Nigeria after spending six months in London.

The ex-Metropolitan police officer was welcomed by her fiance and fellow ex-housemate, Gedoni who was waiting at the Lagos International Airport, September 15.

A video shared on micro-blogging platform, Twitter shows Gedoni handing her a bouquet of flowers as they hugged and kissed in the airport parking lot.

The couple got engaged on December 25 2019, while on their vacation in Cape Verde.

BBNaija: Kiddwaya reveals what happened when he shared the toilet with Nengi

Evicted BBNaija housemate, Kiddwaya, has finally opened up on what happened between him and fellow housemate, Nengi in the toilet.

Recall, Nengi and Kiddwaya were caught by Ozo and Neo after both of them used the bathroom immediately after a Saturday night party on August 30.

Ozo who seemed jealous about the incident confronted Nengi to know what she and Kiddwaya were doing in the toilet when he opened the door.

Nengi, however, stated that Kiddwaya was helping her to zip her dress.

She said,

“Kiddwaya was just helping to zip up my cloth. I can’t zip it alone, so I told him to help me.

“If I was doing something bad I won’t be calm when you and Neo saw us.

Ozo, however, did not seem convinced by her explanation.

Kiddwaya speaking on the issue on Tuesday during his media tours said it was a coincidence meeting Nengi in the toilet.

Kiddwaya who maintained that Ozo was threatened by him said that Nengi only asked him to help zip her dress.

“It was just a coincidence meeting Nengi there, and she asked me to help her zip her cloth; that was it.”

Prince who was also evicted alongside Kiddwaya added that it was not a big deal because the guys always help ladies to zip their dresses most times.
